Black And Blue
Cold empty bed...springs hurt my head
Feels like ole ned...wished i was dead
What did i do...to be so black and blue
Even the mouse...ran from my house
They laugh at you...and all that you do
What did i do...to be so black and blue
I'm white...inside...but, that don't help my case
That's life...can't hide...what is in my face
How would it end...ain't got a friend
My only sin...is in my skin
What did i do...to be so black and blue
(instrumental break)
How would it end...i ain't got a friend
My only sin...is in my skin
What did i do...to be so black and blue

(What Did I Do To Be So) Black And Blue
Old empty bed
Springs all of lead
feel like old *ed
wished I was dead
What did I do
to be so black
and blue?
Even the mouse
ran from my house
They laugh at you
and scorn you too
What did I do
to be so black
and blue?
Im white,
Inside
But that dont help my case
Cause I cant hide
What is in my face
How will it end
Aint got a friend
My only sin
is in my skin
What did I do
to be so black
and blue?
How will it end
Aint got a friend
My only sin
Is in my skin
What did I do
To be so black and blue?

Black & Blue
(coverdale/moody)
You never call me, babe,
Until your man is gone,
I know its you
When I pick up the telephone
You ask me how I am
And if Im doing well,
When all you want from me
Is just to ring your bell
Take your time, we can do some lines,
cos its alright
We can feel fine drinking midnight wine,
cos its alright
Black and blue, black and blue,
I said come over here, baby,
And love me till Im black and blue
You got the key to love
Dressed in your innocent smile,
You know you touched me baby,
So wont you stay for a while
And take your time, we can do some lines,
cos its alright
We can feel fine drinking midnight wine,
cos its alright
Black and blue, black and blue,
I said come over here, baby,
And love me till Im black and blue
Black and blue, black and blue,
I said come over here, baby,
And love me till Im black and blue
Take your time, we can do some lines,
cos its alright
We can feel fine drinking midnight wine,
cos its alright
Black and blue, black and blue,
I said come over here, baby,
And love me till Im black and blue
Black and blue, black and blue,

Ballad Of The People
When will people
Treat each other with respect here on earth?
Why are we so against the black people?
Because they live among white people
We want schools to be separated
But the mayor doesn't want it
By the way who is paying the mayor?
The residents of toronto
And I think that the mayor always forgets that
I believe that if we have separated schools we can end racism
And be able to serve the white and black students better

Implications Of Empty Spaces
some poems
use spaces
of implied emptiness
between the lines
during the reading emptiness
may tug at the subconscious
begging reason intellect rationalists
understanding
to comprehend
messages
in empty spaces

Books up on books
Color in Black, color in white
And also in different colors
Colors were brushed in minds
Respectively be hard
Printed embossed letters
In books of epigraphy
Color in black
On Space of white
Told that is black
Black white and colors
Books up on books
Being closed near by
Dialogues having intercourse
Get soaked colors of minds
Smudged
Scabrous words
Boorish colors
In a content of
In a book
Wearing a strange cover
Not get closed
And be separated
Having filed up afar
At the library of old
On a table
Books up on books
Turn pages
Marking and conflicting
And also comparing
An empty paper
A pen
A hand with five fingers
An artist

White Shadow
Ten coaches roll into the dust
Chrome windows turned to rust
'hand on inside they know they must
Hanging on the green backed words "in god we trust"
No one knew if the spirit died
All wrapped to go like kentucky fried
Tring to read the flight of birds
Low on fuel, getting low on words
And she comes out like a white shadow
She comes out like a white shadow
Each one drawn to empty spaces
Outsiders, borderline cases
It's hard to tell black from white
When you wake up in the middle of the night
Weighed down by the absence of sound
Broken now by the cry of a hound
Looking for movement withing the haze
Light can be deceptive with her rays
And she comes out like a white sadow
And she comes out like a white shadow
She comes out like a white shadow

She's A Woman
She got everything I
need,
She makes me smile, she
makes me bleed.
'Cos she's a woman.
She got the end, she got
the means,
She's in my heart and in
my dreams
An' it makes me cry. I
wanna make her mine.
She ain't black, but, she
got soul,
She ain't young, she ain't
old,
She shine like silver, burn
like gold.
'Cos she's a woman,
she's a woman.
She got everything I
need,
She got comfort, she got
speed.
She's a woman, she's a
woman.
She do me bad, she do
me good,
She got the Gypsy in her
blood.
Cos' she's a woman,
she's a woman.
She ain't black, but, she
got soul,
She ain't young, she ain't
old,
Shine like silver, burn
like gold.
She's a woman, she's a
woman.
She got a fire in her eyes,
I know she sees through
all my lies,
'Cos she's a woman,
she's a woman.
I know I'm the danger
zone
If I leave her all alone.
'Cos she's a woman,
she's a woman.
She ain't black, but, she
got soul,
She ain't young, she ain't
old,
Shine like silver, burn
like gold.
She's a woman, woman,
She's a woman, she's a
woman.
(Solo)
She's a woman, woman,
She's a woman.
She got everything I
need,
She make me smile, she
make me bleed.
She's a woman, she's a
woman.
She got the end, she got
the means,
She, make me shiver in
my jeans.
'Cos she's a woman,
she's a woman.
She ain't black, but, she
got soul,
She ain't young, she ain't
old
She shine like silver, burn
like gold.

Where's My Inspiration?
I can not think.
My mind is at a gridlock.
Where’s my inspiration?
Boredom is highly overwhelming,
But then I think,
“A poem about boredom! ”
Stupid, huh?
But still,
I-can-not- think.
Where’s my inspiration?
I lie on my bed,
Mind empty.
I stare at the ceiling,
At the blank white wall.
Then I stare at my paper,
A blank white canvas.
But then I look closer
It isn’t blank.
It’s filled with lines,
And not just any lines,
BLUE lines.
They aren’t even solid either.
With closer inspection,
They are dotted.
Some even have breaks in them.
Well,
Look at that.
I’ve found my inspiration.
“What is it? ” You may think.
To tell the truth it’s nothing special.
My inspiration came from everywhere around me.
My closed mind soon opened up and spoke to my hand.
It’s funny how the mind works,
Don’t you agree?

Tracks, Trails, Lines and pages
Tracks in forests… of woodland creatures
Trails of shooting stars in summer skies
Tracks of rockets o’er bloody battlefields
Traces of wrinkles round wizened eyes
Lines of wisdom on wrinkled faces
Lines of ants upon the floor
Lines of prose on parchment pages
Lines of carts inside the stores
Pages of life, inside old diarys
Pages dog-eared to mark the places
Pages filled with tales sad and fiery
Pages filled with empty spaces

And the sky bright blue...
And the sky bright blue,
white clouds paint the empty spaces
where the thick wall, delimited
the transition overhead of the fig trees.
Palms begging the white Colour
And all, too quiet,
the breeze savours the summer heat.
I spent sleepless nights,
refreshes skin sweat heavily
wetting between the sheets
that were complaining.
And every morning, at sunrise,
spectacular as a Carriage, the horizon is approaching
carrying the heat pain.

Black and White and Red
Black and White
And Red I see
Demons they do
Torture me
Black and White
And Red all day
The voices are real
Or so they say
Black and White
And Red abound
I'm lost I call
I'm never found
Black and White
And Red flow out
I scream but you
Don't hear me shout
Black and White
And Red so bright
Exit blood and
Enter light
Black and White
And Red of death
Now I breathe
My final breath

Loneliest Time Of The Year
Christmas is the loneliest time of the year
as we remember those whom have passed along
and can never again be near.
An empty stocking on the fireplace
where a filled one should be,
the vacant place under the tree
where presents should be,
The empty space in our hearts
we carry with us all the time
and sadness lines our faces
that should be filled with smiles.
Christmas should be a time of celebration,
but with the empty spaces
there is no cheer here
in the loneliest time of the year.

Empty Pages
(graham russell)
When youre out in front and your life is unsure
What have you got goin for you after every road you turn
Its magic when you tell me and run your fingers through my hair
I dont need your persuasion, cos Im already there
Ive just read it through and I said to myself
Thats not really you, Ill keep myself to myself
Its magic when you tell me, and write the words I want to see
When I reach the last line, its just empty for me
Ive been learning so long, about the things you do
Ive been learning so long about you, about you
(chorus)
Empty pages Ive read you all through
Empty pages filled with spaces I fell in and I fell in
Empty pages Ive read you all through
Empty pages filled with spaces I fell in and I fell in.

As We Go
A dream of white, snow newly laid,
Lines of footprints, all freshly made,
As across the ground we go,
Leaving our footprints in the snow.
A dream of yellow, sun so strong,
Lines of sunshades on sand, belong,
As across the beach we go,
Leaving the shades, in the sun’s glow.
A dream of blue, sky clearly seen,
Lines of vapour, where planes have been,
As across the land we go,
Leaving the trails, that skywards flow.
A dream of black, the night is here,
Lines of stars, which slowly appear,
As across the hours we go,
Leaving the stars, on night’s shadow,
A dream of colours, as dawn awakes,
Lines of raindrops fall as daybreaks,
As across the day we go,
Leaving the drops, on dawn’s rainbow.

The tempest
I saw the Lord God fishing
while we were sailing
on a stormy sea
and gigantic waves were crashing
while He cast His lines in
landing here and there
and later landing almost everywhere.
The lines of God were blue-white
hitting the ocean and some the boat
and while the storm ripped, tossed us
to and fro
that ship almost came apart.
His lines thundered in sizzling the water
where they fell
running up through the pitch black clouds
and no gale force wind, no raging storm sea
could deny His will
while His lines
with thundering flame came in
and I looked up into that howling sky
with rain bashing against me,
wanting to see Him
and heard the sea scream
in its anger, saw the torrent wind
ripping the sails to shreds
and the storm died down instead
with a great rainbow
against the horizon up ahead
and His lines were all gone
and I didn’t see one more
and the boat set a new course
to reach the shore.

I am a man of black and white
I am a man of black and white,
my name is written on the gates of the sky.
i am a man of black and white
my origin is united, yet two apart.
I speak the language of the whites,
but lost in the language of the blacks.
i am a man of black and white,
my resemblance is same with the blacks.
I am a man of black and white,
i was brought up in the land of the whites.
i am a man of black and white,
my home is in the south-east, in the abode of my black dad.
I am a man of black and white,
i love the aspirations of life.
i am a man of black and white,
although two apart, we are united as one.

Love Illuminates
love is surrounded
by a lot of dark empty spaces...
true love illuminates
all hidden dark empty places...
love turns hues of chilling blue
into healing power of ‘I love you’.
