Transition To Adulthood
teenage years are tough
too many conflicting emotions
too many conflicting expectations
bodily initiated transitions
child morphs cycles teenage adult
powers physical mental cognitive abilities
estrogen testosterone enter play field
bat reason rationality straight out for a six
mother nature whips hormones through a mix
estrogens primary female sex hormones
initiates hard wires female passions desires
testosterone jump starts male reproductive tissues
promotes secondary sexual characteristics
increased bone mass muscle growth of body hair
estrogens testosterone essential for health well-being
contradictions in behavourial requirements
grow up act your age your not a child now
no you can't do that go there your not a child
mixed messages merge with hormone havoc
increased study pressures examination stress
peer pressures required look expectations stress?
Would you mind adulthood more than transitional phases?
At this point in life where you're not really a grown up?
Neither are you a child exempt from adult responsibilities?
not experienced enough to work
not experienced enough to be your own self
but too old to depend on sheltering others?
Where do you go from here?
Careful young soul at threshold of adulthood?
Walk through that door into kaleidoscopic possibilities?

Sex is tonic.
Testosterone makes a man sexy,
Giving him rigidity.
Estrogen makes a woman sexy,
Giving her suppleness.
Hormones in both rises to the peak,
When they excite each other.
It is hormones that take care of one’s health.
Hormones’ level increases
When sexual thoughts frequent.

Gender determination
‘Is this a man or a woman? ’
asked a child the other,
pointing to a nude picture.
‘How can I, no dress? ’
answered the other child.
‘Is this a male or a female? ’
asked an adult the other,
pointing to a clothed child.
‘How can I, it’s dressed.”
Answered the other adult.
Child decides by clothes.
Adult confirms without cloth

Innocence of a child
In the dark of night
you would come
in the silence
of the hour
you would serve
Satan your master
taking the innocence
of a child
destroying a child's life
denying the child
a normal adulthood!
Have you ever thought
of your actions?
what you were doing
by the lust
that controlled you?
Who gave you
the right to take
the child's innocence?
yes, you, who gave you
the right?
After many years
of emotional suffering
a child entered
into adulthood
God embraced
the adult in love
Forgiveness in Christ
becomes the words
in the heart
freedom in Christ
the prize received
The abuser of the child
are then forgiven
Abuser of the child
did you find
God's forgiveness
before you died
many years later
I hope dearly so!

Being a Mom
A woman conceives
Having wondrous expectations
For a child yet to be
Knowing only that it’ll
Be unique and little
Will the child she has inside
Have the characteristics
Of both mom and dad…
As her body changes physically
She wonders about the possibilities
When the day of birth approaches
Anticipation of happiness
Outshines any thoughts of pain
The time is now…many hours pass
Before the child is in her grasp
A miracle of creation
With lungs filled with dependency
Child, if the future
We could see…
Only fulfillment would there be
As a parent, there is a tendency
To foresee a path clear and free
With love and unquestionable hope
Guidance is give with spoonfuls of tact
Standing back to see how a child reacts
Fortunately successes are attained
Step by step, one day at a time
When achievements are measured
Save room for unexpected surprises
Beyond the scope of what one surmises
Watching as a child becomes an adult
Now approaching independence
Far beyond the months of pregnancy
The child leaves but does not part
From a mother’s loving heart

Teenage Mind Translates Intimacy Meanings
teenage mind enters into
an interactive visual journey
of age defining transition
lust desire to love copulative
mounting mind consuming
intimacy is soul mate journey...
quest or testosterone estrogen...
conquest or love match eternity...
a star field player is up to play
relationship or married coupling
can be many desires including
a mind release load off the mind
playful satisfied bond rhythm friend

Be a child-parent-adult
To the child, it is a day.
To the parent, it is a night.
To the adult both are inclusive.
The child lives in fantasy.
The parent lives in fallacy.
It is the adult that lives,
Where he is put, in ecstasy.
The child admires things.
The parent criticizes them.
The adult realizes them.
The child appreciates.
The parent deprecates.
The adult rationalizes.
The poet is the child in man.
The priest is the parent in man.
The logician is the adult in man.
Live a child to be youthful.
Live a parent to be awesome.
Live an adult to be credible.

A Child In A Man
Testosterone muscled men have,
The Top and the center, the caves,
Something is there to do the basic,
Nothing is there to think angelic,
Given the work, they do sincerely,
As the kids in the play school aviary,
The children long to be praised,
The children need to be reminded,
The children want to be around,
The loving hearts that care,
In each and every man, there is a child,
That long for the love of a mother,
When the women identify that child,
They have the responsible man in the household,
When the women take good care of that child,
They have the obedient handyman in the household.
When the women try to be funny with that child
The child will be the runaway kid,
Likes to play truant, shows the authority,
Displays tantrums and becomes juvenile delinquent.
Identify and rear that child efficiently..

An adult is still a child
A child imitates its mother with air.
An adult imitates models to seem fair.
A child imagines a child in a doll
And enjoys tending it with fantasy.
An adult imagines some ones in his
And experience bliss in fantasy.
A child fears and pretends ignorance.
An adult dreads and pretends innocence.
Though old, still a child, I amuse myself
Though wise, still a child, I fool myself.

Face In The Mirror
Time passes by
And the years fade into the distance
I look into the mirror and see a young boy
Full of hope and potential
A few moments later I stare again at my reflection
And I see a young teenager
Enthusiastic and full of life
Tasting love for the first time
Preparing to step into adulthood
Ready to take on the responsibilities that adulthood brings
I stare again at the mirror
My past lives reflected back at me
I see a young adult
Taking his first steps in the world
Learning how to interact and build a future
Hoping to find a partner to share his life with
Again I look into the mirror
This time the adult is older
Just turned thirty
The stress lines are starting to appear
Hope has faded to cynicism
The relationships have all ended badly
A breakdown is just around the corner
As I look into the mirror
I see a sad young man on a mental ward
Trying to come to terms with the pressures of life
The figure looks lost and forlorn
Will he put the pieces back together again?
Another glance at the mirror
This time the figure is nearly forty
There is a distant look in his eyes
Dreaming of what might have been
There is an attitude of acceptance and resignation
Life is a hard battle and sometimes you lose
Just living out the remaining years
Another glance at the mirror
This time the figure appears much older
The adult is now an old man of sixty-five
There is a look of fear in his eyes
His family have passed on and he is all alone
Only distant relatives remain and they were never close
The fear is of what lies ahead
Pain and suffering and death
As I look again in the mirror
I see a grave and a gravestone
Only two or three people at the funeral service
A sad end to a life
And as he gasped his last breath
Fear was still close at hand
What faced him after death?
Would his soul face damnation
For wasting the gift of life?
The gates of heaven would be slammed shut in his face
soul without a home too afraid to enter into hell
A soul endlessly searching for redemption but time has run out
A never-ending period of purgatory
A tormented soul without hope of redemption
As I look into the mirror I see my true self
Tears roll down my cheeks
I have seen my fate and it frightens me
Please guide me towards the path of salvation

Lifesong
to a child very young
life is
happiness and fun
to a child getting bigger
life and school
seem to be getting bitter
to a child growing up
life and love
seem to be getting mixed up
to a child fully grown
life is about
making choices on your own
to a child with a child
life is about
making sure there life isn't wild
to a child getting old
life is about
keeping your family out of the cold
to a child old and grey
life is about
remembering the past things you used to say
to a child dead and gone
life was about
your one lifesong

Your Children Are Always Your Children
In your eye’s the child
never ends,
nor should it
Oh the limbs grow,
the body matures to adulthood
But in your eye’s and heart
the child remains
The laughter though a deeper tone
Still holds that
joyous golden ring
of Christmas presents
or a birthday game
The hair now full and Silky
Still holds the urge
to touch and stroke
The smile though older
still makes the heart leap
The body may be
tall and lithe and grown
But in your eyes the outline
of the child is still seen
Though they are grown and flown
Never does a day pass
without the same worry
how are they, where are they
though they may be grown
In your eyes the child never ends nor should it

That child in me
Just like any other child, I never experienced being brought to school by a nanny.
My family couldn’t provide me one.
Just like any other child, I never experienced being fetched by a chauffer.
My father could not afford any.
Just like any other child, I never experienced being prepared a lunch box for my snack.
Nothing was there to prepare anyway.
Just like any other child, I never had a bag of my own.
What I had was a plastic bag that could accommodate all my belongings.
Just like any other child I never had good shoes to wear.
I got broken slipper; sometimes, none.
Just like any other child, I never had a good pair of socks.
An old pair of Boyscout knee socks is all I got
Just like any other child, I never had a uniform for my school.
Well, I inherited two faded ones from my grade six cousins.
Just like any other child, I was never allowed to go out camping in school.
No one could provide me the things to bring.
Just like any other child, I was never allowed to participate in any school games.
I was too thin to play any games
Just like any other child, going to school without breakfast became a habit.
Not because no body’s preparing it for me but because there really is nothing to prepare.
Just like any other child, I can hardly pay for my school tuition fees.
My mom barely had enough money after she does the neighbor’s laundry.
But unlike any other child, I never quit.
I never quit! I never quit!

Let a child smile
Let a child blissfully grow,
Don’t try and obstruct his natural flow.
Let a child sleep,
Don’t try and break his dreams.
Let a child run,
Don’t try and smack his ear-drum.
Let a child confidently walk,
Don’t try and lure him with your talk.
Let a child create,
Don’t try and teach him to hate.
Let a child be innocent,
Don’t try and show him the art of disguise.
Let a child be naughty,
Don’t try and instruct him to be haughty.
Let a child play,
Don’t try and intentionally spoil his day.
Let a child make mistakes,
Don’t try and show him the stick.
Let a child roam in Sunlight,
Don’t try and hide him from the bright.
Let a child express his thoughts,
Don’t try and be a mental block.
And let a child prosper and SMILE,
Don’t try and expose him to worldly guiles.

Adults Like Children
The cry of a child
Should be taken as mild
But that of an adult?
Is like overwriting a cult!
Hate that you would be adult by nature
In appearance and stature
Yet you hold up childlike culture
You feed us with folly like agriculture
Punching holes, here and there
Amongst your colleagues; peer-to-peer
You love pain with others so near
Without shame and/or fear
Grow up, not only your rear
Grow in manner without sneer

Explaining poetry
How can I ever explain poetry?
To a child it would be easy
Eenie minee minee moe
Catch the monkey by the toe
Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To get a pail of water
Is a poem easily understood by
A child
But to an adult
How can I ever explain poetry?
Can I explain it with a straight
Look in the eye
And I will tell him
Poetry Is looking a person straight in the eye
Yes you have only one more day to live?
Can I explain it to him
Like I have a gun and point it straight to his head
And say
Yes poetry kills and it kills you in a minute
And for free?
Or can I explain poetry to him
Like I am on the tenth floor of this building
And I tell him I am so problematic
And all I have to do is
Jump and kill myself
And he would be there
To tell me
Life is beautiful
There is reason to live
That I am loved
That many people still care
That I have a mission
That I have lots of good things to do
That this world has meaning
That I am the child of this universe
That I am no less than the trees and the stars and that by all means
I have the right to be here
That poetry can save
That poetry is one saving person holding one back to his senses
that poetry is hope, love, kindness
it has no word for hate
it does not kill
or enslave
or annihilate
Poetry is a decision
Not to jump.
That is poetry to me
And as an adult he must understand.

A Mother
How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is conceived nine months in the womb
the child that is cradled at daytime,
night time until dawn?
How can a mother forget her child?
How can a mother forget her child
the child who after the flow of months
has learned to stand and run?
How can a mother forget her child,
the child whose mouth imitates her mother`s tongue,
the child who after a year or two can say,
'Mama, I love you'?
How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is so dear in her own heart and mind,
the child that reveals the mystery of creation,
the beauty of growth and human interaction.
the infinity of our own universe
within its finite linear time?

THIS IS OUR WORLD! ! (SHOCKING n EXPLICIT)
Where a child lives in a warm mother's cocoon
Where a child is sold to the prostitutes, her life doomed
Where a father fiercely protects his child
Yet another father enters another's child
Where children play without any fear
Where men enter boys through the rear
Where a child gets a new toy every day
Where a child becomes a toy near the bay
Where a child is whooped up and twirled
Where a child is forced down and hurled
Where they go to fancy schools, sing and play
Where for a single meal, they sweat and labour all day

Is It The Hormone Of God?
women of portions, pleasant and attractive,
women of notion, free and enterprising,
women of vision, counting and galloping,
women of illusion, courting, and suffering.
women of innocence, birthing and lactating,
women of emotions, loving and longing,
women of pride, working and worrying,
women of gays, polluting and mutating.
Female are the reasons for the birth of gays,
as they dispose the hormones in the water ways.
Female are the reasons, for the men to be mutated,
for spiking the air and the land to be adulterated.
When you look at a man with a swinging hip,
when you hear a man with softened voice,
when you see a man with shiny cheeks,
when you glance a man with a tight pants,
Stop blaming them as if they are oriented,
blame these women who spiked them with female hormones,
even before they were born, during their growth,
blame these governments that want the profits,
playing with hormones in every useful female species.

(Comparison Poem) As A Child
As a child I was picked on, tortured, and humiliated
A outcast of the worst sort.
A child who had no voice of his own
No say
No reason to celebrate
Yet I did every day
As a child I didn't know the way
As I don't even now
No guidance has ever been just given to me
I had to search for it to be found
Even now I prefer living alone
Over the fairytale home
As a child I failed
I dropped out of school
Only to work in a factory
No It wasn't to be cool
I didn't have choice
For my back was to be broken
And food needed to be put on the table
If not me, who would
Protecting my family as one should
As child I dreamed of the stars
Now I dream of the different
An alternate existence
One unknown
Something to just let me get by for the rest of life
As a child I thought I knew of love
Now I'm still searching for it
Like a dog after his favorite bone
I have my passions
Some would say their nothing more then dressed up fashions
But they are mine
And nobody can take them away from me
As I child I wanted be rich
Now I see fortune and fame as nothing more then a game
People play
People go
And people stay
For one discovers many hidden talents
In desperate times
I rather do something I love
Then love something I have
As a child I had very little friends
And now I have even less
None dependable as they use to be
Most want something from me.
It so hard to say sorry I just don't got any
As a child I was mild
Now I'm even more layed back.
Haven't got into a physical fight years
If it comes to that I'll just disappear
When whom ever is near
Avoidance above confrontation
A coward I'm not
For if it can be defused
I will give it all I got
Those I love are the only ones i'll fight for
It is as I was a child
