The Temporary The All

CHANGE and chancefulness in my flowering youthtime,
Set me sun by sun near to one unchosen;
Wrought us fellowly, and despite divergence,
Friends interblent us.

'Cherish him can I while the true one forthcome-
Come the rich fulfiller of my prevision;
Life is roomy yet, and the odds unbounded.'
So self-communed I.

Thwart my wistful way did a damsel saunter,
Fair not fairest, good not best of her feather;
'Maiden meet,' held I, 'till arise my forefelt
Wonder of women.'

Long a visioned hermitage deep desiring,
Tenements uncouth I was fain to house in;
'Let such lodging be for a breath-while,' thought I,
'Soon a more seemly.

'Then, high handiwork will I make my life-deed,
Truth and Light outshow; but the ripe time pending,
Intermissive aim at the thing sufficeth.'
Thus I… But lo, me!

Mistress, friend, place, aims to be bettered straightway,
Bettered not has Fate or my hand's achieving
Sole the showance those of my onward earth-track-
Never transcended!

Emerson

MISFORTUNE to have lived not knowing thee!
’T were not high living, nor to noblest end,
Who, dwelling near, learned not sincerity,
Rich friendship’s ornament that still doth lend
To life its consequence and propriety.
Thy fellowship was my culture, noble friend:
By the hand thou took’st me, and did’st condescend
To bring me straightway into thy fair guild;
And life-long hath it been high compliment
By that to have been known, and thy friend styled,
Given to rare thought and to good learning bent;
Whilst in my straits an angel on me smiled.
Permit me, then, thus honored, still to be
A scholar in thy university.

OVER the meadows, and down the stream,

And through the garden-walks straying,
He plucks the flowers that fairest seem;

His throbbing heart brooks no delaying.
His maiden then comes--oh, what ecstasy!
Thy flowers thou giv'st for one glance of her eye!

The gard'ner next door o'er the hedge sees the youth:
"I'm not such a fool as that, in good truth;
My pleasure is ever to cherish each flower,
And see that no birds my fruit e'er devour.
But when 'tis ripe, your money, good neighbour!
'Twas not for nothing I took all this labour!"
And such, methinks, are the author-tribe.

The one his pleasures around him strews,

That his friends, the public, may reap, if they choose;
The other would fain make them all subscribe.

What is a Friend?

True friends will never let each other down
True friends will tell each other when they are right or wrong
True friends listen to their problems without casting judgment
True friends are never afraid to tell you like it is

A true friend knows when to say no
A true friend will never flop you
A true friend will be supportive of all you do
A true friend will be there to dry your weeping eyes

A true friend will lend a shoulder for you to cry on
A true friend cares how you are doing
A true friend cares about your day-to-day life
A true friend always calls and checks up on you

A true friend gives of himself/herself without asking for anything in return
A true friend would not lend you money but give you whatever they can
A true friend may argue, fuss, and fight with you but will always be there for you
A true friend forgives you for your shortcomings

A true friend will come to your aid no matter what time of day it is
A true friend doesn’t wait to hear from you to make the first call
A true friend just calls to chitchat with you
A true friend is like a Godsend in times of perils

A true friend is always welcoming
A true would give you the coat off their backs
A true friend knows enough is enough
A true friend will be by your side when you need them the most

A true friend will run an intercept or blockage for you
True friends will CYA for each other
True friends knows that this world wasn’t promised to us
True friends make the best of a bad situation

True friends keeps each others secretes
True friends keeps no secretes from one another
True friends share each other’s lives
A true friend is forever

Are you a true friend?
Ask yourself that question
Can you be a true friend?
Do you deserve a good friend?

There are no goodbyes in life, just hellos

Hello friend

All Friendships Do Not End Well

The number of friends you have in your life does seem all up to you
And that all friendships do not end well happens to be true
And often at the end of a friendship an enemy is made
And bitterness sets in when by your friend you've been betrayed,
Your friend for life the good and the hard times with you will share
Though friends for life are and have always been rare
Feel lucky if you have one good friend in the town
One who will stand by you when you are feeling down
You know who your friend is when of support you are in need
For a friend at such a time is a true friend indeed
The great gift of true friendship we ought to celebrate
For your true friend more than a friend to you is a soul mate
It is not an uncommon thing to hear one say
The one I thought was my friend my trust did betray.

Long Ago

I loved a maiden, long ago,
She held within her hand my fate;
And in the ruddy sunset glow
We lingered at the garden gate.

The splendor of the western skies
Lay in a halo on her hair.
I gazed with worship in her eyes,
And deemed her true and knew her fair.

'Good night,' I said, and turned away;
She held me with her subtle smile.
I saw her red lips whisper 'stay,'
And so I lingered yet awhile.

'I love you, love you, sweet!' I said,
She laughed, and whispered, 'I love you.'
I kissed her small mouth, ripe and red,
And knew her fair, and deemed her true.

'Twas very, very long ago,
And I was young, and so was she;
My faith as love was strong, for oh!
The maid was all the world to me.

But as the sunset died away
And left the heavens cold and blue,
So died my dream of love one day.
The maid was only fair,
not
true.

The Thought

Into the skies, one summer's day,
I sent a little Thought away;
Up to where, in the blue round,
The sun sat shining without sound.

Then my Thought came back to me.—
Little Thought, what did you see
In the regions whence you come?
And when I spoke, my Thought was dumb.

But she breathed of what was there,
In the pure bright upper air;
And, because my Thought so shone,
I knew she had been shone upon.

Next, by night a Thought I sent
Up into the firmament;
When the eager stars were out,
And the still moon shone about.

And my Thought went past the moon
In between the stars, but soon
Held her breath and durst not stir,
For the fear that covered her;
Then she thought, in this demur:

'Dare I look beneath the shade,
Into where the worlds are made;
Where the suns and stars are wrought?
Shall I meet another Thought?

'Will that other Thought have wings?
Shall I meet strange, heavenly things?
Thought of Thoughts, and Light of Lights,
Breath of Breaths, and Night of Nights?'

Then my Thought began to hark
In the illuminated dark,
Till the silence, over, under,
Made her heart beat more than thunder.

And my Thought, came trembling back,
But with something on her track,
And with something at her side;
Nor till she has lived and died,
Lived and died, and lived again,
Will that awful thing seem plain.

Till The Right Man Comes Along

Its time to face the music
Tonight I came to use it
You never know
Who youre gonna meet in here
I thought Id never find it
The dark and handsome kind
I used to dream of
And now youre standing there
Though youre looking good to me
It doesnt mean that you can do as you please
No no no no
Chorus
Oh baby youre the best thing in my life
But a one track mind is what you got
Oh baby youre the best bet here tonight
And a one track mind is worth a lot
Ive got no good reason to believe well last for long
But thats good enough for me till the right man comes along
Ive waited for a lover
The kind wholl stay forever
You look to me
Like the sort of man I need
Its not the best scenario
But now Ive found you Im letting you go
Chorus
Oh baby youre the best thing in my life
But a one track mind is what you got
Oh baby youre the best bet here tonight
And a one track mind is worth a lot
For the perfect guy maybe I should be holding on
And with you I could till the right man
Till the right man comes along

Eternity Is Looming

Many people just can't see, the looming Truth of Eternity,
An endless time ahead for all, yes indeed, for every soul,
Every soul upon this earth, is here today, by natural birth,
Here for a time all will die; these are truths you can't deny.

Many don't give a thought, to what choices have wrought,
This, in the light of eternity, or even what life after may be;
Some have bought the lie, live merry for tomorrow we die,
Giving after life not a thought, as God's Truth isn't sought.

Only one life's decreed by God, for beings on earth's sod,
As He Decrees our last breath, the time that we see death,
This encounter will then lead, to Judgment, for all decreed,
Appointed to all by our Creator, Who is also man's Savior.

Time on earth God gives us, so we may seek Christ Jesus,
Who paid the judgment for all, charged on us from the fall,
Reconciling God with men, when in Christ we're born again,
Removing the sting of death, while giving us eternal breath.

You may not believe this friend, as all life on earth will end,
Our soul lives on eternally, but in darkness without Calvary,
Which, gave us Eternal Life, through the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Come to Him before the end; eternity with Him you'll spend.

Careers

I knew three sisters,--all were sweet;
Wishful to wed was I,
And wondered which would mostly meet
The matrimonial tie.
I asked the first what fate would she
Wish joy of life to bring to her.
She answered: 'I would like to be
A concert singer.'

I asked the second, for my mind
Was set on nuptial noosing,
Unto what lot was she inclined
If she could have the choosing?
Said she: 'For woman I can see
No fortune finer,
Than to go in for Art and be
A dress designer.'

With heavy heart I asked the third
What was her life ambition;
A maiden she in look and word
Of modest disposition.
'Alas, I dearly wish,' said she,
'My aims were deeper:
My highest hope it is to be
A good house-keeper.'

Which did I choose? Look at my home,--
The answer's there;
As neat and sweet as honeycomb,
With children fair.
And so it humbly seems to me,
In common life,
A woman's glory is to be
A good house-wife.

Early Works - Our Love (The Ending) Part 3

The climax I fear is close
the end will proceed today
even though I am prepared
I am unconsciously not.
Even though they say
for every ending, there is a beginning
who is to over sight this saying.
Even though the end is near
who can tell what will happen tomorrow
unless one can see the future
one cannot predict it
for tomorrow lies beyond
the boundaries of our senses.

No one can supersede the lord
in the prediction of tomorrow,
though in ways,
we try to change
the course of time,
but we can never change
the hand of fate.
Fate may seem harsh
in the judgements it may give,
but by no force living today can we change it.
Thus, fate has my life and hers
tucked within the palms of its hands.

No matter which road
it chooses to take me
I have no say what so ever.
What I know today
tomorrow might change that,
though I can say
the end of our love
will proceed with tomorrow.
The actions of love
can never be read;
though our spheres are different socially,
we may continue as friends,
for friends unlike love never die
but forge onward as friends.
So onward we forge as friends
never forgetting the love
if fate hadn’t played the cards
we might have had.

I Love My Life

Every day I hear the news
Seems like people worship pain
All your oprahs and donahues
They just cant explain
As you reap you shall sow
I looked high I looked low
Now I know that I love my life
I love my life
I said me and my creator
We got a funny love thing
Its happenin now and not later
Yeah, thats why I sing
First came thought then came deed
I got caught now Im freed
All I need is to love my life
I love my life
Time, the topic of the sermon tonight is time
Time, the thief of hope
Time, the ameliorator of all our endeavors
What will we do with time off our backs?
We would make this world a perfect place
We would make our lives a perfect thing, if not for time
But I tell you now, time is an illusion
Time is an illusion, time is not real
Time is the dividing line between what is true and what is not true
Between what is real and what is not real
Between what is so and what is not so
But who, I said who, who stands for time?
Who stands at the threshold of time?
Who decides what is true and what is not true?
We do, you and i
You and I decide what is true and what is not true
What shall be our guiding light?
Happiness, I say happiness
But in a world, I see people in a world of misery
I see a world full of sorrow
Why should we be happy?
Tell me why should we be happy?
We need a message from above
Look over there, look over here
I can see it, there is beauty in the world

Life And Song.

'If life were caught by a clarionet,
And a wild heart, throbbing in the reed,
Should thrill its joy and trill its fret,
And utter its heart in every deed,

'Then would this breathing clarionet
Type what the poet fain would be;
For none o' the singers ever yet
Has wholly lived his minstrelsy,

'Or clearly sung his true, true thought,
Or utterly bodied forth his life,
Or out of life and song has wrought
The perfect one of man and wife;

'Or lived and sung, that Life and Song
Might each express the other's all,
Careless if life or art were long
Since both were one, to stand or fall:

'So that the wonder struck the crowd,
Who shouted it about the land:
`His song was only living aloud,
His work, a singing with his hand!''

Betrayal

There is this boy I know
Who is my whole entire world.
I am truly lucky
To be his own very special girl.

He doesn't know how much
He means to me;
More than the sky,
More than the sea,
More than the air,
We so ungratefully breathe.
He doesn't know
When he's not there,
The life around me
Becomes completely bare.
Everything else just turns to gray.
No wonder every day is just okay.

Now yet another comes along,
Why must everything always go wrong?
Every day it seems I fight,
For me to be what he thinks at night.
Another girl to take him from me.
There is no way that could possibly be.
I love him more than anyone else ever could.
Who would get in the way of that?
She would...

Our anniversary passed,
With nothing good to last.
I knew she liked you,
But did you know, too?

She kept on flirting,
Inside I was hurting,
Because I knew it must be true.
She really, truly likes you.

I wish she wouldn't care
Not even notice you're there.
Because now I know
I cannot ever let you go.

I've always trusted you
That everything you said was true
Just not her, wouldn't even try.
Has everything she said been a lie?

I knew it all along.
Did I ever do anything wrong?
I know she's your friend
But anything else needs to end.

Just a friend to you,
And that may be true,
But to her something more.
Please let her walk out the door.

I tried to be nice,
Say you could be friends,
For her, that would not suffice.
So now, I want it to end.

It's gone way too far
To go on any longer.
If you stay with her,
Your relationship will just get stronger.

Just let her go!
Do you want her or me?
If you say her
Then let me be.

If you say me
Then let her fall!
Don't care anymore.
I was right, after all.

I should be mad at you
Because you led her on,
Is it possible you could be true?
If not, before long I'll be gone.

Is it too good to be true?
Could you really be mine?
I guess not, though,
Because this is the second time.

Why do you do this to me?
Why do you even care?
Why did you pretend,
You would always be there?

You were my friend.
I trusted you.
I thought you were different.
I thought you were true.

I guess I was mistaken.
I guess I was wrong.
Last thing I have to say,
Is I knew all along.

You liked him,
You used me,
To get even closer,
How stupid could you be?

There'll be no apologies,
Or 'Wait that isn't fair.'
Life isn't fair.
And guess what?
I don't care.

God-Forgotten

I towered far, and lo! I stood within
   The presence of the Lord Most High,
Sent thither by the sons of earth, to win
   Some answer to their cry.

   --"The Earth, say'st thou? The Human race?
   By Me created? Sad its lot?
Nay: I have no remembrance of such place:
   Such world I fashioned not." -

   --"O Lord, forgive me when I say
   Thou spak'st the word, and mad'st it all." -
"The Earth of men--let me bethink me . . . Yea!
   I dimly do recall

   "Some tiny sphere I built long back
   (Mid millions of such shapes of mine)
So named . . . It perished, surely--not a wrack
   Remaining, or a sign?

   "It lost my interest from the first,
   My aims therefor succeeding ill;
Haply it died of doing as it durst?" -
   "Lord, it existeth still." -

   "Dark, then, its life! For not a cry
   Of aught it bears do I now hear;
Of its own act the threads were snapt whereby
   Its plaints had reached mine ear.

   "It used to ask for gifts of good,
   Till came its severance self-entailed,
When sudden silence on that side ensued,
   And has till now prevailed.

   "All other orbs have kept in touch;
   Their voicings reach me speedily:
Thy people took upon them overmuch
   In sundering them from me!

   "And it is strange--though sad enough -
   Earth's race should think that one whose call
Frames, daily, shining spheres of flawless stuff
   Must heed their tainted ball! . . .

   "But say'st thou 'tis by pangs distraught,
   And strife, and silent suffering? -
Deep grieved am I that injury should be wrought
   Even on so poor a thing!

   "Thou should'st have learnt that Not to Mend
   For Me could mean but Not to Know:
Hence, Messengers! and straightway put an end
   To what men undergo." . . .

   Homing at dawn, I thought to see
   One of the Messengers standing by.
- Oh, childish thought! . . . Yet oft it comes to me
   When trouble hovers nigh.

The Inner Voice - Conscience

Laws on earth can be made, unmade;
Laws can be bettered or worsened by change;
Laws may be just or unjust and never perfect;
Laws can be changed for comfort and convenience.

Laws may change from time to time;
Laws cannot reflect truth always;
Laws depend on the constituent makers;
Laws can never be ideal for all times!

But the inner Voice -the Conscience is static;
It always speaks the truth irrevocably;
It is not transmutable anytime;
It can never lie ever even by chance.

The Inner Voice scores over laws always;
One's conscience always tells what is right;
Freedom of man's conscience is paramount;
Laws to stifle the Inner Voice are simply futile!

Laws are needed but must be just and fair;
Laws aren't needed to fetter the conscience;
Laws are man-made and transmutable;
Conscience is God-given, remaining the same in everyone!

Obey the laws when they are fair and just;
Heed to your Conscience, God's law-maker within!

When you know ‘yourself'…. You not there to know it!

How do you know, you know yourself!

Through the spectacles of the audience
Those words not from your guts
The heresies not from your rationale…
And you are defined!
Interjections that stun…

What do you say, you are?
Thought within?
What you caught? Yourself?
Which self?
Every moment of introspection
Sprouts a new You. Then…
What do you say, you are?

Are you the self that changes?
Or are you the Change between the selves?
Since, the Change seems the sole permanence;
The Change that keeps you moving -
Movement is your nature,
That's your life - you are, then, the Change!
The Change that leads you to the Unchanging,
At that Unchanging you cease to change.
And be the Unchanging yourself.

You are thus the Change…
…till you cease to change
And become the Unchanging One!

When you know yourself…
You will not be here to know it.
The moment you know, you cease to live,
Since, you live only to discover yourself…

Life and Change be the things
Always by your side
Ask them, who you are at that moment…
Lest you must be the life
You must be the Change.

To know the Absolute you -
Imperative it is to know and experience
The every momentous you,
Good or bad, both are you -
Any ‘momentous you' if left undiscovered,
Delay the change to make you Unchanging…
Give away yourself…
Not to the ‘he' that observes you
To the Change that makes you meet your own kind
To the life that guides the change towards your varied selves
Deluded you must not get
By the scrutinizing eyes, words or thoughts
Guiding light is within you…
Hold on to it and know yourself…

The moment one claims to have known ‘his'self
Be sure ‘he' is yet not known to ‘him'self.
You cannot live to tell who you are,
That's being the very purpose of life.
Once you become what you ought to
You become no'body' in the world of ‘bodies.'

Thus, when you know yourself…. You not there to know it!

My Friend

MY Friend wears a cheerful smile of his own,
And a musical tongue has he;
We sit and look in each other's face,
And are very good company.
A heart he has, full warm and red
As ever a heart I see;
And as long as I keep true to him,
Why, he'll keep true to me.

When the wind blows high and the snow falls fast
And we hear the wassailers' roar--
My Friend and I, with a right good-will
We bolt the chamber door:
I smile at him and he smiles at me
In a dreamy calm profound,
Till his heart leaps up in the midst of him
With a comfortable sound.

His warm breath kisses my thin gray hair
And reddens my ashen cheeks;
He knows me better than you all know,
Though never a word he speaks:--
Knows me as well as some had known
Were things--not as things be.
But hey, what matters? my Friend and I
Are capital company.

At dead of night, when the house is still,
He opens his pictures fair;
Faces that are, that used to be,
And faces that never were:
My wife sits sewing beside my hearth,
My little ones frolic wild,
Though--Lilian's married these twenty years,
And I never had a child.

But hey, what matters? When those who laugh
May weep to-morrow, and they
Who weep be as those that wept not--all
Their tears long wiped away.
I shall burn out, like you, my Friend,
With a bright warm heart and bold,
That flickers up to the last--then drops
Into quiet ashes cold.

And when you flicker on me, old Friend,
In the old man's elbow-chair,
Or--something easier still, where we
Lie down, to arise up fair
And young, and happy--why then, my Friend,
Should other friends ask of me,
Tell them I lived and loved and died
In the best of all company.

Winter

The sun was overwhelmed by woe,
For reasons that were unknown,
Soon all else was saddened also,
Except one with a heart of stone,
All manners of things in time froze,
Leaving a cold maiden alone,
No other life would she have chose,
For twas the only one she knows,
The chill might have spawned from a touch,
One that had been made by a witch,
Or one who hadn't felt love much,
It doesn't really matter which,
Once you've what was once out of reach,
Even with little you are rich,
The maiden gained peace few could breach,
While to none having to beseech,

The world was the maiden's to claim,
And she took it without delay,
Things would remain how they became,
As long as she could have her way,
The maiden sang in her fine range,
And wrote sonnets throughout the day,
As she loved how the world was strange,
But soon there was to be a change,
The cold weather started to calm,
As the sun broke free from its gloom,
The world gained some of its old charm,
So tempting life to again bloom,
The maiden thought it a bad dream,
She wanted the cold to resume,
After having thought up a scheme,
She sought to lessen the sun's gleam,

After the right texts were read,
The maiden gained powers that few had,
Some invocations were then said,
So that the world became snow clad,
Life was unable to pervade,
No longer was the maiden sad,
As the sun's might began to fade,
Due to the changes made,
The sun's light was reflected back,
To make sure the world remained dark,
The sun made a counter attack,
But it deserves little remark,
Things looked to be ever more bleak,
While the maiden was free to lark,
Because of all that she did wreak,
The sun became depressed and weak,

The might of the chill was upheld,
Precisely as had been fabled,
Its cruel grip was unparalleled,
There was slim chance hope would be herald,
None could make the maiden less cold,
And she wouldn't bow till humbled,
But that event was not foretold,
And so that no one would behold,
The frozen landscape would glisten,
So that beauty would be abound,
Tears and smiles form in unison,
To help prevent one feeling down,
The maiden seemed content alone,
She would dance and never frown,
Change came while seeds of time were sown,
For she'd spent too long on her own,

The maiden's life had a defect,
For there was one thing she lacked,
She was haunted as an effect,
With another she craved contact,
Due to what a thirst can inflict,
The maiden was compelled to act,
She had yearnings like an addict,
For a love would make her perfect,
The maiden's quest started with zeal,
As she was hopeful she'd succeed,
But it proved to be an ordeal,
It was a gruelling task indeed,
The maiden yielded to defeat,
And then tried to forget her need,
Since there wasn't a love to meet,
For life is sometimes bittersweet,

Touching herself till comforted,
Killed the maiden's feelings within,
But she regretted what she did,
For it proved to be her ruin,
The maiden soon felt discomfort,
And froze due to touching her skin,
It was a mistake she would admit,
For on her her life in time quit,
The world was the maiden's no more,
And within it little did stir,
Since it was so harsh and raw,
And change seemed doubtful to occur,
The maiden stayed locked in despair,
All because love weren't meant for her,
So have a heart with which to care,
To shake a life that's hard to bear.

Time

Friend, as the moments tick away, we can see the end of another day,
And as time continues marching on, soon we see another year is gone.
Friend, time for no one will stand still, but it continues on by God’s will.
And time each day does not change, for every man it stays the same.
All time by God has one set pace, for every man in this human race.

The only thing that varies friend, is your own beginning and your end,
That single day of your own birth, the very day you arrived on earth.
And the day that you shall depart, from this place you had your start.
At that point again time will be, the same for all throughout eternity.
The length of time you will endure, is the time will call forevermore.

Once in eternity you have a start, you will find that you won’t depart.
Throughout eternity there is no end, this truth is fact for all my friend.
The length of the coming eternity, is the end of any and all similarity.
There is one of two places friend, where in eternity you shall spend.
For when all men from earth depart, they leave with a different heart.

Your time on the earth can not be, compared at all with your eternity.
For when your time on earth is done, you’ll see darkness or The Son.
Friend, Hell is that special place, so men don’t have to see God’s face.
Since the darkness was their delight, God made for them eternal night.
If Christ has saved you from the night, you will enter His Eternal Light.

For those who do believe in Christ, for them, God offers Eternal Life.
All other men upon their last breath, shall descend into eternal death.
For unbelievers there is no return, from the fire that will eternally burn.
In the time you have left on earth, you need to experience a new birth.
For when your time does pass away, where you go you will go to stay.
