rain water streams
down assaulted glass
window pane cries

Rain Keeps Fallin
I remember the night so well.
The rain was fallin but I just couldnt tell,
If it was you that was callin to my love-sick brain.
But the rain kept fallin on my window pane.
Out of the night the thunder rang in my ear.
I cant fight the feelin, lord, that brings forth my fears.
I wish it was over, lord, please stop the rain.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
Every night the rains on time, I can feel it in this heart of mine.
But I dont know what to do.
Well, I guess I could go back home, cause you know back home is where I belong.
But it just aint home without you.
And I dont know what to do, baby.
Well, I guess Im a looser but it just dont seem fair.
I lost all my life so tell me, why should I care?
The night that you left me is the night that it came.
And the rains still fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain ...
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
... keeps right on fallin.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said, the rain keeps fallin ...

When Will It Rain
No one ever sees you cry
You just keep it all inside
In a warm place, where you can hide
When will it rain
When will it rain
I saw you laugh the other day
But all too fast it went away
Now your skys cloudy n gray
Falling mainly on the plain
When will it rain
When will it rain
No water fallls
Down your window pane
And when I look into your eyes
That window to your soul cant lie
Theres water where the well went dry
So how long can there be a drought
When your dams filled with doubt
No place to build your house
Let your cup runneth over and out
I said for crying out loud
When will it rain
When will it rain
No water fallls
Down your window pane
When will it rain
When will it rain
A tear for fear is calling out your name
Rain on me

Hot
So hot here even the trees are looking for shade
Come on they scream we do this all year
Without being paid
The tar is lifting of the road
Praying for a water truck to spill its load
Roof tiles crying you think its hot down there
Try being up here
Its so hot it warps the door
They scream we cant take any more
Glass from the window pane
How would you like to be stuck in this frame
In the distance rain clouds appear
Yippy cries come out
Rain will soon be here
Window Pain
As I sit here looking at the rain staring through my window pane I feel just sorrow and no glee sometimes I feel there's nothing left inside of me As I sit here staring through the window pane looking out towards the rain hoping the sun will make me change knowing how much I hate this pain. The sun came out but I did not change in once again came back the rain in so I sit here knowing it doesn't matter if its sun or rain the pain I feel will never change and once again I'm alone to stare at the rain sitting here looking through my window pane.

I Had A Window Full Of Rain
closed down rumbling beating hard
Glass arrayed cold warmth untouched
Sorrowful frigid sterile surface glide in
Unopened crumbling crackling water sobs
And then a child a child came in
Looked at the window rumbling beating loud
It said ‘It looks like magic
Those racing drops and this rhythm blast
Restless trembling leaking down
Wow it’s a window full of steam
I think I will draw it a smile
I think I will draw it a heart
I think I’ll make it
A happy window pane
A laughing window pane.’

The Case Of The Window Pain
an astute answer
discerning shrewd
would surely mention
this wit must be
personification
of a window pane
as for the window pain
perhaps the window is shamed
perhaps the window is dirty
as for the window pain
perhaps the glass is cracked
small large cracks streaked
as for the window pain
perhaps cricket ball punctured
victim of circle game holed
as for the window pain
perhaps the window is broken
glass shards bear crime witness
as for the window pain
perhaps window frame rots
an old window in house derelict
as for the window pain
perhaps the window witnesses
child abuse domestic scenes violent

A Glass Of Water Please
and so the story wants to end itself with a
glass of water.
those who cry after always need
a glass of water.
those whose hearts are broken
those who sob
those who close the window of the niche
those who have nightmares
those who wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning
those who sit on bed and cannot sleep back
always go to the kitchen
open the refrigerator
get a glass and splash
a cold glass of water
this time, i am asking for a glass of water
for i could be
all of the above or you could be one of those
i have described
but who knows we are not one of those
who knows
we are but just anyone who is normally thirsty
and with nothing to ask
simply ask
for a glass of cold water.
and cheerfully, we do not forget to say
please....

A Poem Sliding Down the Glass-pane
I look around
And retrieve to
My regular corner
The glass widow
Overlooking the sky
Everyday
Every afternoon
I looked at the baked glass
With its coat of dirt
In expectation
The clear sky
Always giving me
An apologetic glance
Lo, this morning
As the clouds dimmed
The corner, hope revived
The sky didn't let me down
The rain lashed and lashed
The rain slid down the glass-pane
Like water droplets
On the freshly bathed skin!

Maybe It Shall Rain
Maybe it shall rain
with drops upon my pane
and I shall finger them from inside
and feel the likeness to how I cried.
But rain will stop and tears will too.
It will be hard for me to view
my window pane without touching it
and it will be a chore for me to sit
and wait for raindrops on my pane
without remembering every stain
of drops and tears that came to me
and prove that they still can be
hurtful.

Window
I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatevers in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I cant tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
Or breaking him or her or me

Storm Windows
People are putting up storm windows now,
Or were, this morning, until the heavy rain
Drove them indoors. So, coming home at noon,
I saw storm windows lying on the ground,
Frame-full of rain; through the water and glass
I saw the crushed grass, how it seemed to stream
Away in lines like seaweed on the tide
Or blades of wheat leaning under the wind.
The ripple and splash of rain on the blurred glass
Seemed that it briefly said, as I walked by,
Something that I should have liked to say to you,
Something . . .the dry grass bent under the pane
Brimful of bouncing water . . . something of
A swaying clarity which blindly echoes
This lonely afternoon of memories
And missed desires, while the wintry rain
Unspeakable the distance in the mind!)
Runs on the standing windows and away.

When The Sun Comes Out
When the sun comes out
And that rain stops beatin on my window pane
When the sun comes out
Therell be bluebirds round my door, singin like they did before
That ol storm broke out
And my man/gal walked off and left me in the rain
Though hes/shes gone I doubt
If hell/shell stay away for good,Id stop livin if he/she should
Love is funny, its not always peaches, cream and honey
Just when everything looked bright and sunny
Suddenly the cyclone came, Ill never be the same
Til that sun comes out
And the rain stops beatin on my window pane
If my heart holds out
Let it rain and let it pour, it may not be long before
Theres a knockin at my door
Then youll know the one I love walked in
When the sun comes out

Raindrops
The drip, drip, drip of the rain
against my window pane
quiets the stormy rages
that invade my brain.
The methodical tapping of wetness
slowly flushes away
all accumulated sadness
on a dark and dreary day.
Welcomed by creatures of the outside world
unaware of the constant drip,
they find the watery pools that collect
and drink or take a dip.
The clouds have opened. They're not aware
of the rain's effect on me.
'Tis not important to them at all.
That's something that I see.
But I, seeing the dripping rain
against my window pane
must give up sadness while it falls,
for it will not remain.
The sun will burst forth once again
and lighten the sky and my heart.
And the drip, drip, drip of the rain
will be a memory that will depart.

Sweet Rain
Pitter-patter-pane
Here we go once again
With the sound of rain
On my window pane
First it bulges out with a drizzle
I frizzle in bed waiting for the rain to fizzle
The raindrops fight as they sizzle
Why the sizzle is relaxing remains to me a puzzle
Whilst it pours down heavy
Imposing on the roads a levy
Thunder, chaos and lighting
Is the rattling usual sighting
I hear the people complain
About the sound of sweet rain
But we need you to maintain
The forests, the green and the mountain plains
O! sweet rain! O! sweet rain!
Pitter-patter-pane
Let us do it once again
Just don't delay my speeding train

A Radio With Guts
it was on the 2nd floor on Coronado Street
I used to get drunk
and throw the radio through the window
while it was playing, and, of course,
it would break the glass in the window
and the radio would sit there on the roof
still playing
and I'd tell my woman,
"Ah, what a marvelous radio!"
the next morning I'd take the window
off the hinges
and carry it down the street
to the glass man
who would put in another pane.
I kept throwing that radio through the window
each time I got drunk
and it would sit there on the roof
still playing-
a magic radio
a radio with guts,
and each morning I'd take the window
back to the glass man.
I don't remember how it ended exactly
though I do remember
we finally moved out.
there was a woman downstairs who worked in
the garden in her bathing suit,
she really dug with that trowel
and she put her behind up in the air
and I used to sit in the window
and watch the sun shine all over that thing
while the music played.

Tonight, Am In Love With The Rain
Tonight, am in love with the rain
The beating sound on my window pane
The howling wind, the dripping water
Man and beast seeking shelter
Am in love with the flashing light
The roaring thunder deep in the night
Am wondering how frightening it would be
To meet a storm in the open sea
Am in love with pools and puddles
Splashing water and the ripples
And waving wipers of cars driving by
Lighted images of raindrops from the sky
Am in love with cold water on my feet
As i take a walk on the empty street
And i love to have a bath in the rain
To melt away this lingering strain
But i dont always love the rain!
Sometimes, it brings memories of yesterdays pain
And my thoughts would mingle for too long
With the tune of the its mournful song
Sometimes, it brings the thoughts of storms at sea
And that fearsome waves that benumb me
And i, standing, wondering how
I sailed through her fiercest jaw
Sometimes, it brings the thought of death,
Which is the curse upon all birth
And reminding me how times fly
And how one day all flesh shall lie
Tonight my emotions are running deep
With things that make me laugh and weep
Tonight, here in my dingy room
I see flashes of gloom and bloom
My age long fears, are muffled by the pelting rain
And my common tears flushed down the drain
Tonight, am in love with the rain
And its beats on my window pane! !

All I Needed Was The Rain
(words & music by ben weisman - sid wayne )
Hello misfortune, hows my old friend mr. misery?
Ive been away so long I bet you think you saw the last of me
Got no bed, to rest my head
No doors or walls or window pane
Now all I needed was the rain
Rain, rain, rain, rain
Met a little honey at the buzzin bumble bee cafe
Yes I did
One drink and all my money and that honey bee had flown away
Im bout as low, as I can go
I dont really mean to complain
Now all I needed was the rain
Rain, rain...rain..rain
All I needed was this rain...
All I needed was the rain...um..um.....

Rain Water
Morning of 21st, I am 34.
The rain outside my window drizzles a rhythm of February dawn.
Rain water flows from the early morning sane—
Rain water washes the yesterday’s pain.
Rain water and I have loved you dear—
Rain water and you come close to me near.
Rain water taps my fingertips, and I love you more than yearning—
Rain water runs deeper into our skins of longing.
Morning of 21st, I am happier.
The rain won’t stop until I melt as a better person.

Not A Lot To Do
Sunday afternoon
Not a lot to do
Think of all
The places I could be
People I could meet
Life so small
I'm watching drops of rain
On my window pane
Empty streets
And no one knocks around
No one goes to town
I'm a-going out
Sick of staying in
Living life
With worries on my mind
Waste away the time
Days that I was born
Closed up all the doors
So restricted
Put my life of shame
Through the window pane
Now I'm blessed
Cause god created Sundays
So we could stay in
And watch the rain fall down
I lay on my bed
I feel all left out
I switch off my head
And I can live on my own
And stay in all day
And watch the rain falling down
I lay on my bed
I feel all left out
And switch off my head

Where Did You Go
Im looking out the window pane
And I hear the sound of pouring rain
But youre not here
Where did you go
I wanna know what made you go away
What went wrong?
Im looking out my window pane
And I hear the sound of pouring rain
Theres no-one here to laugh with me
To make the dark clouds disappear
My love, what went wrong?
Where did you go - there is no answer
I need you now much more than ever
Where did you go - why cant you be with me
Where did you go - we were so tender
Where did you go - why not surrender
Only you can set me free
Im looking out my window pane (oh yes)
And I hear the sound of pouring rain
I think of you, of someone who can
Always count on love so true
And Im here - where are you?
Tell me...
I think of you, of someone who can
Always count on love so true
And Im here - where are you?
Where did you go - there is no answer
I need you now much more than ever
Where did you go - why cant you be with me
Where did you go - we were so tender
Where did you go - why not surrender
Only you can set me free
Where did you go - there is no answer
I need you now much more than ever
Where did you go - why cant you be with me
Where did you go - we were so tender
Where did you go - why not surrender
Only you can set me free
