Diamond Mine

earth salted in diamonds
is better than tears
for fame and for riches
many will dig deep
fabled treasures are lures
fools ever do seek

mining for precious hearts
carries through hard years
mining for precious true love
true wealth eventually it bears

Mining For Coal

(Matraca Berg/Ronnie Samoset)
I've searched the world over all of my life
Just looking for something
To make my love shine
Like a candle that burns in the night
But I came up with nothing
Till I looked in your eyes
Deeper and deeper inside
And all of the treasures
I found in your soul
Was like finding a diamond
When you're mining for coal
I've been a fool for glitter and gold
And women that sparkle shiny and cold
Like a statue carved out of ice
They shimmer like tinsel
On a blue Christmas night
But they never were quite so bright
As all of the treasures
That loving you holds
It's like finding a diamond
When you're mining for coal
I was a miner
And you were a rock in the dust
But you became flawless
When you were you polished by love
And when I found you
I lost all control
I found me a diamond
Just mining for coal

Mining Town

Said you came from a mining town
But they closed the mining down
Said your daddy was a drinker
He had a picture of jesus on his sinker
Maybe i... maybe Im coming for you tonight
This towns only five miles wide
Look everywhere theres a road sign
On tops and places to hide
And cops sit around hungry
Waitin to dine
Maybe i... maybe Im coming for you tonight
Maybe i... maybe Im coming for you tonight
Said you came from a mining town
They closed the mining down
Said your momma was a drinker
She had a picture of jesus on her sink and
Maybe i... maybe Im coming for you tonight
Maybe i... maybe Im coming for you tonight
Maybe i........ baby, Im coming for you tonight.

Precious

Precious little angel
Take a look at what you've done
Well I thought my time was over
But it's only just begun
Precious little angel
You're my own sweet turtle dove
Won't you stay with us for ever
In a bundle full of love
I was lost until you came
Precious little angel
Won't you spread you light on me
I was locked up in the darkness
Now you've come to set me free
I was covered up with sadness
I was drowned in my own tears
I've been cynical and twisted
I've been bitter all these years
I was lost until you came
I was lost until you came
And wouldn't I run a thousand miles
To be with you
And wouldn't I run a thousand miles
To be with you
Precious little angel
Tell me how can it be true
That such a gift from heaven
Has been sent for me and you
Precious little angel
Don't you worry don't you cry
When this bad old world has crumbled
I'll be standing at your side
I was lost until you came

Precious Memories

Those precious memories hidden deep down in my soul
Waiting for those memories to come clear to me and possibly unfold
It is so hard for me to remember my loving father and mother over the years
It hurts me so hard to try to remember my childhood scenes of them because it rarely appears
Those tearful, but precious memories flood deep inside of my heart
I only wish I could remember those precious memories, but they have started to fade and fall apart
Oh, it is hard to remember what was on my life's pathways, I fear that they never will be retold
But I know that those precious memories are still hidden somewhere down within in my soul

The Last Love Song

Precious Family... Dearest Family...
Love's... sweet.... message....I impart....
May loves's.. spirt...pure... and fervid.....
Enter...every... troubled heart.........

Carry there...love's swift conviction....
Turning back...those... tear filled life's....
Precious Family... Dearest Family.....
May love....In our souls.. abide..........

Precious Family.... Dearest family....
I am weak...... but love..is strong..........
Love.. has.....infinite compassion.......
To stem the tides... of pain's.... and wrong's.....

Love keep's... its arms.... around me........
Love keep's..... me... in the narrow.. way......
Precious Family....Dearest family........
Let us never... from love... stray............

Precious Family... Dearest Family....
Love will bind.....those broken.... hearts.....
So let..not sorrows... over.. whelm..us.....
Dry the bitter tears.... that smart.....

Love curbs the winds.. calms the bil....lows
Oh bid.... this angry tempest... cease......
Precious Family.... My Dearest Family
Love gave me... everlasting.....peace.....

One day if my family should ever read this, or if anyone else should?
I want them to know that, only with true love, can we turn back those life's of abuse...! You see abuse has held my family in a prison, that has no bars! No cells! No doors! So....

Maybe one day they will understand
This dream of mine
How great and glorious, love complete
They'll find
For redemption, forgiveness
It is true love's grand design
For when and where
Justice, love and mercy meet.
Its a harmony - So- devine
And fact is
Love is the only dream of mine

So love marks my path and leads my way
For my pains and tears, at every point
Love re-de-fines
To light and life and endless summer days
Love is this dream... of mine....

Tried To Be True

From baby to best with no second test
These little storms destroy you
Here is the fame they promised to give you
Taking the place of my hand now
Well did you try to be true
What separates me from you now
What separates me from you
Did you borrow the soul
The soul that you sell now
What does your conscience tell you
Where are the demons
Of your desires
Why does my love destroy you
I said I tried to be true
What separates me from you now
(what separates me from you now)
I said I tried, tried to be true
What separates me from you now
(what separates me from you now)
What separates me from you
(what separates me from you now)
I think its you now
Tell me where is the fame
Where is the fortune
Where is the world that denies you
Who is to blame
When my heart finally forfeits
To a road that will only misguide you
Well did we try to be true
What separates me from you now
(what separates me from you now)
Oh did we try, try to be true
(what separates me from you now)
(what separates me from you now)
It separates me from you now
(what separates me from you now)
It separates me from you
(what separates me from you now)
Its you
Baby
Yeah I bought my love a hunger
(I tried, tried to be true)
More precious than a stone
(I tried, tried to be true)
(where is the world that denies you)
All these fatal flowers
(I tried, tried to be true)
(where is the world that denies you)
Did I misguide you?
(tried to be true)

True Friendship so Rare!

A true Friendship so special and more than rare
Like the precious gem found not, everywhere
It’s a perfect joy and beauty with good grace.
When a heart is filled with a true friend’s face.
The hand touches you, love and special care.
And soon be the best of friends when in despair.
Makes you smile through all the darkest days...
Plants precious memories in the hearts to stay.
Shares your secret and is always there for you..
With honesty concern to help you make it through!

Ageless Beauty for M lady Ernestine

True beauty lies beneath the skin.
It’s not something for surface show.
A quality which lies within
but others can bask in its glow.

Some beauty fades as years pass by.
No matter how hard you may fight
to hide the signs you can’t deny
True beauty shines through ever bright.

True beauty is not visible
but rather something which you feel.
Something which makes you comfortable
the passing years can never steal.

True beauty thinks of others first
and offers love without reserve.
As a cool drink will quench our thirst
it gives us more than we deserve.

True beauty is a quality
which lasts until the day you die.
A precious gift that’s given free
which no amount of cash can buy.

Beauty is skin deep so they say.
Of mere good looks that is quite true.
Youthful prettiness fades away
but inner beauty still shines through.

Hey There, Mr. Lonely Heart

This song was first released on the one world album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Hey there, mr. lonely heart, if you could find the time
I would like to sit and talk, to see if we could find
The answer to the mystery of love's most precious seed
Is it in a touch or in a kiss or simply in the need
Or is it really love itself that always wants to give
The heart and soul of all of us and everything that lives
Hey there, mr. cold, cold heart, i know i could be wrong
To think that life could be so sweet and love could be so strong
As to gather everyone of us, like one big family
To share with one another all we have and all we see
It's true the deepest part of us is everywhere the same
And that the only differences are really just the names
We can join the children's song and show them that we care
Let them know we're on their side, no matter when or where
We can free their hearts from fear and hunger reconcile
We can give a child a chance and give a child a smile
True love is still the answer, and we are still the way
The gift is in the giving, and in living what we say
And if you have a lonely heart, this song is just for you
To ask for all that you can give and all that you can do
Remember that the mystery of love's most precious seed
Is in the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
It's in the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
Within the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
Within the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
Within the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
Within the heart of all of us, true love is all we need
Within the heart of all of us, true love is all we need

Souls Attracting

To most
Diamonds are precious
To me
You are precious as the stars above
A gift heaven sent
To grace my existence on earth
Even though we may never meet
I know our souls have met before
And that we will meet in the year after
As our friendship decreed
Our souls attracting
Familiar beings
You are the precious star
Winking at me
Before I go to bed

Happiness is understanding that friendship is more precious than mere things, more precious than getting your own way, more precious than being in situations where true principles are not at stake.

Fools Paradise

On the quest / for the holy grail
Try and live / on razors edge
Find a mountain / or cross a valley
Why bother? / its all for sale
True love was in her eyes
Burning truth was on her face
Even thought it was late at night
Saw her once theres no mistake
Now that weve found this precious place . . . .
How do we keep from going crazy now?
My life was leading to this day
Watching the whole thing slip away
Its just a fools paradise
Its just a fools paradise
Its just a fools paradise anyhow
Dirty stains / on brand new linen
Fresh tracks / on virgin snow
Caught a saint / while he was sinning
People scream / what do they know
Turn it off and find religion
Tune it out and find a cause
Get it up and tell the world
Dont stop, dont ever pause
Here in this place from all our dreams
It doesnt seem to make us better now
If it will get us through the night
With all our conscience still intact
Its just a fools paradise . . . (etc.)
Two heads / are better than one . . .
Two hearts / bleed so much more
Serious / but no one laughing
Why run / when you can crawl
(true love around the corner--out of reach, so hard to hold)
My lifes an open letter
Tear it up--and throw it away

Heirlooms

Up in the attic,
Down on my knees.
Lifetimes of boxes,
Timeless to me.
Letters and photographs,
Yellowed with years,
Some bringing laughter,
Some bringing tears.
Time never changes,
The memories, the faces
Of loved ones, who bring to me,
All that I come from,
And all that I live for,
And all that Im going to be.
My precious family
Is more than an heirloom to me.
Wisemen and shepherds,
Down on their knees,
Bringing their treasures
To lay at his feet.
Who was this wonder,
Baby yet king?
Living and dying;
He gave life to me.
Time never changes,
The memory, the moment
His love first pierced through me,
Telling all that I came from,
And all that I live for,
And all that Im going to be.
My precious savior
Is more than an heirloom to me.
My precious jesus
Is more than an heirloom to me.

All Are Precious

Every child’s, a precious one!
Every spouse, a precious one;
Every sibling, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every parent’s, a precious one!
Every student’s, a precious one!
Every teacher, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every worker’s, a precious one!
Every inmate, a precious one;
Every colleague, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every person’s, a precious one!
Every life, a precious one;
Every soul, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

So, take all care of every life,
And don’t take undue risks at all;
Life’s most precious thing on earth;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Mom said

In a deep voice, I heard her speak
son, respect a woman...a woman
young, old, midwife, single or schoolgirls
for life is in their hands.

She ain't a victim of exploitation
neither ATM slot to discard cards
but a gold-mine of treasures
for legends lies in their wombs

Blessings are in their mouths, my son
so do curses
worse are their laments on you
for angels watches their tears day and night.
so son respect a woman.

They have golden hearts, so precious son,
the origin of their love, Oh! Son, true love
and their joy is a robust bolster
the secret of every successful man.

You'll marry someday son
love her from heart not mind
she'll be devoted to you always
and you'll be a happy husband always
a father to my grandchildren
Oh! Son I long for that day.

Mom said.

Precious

(orbison)
You are not just another sweet human
Youre precious, precious to me
You are not just my love for the moment
Youre precious, precious to me
Are you some kind of angel
Who lost your way to a star?
Wonder why, why me?
Dont you even see how wonderful you are?
You are not just someone I can talk with
Youre precious, precious to me
You are not just someone I can talk with
Youre precious, precious to me

True Friend and True Lover

You were always my true friend and also my true lover. I always believed in you and cherished you more than anyone else in this entire world. Nobody else I ever loved more than you. Do not shed your tears since every dropp of it is truly precious. Save your tears by covering them with a smile. You deserve to be happy so always be so. True friend and true lover, forever you will remain of mine.

True Love Takes Time

This song was first released on the one world album. it is the only album it has been released on.
As I travel down the road and search the empty sky
Waiting for the moment when my eyes will see
Many are the memories the mysteries of time
How they dance around and whisper endlessly
Yes Ive travelled down this road before
Where so many men have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that love takes time
It seemed impossible that I could care again
So it seemed I had forgotten how to give
What is this miracle that brings me back my dreams
All at once I can remember how to live
Yes Ive travelled down this road before
Where so many men have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
I have been too much alone for oh so many years
Looking for someone to sing with me
Sweet harmony
My heart is open now and tender to the touch
But there is love enough to heal me in your hands
Ill give you all my nights
All my sun and rainy days
Ill give you all the time it takes to understand
Weve travelled down this road before
Where so many fools have come and gone
But you know it takes time
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
And its so very hard to find
(true love takes time)
You know that true love takes time
(true love takes time)
(true love takes time)
(true love takes time)

True Love Travels On A Gravel Road (Takes 6,7)

How many girls choose cotton dress worlds
When they could have satins and lace
And stand by her man, never once letting shade touch her face
How many hearts could live through all the winters
We've known and still not be cold
True love travels on a gravel road.
Love is a stranger and hearts are in danger
All through streets paved with gold
For true love travels on a gravel road.
Down through the years we've had hard times and tears
But they only helped our love grow
And we'll stay together no matter how strong the wind blows
Not once have I seen your blue eyes filled with envy
Or stray from the one that you hold
Oh true love travels on a gravel road.
Love is a stranger and hearts are in danger
All through streets paved with gold
For true love travels on a gravel road.
Yeah, true love travels on a gravel road. Mmmm
True love travels on a gravel road.
True love travels on a gravel road.
