Night and Day

Night is bleak and my bed is warm.
Dark is dismal and my home is safe.
Today was torture and happily, I live alone.
The day has ended and I yawn.
The day has ended, but I am holding on.
Today everything went wrong- as it did
Yesterday and the day before.
Nights are dismal and my bed is inviting.
The day is over- I am tired.
I am tired but am trying to keep my eyes open.
I am fighting sleep although
Today was hell on earth.
I can hear voices inside my head saying
“Tomorrow is another day.”
Nighttime is dreary and today was
A fight to stay alive.
Today is over, and I yawn and keep my eyes open.
If tomorrow is another day and
Night is bleak, dark and relentless-
What am I holding onto?
No matter how dismal is the night and

Watching the stars on primrose hill
The moon is high and the city is still
I came here to escape the chill

Corndog

i was all alone on a saturday night
and the funny thing is, we didn't even have a fight
i stayed up all night cryin'
and i slept all day, and missed the game
inside i think i'm dyin'
i just can't figure out how she slipped away
i was out all night monday in dallas
and the strangest thing is, i can't remember a thing
i was drunk and drinkin'
and i woke up in my best friend's car
my friends say i've gone crazy
i still need to find out how she slipped away
i've no idea what i did
she just told me,
"have someone check your head"
let me ask you, do you think that i was wrong?
trying too hard? maybe i came on too strong

i was at a club real late last tuesday
and the weirdest thing is, i can't remember her name

Sorrows

My sorrows consumes me,
There won’t be a tomorrow,
There won’t be a light that shines above me,
There won’t be me anymore,
The way I feel,
The hate I feel,
My heart is breaking,
Its aching,
I am crying for this pain to end,
Today is no ordinary day for me,
Today’s the day I feel more drifting apart from this world,
My sorrows won’t go away,
My deep thoughts in my head leaves me laying dead,
I didn’t mean to lead this pain on and on again,
Look at me now,
I am falling apart,
Apart into million pieces,
This sorrow keeps on going into my thoughts,
This heart break makes me wanna cry over and over again,

Paradise / The Spell

I feel you trying,
though in my heart I know you're lying.
And though your love for me is dying,
I see you crying.
It's the pain of your secret heart
bringing you to tears, filling you with fears
for your mind and for your soul.
I touch you softly now,
born on by hope until the end, somehow.
I am a man and I must keep my vows,
I must go on.
But the wall of your secret heart
keeps my distance clear, helps my footsteps fall
back in line inside my mind.
What's the use? You turned me loose
and left me here to cry.
Where's the love we talked about?
Where's my sunny sky?
Secret hearts and sorry tales
will never help love grow.
Spread your wings my darkened soul,
