Insecurity 'twas my banner
In shambles i wore it so well
Knocked down and trodded upon
I reached the bowel's of hell

No self esteem could ever save me
From bitter words and lies
Sticking me with sharp daggar's
Cutting me with their slicing eyes

Defenceless i lay grieving
Upon my mourning bed
Knowing full well i'd been defeated
From viscious word that were said

Telling me i would never be much
Maybe just an ignorant whore
They continued to belittle my psyche
'Til i couldn't take anymore

I ran for an opening i saw gleaming
A tunnel with most blinding light
Running very fast towards it
I found my Savior that night

Learning Curve

Running, running
myself ragged.
Sinking deeper
and steeper
into the dark.
No light shines
upon my face,
now sunken
and skeleton
while I yearn
for God’s grace.
Leaving behind
all that I’ve known
for a chance to
live a new life
apart from my own.
Gone to the ends
of this lonesome earth
flying and trying,
but always crying
out for the life
that I once knew.
Blinding and binding,
I attach myself to
those who can’t love
nor love me true.
Here in shadow
comes the night,
terrible and bitter,
not wholesome and bright.
Searching and hoping
for some way out,
I couldn’t say what
I wanted to get out.
Take if from me,
someone who’s tried
to live my life
but found I’d died,
to live life fully
means to live
a full life.

I watch you as you're sleeping

What Drives You To The End

tears of pain and sorrow continue to fall for what seems forever
no hope of light or happiness can be seen in the distance
only the endless cutting into the heart till it is split open
little possibility of removing the cold sharp knife that cuts on
then light starts forming cracks in the endless tunnel walls
only enough light to leak hope into the dark soul but
not enough to light the tunnel so that it's possible for sight
more and more light leaks into the soal and the pain disapates
warmth and happines fills the body and soal till nothing else matters
then the shadows sneak up while there is nothing blocking it anymore
evil and darkness surrounds the light and blocks it from the sole
the light withdraws back into the cracks and leaves only darkness
darkness that fills the soal and rips up all that is good and continues
the endless dripping pain the pain that reveals that the dark tunnel will
continue on forever a choice is made and the knife is thrust deeper till
all is still and the bleeding stops all together all of it stops forever

there is a mountain of words
an ocean of words
a continent of words

there is a rain of words
a flood of words
a river of words and true to their being words

they also disintegrate as syllables
on the other hand some form the clauses
conditions and terms
some make sentences and paragraphs

a world of words full of words
i am not a word and i am buried in a mountain of words
a sea of words i drown
a continent of words i am condemned to walk all the days of my life

too may words my ears do not listen anymore.
my eyes do not like to read anymore.

i like something not having to do with words.
what about a touch? what about a picture?
what about a kiss?

why don't people just make love without saying a word?
let us start touching the hearts of people
to avoid this war of words that lead us to our own perdition.

A cold bed

That feeling of cold insecurity
now slept on, feels even more sharp
in the morning's light.

She holds her hand to her head,
her eyes deep and dark, worried.
Her face serious.

The sheets are her only protection
from a hostile world and she delays
getting up.

She ponders, worries and frets,
but cannot put a stopper in her troubles,
they're too large

The sound of an opening letterbox
is like nails across a blackboard
or the squeak of chalk

and as she lies there, pale faced, awake,
the final demand hits the hall floor
like the falling of the guillotine.

Empty Now

you are telling me that what i did was so hurting
it was you who was bombarding me with a hundred words
per minute
as i was
sitting on the rocking chair facing the sea where this time the wind keeps on
rushing
on my
face
i assure you i was listening to every word you are saying because i have told you once and i am telling you again and again i love you and i will always love you till
the end
of time
and you still keep bombarding me with all those words that you were hurt by my telling you i love you i love you i love you yet there is something untrue
you did
not kiss
me yes
you for
got the
kiss
the real reason why you said i love you is because i asked you to tell me and to repeat the words that i missed hearing after ten years of this marriage
you are
cruel
in the
silence
in between
the words
demanded.

The Man Who Gets Back On His Horse

A man who gets on the horse just to fall off is a great man indeed.
Not ashamed of what he yet does not know.
Ignorance can be overcome if we stop using such words as dumb.
For to belittle someone does very little for their self esteem.
You can speak the truth and tact still may be redeemed.
The proper approach is everything.
A way to explain without in some way offending their name.
Teachers know the technique all to well.
We must not dwell on those who still get angry.
Some no matter what you do can not be reached.
The child becomes the man.
And sometimes the environment damns them from the very beginning.

Wriggles from his captors arms
Mr speaker gets the word and
