when harmony in atmosphere attains mellow light

Inside and Back Out

A forest encircles the lawn,
the lawn encircles sheets of English ivy,
the ivy encircles the walls of a house,
the house encircles its furnishings,
the furniture encircles a family
the family sits on the furniture,
the furniture completes the house,
the house is cuddled by walls,
the walls are warmed by English ivy,
the ivy loathes the horizontal lawn,
the lawn pines to be a forest.

You Only Need The Heart The Soul

to be a poet
(what they think is needed is the
discipline to fully master the craft)
one needs (however)
only the heart
the soul, the rest when summoned
properly
comes without much
hesitation, for in time, when you are
true and faithful
words come like servants
and arrange themselves like furniture
the chairs walk in
to form the dining set
with the center table
the curtains hang themselves
on window borders
to form a frame
a perfect perspective
to view the sea
of art.

Transatlantic Drawl

I was born for your magazines
For your magazines
I am trapped in the society page
Of your magazines
Of your magazines
I don't know what it means

Do you see light at the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?
Do you see light at the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?
At the end of the tunnel?

Magazines

you see them everywhere
you know those magazines
yeah I've bought a few
they show you everything

so many news stands
as I'm passing by
but rows and rows of you
are bound to catch my eye

now everyone can gaze upon your body
its good for you - I guess you have no shame
I never knew if how I acted
would make you seek revenge
and now I know
and you're in magazines

but is it really you
in the empty world
I shouldn't be surprised
you're an ambitious girl

with all that naked skin as sweet as honey
Maybe you just really needed money
I wondered if I would be punished for
my voyeuristic pleasure

and now I know
and you're in magazines
and now I know
and you're in magazines
now I know

I tear through pages
of every kind of pose
but its not really you I see
when I look real close
no you're a little bit different
you're a little bit different
you're a little bit different

and now I know
and you're in magazines
now I know
and you're in magazines
I'm alone
and you're in magazines
so it never was you
no

Brotherhood...
All around - sweet brotherhood
No more us and them -
Oneness
No more politics or denominations
Brotherhood
No more war, violence, or pain
Compassion
In brotherhood, well find
Joy..............dynamism
Sweetness......softness
Soulfulness....dignity
Tranquility.....serenity
Harmony.......perfection

One Second Behind(for Junie)

Memory takes
the chair

places it perfectly
in mid-air

yet erases the stair
that brings me there

forgets to sketch in
the rest of the house

the storm is placed
just outside the window

(just as it was)

livid with lightning
the voice of the thunder

the window appearing
out of nowhere

a wall a little
unsure of itself

appears & disappears.

Memory still holds us
curled up together

the chair's pattern
imprinted on your skin

each one not knowing
where one ends or begins

your voice

creates the story
& I

intently listen
unwilling to miss
a single syllable

the poem written
upon your breath

memory as if obcessed

attempts to recover

what is...lost

puts it back
bit by bit

until it almost
achieves a perfect

fit
but
not

...quite

Death erasing
every scene

as it is
written

memory desperate
to attain a perfection

arrange and re-arrange
it again.

Death always

one second ahead

memory always

one second behind.

Cloud and atmosphere

Clouds appear
In the atmosphere
Atmosphere remained
Uncontaminated by clouds
Clouds is not always present
In the atmosphere
Atmosphere exists
Even when there is no clouds.

There is no clouds
There is atmosphere
There is no atmosphere
There is no clouds
Clouds is atmosphere
Atmosphere is not clouds.

Atmosphere exists in its own beings
Clouds has no separate existence
You are my atmosphere
I'm your cloud
Pray
Make me always clear
And in good use.

Echoes!

The gossip echoes through the hall with no curtain,
Where the essential furniture are not kept for comfort,
In empty space the silent sound echoes a lot, scary a bit,
The more you whisper the wrong; it echoes the wrong, not the right.

When the knowledge furnishings are done,
When the curtains are hung with decorative tie back,
Foundations of carpets are laid on the floor,
The hall gets humbled, what we speak, can be heard clear.

This peach my teacher

This peach
that I’ve just eaten,
been graced by,
been blessed by,
been taught by,
been transformed by…

it’s as if some
Messenger of the Gods
had arrived, stopwatch in hand,
saying, everything holds in perfection
but a little moment -
as William Shakespeare noted:

so I’m going to arrange things so that
as the stopwatch ticks out
ten seconds to that moment,
you’ll reach out your hand to the fruitbowl,
take it, feel its yielding softness under velvet skin,
cut it carefully twice through the poles,
once equatorially… and as it falls apart,
spear one segment; eat…

this peach
was full of what even Rilke
could say no more than, peachness..

it was a living proof of Plato:
its perfection taught me
where essence meets experience,
where actuality meets the ideal of peach;
where a singular perfection speaks of
all perfections; where perfection
leaves from perfection, naught else but perfect…

how could such a perfect thing
have been invented by one
who does not love? Who is not love?
This peach is love itself, and I the worshipper
must needs make of myself a living God
to whom to kneel, to offer praise and gratitude
for all perfection known..

this peach my teacher.

Never Will You Be Forgotten

Just because I have welcomed you,
Into my home.
And I have showered you with hospitality...
You do not have my permission,
To re-arrange my furnishings.

'I thought what I did,
Would make you feel more comfortable! '

I don't want you to have the belief,
You can even repeat what you just said!

Soon...
You will be leaving.
Quickly is my wish.
And soon thereafter when that's done...
Reflect upon my last comments to you.

~There is something that has loosened in your head.
And don't argue with anyone about this.
Invest as much time as you can...
With a 'paid' psychiatrist.
Someone to help rid you from your delusions.
I hope my comments will be helpful? ~

'All you had to say...
Is that you didn't like what I did.
You don't have to get nasty about it? '

This too shall pass.
Trust me.
Keep the faith.

'You don't have to worry about me,
'Ever' coming back here again! '

You will be missed.
But never will you be forgotten.

Love Me - Love My Poetry

I once wrote some poetry - the best,
the finest POETRY
My POETRY came with a capital
"P".
My POETRY was distinguished
POETRY, proper, complete line of
Verse POETRY - honorable,
prehistoric, geographical POETRY
Divine, instinctive, even religious
POETRY -
I sent it to the magazines
The very good magazines
The very best magazines -
They returned it to me every time!
I once wrote some inferior POETRY
Low in style, irregular in measure
POETRY
Undignified, trivial, absurd POETRY
inadequate, mischievous, comic
POETRY
Some stuff like this - A CRIME -
I sent it to the magazines
The very good magazines
The very best magazines

They kept it every time!
Now, I ask of you - my question is
fair and brief - I ask
Of you - your ear I pray and beg you
give -
Shall I write intuitive,
comprehensive, reasoning
POETRY
Specific, Godlike, Capitol
committed POETRY
The sort I think will live?
Or shall I write inferior, very bad
POETRY - the kind that soon is
Dead - and send it to the magazines,
the very good, the best magazines
THAT I MAY LIVE INSTEAD!!!

My Mexican Mellow Moon

to Roger! who will always be my mexican mellow moon

he soothes and cares, he makes me laugh
my mexican mellow moon

he looks after me and cheers while poking my tummy
my mexican mellow moon

he's eccentric and weird, my very good friend
my mexican mellow moon

don't think about leaving, my heart will be broken
my mexican mellow moon

i'll always remember my buddy forever

Muse 2 The Pharaoh

Wanna get lost in the mellow Mellow of my mind
Chop a tree, pay the cost/I rather have a glass of u that's fine
Come on over baby 'round7/Chill in ur favorite chair
U can watch a tape of this mellow afterparty
Macy and Common were there
Besides, u know. it takes. awhile. 4 me. 2 do. my.hair
Come on get lost in the mellow Mellow
Come on get lost in the mellow Mellow
How's that feel?
Where you wanna ear 2nite baby?
I know this dope spot called one another
Or maybe we might swing by the Egg
The perfect place 2 play house
I could smother u/I just might be runnin' lines
There's just so much u can find
In the mellow of my mind
This rainbow psychedelia
Come and get lost in the Mellow
There ain't nothin' 2 b afraid of
Just u and me in the mellow of my mind
I wanna get lost in the composition of u
Learn the rhythm and play only the notes u want me t2
I'm a good learner and once I understand
I'll stand under u and let u show me how u want ur man 2 b
I could dance 4 u- a little comical minuet
If u desire I'll shed my attire
Anything 2 get u wet.
Shower, my flower?/So much 2 do, so little time
So choose wisely and u can find thee/In the Mellow of my mind
Can I sing 2 u while u bring urself 2 joy?
I'll go slow at first, while u quench ur thirst
Wet circles round the toy/While u bring urself 2 joy
As she fell in2 the Sensual Everafter, out of bodyout of mind,
she stroked her hair a hundred times.
And as she fell deeper in2 the hypnotic unwind, he counted his way in2 the suggestive mind.
Planting a seed that bears fruit on the tree,
he said, "repeat after me.repeat after me.repeat after me.1+1+1 is 3",

Probe

Loneliness and it's feeling are terms wide apart
All have had the experience of loneliness
If not time will tell
But its feeling!
It throws open all the doors
Provoking to enter once and for all
Never to return
Yes never to return
The birds, the trees, the wind, the clouds, the sun
The moon, the stars, the stones, the earth, the flowers,
The buildings, the windows, the glass, the table all converse.
They converse of knowledge and wisdom flows

But here the talks are so absurd
They make difficult to converse
Search for harmony
Where to be found?
Feelings are to be aroused as harmony in feelings will be found
Yes the feeling of lonliness
There in isolation harmony resides
Conversation there it trickles down

Thus in crowd one is lonely
Far away from self
Try to feel the lonliness
And then search the self
And then we can converse.
