yellow petals one day transform into white honeycomb
fade into spectral preparation seeds in readiness to roam

dandelion seeds are spun web silk threads of freedom life
carried away by gust breath of wind or child’s puff glow spice

Pipe Song

Care is all stuff:--
Puff! Puff!
To puff is enough:--
Puff! Puff
More musky than snuff,
And warm is a puff:--
Puff! Puff
Here we sit mid our puffs,
Like old lords in their ruffs,
Snug as bears in their muffs:--
Puff! Puff
Then puff, puff, puff,
For care is all stuff,
Puffed off in a puff--
Puff! Puff!

Voices Of The Wind

Wind chimes and tree leaves
Voices of the wind

Bulrushes, birdwings
Rattling roofs of tin

Howling zephyrs, soughing breezes
Atlantic gales, explosive sneezes…

All voices of the wind….

Rattle of windows, Bang of shutters,
Whisper of curtains, puff of summer gusts

Snapping of canvas from towering mastheads
Squeal of windmills as they adjust

Whispered messages from pinions of birds
Flapping of laundered linens

Soft velvety sighs of lover’s words
All voices in languages… of the winds

Childs’ anticipation, breath held deep within
Each inhalation, every exhalation….

Are all voices of the wind

Dark and Deadly

Dark and deadly are these pains that reside in my head,
One falters with chilly winds, the very cool friends,
Then the winds are breezes, more breezes to be bled.

Dust and dirt are elite elements for all the men with a bed,
One seeks misery when there is misery that attends,
Dark and deadly are these pains that reside in my head.

Mighty rivers applaud the taste of the truly bred,
One stays in a whole sea for the corn that defends,
Then the winds are breezes, more breezes to be bled.

When do waters boil? And where are the flowers dead?
One picks up plants forcing the very grand ends,
Dark and deadly are these pains that reside in my head.

The delirious means used by some are to what fed?
One of us mends hearts too fragile, one that bends,
Then the winds are breezes, more breezes to be bled.

A delightful method gains acceptance from those to imbed,
One’s agony seems too fair as the fairest intends,
Dark and deadly are these pains that reside in my head,
Then the winds are breezes, more breezes to be bled.

Gusts Of Wind

Gusts of wind blowing hard
all across the land
across the shores and deserts,
gusts blowing sand.

Sometimes starting as breezes
then building in intensity,
swirling and creating noises
that whistle a symphony.

Catching the sounds of wind chimes
clanging loud and clear,
ringing in many different tones,
tones that you can hear.

These gusts of wind intrigue me.
I wonder how they start?
Sometimes they come so quickly
and then when they depart

I wonder where they've traveled
and have they all died down?
There's stillness in the air now.
No gusts of wind are around.

Seed

Seed
Not perishable
Seed
The ultimate substratum
Of the whole creation.

You are the root cause
Of the entire creation.

You are all pervasive
And in all formed.

You are my seed
You are my root
You are with me
I'm in you.

O my seed
I have no
Other need.

Mr.Puff

My dog Mr.Puff,
Mr. Puff has got the stuff,
He's white and fluffy,
And full of glee,
He's very cute and always happy,

Mr. Puff is a ladies man,
He's a ladies man with a plan,
He goes and sits on the street,
And all the ladies come at his feet,

Mr. Puff knows the game,
He has three females whos owner is the same,
He sleeps with the three every night,
And makes sure to keep them in his sight,

Mr. Puff is a dog many has dreamed of,
Mr. Puff is my dog and he knows he's loved.

Life’s Cycle

A gasp of air was sent from above
and was carried further on the wings of a dove.
A gust of wind carried it on to its intended place
where an intake of breath gave a life its first taste.

This first breath known as a life giving spirit
stays with a soul until it reaches life’s limit.
From there it’s returned from whence it came
to be rejuvenated and sent to a new life again.

A Lost Idea

Last night I had a dream that I was a lost idea
being carried in the thoughts of a bird.
We soared above the snow capped mountains
to where a sound has never been heard.

Soaring ever higher we had left the day,
but below us we could still see the light.
I wondered what I was doing here as an idea,
and what was the purpose of this bird’s flight.

As we struggled in the turbulent high winds
the bird’s thoughts couldn’t hold on to me.
I was captured by the streams of chaotic gusts,
forever held by the winds of eternity.

To countless galaxies we journeyed,
back and forth to the past and beyond.
The tiring wind became a lazy breeze,
which released me from its bond.

A whispering free spirit took hold of me
who knew well its place in time and space.
In its thoughts it carried me for several life times,
then it took me to my conception place.

The roaming free spirit helped me to catch a ride,
on someone’s knowledgeable thought train,
but alas I was to antiquated to be of any use,
so here in the air I remain.

A Child’s Song

WHEN the Child played in Galilee,
He had no wine-clear maple leaves,
No west winds singing of the sea
Over the frosted sheaves;
But with pale myrrh His head was bound
And crowned.

When the Child lived in Nazareth,
He watched the golden anise seed,
With daisies white in the wind's breath,
And hyssop flowering for His need,
While the late crocus from the sod
Flamed for her God.

When the Child dwelt in Palestine,
Over the brooks the willow grew,
Olive and aspen, oak and pine,
Sweet sycamore and yew,
But one dark Tree of all the seven
Stood high as heaven.

Santa Ana Winds

Here in sothern california there is a weather condition known as the
Santa ana winds.
Fire wind oh desert wind
She was born in a desert breeze
And wind her way
Through canyon way
From the desert to the silvery sea
In every direction
See the perfection
And see the san gabriel mountain scene
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
Fill my sails
Oh desert wind
And hold the waves high for me
Then I will come
And test my skill
Where the santa ana winds blow free
In waves of elation
My part of creation
Becoming one with the boundless sea
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
I am the wind
Oh desert wind
On my pilgrimage to the sea
I will prevail
I will not fail
To bring life into humanity
My song is creation
(? ? ? )the nation
Whispering the wisdom and its purity
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes
Santa ana winds keep blowin across my eyes

Morning Glow

Morning glow morning glow
Starts to glimmer when you know
Winds of change are set to blow
And sweep this whole land through
Morning glow is long past due
Morning glow fill the earth
Come on shine far all youre worth
Well be present at the birth
Of all faith looking new
Morning glow is long past due
Oh oh morning glow
Id like to help you grow
You should have started long ago
Morning glow all days long
For we sing tomorrows song
Never knew we could be so strong
But now its very clear
Morning glow is almost here
Oh oh morning glow
Id like to help you grow
We should have started long ago
Morning glow all your life
We can make the new day right
All the bad songs of the night
Will fade into the past
Morning glow is here at last

The Moody Blues 'Arrive' at The Falklands (2003)

When I was young and life was shiny and bright
I'd put on a record and turn out the light
Just to absorb the words that were said
As I lay transfixed on the top of my bed

There were eerie shadows cast into the night
By the little bulb of the stereo light
The fantastic sounds would explode into life
And I'd be gone into heaven without problems and strife

There were many sounds that I liked to play
But one in particular took my breath away
It forged my life with it's wonder and awe
My imagination ran wild, I couldn't believe what I saw

‘To Our Childrens Childrens Children' was the ultimate fuse
An epic created by ‘The Moody Blues'
The creation of life and the mystery of death
Just what is ‘life' like when you've taken your last breath?

Great memories so distant of times long ago
How the years have combined to stifle the glow
The experience of life in the following years
Has dulled the shine and increased the fears

But then one night in the depths of despair
I replayed the epic to fill out the air
Eight thousand miles and thirty years on
The CD ensured that the memories weren't gone

In the dark and alone as I laid down my head
I was transfixed once again on the top of my bed
I saw it again and I let out a grin
As The Moodies sang out - "You gotta make the journey out and in"…

How To Survive The Flood

This life has seemed
like a small grain of hope
washed away upon an
entire ocean of despair.
And yet have never lost
faith in the importance

derived from the lessons
taught during the journey
nor with choice currents
winds seasons of change
nor the timed destinations
which changed realities.

For the embryonic grain
carried was belief in my
changing consciousness.
Purpose in all creation
separated divine imprint
knowing mirror image.

Veil ocean of despair
was a materialistic
world that washed
against affirmation
of potential humility
compassion for others.

I sought to cultivate
in fertile soil within
myself to seed in
others. I believed
that to change self
was to change world.

To improve self
was to improve
an entire world.
I chose to cast
myself upon altar
of our creator God

when I could
offering up
my life energy
as a beacon
of insight to light
illumination

the indifference
with the wonder
that I perceived.
That seekers
might seek
the mystery

written within
the world
and question
creation
and wonder
at the infinite

being which
embodies
cosmic totality.
Thus in seeing
life seeded
in poetic soil

seekers
might
tend that
previous
precious
flower of

unique
creation
that contains
their own
soul which
will germinate

and flower
as shared
essence
of their
own life
coloured

experience
flavoured
being.
I know
a simple
recipe to

make a flower
grow a little
better in any
garden for
as long as
it lives.

Change
improve
yourself
you change
improve
the world.

The Spices

Of the spices of life,
Of the spices of love,
Of the spices of peace,
Of the spices of my mind,
Life in Africa maters to me lot.
Of Black Cumin,
Of Red Peppercorns,
Of Black Mustard,
Of Cayenne Pepper,
Of White Mustard,
Of Mixed Peppercorns,
Of Mahaleb Cherry,
Of Szechuan pepper,
Almost everybody is with a mobile phone in Africa!
But strong alcohol are consumed daily by the majority unemployed.
In Africa,
My mind sits and writes;
Because, life in Africa matters to me a lot.
Of Coriander, Ground Ginger, Fenugreek, Turmeric and Paprika!
Like the struggles daily in Africa for a survival;
But one day, we will get there.

Destiny's Wisdom

....Once.......the winds
Of passion flowed
...Amongst the leaves
On vineyard's row

Touching the vines
With such desire
Fueling the flames
....Of a raging fire
*
*
*
Destiny's wisdom
....Then...rearranged
Those winds of passion
...To winds...of change

A frigid chill
Displaced the old
With angry gusts
....Of bitter cold

Duplicated Dandelion Diversity

what is a dandelion?
upon examination
a mini map mystery
wind reproductive diversity

multiple magnificent
miniaturized flowers
many tiny flight flower arrows
arranged symmetry reality

each tiny flower perceives
forms composite flower head
hundreds of yellow florets
upper layers raised to sky

butter cup yellow bright light
flower heart warms inflorescence
lower layers enlarge spread
curve down bow in symmetry

bright yellow bewitches souls
set off in contrast rich green grass
delights hearts walking grass blades
delights hearts walking green imagery

leaves form a rosette above central taproot
yellow to orange coloured flower heads spread
open in ray stream daytime close sleep night
flower heads mature spherical clocks spy

soon host birth transformations
real flowers wax dandelion blooms
each single flower head floret prepares
each seed stem attached white threads fluffy

cypselae on dandelion clock ticks
matured capitulum await breezes winds
to disperse in wind seed birth rights
hair-like calyx tissue waits above each ovary

each tiny flower has produced a seed
white spectral seed head manifests
design wonder delights child hands
dimensional layers link preflight mystery

seeds produce asexually by apomixes
where without pollination are produced seeds
offspring identical to the parent plants
resulting in offspring identical genetically

mystery mystery raptures in dandelions
strong breezes winds produce dandelion snows
run in fields as expand lift seed parachutes
seed-bearing parachutes create flower destiny
