Out Of Greek
The things that Mortals love are mortal too
& swiftly transient fleet before the view
Or if with man a longer while they stay
Man swiftly transient fleets himself away.

On Death
John Keats.
Can death be sleep, when life is but a dream?
and scenes of bliss pass as a phantom by.
The transient pleasures as a vision seem
and yet we think the greatest pain’s to die.
Glosa a tribute
Can death be sleep when life is but a dream.
The final dreamless sleep which grants us rest
.Or better yet part of some greater scheme
which guarantees we all find release.
From misery which seems always to increase
and scenes of bliss pass as a phantom by
on flying feet as if they’re loath to cease
their swift progress momentarily.
They pass as swiftly as a stray sunbeam
which penetrates through cloudy skies of gray.
The transient pleasures as a vision seem
a sign of hope that quickly fades away.
Why is that we suffer constantly
It may well be death sets us free to fly
towards the light where we are meant to be
.And yet we think the greatest pain’s to die.

My Love
Remember this
above all else my love.
Thou need never be shy
with me, my love.
Ask the earth of me
ask the very stars:
almost anything would
I freely give to thee.
Bar that
which righteousness forbids me.
I am yours
whenever you need me.
As fleet and swiftly
as the deer
I come to you
when trouble’s near.
My love.

Fragments
Sometimes a man's wealth is in his fragments:
He goes about searching for riches everyday
and missed it under his door mat.
...will even work two jobs, compromising his health.
Dies before his time so another gains
what he worked for.
A man void of faith and hope he did not pray.
He never knew he would withered;
he never knew he was mere mortal.
Now the scavengers are looming
above his exposed corps;
he will be consumed as an animal;
certainly, he lived as one.
How misleading self can be,
how transient mortals flee.
Without The Savior,
without The Redeemer,
this temporal life is all we see.

A Form Of Purification
the cyclone that hits Myanmar the earthquake that hits china
they come
they all come too swiftly, too decisive of what to do
swiftly sweeping swiftly swallowing
it is the purgation of the earth
a manner of purifying itself
i am not saying there is dirt
or so much rubbish on man's cruelty towards this earth
i am not saying anything at all
my sympathies for those who perished
i am into this silence
a tribute to death
on the other hand, i am thinking of something else
i have hinted you on this
but just the same, let us move on and pick up the trash
sweep the yard, collect the leaves, rebuild the house,
plant more flowers and perhaps not to cut the trees
and spit on our seas again

There Was A Time, I Need Not Name
There was a time, I need not name,
Since it will ne'er forgotten be,
When all our feelings were the same
As still my soul hath been to thee.
And from that hour when first thy tongue
Confess'd a love which equall'd mine,
Though many a grief my heart hath wrung,
Unknown, and thus unfelt, by thine,
None, none hath sunk so deep as this---
To think how all that love hath flown;
Transient as every faithless kiss,
But transient in thy breast alone.
And yet my heart some solace knew,
When late I heard thy lips declare,
In accents once imagined true,
Remembrance of the days that were.
Yes! my adored, yet most unkind!
Though thou wilt never love again,
To me 'tis doubly sweet to find
Remembrance of that love remain.
Yes! 'tis a glorious thought to me,
Nor longer shall my soul repine,
Whate'er thou art or e'er shalt be,
Thou hast been dearly, solely mine.

We think very little of time present; we anticipate the future, as being too slow, and with a view to hasten it onward, we recall the past to stay it as too swiftly gone. We are so thoughtless, that we thus wander through the hours which are not here, regardless only of the moment that is actually our own.

Transients
Cowered, I live unto thee
Prostrate in submission to the Almighty
Time is transient as they walk in envy
For all these I say, is fitted to a “T”
To create a stir, a place within me
Oh, how foolish the world is
With its fumble and tumble
As one hurdles temper amidst the trouble
But what is beauty to a scar
That live in testament of this transient time
Echoing and calling to remember
This hungry lips to shiver
We did it…...

Fly Swiftly Away
Fly swiftly away
From Love's tender snare
For the net there will lay
Deep affections and care
Seducing your emotions
Blinding sound Reason
Swaying your Decisions
With enchanting Persuasion.
Fly swiftly away
Spare yourself pain
When the sweetness shall mellow
And Departure comes again
Fickle promises break
As the Love grows out cold
'Goodbyes' you have to take
A sad heart you will hold.

You Were Once A Girl
i remember you: once a girl whose hands
hold on to mine in school,
my first year of teaching then
in the university and your mother
was there teaching too,
how time must have passed!
now you are a lawyer
pregnant on your second child
and defending a case
of your classmate in my court.
how time must have passed!
swiftly, so swiftly like a bird
falling out from the edge of the horizon
like a gaze falling out from the seams
of our visions
how time must have passed!
yet i feel nothing that i have to worry
there is no one in my house to stay
when my time to leave shall finally come.

Stay still like a heron
Stay still like a heron in an unfavorable situation,
Later act swiftly in appropriate time and get things done
As if the heron waits patiently with one leg,
Picks fast and seizes the fish.

BREEZE OF TIME (for Sr. Vangie Capilitan, OND)
As future swiftly paints its picture,
The past swiftly flashes back,
Future travels so fast embracing pictures of yesterday,
Of treasured time and memories,
Of trials and miseries
Creating her sand art story,
Swiftly yet captures moment of every memory,
A story, the warmth of her love,
Compassion in her Vocation;
A servant of God, fisher of men,
Serving God until then
Walking in the sands of time
Traces His footprints with her feet
Walks her life with the breeze of time
Writes every memory in her unseen diary
Carves her life-long story in the hearts of many
A promise, for her Great Savior
A surrender, to God her Creator.
Happy 39th Anniversary of serving God.
Thank you for guiding us...We love you, Sr. Vangie.
Especially dedicated to Sr. Evangeline C. Capilitan, OND

A Carrier Song
I.
Since you have waned from us,
Fairest of women!
I am a darkened cage
Song cannot hymn in.
My songs have followed you,
Like birds the summer;
Ah! bring them back to me,
Swiftly, dear comer!
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
II.
Where wings to rustle use,
But this poor tarrier -
Searching my spirit's eaves -
Find I for carrier.
Ah! bring them back to me
Swiftly, sweet comer!
Swift, swift, and bring with you
Song's Indian summer!
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
III.
Whereso your angel is,
My angel goeth;
I am left guardianless,
Paradise knoweth!
I have no Heaven left
To weep my wrongs to;
Heaven, when you went from us;
Went with my songs too.
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
IV.
I have no angels left
Now, Sweet, to pray to:
Where you have made your shrine
They are away to.
They have struck Heaven's tent,
And gone to cover you:
Whereso you keep your state
Heaven is pitched over you!
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
V.
She that is Heaven's Queen
Her title borrows,
For that she pitiful
Beareth our sorrows.
So thou, Regina mi,
Spes infirmorum;
With all our grieving crowned
Mater dolorum!
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
VI.
Yet, envious coveter
Of other's grieving!
This lonely longing yet
'Scapeth your reaving.
Cruel! to take from a
Sinner his Heaven!
Think you with contrite smiles
To be forgiven?
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!
VII.
Penitent! give me back
Angels, and Heaven;
Render your stolen self,
And be forgiven!
How frontier Heaven from you?
For my soul prays, Sweet,
Still to your face in Heaven,
Heaven in your face, Sweet!
Seraphim,
Her to hymn,
Might leave their portals;
And at my feet learn
The harping of mortals!

Truth...
Those without imagination wander through life,
They prostrate themselves at the feet of delusion.
They must honour him, praise his name,
They live to serve, a desperate need to be reborn.
Deceitful claws sunk deep into the flesh of man,
Joyless and lifeless ceremonies in his name.
Endless defeat reborn in the belly of all eternity,
Yet I have seen the truth so heed my words.
Birth hurls us swiftly towards death,
Clutch onto every precious moment as you fall.
For each bit of existence is a cherished memory,
Live not for a lie but for the joy of love.
Wrench your soul from the clutches of deceit,
For we are but a minuscule part of life's cycle.
And though birth hurls us swiftly towards death,
In death we shall become reborn of all things...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Incapability
The sunset’s indescribable
but being me I have to try
to see if I am capable.
Although I see no reason why.
I think this time I might succeed.
I’ve tried so many times before
to explain how the colours bleed
into shades I have no name for.
I would love to share my view
but lack the vocabulary.
I cannot describe to you
the transient beauty that I see.
No matter how hard I may try
it’s an impossibility.

Aurobindo 77 Savitri Book 4
An appreciation on Savitri-
Book Four: The Book of Birth and Quest
Canto Three: The Call to the Quest
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's
'A single lamp lit in perfection's house,
A bright pure image in a priestless shrine,
Midst those encircling lives her spirit dwelt,
Apart in herself until her hour of fate.'
'Away from the terrestrial murmur turned
Where transient calls and answers mix their flood,
King Aswapati listened through the ray
To other sounds than meet the sense-formed ear.'
'A word that leaped from some far sky of thought,
Admitted by the cowled receiving scribe
Traversed the echoing passages of his brain
And left its stamp on the recording cells.'
'O Force-compelled, ...Line 35 to
...... too few in mortal forms.' Line108
What a preaching! to uplift one
From mortal mind to immortal conscience! ...
What a preaching! to change one
From this 'changeless littleness'to the Vast
With countless salutations I bow to Thee Guru!
'The Voice withdrew into its hidden skies.
But like a shining answer from the gods
Approached through sun-bright spaces Savitri.'
'There came the gift of a revealing hour: '
'He saw through depths that reinterpret all, '
'Marvelling at life and earth they saw truths far.'
'A deathless meaning filled her mortal limbs; '
'Transparent grown the ephemeral living dress
Bared the expressive deity to his view.'
'Annulled were the transient values of the mind,
The body's sense renounced its earthly look; '.....
............My consciousness this moment,
O'Guru, I'm in awe....in invincible heights
Ineffable Thee embellishing poetic creation
My inquisitive apprehension, erring Thee may opine
May thereso, let Savitri in my self arise
Aroused thereso be knowledge and fortune

Immutability
Although things change they stay the same.
What changes is our point of view
beneath the sun theres nothing new
Although things change they stay the same.
We only see part of the game.
Circumstances limit our view
we tend to see what we want to.
Although things change they stay the same.
There is no need for praise or blame.
From time to time we must review
the way we see things: So we do,
although things change they stay the same.
Although things change they stay the same.
What changes is our point of view
beneath the sun there’s nothing new.
Although things change they stay the same
