Night Spiders Crawling
night spiders
crawling
crawling through
mind
encased
in black
satin
webs
deep
sleep
tra pped
drained
tread encased
in raw exhaustion
stung spun webs

To An Ex....
what we told them that we did
was all those games of catching spiders
rested in their spun webs on the trees
beside the mountain river
we we really did they knew so well
but how can we ever ever tell?
that what they knew was not all that happened
as it was something else more that what spiders are
on their transparent
webs of illusions upon those trees
that in the first place
never existed
what we had were more than words
and thoughts
and so how can we ever tell ourselves
truly
that we have already forgotten?

Spiders In The Night
Spiders in the night
Creeping round the walls
Now you'll feel him
Crawling over you
Creepy crawly things
Filling up your bed
Soon you'll feel him
Crawling through your brains
You think he's there
Beware his bite
But when you look
The spider's not in sight
Spiders reappear
Taking peoples names
Everything is taken down insane
There's no way out
And there's no key
But here's a clue
The spider's really me
You're written in his book
The spider won't forget
You won't forget
The spiders in the night
The end is going night
Itsy witsy friends
The spiders disappearing from the night
You think he's gone
You think he's dead
There's no escape
The spiders in your head
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night

Iron And Silk
Iron keeps dirty habits when united,
Followers of the metal shall be rewarded;
The contestant proves his worth,
After the judges and the judgement,
Before this nothing has a present.
Anarchy is housed by the intellectuals,
Intelligently the rules are spoken
And their moods are represented
By the organizations of the spiders.
Crawling about, sneaking towards
Their goal, and lifting their webs,
A reality has emerged of mounting
Pressure, often the windows are open.
Thoughts of the evening weave
Their ways towards the horizon,
But spiders wrongly imagine our
Difficulties.
Their iron is their silk, and we have strong
Iron, that wields not being spun,
Forever the roses have been in our wreaths,
And eternally the spots on the face
Are ignited.

Amber
A Prehistoric Dragon Fly
Encased in amber, on display
Caught my eye as I passed it by
in the museum yesterday.
Encased in amber, as if time
itself was stopped and held at bay.
You will never know decay
Or another summer's day.
You in amber, me in time
Both are trapped and on display.
You in resin are enshrined,
while I am seen encased in rhyme.

Nicklin’s Torment
I woke up in a cold sweat
and turned on the light.
A shadow was moving over me,
cast by a spider of the night.
By the time I’d blinked
it’d vanished from view,
but then I saw a larger one,
followed by another two.
I closed my eyes for a moment
hoping they would disappear.
When I slowly reopened them
the bedroom was spider clear.
With my hand I mopped my brow
and then saw several more,
they were crawling on the ceiling
and marching across the floor.
I told myself that I was dreaming
or suffering from withdrawal,
but that didn’t stop the spiders
from crawling up the wall.
Sweat dripping from my brow
was stinging in my eyes.
Spiders were now on my bed
at my feet and on my thighs.
The whole room was full of spiders,
on the ceiling, walls, and floor.
My bed was covered and so was I.
I screamed stop! But out came even more.
Spiders crawling on top of spiders,
in my mouth, nose and ears,
their scary eyes staring into mine,
I was choking with utter fear.
I tried in vain to fight them off,
but my hand didn’t move a one.
I must have blacked out just then,
when I awoke they had all gone.
Things are becoming better now
and the spiders are getting less.
I’m told they’ll eventually go for good,
along with my shakes, thirst, and mess.

Crawling Back
(orbison/dees)
Only you and no one else
Can keep me crawling back
You know I cant help myself
And now Im crawling back
After all youve done to me
The times youve turned me down
I still will be your clown
Because I love you
Im crawling back
You know I would die for you
Heaven knows how I have cried for you
But what else can I do
But crawl on back to you, ooh
Crawling back to you
People stop they talk and they stare
But they dont know that you really care
That youre only lonely, and making believe
And you need me around
When the world turns you down
Whenever you might need me
I will come crawling back
Wherever you will lead me
I will come crawling back

Raven Coloured Spiders
Raven coloured spiders
crawl inside my eyes,
fingering my thoughts,
with their black, extended legs....
Searching for a mind
a mind full of webs, confusion and emptiness.

The Creature Crawling
The creature crawling don't know when he'll arrive
Don't know if creature is dead or alive
All of god's creatures have the will to survive
Did you know about that ?
Did you know about all that ?
The creature crawling
The creature crawling
The creature crawling and he's coming up the road
He's crawling over to your area code
Crawling through the grass of your little abode
Did you know about that ?
Did you know about that ?
Did you know about all that ?
Whatcha gonna say ?
Whatcha gonna do ?
What goes around it comes around
One fine day
Look around
There will be nothing but you

No, No I'm No Ovid!
A useless space between the sentences,
ghastly story does not end in black and white.
Again the heart cries.
I keep on knocking on the doors
and then return to blackness.
Sometimes people become insects.
Cockroaches, ants and spiders,
weaving their webs and hills,
crawling, creeping, clawing.
Flesh eaters. Pouncing upon hapless victims.
Depression. I am devastated.
Something churns in breast, dousing the spirit, lines and words.
Cannot sit quiet. Agoraphobia. Don’t want to talk.
Somewhere a name crops up. Saint or beast.
Under the trees there is no shade. I walk barefoot.
Hungry dogs chasing the flies.
Humidity fills the eyes.
Silence of the night.
City has stopped running.
All the dead will speak now.
Not asking any revenge,
but peace for the living people.

Park
Muddy steps of raven's heads
Fasting of mould bread
crawling, like wood worms of storm
Hunted by passes of moon golden rocks.
Not here yet, but dear so.
I hide myself, and my hollow wealth of tarragon flavor.
Where new-born flowers hatching, in the womb of my eye's
mother's grass warm sun.
Like arms holding life,
webs of branches' tree,
Hide spiders' leafs, caught in the opening light
dazzles fading flies.

Tangled Up In Love
You know the cards are stacked against this
As we surrender our defenses
And I've torn down all my fences just for you
And you feel it too
What do we do
Do we run or see it through
The longer we're together
It just keeps gettin' better
And you hide your little love letters
Around the house for me
And it's plain to see
That you'll always be all I'll ever need
The webs we spun
Wove into one
And left us tangled up in love
You squeeze my hand I understand
About a woman and a man
I love the way you make me feel
You got me tangled up in love
The webs we spun
Wove into one
Left us tangled up in love
(Repeat Chorus)

The more you’re asking for repose
The more you’re asking for repose,
The more you fear, the more you fear.
The fog is creeping from the fields,
The fog is crawling in your chest.
Sink in the velvet of the night…
Forget the former life you’ve had,
Forget the future life ahead…
The fog is crawling right behind…
One thing in mind –
To sleep, to sleep…
But someone
Terminates your rest.

Future Wash
I quivering quiet voice
crawling through your mind
I quilt quiet voice
crawling creeping midnight mind.
Crawling treacle trash empty
intermittent spaces reeking rime
unease as frost front echoes
empty bubbling boiling brine.
Turbulent night echoes echoes
echoes answer echo endless.

Crawling To The U. S. A.
I thought I would go to the sea and shrink down very tiny
And slide inside the telephone wire that runs under the briny
Till I found there is a way of crawling to the u.s.a.
You had better not go too far
Theres one way out, theres only one way
Leave your mother and your father
Crawling to the u.s.a.
Saw it late one night on a secret channel
Its farther on along the tunnel
Its way beyond the final station
Thats the one they never mention
You had better not go too far
Theres one way out, theres only one way
Leave your mother and your father
Crawling to the u.s.a.
You dont have to pay them that much
You had better bring your lunch
Its undercover, around the houses
Up your skirt and down your trousers
You had better not go too far
Theres one way out, theres only one way
Leave your mother and your father
Crawling to the u.s.a.
She said, I catch you taking liberties and they do not impress me
Attach me to your credit card and then you can undress me
Everybody is on their knees except the russians and the chinese
You had better not go too far
Theres one way out, theres only one way
Leave your mother and your father
Crawling to the u.s.a.

Wavering Ways
I am as an ant
walking webs
sealing
symmetrical time.
As an ant
seeking searching
out safe
routes home.
With all
yet only
power determination
ability
of an ant.
Conceptualized
concentrated
within an
anaestheticised
anxious ant.
Walking webs
wreath wrestling
weave spun
wavering ways.
Maybe we in
frenzy urgency
will journey back.
In welcoming time.
We
are
spread
far
so thinly
those
with wonder
chime
filled
minds.

The Web
Two old spinsters
Sitting in the barn,
One used candlewick
The other used yarn,
One wore a bonnet
With a white lace trim,
The other bobbed her hair
With a dragonfly pin.
They spun and they spun
‘Til the bobbins were full,
They'd squeeze out the knots
Put a twist in the wool,
They spun through the day
And on through the night
And glared at each other
If it didn't look right.
While up in the beams
Of the barn overhead
Two spinsters were spinning out
A gossamer thread,
They stared on down
With their little black eyes
And they spun round the bonnet
And the red dragonfly.
The webs floated down
Were glued to each face
With the spinsters spinning
At a frantic pace.
The wheels stopped spinning
With a sudden click-clack
As the spinsters stared
At those eyes, so black.
As the next day dawned
They came to the barn,
The men and the children
Of that little old farm,
The spinsters were spun
In a giant cobweb,
As they sat, eyes staring -
They were stone cold dead!

The mind cannot support moral chaos for long. Men are under as strong a compulsion to invent an ethical setting for their behavior as spiders are to weave themselves webs.
