The Coffee Stain
The coffee stain imprinted on the page
of notebook paper I'm writing on right now
reminds me of your eyes—
dark, brown spirals cycling around
the pale blue lines that separate
my thoughts; the spacious white
that causes me to recall the downy
purity of the god[ess] I'd
forgotten somewhere. Though
it's just a fragment of a circle,
the roundness dissipating as it lifts,
the image remains, and the imperfections
that sink down beside the words I jot into the
sheets go far deeper than
these scribbles, discoloring the emptiness
further than I know how to admit. And I—
remembering your shape, the way you see, looking
through it— am happy, am awake—
by a jolt of reminiscent caffeine and an embrace that
kindles all tomorrow's pages— and I
am content to ponder of what is
or was or what could've been, letting it all soak as
I start to question what will be.
Que sera, sera.

Que Sera, Sera
(written by j. livingston and r. evans)
Were gathered here this evening to testify
And I want you to know the words for today is let go
(well) ha, I want you to let go
And I want you to just sit back
And relax and open you hearts, your mind and
Let it go, go, go, go, go
Wed like to tell you a story this evening
Havent not so long, long, long ago
Its a story about you and me
Oh, yeah
This is how it goes
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother what will I be
(ooh, will I be pretty) yeah (will I be rich)
Heres what she said to me
Que, sera, sera, whatever will be
Hee, hee, hee, hee
Ha, oh, oh, oh, because, because
The future is not for us to see, no
Que sera (que sera) que sera (que sera)
Que sera, oh--- yeah
When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my lover, ooh, baby
Baby what will I be (hmm, oh, oh, oh)
What will I be
(will I have...)
Heres what my baby said to me
He said que sera, sera
I just wanna say that whatever will be
Hee, hee, hee, hee
(oh---)
Que, que sera, oh, oh, oh, oh (sera) oh (sera)
Oh, hey, hey, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever
Whatever will be, will be
Surely, surely, surely, surely, surely
Surely be, hoo
All because the future is not for us to see
(ooh, no, no, no, no) que sera
(que sera) que sera (que sera)
Que---sera, I want yaul to ....
-musical interlude-
Oh, oh, oh
Que sera, oh
Sera, oh
Sera, whatever, hoo, will be, hoo, yeah
I know, I know, at least I hope that you know
The fu---ture is not for us to see
Que sera (que sera) que sera (que sera)
Oh well, well , well, well, well, well, well
Que------hey, sera-----
Oh, oh--, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Que-----oh, oh, oh!

Que sera sera
When the words are flowing and written
It’s the feeling I could express
Will it be read or immediately forgotten
Will it be an anchor or scrabble of confusion?
I don’t care of those things
Que sera sera
What ever will be, will be
As long as I could be honest to myself
Que sera sera

Scribbles On A Page
Scribbles on a page…
scribbles on a page…
back of a yellow notebook
torn pages out
let me go home
God!
let me go home
Scribbles on a page…
scribbles on a page…
my little black writing pad
bent cover-spine
let me go home
God!
let me go home

Que Sera Sera
They content with
the images of themselves
proud of the genetic chain fulfilled
through their children
Yet they are empty too
for sometime
Just like me
Though i entertain not an image
of anybody
NOT even myself or the other self of myself
IT Is the NOw that i embrace
on a door that closes and opens when i step
outside
i sing, que sera sera
whatever will be will be.

Whatever Will Be Will Be
Got a letter just the other day
So much was left unsaid
When you went away
How my heart grew so cold
From the misery of dreams ago
An open envelope
The last time that we spoke
You said that you would always be my man
And now this letters here
What will you say my dear
To bring me to emotions once again
The truth of it you say
Theres never been day
That youre not sorry you apologize
But life teaches new things
Beyond the pain it brings
You to a place where you are truly wise
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
I know weve made mistakes
Cause love is give and take
I mean to say it wasnt all your fault
I too had some regrets
Such pain Ive felted yet
Its better to have love than not at all
The memories we had of all the good and bad
Has helped me be the woman that I am
So dont apologize
Ive come to realize
Just what is meant by all in love is fair
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
Sometimes its just not meant to be
But the love that we share goes on and on
Spiritually therell be no more crying
No and therell be no more lying no no no no no
And the truth that we gained will offset the pain
And now we finally see
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
Que sera sera
What will be will be
Im happy for you and me
That we can finally see what was meant
Hmm hmm hey ooh yeah oh
Ooh

No Ser Fcil
NO SERA FACIL
-------------
(Gloria Estefan)
No sera facil
despues de amarte tantas veces
olvidarte,
si aun al verte solo quiero acariciarte.
Volver a amarte.
No sera facil
aparentar que entre tu y yo
nada ha pasado,
si aun las huellas de tu amor no se han borrado.
No sera facil.
Estribillo
----------
No sera facil
abandonar esas memorias
que has dejado,
acostumbrarme a que lo nuestro
ya ha pasado,
aunque yo sepa que a mas nadie tu has amado.
No sera facil
verte pasar y no poderte dar
ni un beso,
mirar tus ojos y saber
que no hay regreso,
reconocer que a tu pasado pertenesco.
No sera facil.
No sera facil.
No sera facil
contar las horas hasta ver
la luz del dia,
amanecer en una cama
tan vacia.
No sera facil.
No sera facil
pasar las noches sin poder
hallar el sue#o,
calmar mi llanto cuando surgan
tus recuerdos.
No sera facil.
Estribillo.
No sera facil.

You Really Are.
In memories I ache.
Kisses keep me awake
That never occurred.
Some might have preferred
Not to have loved and lost.
But your smile
Was worth the cost.
Que sera sera.
I bow to my last hurrah
And know
That you really are
- A part of me.
The lovelight
In your eyes
Remains.
When all else dies.
I lost you to the skies
In shades of blue.
My ballerina dances
On petals
Of hope and chances.
Love's flower
Your beauty enhances.
When dreams come true
I'll wait for you.
Someday
We'll both be free.
You really are
- A part of me.

Fresh Notebook
She bought me a fresh notebook
To write my deepest thoughts
Deliver up my soul
Daily to her
A hard serrated border
Thick along the spine
Designed to pay tribute in words
An opening address
A nod a wink
Initialled in my best
Invisible ink
I turn a new leaf over
Another page, far from
A new beginning
Or a new address
A naked page where I confess
My deepest wish
To sleep with you
On sheets of winter snow
One day I'll write
A sonnet for your eyes
Smiling like the cold sunlight
And close the notebook shut
Liberating me
From sharp parallel lines
And you will feed
Your hungered soul
On pages of my life

Out on the pull
I'm sorry for being so blunt,
But admittedly I'm a #@$%,
I care for her looks and blue eyes,
Interest in her words are lies,
If she should tick one box or more,
More than one night could be in store,
A hand I feel I could shatter,
Is held tight to show she matters,
Should she lack plans or act a fool,
I'll try making up these shortfalls,
If it turns out that we do suit,
I wonder if kids would be cute,
And if things do not go that far,
Que sera, sera or huzzah,
I like the arts and going for walks,
Seeking the right girl to court.

Oh! Lisa With These Lovely Eyes
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
So please tell my soul to sympathize,
We shall cry forever in overcast skies
Lisa with the dark brown eyes,
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Heartbroken heart spoken, not taken back
To change a mind so is lifes dream
Lisa with the dark brown eyed
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
That blends your butter scotch face insight
Smiles which brings sparkles to my mind
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Many pre thoughts of your strays hypnotize
French, African, English culture dies
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
She dabbles her life in fiction trash
her soul with curious follies
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Loneliness, has come far a sad. sad day
Emptiness in your mind and heart pay
Lisa with the dark brown eyes
Lisa with the dark, dark, brown eyes
You walk the world in beauty forgotten
They speak about you something forbidden
Lisa with the dark, dark, brown eyes
Lisa with the dark, dark, brown eyes
Your body your mind so whole same so
Your gave birth and I wish I could understand, understand
Lisa with the dark dark raven eyes
Lisa with the dark dark brown eyes
Curiosity is so special time flies, my sighs
Persuaded a fool to be wise, so wise how wise
Lisa with the dark dark brown eyes.

Mr Paddy's Capers.
Just when she thought
She'd found a place alone
To read her book, Mr Paddy
poked his nose between
Her and the open book, so
That pages are blanked out
By his huge head. Mr Paddy
Go off and annoy another,
She said, but he stood there
Determined to be where he
Was, between her and the
Brown covered book, held
Out in her small hands. Oh
Mr Paddy I cannot see the
Pages. Please go off and run
In the garden or in the kitchen
And steal a bone, she said. But
He wouldn't leave her alone,
He pushed his head against her
Young girl body, his damp nose
Dampening her wrist and her
White dress with blue sash, and
Dribble from his lips was wetting
The pages. Mr Paddy please let
Me be, I'm trying to read can't
You see? Mr Paddy's brown eyes
Scanned the pages, nothing there
But scribbled lines upon white paper,
And still he stood wet mouthed with
Big brown eyes and his silly old caper.

The Abyss of Shame
Into the dark abyss
of emptiness I go
Falling deeper inside myself ~
the greatest shame I know.
Hopelessness engulfs me
in ways I cannot express
Say goodbye to joy and laughter
and hello to emptiness.
Shame has joined me in despair
reminds me 'who's to blame'?
Me, for letting it happen to me
or him for all this pain.
I can't bear the painful thoughts
his touch, his breath, his kiss
With no one to hear my cries for help
I slip into my abyss.
It's there I can escape from him
and the memories that remain
Of the touch, the look, the feel of him
and his gift to me of shame.
But though I run, I cannot hide
the pain is everywhere
I just want to forget all I feel
and sink deeper into despair.
Oh please I beg, make me forget
the memories and the pain
The betrayal of trust and loss of me
into the abyss of shame.

Que Sera, Sera

A New Year lies ahead of us. I must admit I’m curious.
to see if experts prophecies will turn out to be theories.
Which passing time will not sustain and leave the experts to explain.
Just how and why they got it wrong I’m sure they’ll sing the same old song.
We’re only men what we express is just an educated guess.
You have to place it in context. They do not know what will come next.
No more than any other man.Although they all profess they can
interpret the faint signs they see and can predict with accuracy.
What events will come to be but get it wrong consistently
That’s why I listen cynically and mostly unbelievingly.
When experts choose to air their views, I find their words of little use.
I much prefer to wait and see: What fate decrees will come to be..

Pale Blue Eyes
Sometimes I feel so happy
Sometimes I feel so sad
Sometimes I feel so happy
But mostly you just make me mad
Baby, you just make me mad
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Thought of you as my mountain top
Thought of you as my peak
A thought of you as everything
Ive had, but couldnt keep
Ive had, but couldnt keep
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Skip a life completely
Stuff it in a cup
They said, money is like us in time
It lies, but cant stand up
Down for you is up
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
It was good what we did yesterday
And Id do it once again
The fact that you are married
Only proves youre my best friend
But its truly, truly a sin
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
If I could make the world as pure
And strange as what I see
Id put you in a mirror
Id put in front of me
Id put in front of me
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes
Linger on your pale blue eyes

To Write To Think To Imagine To Love
i do not just write from a scratch of an idea from anywhere
like i get a pen and a piece of yellow paper, a blank sheet of
bondpaper, unperfumed like the love letter sent to sensuality,
it is not a matter of switching on the light of the lampshade
early dawn, rub my eyes, tap my middle finger on the table,
and breathe deeply and say,
i will write this
emptiness, with no one inside this circle of emptiness,
like an empty set,
zero, nothing inside some domains,
no,
writing starts with someone in mind
not really something lovely that excites my hormones
my lust and desire for another sexual fantasies
it woudl be too selfish
and ignoble,
writing starts with you
the concrete you, the once crying inside the room
on a wintry night, the one who needs the comfort of my
thoughts, the warmth of my concern
though distant
like the sun to another sun to another star to another star
of this galaxy to another galaxy,
i think about your worries
i reflect upon your quest to be alive again
i ponder upon your thirst
for love
something specific
something i can touch with the fingers of my mind
something that i can bite and check if this something is still
tasting the salty taste of the blood of life,
as i grow somehow
i shall think about the great spaces and places of the other worlds
beyond you and me
beyond us,
my mind gaping like an open mouth of a baby
opening to the freshness of this world
i will start with you
your sad eyes, it will start with the question
how can i ever wipe your tears
how can i ever make you smile again
and then the sadness of the world
its miseries
how can we ever heal it,
how can we ever make it green and alive again
from the very beginning

Maa, I can't sleep
Maa, I can't sleep.
A pain crawls up my spine, the loneliness shouts aloud
And the abrupt commotions in my head
Keep me from closing my eyes,
Keep me from peace
Maa, I can't sleep,
The bulb on the wall flickers,
I turn it off and it's too dark around,
Fear rides my nerves
And I am awake all night,
Remembering my deeds and my sins.
Maa I can't sleep,
The dark lids of my eyes
Have imprinted her face; she smiles
And reminds me of the good old times.
But I broke her twice, all the way down;
And so I can't sleep.
Maa, for my lost love and her broken heart
I can't sleep.

Coffee!
Coffee beans all ground up,
Coffee in my favourite cup,
Coffee black, coffee white,
Coffee dark, coffee light,
Coffee right, to start the day,
Coffee at work, coffee at play,
Coffee midday, coffee at night,
Coffee to sober, coffee to excite,
Coffee weak, coffee strong,
But maybe instead some Lapsang Souchong! ! ! !
TEA! ! ! ! !

3: 36 A.m.
just doing something
that touches
the deeper part of the
marrow of my bone
the spirit is alive
the body is weak
there are questions
popping up like
mushrooms after
a rainy night
you ponder upon each
shape and color
round and pale and
expanding
and still tough like
a question begging for
an answer
there is this emptiness
that even a poem
at dusk cannot fill
it exists and its duty
is not to disappear
it enters your heart
and makes its home there
God says
he dwells there as well
