Sage Recollects After Meeting

He was a great man a strong
man, tireless in his fabled strength.
The greatest healer from a people
known for their wild men of healing.

It seemed a great sorrow
was upon him always
near about him manifest.

As if he looked into guilty,
human heart as if through a child.
Giving compassion
despite what he found within.
Though a great joy of expectation
always radiated his presence
shone in his far-seeing eyes.

No fever no withered limb
had power before him.
He took broken links
of sinful body, those rusted or lost.
None held a mystery.
Knowing original pattern of design
created it whole in an instants touch.
Yet it was rebellious mind he would address,
for divine will of an unknown God
prophetic future he would foretell.

Sealed doors were his to open
dead arise at his word
with greater life than life itself.
A mystery. The body,
the mind, a weight of sin.
Three he healed as one.

I have heard of many great men
but he rose above all I knew of.
He was touched of the unknown God.
Spoke truth, his words are
can never be buried, sleep
be covered fully by age’s dust.
Buried as great treasure in hidden places
by those who should till the field.

Light of truth shines through affixed seals.
Never will his echo fall into silence.
Speaking of his Apostles how
could they not be such,
when they walked for a moment
in present living likeness of God?

A sage remembers his first encounter with Jesus of Nazareth in the Galilee at the start of his ministry.

At The Pool Of Bethesda

I've been lying here another year
feeling all alone in my great fear.
Perhaps this time? You can never tell
Maybe it's my turn to be made well.

What's the commotion that I can hear?
Why is this man coming over here?
Look He is heading towards my way.
What is this that I've just heard him say?

'Do you want healing? ', To me He said
'Arise, walk now and take up your bed.'
Is this true and can this really be?
Is this great man really healing me?

Then entering this body of mine
came wondrous healing from the Divine.
No angel required, no water stirred
just from this man the commanding word.

Limbs for years that were lifeless and dead
became alive at the words He said.
Then I stood up to my great delight
and others saw the amazing sight.

The leaders said 'This should never be.'
For on the Sabbath He had healed me.
I did not know His wonderful name
this great man who to Bethesda came.

Then I went to the temple to pray
and met Him again I'm glad to say.
Found out His name as He said to me
'Stop sinning or much worse things will be.'

Back to the leaders I went to tell
that it was Jesus who'd made me well.
Why me? I can never really say
but I'm so glad that he healed that day.

The Mystery Of The Mystery

There are so many things that I dont understand
And I search my mind to try to find an answer
But the more I search the less I seem to find out why
Like where where the wind goes, how does life begin
What happens when we die
The mystery of the mystery must stay unknown
Only God can know and man must not see
Great minds have tried but they will not find
The answer to the mystery of the mystery
Man will seek the mystic rails of the mystery
But their silent halls reveal not a sound
Many men will give their lives just to try to find
The answer to a mystery in their mind
The mystery of the mystery must stay unknown
Only God can know and man must not see
Great minds have tried but they will not find
The answer to the mystery of the mystery

What We Are

Though various speculations
concerning our origins have
given birth to many names in many lands

what we are cannot fully be said
we are the spirit of life's great mystery
shared identity of immortality

truth love light and beauty
the darkness the wind and the shadows

we are the sum of all life's great treasures
attached to the price tag of the human heart

These Shoes

These shoes have walked a million miles
with the souls of men
who will never see
the sun rise again.
They walked beside great armies
as they rose to fight
in foreign far away lands.
These shoes saw the birth of nations
near and far
and the death of a child
that touch many hearts dear.
They watched great cities rise
and then crumble to dust.
These shoes that have walked a million miles
and then back again.
Though great have come and gone
these shoes still walk on
looking for life’s freedom be
within the soul of men.
They have observed many great things
on their journey
but the greatest treasure
that they sought
these shoes have yet to find..

The Great Mystery

Death, you are the great mystery.
You defy all that we are.
You've been given too much power
as if you were the star.

But you're nothing more than a passing
that prepares us for new birth.
You never were a shining star.
You just sever us from the earth.

Death you're not the great mystery.
You are nothing to be feared.
You come and go just like the wind
and take those who are endeared.

So step down. Take the the back seat.
Give up your scareful throne.
For the greatest mystery that we have
is releasing fear of the unknown.

Samson (cavatina)

Hidden, broken into but sheer darkness
was his own sight,
his great power had suddenly left him,
in a great fright
his life had dwindled to nothingness,
if only light
could shine again, he prayed for great strength;
rose up powerful, came back to his length…

Corporate Worship

Most Believers gather corporately, to worship The Eternal Creator,
The Lamb of God from Calvary, The Lord our God and our Savior;
Believers are filled by God's Word, to guide us all through this life,
As we're led, by all we have heard, from the words of Jesus Christ.

We too are filled with Christ's Spirit, as He dwells within our hearts,
Moved in Truth, this as we hear it, as Truth to us His Spirit imparts;
And so we worship God in Truth; Words of Truth from God above,
With our life as His living proof, when we display a Christ like love.

All God's people worship in liberty, being freed through the blood,
From the rugged cross of Calvary, controlled by the Spirit of God;
We must worship in full unity, as Christ's Body, through New Birth,
Worshiping The God of Eternity, as God's Church, upon this earth.

Believers value the Church's history, the people of God in the past,
As we journey forward to eternity, a time for all that will forever last;
Believers value God's present ways, as we worship Christ together,
Lifting up to The Lord our praise, till one day we praise Him forever.

Indeed we value all people of God, together, for one Great Mission,
Believers across this earth we trod, fulfilling His Great Commission;
So we gather as God's people, remembering God's Great Sacrifice,
Moving beyond church and steeple, to bring others to Jesus Christ.

Undiscovered Soul

R.sambora
She was standing at the station
Small town suitcase in her hand
There were dreams she found inside her
That no one cared to understand
She never talks about her childhood
So much past to leave behind
Shes so scared to go
But still she says goodbye.
When you walk that road
You walk alone
Just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
When you only hope
Is to find a home
Just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
In the great unknown.
Born and raised in poverty
Daddy died when he was young
All the fears that raged inside him
His spirit need to overcome
Each day he tears down the reflection
Of who he used to be
And with a little luck
Hell rise eventually.
When you walk that road
When you walk alone
Just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
When you only hope
Is to find a home
Just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
The great unknown.
Solo
In the search of our salvation
Relentlessly we climb
Just looking for a reason
In creations grand design
If patience is a virtue
Then let us humbly begin
Well be here waiting
til our ship comes sailing in.
When you walk that road
We walk alone
Just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
When you only hope
Is to find a home
Youre just an undiscovered soul
In the great unknown
The great unknown
The great unknown
Dont want to walk through life
And undiscovered soul.
Searching for the road
Looking for a home
In the great unknown
Dont want to walk through life
An undiscovered soul
Searching for a home
Looking for a road
In the great unknown
Dont want to walk through life
An undiscovered soul
Patience, virtue, identify, soul

On That Cross

Light swallows darkness
Like a candle in a room
Truth always uncovers
And both remove the gloom
Where life before was empty
And Hope was hard to find
Light from Jesus sets you free
Trust Him with heart and mind.

As one of those in prison
Held by pain and by sorrow
Wracked in anger that goes on
I had no Peace and no tomorrow
When to Jesus at last I cried
With His great Love He healed me
On that Cross for me He died
My sins forgiven, I was free!

Jesus is the only Answer
And the Healer of all our pain
He alone is our Redeemer
In Him we're never lost again
The peace He gives is never ending
His grace sufficiently He gives
He ever lives and interceding
For all who trust, in Him believe.

Unconventional...

it will not start with the usual
hello
well goodbye is another usual word
people use it every moment
sometimes even
permanently convenient

some start it well with a
'tell me the story' or
'tell me the truth and nothing but the truth
then we perhaps
can help you'

others don't. They do not start it all,
you start it, that is their demand
you must be the first one to open up
like a parachute
like a child's inquisitive mind that
always asks about the moon
why it is round
basics, you know

others are unconventional.
no word at all. plain touch, sometimes no touch even.
they pretend they don't mind.
or honestly, they do not mind at all
because they also have their own
battles.

sometimes, i like it this way.
silence. closing of the eyes.
relaxing on a beach king of david thing
letting people have their own choices.
letting events take their own due course.
like a compass pointing to its own direction.

sometimes i want to break the compass.
what is it to be lost and still be strong?
no fears, no hang-ups
no pent up emotions.

back to silence. sea breeze caressing my body.
leaves falling softly on the sand.
waves monotonous on the shore
hypnotic.

Something More Than This

With man's endeavours however great or small
there's an underlying meaning behind them all.
What appears sometimes to be useless not making much sense
is very often the start of one's labour and cost of some expense.
Everything has some value depending on what it's used for
and regardless of what it is, there's potential in it to be sure.

Man's mind is a great instrument which no one can deny
a vast storehouse of many ideas into which he does pry.
Some people seem to have the knack of accomplishing their ends
which is usually after the exerting of much effort one comprehends.
Analysing the steps to be taken in the direction they need to go
taking one step at a time brings the goal closer to them you know.

Overcoming their own inertia is one of the main obstacles faced along the way
and by visualising in their mind's eye a picture of the goal is all they have to pay.
Learning by experience is the most rewarding and the best course to take
with the skilful loving help of a true teacher much progress one can make.
Possessing the ears by which to listen and the eyes by which to see
and holding onto that ideal set before them realise what they can be.

There is something else more than this which is there all the time
it's only after we clear our minds of that which is gathered grime
we'll see that which is really there as the integral part of our being,
everything else is a hindrance until we realise the truth in daily living.
And then everything is made plain enough for each one's eyes to behold
becoming as if new again regardless of what it does appear as or how old.

It is somewhat like another rebirth within the same body and mind
that have both been revitalised and given a new lease of life in kind.
The secret of life is the truth, hidden within our being of our existence
and is the reality behind all this we have created for our subsistence.
So everything has come forth from us, out of our being we've brought all this
yet the greatest treasure still lies deep within, the source and essence of bliss.

Who Is Truly Great?

Great is one who humbles oneself;
Great is one who accomplishes without expectations;
Great is one who labors for others’ welfare;
Great is one who struggles for a noble cause;
Great is one who gives his life for his Maker’s sake;
Great is one who sacrifices his precious life for truth’s sake;
Great is one who takes the road least taken;
Great is one who climbs life’s steep hills;
Great is one who treads dangerous paths for mankind’s progress;
Great is one who risks his life unduly to save others’ lives;
Great is one who although born or made handicapped does extra-ordinary feats;
Great is one who scales heights of achievements rarely done by others;
Great is one who toils in sleep-hours too for mankind’s upliftment;
Great is one who racks his brain to find a cure for a crippling disease;
Great is one who shuns selfishness for the cause of his poorer brethren;
Great is one who dies so that others can live in peace;
Great is one who lives not for oneself but others;
Great is one who loves and forgives his worst foe;
Great is one who leads life in accordance with the Word of God!

The New Word

the great word of blessendness
and a feeling of ease
a cup of the well of freedom
and life we joyfully drink
inside, all was new, but outwards
nothing had changed
an escapade,
then to the altar to
evaluate all parts
of the great mystery
but all remains
on the same spot,
no signs of a new season
in my hand is a new word,
but the word is still
without a body
a hidden life-stream that
swells in the deep
will soon give the word
a 2nd face

Confidence And Conviction

Confidence in God at the start, puts conviction into your heart,
Conviction to stand high for Him, in this darkened world of sin,
Conviction to help us be strong, in a time where right is wrong,
To speak Truths of The Lord, in a world, where God is ignored.

You must determine in your heart, from Christ, to never depart.
Determined to live for Jesus Christ, wherever we are in this life,
We need to live out God’s plan, to be His Light, for every man,
A plan based on His Holy Word, to witness until all have heard.

Until all people hear and see, The Truth of The God of Eternity,
Not only in the words we talk, but, His Truth in the way we walk,
As God’s Word colors our life, to faithfully follow Jesus Christ,
Who sent us on His Mission, that being The Great Commission.

To fulfill The Great Commission, men need a strong conviction,
Not a conviction that is for us, but desire to serve Christ Jesus,
With a purpose and a desire, from a source that’s much higher,
From The Holy Spirit of God, guiding us on every path we trod.

Christ told us He won’t depart, with this confidence in our heart,
We can be faithful in any place, in The Lord’s Power and Grace,
As Christ’s Spirit gives us power, to be light in the darkest hour,
Being God’s light in this world, with His Eternal Truths to herald.

A Disciple of Christ

When you cleave onto God’s Word, the Truth of God that you heard,
And choose to follow Jesus Christ, allowing God’s Word into your life,
You then become a disciple of, The Lord and Savior and God above.
Only in Christ, are men truly free, with a freedom that spans Eternity.
It is a freedom which begins inside, when in Jesus Christ you abide.

In God’s Word is revealed proof, that Jesus Christ is the Living Truth.
Knowing this Truth sets men free; that is sinful men like you and me,
From the bondage we’re now in, the hidden bondage that we call sin.
As this Truth you’ve come to know, within your heart begins to grow,
You dear friend indeed will find, frees both your heart and your mind.

You will know just why Christ came, and endured the cross of shame,
With The Truth you can reason why, our Lord Jesus Christ had to die.
Friend, every heart that Christ frees, The Lord above fills with peace,
And His Truth supplies the Light, to lead you out of the darkest night.
Because this Truth is The Light, it’s the only way that’s eternally right.

The Way, the Truth and Life is but one, Jesus Christ, God’s Only Son.
This Truth my friend is Jesus Christ, Truth which leads to Eternal Life.
That is why only Christ can say; He is The Truth, The Light and Way.
Today embrace The Word of God; Truth will guide the path you trod,
Make His Word a part of your life, and you will be a disciple of Christ.

The Great Encounter

Fifteen minutes ago I was away,
Fourten minutes ago I was near,
I couldnt see the pictures clear,
Yet the vibrations I could hear,
My heart pounded with fear,
She was pure and ever dear,
It was fate I thought,
It was late I ought,
It was the great encounter

My heart was mud in boat,
Yet my fight was fed and caught,
My eyes did not deceive,
Wearing nice coats on my mind,
Trying to be the sweet guy always,
To please a woman I adore,
She stole my heart in minutes,
I couldnt steal her time even seconds,
My lost thoughts I thought she found,
Flowers and thorns, me and her
I met a friend, I cherished a friend
The great time, the great encounter

With linen shorts on resorts,
The wishes of a wondering man,
Hoping and waiting for the moment,
So long entrusted in the future,
Forged in the heart of a willing heart,
She never felt the same,
The thoughts of parallel minds,
Black and white, the art of a zebra
Mixed reactions and reacting mixtures,
Hoping and hoping, im waiting for you
The great encounter, so great in deed

The mirror showed me the visions,
Behind me you fashioned a foundation
Being a friend, texts without presence,
Avoiding clean with reasons,
It was pride, I knew it
She was clear, she proved it
Time will tell, but it might fail,
Waiting upon thee,
The great encounter

Silence Is...

Silence is an absence
Silence is profound
Silence is a conversation
Being had without sound
Silence is an expression
One that cannot be heard
Silence cannot be spoken
Although it is a word
Silence is a presence
Of great nothingness
Silence can be something
And yet cease to exist
Silence can fill a room
And have no mass at all
Silence cannot be dropped, yet it can fall
Silence is a mystery
That will forever go unsolved
Silence is how every sound can swiftly be dissolved
Silence is the sound of rest
The only sound that can sound best
While other sounds can cause great pain
Silence is not the sound to blame
For Silence is what silence is
Something that is nothing
Nothing that exists

A Buddha's Last Prayer

may every breath i breathe,
help relieve the suffering
of the many...
may every step i take,
be on the path of truth.
may my eyes see myself
in all living beings,
may my heart do the work
that compassion demands.
may i feel every tear,
every hurt, every need.
may i touch with sacred hands.
may my body be a bridge,
and my spirit healing ointment.
may my words fall like rain
on the desert of need.
may i give without hesitation,
and without expectation.
may i grasp the hand that needs help,
and let go of all else.
may my life be both prayer,
and the much needed answer.
may my identity be both lost
and found in all living beings!
