When You Have Killed Hunted The Last...

when you have killed
hunted the last tundra
wolf to extinction
when glorious tundra
is an empty desolate place
without tundra wolves

when the last beaver
has been hunted killed
for fur for sport
when the last eagle
no longer wonder flies
high mountain thermals

when you have killed
hunted the last Grizzly bear
Polar bear to extinction
when all the Arctic ice
has melted with global warming
when all the ice is gone

I too will be gone
my kind will be gone...
we will not live
in this your world
with brother sister spirits
already extinction gone...

I Killed The Cat

damn i killed the cat
i can't believe it
a well placed kick killed
the cat yet no remorse
wait is that a smile
yea peaceful nights now
you waking up for cats yea
but no its not your life to take
you killed a living thing
it only a cat
there no where near extinction
so you have no problem
no the kids loved it
how do i explain it to them
ooh bury it and say it ran away
but they will be sad
sad! what sad face never killed
no one but my boot did
it collided in its tiny skull
it moaned till it pass
my god i killed the cat
i killed the cat

Africa's Calling

Take me back to Africa
where Hippos and Lions roam.
Where Giraffes and Zebra live in harmony
making Africa's tundra their life, their home.

Rains come not often to drench dry thirst of land
not as often as one would like.
Locus clouds plague the land
while devouring everything in sight.

Uglyness yet beauty of this land
only the stong can and will survive.
Scavenger birds picking bones clean
all that was hunted, killed and died.

Africa calling, this land inbred in me.
Just take me home to Africa
Africa's calling again to see.

Tundra Wolf Eats Wild Joy Life Survival

tundra wolf alone has survived vicious winter
alone without pack without companionship
has survived all challenges imposed in winter

fur very long dense fluffy soft survival postures
top hairs 150-160 mm guard hairs 80-150 mm
underfur 70 mm layers survival light grey colour

lower fur lead-grey upper fur reddish-grey ensures
wind composite layers in tundra wolf running
ranging over Arctic rim hunting prey life ensures

wild domestic reindeer snow sheep hares arctic foxes
feed power tundra muscles for long ranges running
make birth den in river valleys thickets in dry plateaus

rarely will tundra wolf make form permanent home territories
winter coast malting hangs on lone male wolf rough proud
looping across tundra landscape seeking reindeer migrations

days past not eating moving moving seeking prey life kills
searching herds scouting out weakness in migration herds
run lone wolf run forty minutes 30 mph hunting weakness

run with hope run with life joy smile in wild range spirit
no reindeer slow injured fall to paws gripping claws
race hunt abandoned lone wolf joy cools in pool ice waters

it is good to run it is good to be healthy flex strong muscles

The Hunted Child

Verse 1
(today in los angeles another youth loses his life. gunshot wound to
The head. street violence is at an all-time high)
No jokin, Im sleepin with my eyes open
Wanted for a homicide ride, the guns still smokin
Didnt know what I was doin but did it anyway
Now the posses on my trail, they say Im gonna pay (run!)
I had a gun, its mine and I packed it
Out with my crew, the boys caught some static
Me and this sucker punk went at it
Bang! nine automatic
Hunted child
Im the hunted child
Verse 2
(sources say the assailant was 17-years old and lives in south-central
Los angeles)
Now Im on a hideout tip cos theyre after me
Lapd says theyre gonna capture me
Was I crazy? I guess I had to be
Cos once you kill its instant catastrophe
Your whole life is over (through!)
Forget about your girl your (crew!)
Nowhere to run, so what you gonna do?
Be glad its me, homeboy, and not you
The hunted child
Im the hunted child
Hunted child
Im the hunted child
Verse 3
Im only 17, I didnt mean to kill, man
But I was slangin and bangin for the thrill, man
When they said (kill!) I felt chill, man
But once I pulled the trigger, boy, then things got ill, man
My homeboys dipped out the back fast
Left me alone in the echo of the gun blast
Everybody saw my face, I didnt wear a mask
You wanna know my name? just ask
The hunted child
Im the hunted child
Hunted child
Im the hunted child
(the science of capitalism which you teach to the youth on the streets
Today with the ends justifying the means mentality aint happenin)
Verse 4
Im sweatin heavy cos my face is on tv
Everybody in this whole worlds after me
Since I was young I never had a damned thing
At christmas time Id hate to hear the bells ring
Cos in the ghetto santa aint got a dime
Your mothers standin in the welfare line
The way the youth survive is crime
My life is over so I might as well speak my mind
I killed a brother cos this system had me geared to kill
Cos what I call home you call hell
My ghetto quarters aint no better than a jail cell
But theres a message in this story that Im tryna tell
Were just brothers on the streets killin brothers
This system has us geared to kill one another
Sellin dope to poison each other
The plan of the man, word to the mother
But Im a sucker cos I fell into their plan
187, I killed a brother man
My life on earth was hell, you understand?
But when I die Im goin to hell again
Im the hunted child Im the hunted child Im the hunted child the
Hunted child
Im the hunted child
Im the hunted child

Tundra

Short arctic desert day ---
And someone left their snow-shoes in the tundra.
Look around every which way
But I cant see just where the footprints go.
Is it a casual disappearance? ---
Plucked from the middle atmosphere
Like straw wind-blown.
No speck on the horizon ---
No simple message scrawled
Upon the snow.
Unearthly visitation ---
Someone left their snow-shoes in the tundra.
Hungry buzzard flier
Circling round and round
Rattling deaths tambourine.
Have to run it down the cold wire ---
Late insertion in tomorrows lost and found.
Should I spread out searching?
But Im a little thin upon the ground.
So I raise my lips to coax
The last drop of brandy from the bottle.
Rest my feet and contemplate
The mystery thats haunting
This siberian space.
Show-shoes they bind me down ---
Im just one more parasite of the surface layer.
I begin to get the feeling
Ive been on this stage before
And Im the only player.
One more arctic desert day ---
Another set of shoes out in the tundra snow.
I make my fade to white-out
And you cant see me where my footprints go.

On The Edge

The polar bear has lasted well,
Outliving those we've lost...
Some species merely stay a spell
And then they pay the cost...
Extinction takes its toll each year
And sometimes Man's to blame
And there's no doubt, it's crystal clear...
Let's bow our heads in shame...
Adopt a polar bear, some say...
Conserve what still remains...
We can postpone that final day,
If we just use our brains!
Resources come, resources go...
That's just the way it is.
We need to make their numbers grow...
Before things go amiss...
Their future's truly in our hands
And in our wallets, too.
How wise is he who understands
And does what he must do.
How blessed are those that say their prayers
For healing on this Earth.
God hears our thoughts for polar bears
Because they, too, have worth.
Yes, it's great, we've got the knowledge,
So we can change their fate!
If not, they'll die! They're on the edge!
Extinction! Gone! Too late!

by Stephen Gayford called 'On The Edge'.

Extinction Blues

World of fear
Dying sun
Amber tears
Wars to be won
World grown old
Lost to man
All alone
All but forgotten
Same extinction blues
Youve heard before the
Same old news
You and i
Last chance
Age of ice
Frozen romance
Time repeats
Death to life
Heartbeats
Save us tonight
Same extinction blues
Its great to be optimistic
And look at the world
Through rose colored eyes
Tell you what not to wish for
Mountains dont move
When you want them to
Same extinction blues
Youve heard before
The same old news
Extinction blues

Wolf Killed For Pelt

he just got out
of the joint again...
caught dealing hillbilly heroin...
has that far away look
in his eyes when he talks,
part of him, a big part,
still locked up!
remember riding with him
in a 'vette,40 years ago...
when the wolf in him still hunted,
120 mph....
now the wolf is dead,
he's mostly dead,
maybe i'm dying too,
maybe we're all dead...
and the words on his headstone read:
wolf killed for pelt!

For What She Had Done

She had to die.
This Omoo knew.
He also knew he could not kill her.
Not even try to kill her.
Those eyes. Would look at him. Not even try.
So, what to do?
There was one Ung. Who lived in a cave.
Beyond the hard mountain. A foul cave.
Far from the village.
Ung, who hunted with stones.
Who killed with his hands.
Who had killed two saber-tooths.
And one great bear, whose skin he now wore hanging from his hairy shoulders.
And Ung had killed men. Many men.
And, it was said, a woman.
Ung, who took the fresh meat left upon the flat rock for the Spirit of the Sky.
And the Spirit of the Sky would go hungry.
And bring pain and darkness to the village.
But none dare say words to Ung.
Who had killed two saber-tooths.
And one great bear. And men, many men.
And, it was said, a woman.
He went to Ung.
Yes, said Ung, I will kill her.
For what she has done, said Omoo.
For equal weight, said Ung, in bear meat or lizard skins.
She is a large woman, said Omoo.
Equal wait, said Ung. Now you must come and show her to me, that I may kill her.
I cannot, said Omoo.
Then how will I know her?
Her hair is long, said Omoo.
Her eyes burn like the pools of night.
Many have the long hair, said Ung.
Many have eyes like the pool of night.
She will be bathing, said Omoo.
Tomorrow, as the sun dies,
She will be bathing. Washing her long hair at the falling water.
Many women will be bathing, said Ung.
Many long-haired, night-eyed women.
How will I know it is she?
Omoo thought.
Ah, he said, she will be carrying flowers.
Bright hill flowers, that I shall gather and place in her hands, before she goes to bathe at the falling water.
Then you will know her.
Then you will kill her.
For equal weight, said Ung.
Yes, said Omoo, for equal weight.

And so was begun the custom
Of giving bouquets and corsages.

For Human Greed

We may as well try to find another Planet to live on
Since people they cannot live on the Moon
And Mother Earth the Planet that sustains us
We in our fits of madness choose to ruin.

And perhaps there's not another Planet out there
For human beings to live on and destroy
'Twould seem indeed that the price of human progress
Comes at a cost and the cost seems far too high.

Each day more creatures of extinction endangered
When the land they live on we choose to invade
And extinction sad to say it is forever
For human greed the price has to be paid.

We are paving the way to our own extinction
Where humans live pollution becomes rife
The World will not end with the death of the last human
And Nature will do nicely without human life.

We had better find another Planet to live on
Or become extinct as a species that's our choice
As we are making the Planet we live on for us quite unlivable
For human greed that seems too high a price.

The Sad Punk

I smell smoke
Taht comes from a gun
Named extintion
It was a long time ago
Could have happened to anyone
He was struck by a bullet
And he melted into fluid named extintion
One thousand miles an hour
Im just like anyone
I want to feel
The road of tar beneath the wheel named extinction
And evolving from the sea
Would no be too much time for me
To walk beside you in the sun
I read something
About a son of a gun
Named extinction.

Video Killed The Radio Star

I heard you on my wireless back in '52
Lying awake intent on tuning in on you
If I was young it didn't stop you coming through
Oh-a-oh
They took the credit for your second symphony
Rewritten by machine on new technology
And now I understand the supernova scene
Oh-a-oh
I met your children
Oh-a-oh
What did you tell them?
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
In my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone too far
Wow
And now we meet in an abandoned studio
You hear the playback and it seems so long ago
And you remember, the jingles used to go,
Oh-a-oh
You were the first one
Oh-a-oh
You were the last one
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Cause in my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone too far
To far!
Alright
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Cause in my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone too far
Pictures came and broke your heart
So put all the blame on VCR
You are the radio star
You are the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Video killed that radio star yes it did

Pray For The Hunted

No light inside as empty room
Under pressure I cant win
The screams - the pain - its all inside
All this talking all the time
When there is something left
Talk to me face to face
Expected so much more
Im sick and tired of it all
Why dont you pray for the hunted
I scream for help to free my heart
You better pray for the hunter
I wonder why you take me apart
The light has diedd and whos to blame
Youre the one who messed around
You shook - you took - you played your games
The time has come youre going down
When there is something left
Talk to me face to face
Expected so much more
Im sick and tired of it all
Why dont you pray for the hunted
I scream for help to free my heart
You better pray for the hunter
I wonder why you take me apart
You take me apart
Why dont you pray for the hunted
You better pray for the hunter
Why dont you pray for the hunted
You better pray for the hunter
Why dont you pray for the hunted
I scream for help to free my heart
You better pray for the hunter
I wonder why you take me apart
Why dont you pray for the hunted
You score no more youve lost this game
You better pray for the hunter
Why do you always have to take me apart

Feed On The Weak

Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate sky, spirits die!
Haunting for the silence
As the sickness falls within.
You've got your strays,
The mice are killed.
It stems between the sick.
Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate sky, spirits die!
Haunting for behind them
Finds us meaning on the way.
The words fill, the chapters come.
It dissipates, it stays.
Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate skies, spirits die!
Falling hard, arriving fear.
Feeding on the weakest core.

Song (1)

We know where deepest lies the snow,
And where the frost-winds keenest blow,
O'er every mountain's brow,
We long have known and learnt to bear
The wandering outlaw's toil and care,
But where we late were hunted, there
Our foes are hunted now.
We have their princely homes, and they
To our wild haunts are chased away,
Dark woods, and desert caves.
And we can range from hill to hill,
And chase our vanquished victors still;
Small respite will they find until
They slumber in their graves.

But I would rather be the hare,
That crouching in its sheltered lair
Must start at every sound;
That forced from cornfields waving wide
Is driven to seek the bare hillside,
Or in the tangled copse to hide,
Than be the hunter's hound.
