Sweet Suffering

Meltem’s sadly suffering
her pregnant plight.
All my work interrupted
throughout day
throughout night.

Poems written
in late afternoon.
With artistic words
swift rushing flow.
Hindered
disturbed obstructed.
Flow free
abruptly by.

Meltem’s tearing
free flowing vomiting.
This heart wrenching
finality.
Ended when she collapsed
in actuality.

Rang her sister
who’s nightly stay.
Ensured Meltem’s
swift recovery
on that tormented day.

Still being pregnant
is no patient joke.
After first three months
improvement offers hope.
Then stomach settles
expectations soar.
Confidence increases
nearer hour we bore.
