Bathtime Shared.

Fenola watched
as Eileen bathed.
She took in
the hand

moving
the lathered sponge
over the contours
of the body,

moving between tits
like some
venture ship of old,
moving down

the belly,
beneath the soapy water
to the pleasure dome,
then out again

around the neck
and under chin,
then whole body
over once again.

She knew that body well,
each inch of flesh,
each orifice,
each smell,

each loving touch.
Even the thought
pleased her
overmuch.

Eileen looked over
where Fenola sat,
on stool,
in bathrobe,

with feet
on mat.
Come on in,
she said,

room enough for two,
you rub my back,
I'll rub yours
and other places too.

Fenola thought awhile,
took in her eyes
that gazed,
the smile

that spread,
the memory
of the afternoon
in bed,

the positions held
and played,
the sex ensuing.
Eileen pointed

to the soapy bath,
come in,
she said
with sexy laugh.

Fenola stood up
from the stool,
disrobed,
set it aside,

stepped in the bath
and sat down,
the water engulfing.
Somewhere

from the other room,
Ravel played
from hifi speakers,
Bolero

or some such piece,
the sound touching
the bathroom walls
with steam and scent.

The girls rubbed
and scrubbed
and laughed
in soapy water,

each one
like a siren
of the sea
or Neptune's daughter.

'I solemnly agree

'You mean the stuff you just throw in the closet'? she says

letting her eyes gently roll.

'I come up behind as you do the dishes, ' I say

The Dream I Still Remember

I went to a flower shop
to buy
A red rose for Eileen.
The seller looked at me
And at the red rose, and
Said:
“I think this rose is for Eileen”
And in a second,
He vanished from his shop.
I saw him then
On the other side of the street
Standing on his knees
With the red rose
In his hand
Asking Eileen for same something
I have been preparing myself to say
For five years.

Tongue Bath

Yeah, (ohhh), we got the hood rats in the house right
(Would you like a tongue bath babe)
They say they like tongue bath (from the back)
So, uh, we went and got Methron
But of course, it's the Ying-Yang Twins
Let me see you freak your body
I won't stop until you get enough
Anyway you want it, I'm with it
I just wanna get up in it
(You want a tongue bath, you need a tongue bath)
Let me see you freak your body
I won't stop until you get enough
A tongue bath, from the back
Oh yes, that's the way I like it
(You want a tongue bath, you need a tongue bath)
Forget about that Summer we stretched straight thuggin it up
In the tongue bath world we was loving it up
I've been told by the eye we were holding each other
To the room, sexual, of the Isley Brothers
Sippin' Alazez and Hennessee, straight thug passion
Licking nipples, got you gigglin', so you started to laugh
And now it's getting so erotic baby
All of a sudden so I'm kissing on your body baby
Admit it babb
See baby a tongue bath is what I like
Lick me up, lick me down, curve my appetite
Let me open up my legs, show me what you got
The way you licking on my body's got me really hot
And I'm loving the way you lick me though
Do it little daddy, let your tongue take control
You got me shaking like hell when you're licking my toes
From the top to the bottom, make your tongue roll
Let me see you freak your body
I won't stop until you get enough
Anyway you want it, I'm with it
I just wanna get up in it
(You want a tongue bath, you need a tongue bath)
Let me see you freak your body
I won't stop until you get enough
A tongue bath, from the back
Oh yes, that'

That Body Of Water Is Mine

That body of water is mine now
Because God gave it to me
So that I could swim
In that body of water
But he said that I am not allowed
To let the boats in
The body of water
Because that would pollute the water
And he wants to have
That body of water protected
And I told God that I was going to do that
By declaring that body of water
A natural habitat for marine life
God had answered me back by saying
That would be a wonderful Idea
And I was pleased by his answer

Beautiful Mind

A beautiful mind or a beautiful body
I know which one Im gonad end upon
You say you will but you never promised thoughts
A smile and a hand mix like water with sand
As far as youre concerned
A road and a sign I know which one catches my eyes
And i, thought I heard it for a while
Then it all came to me
Sometimes I just dont know I believe in
Dont you wanna know when I suffer
It doesnt show
A smile and a hand mix like water with sand dont you know?
I was thinking about moving back home
I dont really need to live here
No no I didnt I could Im sure I would if I knew that
I didnt I could Im sure I would if I knew that
A smile and a hand mix like water with sand

I know which one, Im gonad end upon end upon

Lisette and Eileen

“When he was here alive, Eileen,
There was a word you might have said;
So never mind what I have been,
Or anything,—for you are dead.

“And after this when I am there
Where he is, you’ll be dying still.
Your eyes are dead, and your black hair,—
The rest of you be what it will.

“’Twas all to save him? Never mind,
Eileen. You saved him. You are strong.
I’d hardly wonder if your kind
Paid everything, for you live long.

“You last, I mean. That’s what I mean.
I mean you last as long as lies.
You might have said that word, Eileen,—
And you might have your hair and eyes.

“And what you see might be Lisette,
Instead of this that has no name.
Your silence—I can feel it yet,
Alive and in me, like a flame.

“Where might I be with him to-day,
Could he have known before he heard?
But no—your silence had its way,
Without a weapon or a word.

“Because a word was never told,
I’m going as a worn toy goes.
And you are dead; and you’ll be old;
And I forgive you, I suppose.

“I’ll soon be changing as all do,
To something we have always been;
And you’ll be old.… He liked you, too,
I might have killed you then, Eileen.

“I think he liked as much of you
As had a reason to be seen,—
As much as God made black and blue.
He liked your hair and eyes, Eileen.”

Mistress Eileen Green

A magical song plays
And Mistress Eileen Green dances wondrously
While making the children smile
And building up their spirits before sending them on their way

Fully dressed in purple and green
I stand by the side with my arms crossed
Behind this ninja mask no one can see me smile
I admire her for her spirit and of who she is

Mistress Eileen Green comes up to greet me
While holding a bell and a wooden stool in her arms
I gladly give her the time she wishes to converse with me
I admire her comments on my full regalia
And I talk and make her smile just the same
We hug each other for a wonderful meeting and welcome

Anne and the Boys's Bath Night

It was the boys' bath night
and you had bathed
and were drying yourself

with the white towel
they had given you
when the bathroom door flew open

and Anne stood there one-legged
in her pink flowered nightdress
perching on her crutches like a hawk

her eyes bright and dark
a smile lingering on her lips
well bugger me

she said
what a sight
for a girl's lovesick eyes

and she entered the bathroom
and pushed the door shut
behind her with her bottom

almost uncrutching herself
in the process
you pulled the towel

tight around you
and stared at her
it's the boys' bath night

you muttered
girls aren't allowed in
while boys bath

she moved over
to the mirror
and gazed at herself

you're right
she said
I'm not a boy

I'm a tight titted girl
and she laughed
and crutched herself

over towards you
making you flatten yourself
against the wall

gripping the towel with one hand
and holding her back
with the other

and she leaned down
and kiss the back of your hand
then looked you deep in the eyes

what have you got hidden
behind that towelling skirt then?
she said

and you gripped the towel tighter
with both hands
and she menacingly moved

one hand cautiously towards the towel
her armpits gripping
the crutches tightly

as she moved
you shouldn't be in here
you said

I'm not in there yet
she laughed and grabbed
the towel away with a force

that took her and the towel
toppling to the bathroom floor
where she lay

like an overturned beetle
you stood naked
your hands covering

what your father
called your toolbox
gazing down at her struggling

to get up
well don't just stand there
like a prize parrot

help pick me up
she said
and so with one hand covering

you knelt down to help lift her up
but then she pulled you
down beside her

and laughed
and her laughter echoed
around the walls

but then she paused
and put a hand
over her mouth

hearing Sister Bridget's
nearby footsteps
and noisy calls.

Sullied

She plunges into the hot water
and begins to scrub. Brush and
soap on skin. She wants him off
and out of her. Undo him from her.

Unkiss his kisses, untouch his touches.
She breathes in. She reeks, stinks
of him. He seems to have penetrated
every orifice on her body. She pushes

herself under the water, holds herself
there, opens her eyes even the sting
brings no purification. She sits up and
holds the sides of the bath. Calm down

she tells her shaking hands and legs
but they disobey and carry on like
disobedient children in play. She tries
to think of other things. Think of

somewhere nice, some time once
enjoyed, some pleasure once had,
sipping of the best wine, greedy
eating of caviar or grape. But no.

Everything is focused on him and
the rape. She rubs and scrubs until
she's red and raw. Stop stop her
inner voice screams. Nothing is

what it seems. He pushes his way
even into her every thought now.
He seeps into every pore. The water
fails to clean. She sits there naked,

undone, brush in hand, hair in a mess.
This is not real she says, but knows
it is, she in the bath, wet, raw, sore
and sullied. Yes that's a word mother

would have used: sullied. Tainted,
tarnished, degraded or as Mother
would have said: dishonoured. She
focuses on each aspect of her flesh

as if seen for the first time. What
you focus on is your reality. Who said
that? Does it matter now? Dostoevsky?
The Idiot, that book. Who cares who

said what. The water is no longer hot.
He is still on skin and in orifice in spite
of the rubs and scrubs and tears and curses.
No longer the innocent, no more the

sipping of wine or eating of grape.
Just him and memory of the rape.

A Room At The Top.

It was a room
at the top of the building

music being played
from some hifi system

and Judy said
you dance quite well

thanks
you said

haven't seen you
here before

she looked at you
with her dark eyes

I come for the drug aid
they help me here

to get of the junk
oh right

you replied
looking for signs

of needle marks
or signs in the eyes

you take junk?
No I'm a booze clown

you said
she nodded

and danced to the music
for a moment or so

my parents are doctors
in the City and have put me

in the hospital but I get out
for a few hours

and they let me
come here for the help

you looked at her dressed
in her tight slacks

and over long jumper
her breasts small

compact
untouchable

her hips swaying
to the music's beat

the way she moved
drawing you in

smelling her scent
her words lost

in a singer's voice
a guitar whining

in and out
maybe I can come see you

you have to shout
over the music's rising sound

sure
she said

moving her neat ass
as she moved around

and she whispered
the address and where

the hospital was
and how to get there

then she was whisked away
by some guy

with a drugged out
look in his eye

and you watched her sway
moving off

going slowly
but sexily away.

Inertia Creeps

3d
Recollect me darling raise me to your lips
2 undernourished egos 4 rotating hips
Hold on to me tightly Im a sliding scale
Cant endure then you can inhale
Clearly out of body experience
Interferes and dreams of flying I fit nearly
Surrounds me though I get lonely
Slowly
Moving up slowly
Inertia keeps
Shes moving up slowly
Slowly
Moving up slowly
Interia creeps
Moving up slowly
She comes moving up slowly
She comes moving up slowly
Inertia creeps
Moving up slowly
She comes
Moving up slowly (x2)
In my home no chrome as clear as
See me now with my nearest dearest
Been there when Im over-careering
Room shifting is endearing
Between us is our kitchen
Where she finds my irritants itching
Been here before been here forever
Moving up slowly
Inertia keeps moving up slowly
Inertia creeps moving up slowly
Inertia keeps moving up slowly
She comes
Moving up slowly (x2)
She comes moving up slowly
Inertia creeps moving up slowly
She comes
There be no sound in my eiderdown
Awake I lie in the morning blue
Room is still my antenna in you
Nylon burns the bedspread with 2
Gravity zero see me stall
I bounce off the walls lose my footing and fall
It can be sweet though incomplete though
And the frames will freeze see me on all 4s
Its been a long time
She comes (x2)
Comes
I want to x you, she comes
I want to x you, she comes
I caught your radio waves
I caught your radio waves
With tin cans and string
Say you string me along
Say string me along
Say inertia creeps
Inertia creeps and she comes
Say she comes (x4)

I Am Ready to Jump

My body trembles;
I am ready to jump,
my entire body moves slowly as I take a few steps back,
I run- my arms feel like lead.

As I reach the edge,
I realize this wasn't so smart.
Now as I fall down, down, down,
through the air, I start to cry.

Salty tears slide up into my hair,
the vast body of water looms ever closer;
should I close my eyes?

Surely when I hit the water
I will die instantly.
Or will I find nothing but frothing water
and agonizing pain?

In an instant, I plunge into the icy water,
I'm not dead, I don't feel any pain.
But something keeps pulling me down,
and so I sink into the icy water.

'I'm not ready to die! ' screams a voice in
the back of my head.
And so I try to swim upward,
moving my arms that feel like lead.

No longer am I in a sea of salt and water,
but of porridge;
thick like mud.
So I stoke harder, faster;
going nowhere.

Exausted with fatigue I look for a shore line,
there is nothing but water.
As far as my eyes can see,
there is nothing but water.

And so I give up,
no more trying.
I fall back into the water;
eyes still open, stinging.

I fade into the depths of the water,
praying silently to my God;
singing my last song,
as I start to drift and nod.

Bathing In A Tub

What is cleaner-
Bathing inside a tub
or out of it?
How stupid to ask
such a silly question!
You put turkey in a pan
to cook it over fire
Your potatoes won't bake
but burn if put in fire
Your Bar-B-Q would char
if put in fire
So, what seems good
Is to put things over fire
not in it.
If you bathed in a tub
full of water with sud
your pretty skin will catch
all the germs you dropped
in the dirty bath water
No need to be Japanese
But learn from anybody is good
you don't have to burn your hand
by putting your hand in fire
or for the sake of this topic
in the infested water in the tub
Get going and take a bath
outside the bath tub
when you've cleansed yerself
of all 'pollution'
then only you should sit
pretty in the clean water
of your bath tub
and get healthier and more!

Janice and You and the Stars

Janice watched
as you held on
to the ledge
of the ice-cream van

to see how long
you could hold on
in that dare game
the boys played

in the Square
and after
you jumped off
she said

isn't that dangerous?
sure it is
you replied
that's the point

to see how long
you can hold on
without falling
and getting hurt

she looked at you
and said
if Gran saw me
doing that

she'd tan
my behind
ah
you said

that's it
not to be seen
by those grown ups
and spoilsports

she raised
her eyebrows
and said
maybe

but it's not for me
and so you took her hand
and went along
through the Square

and across Bath Terrace
and into Jail Park
to the swings
and slides

and such things
and you grabbed
a swing each
and pushed off

and you looked at her
beside you
her hair flowing
in the wind

her dress billowing
as the wind caught it
and you said
how high can you go?

high as I can
she said
and she pushed
her legs out

and then under
the seat of the swing
getting the rhythm right
getting the swing

to go higher
and higher
and you did likewise
and you watched

as her whole body
got into the ride
and her hands gripped
the metal chains

and you saw
her legs rise high
and her brown sandals
and white socks

and she said
is this high enough?
and you said
as high as high

can go is high
and she laughed
and pushed her feet
right up into the sky

and you pushed through
the aches and pains
of the muscles
to reach the highest pinnacle

and she gazed at you and laughed
and there was that moment
when you thought
you saw new stars

being born in her smile
but then she slowed down
and the new stars
died out after a while.

Prose Poem V

and when she gets home they're painting the shutters green'.
'Green'?
'Yes. Green was her husband's favorite color. He preferred the shutters green. It was the sign she sought'.
'I see', said Eileen, not really thrilled by this example from literature.
'You don't believe it'?
'I have to think about it. It sounds a little hokey.
I tried to appear shocked, but I'm not very good at it.
'I know what you mean', I said simply, remembering my vow.
Eileen looked at her watch. She had a case to shoot. She dismissed me, turned and walked off down the hall, her abrupt departure both relieving and disappointing me. I, too, looked at my watch. The afternoon was early and there was still lots to do.

Thoughts Of A Mother

My daughter would turn 10 next month…
I find it hard to believe!
It seems only yesterday
That she was born….
As my thoughts wander
Down the memory lane,
I am transported
To those restless days
In the balcony where I sat
On a low stool
With swollen feet and a heavy body
With waves of nausea and anxiety
Drowning me in the abyss of depression
Wondering if I was in for a second nightmare
Much more frightening than the last….

My daughter would complete one decade of her life next month…
I find it hard to believe!
It seems only yesterday
That she was born….
As my thoughts wander
Down the memory lane,
I am transported
To those long, peaceful days
In the balcony where I sat
On a low stool
With needles and threads of different colors
With a pink cloth and an embroidery frame
With my lips moving in a silent prayer to God
Wondering if He was going to make my daughter
As beautiful as the flowers I was embroidering…..

Partial Resemblance

A doll's hair concealing
an eggshell skull delicately
throbbing, within which
maggots in voluptuous unrest
jostle and shrug. Oh, Eileen, my
big doll, your gold hair was
not more sunny than this
human fur, but
your head was
radiant in its emptiness,
a small clean room.

Her warm and rosy mouth
is telling lies—she would
believe them if she could believe:
her pretty eyes
search out corruption. Oh, Eileen
how kindly your silence was, and
what virtue
shone in the opening and shutting of your
ingenious blindness.
