food prepared served upon the table
a feast for all to freely partake of
or abstain from as it suits your will

To Seek Food
Hunger is to seek food,
Food has one eye and one ear.
The food we abstain from are the heads,
The food is caring over us, and we maintain
Our lives with the food of the day.
Liquors are taken as food,
With a brain too bright,
A table and a cook is required,
Forming my life as a whole.

Taste Of Food
In food is a certain quality of taste,
May they abstain and be erased.
For food manages my godly life,
Just as the fish manage with strife.
In this food, in that food we collapse
And honour a feast with some gaps.
The food we eat as dinner shall be kind
To the sleep we carry throughout the mind.
What food do you cook with expertise?
Fish and meat will certainly cease!

Wisdom's Way
Wisdom is calling souls today, to come to God in Wisdom's way,
While Wisdom sends forth her call, upon this world, to every soul,
For Wisdom has prepared for us, a house built on Righteousness,
Built up with seven pillars strong; being complete for every throng.
Wisdom has prepared her feast, for those with plenty, to the least,
While she has set her table for all, for both the great and the small,
Wisdom has sent out her invitation, to all souls without reservation,
Her invitation for all to come, regardless of where are you are from.
She calls the simple to partake, but foolishness they must forsake,
As wicked ways all must spurn, to come to Wisdom and truly learn,
With wisdom being their selection, they must be open to correction,
Learning from every past mistake, as Wisdom's feast, they partake.
As scoffers come along our way, rejecting what Wisdom has to say.
All filled with arrogance and pride, by them, wisdom shall be denied,
Correcting then in Wisdom's name, brings upon one hurt and shame,
For hate the scoffer will project, toward one who chooses to correct.
Will you today heed Wisdom's call, to seek The Lord Who's over all?
Leaving old ways, that you know, so through Wisdom you can grow,
Changing to a life of Righteousness, this as you follow Christ Jesus,
As Wisdom shall multiply your days; with a long life, to God's praise.

Food On My Table
Come and see the food on my table,
For it is prepared for you and me;
And, i am waiting for you in the room of my love.
Life is full of surprises and i want to show you my love,
And here comes the sun of the morning to touch your heart;
For, it is right for you to be beside me at this table.
The food on my table,
As soon as you receive my letter means that i love you;
For life is full of surprises and i want your love,
So come and let us share this food on my table.

Making A Meal Of It
All our food has got a meaning,
A purpose on the plate
And deserving of the cleaning
So that it's then first rate...
Prepared by experts, it can be
The highlight of our day,
Depending on the recipe,
If we choose to obey...
Consider how the table's laid
With lighting here and there,
No wonder that our prayers are made
Based on this extra care...
So families and sweethearts, too,
Can dine in perfect peace,
As if the perfect thing to do
That sets the mind at ease...
The human brain can't feed itself
With wisdom all day long,
It needs some help to maintain health
So that the body's strong...
And music, too, can play its part
To soothe the savage beast,
To stimulate or calm the heart,
To make a meal a feast...
No wonder, when we search about,
Discernment is the key,
To help us pick our favourites out
From restaurants we see...
And if well served, we go again,
Content they'll get it right,
Reminding us of that time when
We shared a special night...
Yes, food is precious, as we know,
From savoury to sweet,
It helps to keep us on the go,
It makes our lives complete...
But spare a prayer for hungry ones,
Because they need food, too...
God's charities still need your funds...
That's food for thought for you...

Salad is Incompatible with Life
Yes, my waist is fifty inches -
Big for me because I'm short.
And yes, I like my cheddar cheese
When partnered with a vintage port.
Okay, okay, that double cream
Is always served with pud,
And cake and biscuits with my tea
Are just no bloody good
For my poor hardened arteries,
But see my point of view,
Please dear wifey if you please,
A Salad makes me spew!
I'd rather eat a bowl of air
Than crunch away on greens;
Drink water from the toilet bowl
Or nibble on my jeans!
But salad! Are you there?
You know it makes me snappy -
So let me fill my face with grub,
Stay fat, and die young happy!

Feast To Eat And Enjoy
Feast!
So delicious are these offerings,
For only you prepared.
Feast and eat.
Until your heart is contented.
Relax.
And take the weight off your feet.
Unbridled and free,
From each and every discourse presented.
Whether disguised in debated argument or not,
To undermine your dining done.
With purposes to have that stopped.
Feast!
So delicious are these offerings,
For only you prepared.
Be daring and selective,
As it is your wish to nourish...
Upon that which feeds your encouragement.
Feast to eat and enjoy.
Nothing tasted to you presented,
Has been created to disappoint, displease...
Or leave you to become agitated or annoyed.

Spread Like Lilies
come little sparrows
hop about all freely
under my laid tables
daily feast upon crumbs
of this our heavenly
daily bread spread like lilies
of God’s harvest fields
sparrows do not spin or weave
freely feast enjoy stay believe.

The Poor
Out of the farm came the harvest,
And out of the kitchen came the food well prepared;
Then it was set on the table for you to eat,
But do think about the poor when you do have enough.

Don't consider the wealth is eternal!
While the wife feeds
the husband, with love and desire,
the different types of foods
prepared with six tastes;
And he takes only one handful,
leaving the rest untouched,
from the quantity of food prepared,
the remaining food is wasted;
However rich,
he is likely to become poor one day
and beg for food in some other place,
Hence don't consider the wealth is eternal!
(naalatiyaar - aRaththuppaal - selvam nilaiyaamai 1)
Hence don't waste food
and share it with everybody,
Utilise your wealth
for charity!

Part of treatment for drugs and alcohol is you abstain from these, but with eating disorders you can't abstain from food so the treatment is longer than drugs and alcohol.

A Prayer for Thanksgiving,2010
A Prayer for Thanksgiving,2010
Lord, we humbly thank you
For the feast you set before us.
The harvest has been fruitful,
And you preserved us to enjoy it.
The year has been a challenge
for our oldest and our dearest,
but baby Julia’s lately come
with her toothless smiles to cheer us.
Our wives and daughters have prepared
a great Thanks Giving feast.
The places set, the wines been poured.
I’ll gain five pounds at least
We give thanks that we’re together.
Far too often we are not.
With the children off in college
And work keeping us apart.
Inspire us with charity
Towards those who need help living
-Remind us of the best of us
one missing from this table
Who earned Your thanks by giving
all that she was able.

The Ten Percent Gospel or Malachi Syndrome
Tithe, Tithe, Tithe!
Your money give to God
Tithe, Tithe, Tithe!
Will your God you rob?
Mix LAW and FAITH together
And set a precedent,
Mix LAW and FAITH together
But start at ten percent!
For me to tithe? it's not of faith
It's like - not eating ham,
For me to tithe? it's not of faith
Don't make the gospel a sham!
Give Freely, Freely, Freely
For, in the Christ you are made alive,
Give Freely, Freely, Freely
And make His ROOD your tithe! ! !
'Freely you have received, freely give.'
Matthew 10: 7-16; Acts 4: 36,37
(The tithe in Malachi was food, somewhere along the line it's been changed to money, most likely
by 'money hungry' pastors who see themselves a as type of Levitical Priesthood, and live like
parasites off the sheep, the 34th of Ezekiel says it all.)

Diet Coke
I eat to live not live to eat
but I can still enjoy my food.
As I am quite sure I should.
I dine on vegetables and meat
because I know they do me good.
I do not frequent fast food joints
to eat cheese hamburgers and such.
I do not really like them much
Which does not earn me brownie points
from friends with whom I keep in touch.
What suits them does not suit me
They are quite free if they prefer
the food the fast joints can offer
AS for my self I’d rather dine
on wholesome food I get elsewhere.
My friends are mostly overweight
Because they choose convenience
and really cannot see much sense
In eating what I advocate
They see my views as sheer nonsense.
But I am slim and fit while they
are frankly fat and ill at ease
in other words they are obese
and yet they still feast every day
on hamburgers with melted cheese.
Of course they all drink diet coke
a fact that still amuses me.
Although they drink it constantly
I do not think they’d see the joke.
I ‘d rather they were fat than me.

Sunshine Friends
they always come
to my party
and baptisms and weddings
and even funerals
not because
they are happy when i am happy
or sad when i am sad
not that they mourn
or rejoice with me
it is because of the food
served hot on the table
and the drinks
ice-cold
the ice still clinking
some sparkles
and glitter
only for a while

Overweight with Food
Are you just a tub of lard and
Vastly overweight?
Do you think that when you die you'll
Need a piano crate
To act as coffin for your frame? -
Chosen as you die in shame, with
Only you to take the blame
For years of eating much the same:
A daily calorific fest
Gourmands of your ilk digest!
Is your heart in final fling and
Nearly set to burst?
Are your arteries bunged and clogged and
Feeling now the worst
For wear? - your aneurysm fit to blow
While blood as thick as rising dough
Cries 'Halt! ' to any hope of flow:
A dreadful state to put on show
In front of any nurse!
Best you hail a hearse.

Our Native Earth
We do not carry it in lockets on the breast,
And do not cry about it in poems,
It does not wake us from the bitter rest,
And does not seem to us like Eden promised.
In our hearts, we never try to treat
This as a subject for the bargain row,
While being ill, unhappy, spent on it,
We even fail to see it or to know.
Yes, this dirt on the feet suits us fairly,
Yes, this crunch on the teeth suits us just,
And we trample it nightly and daily --
This unmixed and non-structural dust.
But we lay into it and become it alone,
And therefore call this earth so freely -- my own.

Syrup Sponge
Pour a pint of cream
Upon my spongy bulge!
Scoop me with a
Hefty spoon;
Taste my essence -
Do you swoon?
Feed your self-esteem; indulge
In me until you burst -
Death by syrup sponge - you're cursed!
And as the count in inches gain
Upon your weary waist, the strain
Will tell, but you'll not care -
Steeped in sponge, you're unaware!

Simple Pleasure
When the dinner was ready, when I was five,
We sat on the mat in the Hall, half awake,
Varieties of food prepared, served and fed,
The daddies were at the center to watch,
We couldn't laugh and chat while eating,
We shouldn't spill the food on the ground,
We have had unwritten rules,
That has to be strictly obeyed,
Men and the children are in the first list,
Then the women of the house eat and taste,
What they cook, there is a pleasure,
In serving the food to the people we love,
Spoon after spoon, ladle after ladle,
Our love is measured many times,
Many thousand times in our dining halls,
Sometimes we feed our grown up children,
Out of the same bowl, for which,
The women of the houses are mocked,
Simple pleasures such as these,
In life make the living meaningful.
