Once again the thought has crossed my mind,
What have I done to make my life prized?
With the years pass by like grains of sand,
In the end nothing to hold in my hand.
Each year saying good bye,
Demanding myself for the reply,
What have I done to make my life high?
I might not have countless pesos,
But I have a heart with mighty halos.
which always leads me to bonafide aisle,
Asking, do I have to prove myself to all, by drenching my soul in guile?
To which I cautiously compile with all my might such a stile,
Where I will stand strong with no distress among the cloud of blithe.
With the new string of satisfaction I will intend to frame a fresh dream, once again

Hourglass Sand
Through the hourglass
watching
grains of sand falling.
I see time slipping by.
To myself I wonder.
Do we pass with such ease
through the hourglass of life?
Like tiny grains of sand cascading?
When that sand has gone.
Does that mean time has stopped
until I turn the glass over?

Broken..... But Not Tearing Apart
many times in my life..... i've been broken
yet! i persist and stand strong picking up
those scattered broken parts, wishing to hold it
back in my hands
I have to be strong..... though at time i knew
iam weak to hold on, where i always i've stand
making the best stronghold to defend, of what
has been broken
my quest leads me..... to pursue what is beyond

A Tribute to Mr Murphy and the Blue Ribbon Army
All hail to Mr Murphy, he is a hero brave,
That has crossed the mighty Atlantic wave,
For what purpose let me pause and think-
I answer, to warn the people not to taste strong drink.
And, I'm sure, if they take his advice, they never will rue
The day they joined the Blue Ribbon Army in the year 1882;
And I hope to their colours they will always prove true,
And shout, Hurrah ! for Mr Murphy and the Ribbon of Blue.
What is strong drink? Let me think-- I answer 'tis a thing
From whence the majority of evils spring,
And causes many a fireside with boisterous talk to ring,
And leaves behind it a deadly sting.
Some people do say it is good when taken in moderation,
But, when taken to excess, it leads to tribulation,
Also to starvation and loss of reputation,
Likewise your eternal soul's damnation.
The drunkard, he says he can't give it up,
For I must confess temptation's in the cup;
But he wishes to God it was banished from the land,
While he holds the cup in his trembling hand.

No Thanks Is Needed
It is a good feeling
when you help someone in distress,
impart on them the knowledge
that you have gained.
You feel a great satisfaction
and no thanks is needed.
You are doing something
we should all do at times,
holding out our hand and helping another.
Each of us has been given a gift
and it is how we use that gift
which is the important thing.
If we use that gift
to import happiness into someone’s life
making them feel better within themselves.
How wonderful we feel
whenever they smile with satisfaction
knowing they have done something
to make a dream come true.
We need no thanks for this,
as it is what everyone should do.
Holding out a helping hand
no matter how far it has to stretch
and we can then rest on these words.
