Bible Stories: Esther (Part VB)
Esther Brings About the Downfall of Haman:
The King and Haman dined with wine;
The happy King asked Queen Esther,
“Tell me your request, anything! ”
Esther replied, ‘Your majesty,
If I‘m your favorite truly,
O spare my life and my people! ’
“I’ve come to know that we’ve been sold;
Our people will be destroyed soon;
Their property will be seized too;
Our children will be taken slaves;
The foe’s a member of your court! ”
The king asked, “Who dared to do thus? ”
‘Dear King, that evil man’s Haman! ’
Said Esther Queen, in almost tears.
Haman was panic-stricken fast;
The King went into the garden;
Haman was begging for his life;
He threw himself on the Queen’s couch,
And pleaded to be forgiven.
The angry King then asked Haman,
“You want to rape my wife right here? ”
Haman was too shocked to reply.
Just then, a eunuch told the King,
Haman has set a pole ready
For Mordecai who saved your life;
The pole is seventy-five feet high,
And stands right in his very house.
The King said, ‘Hang Haman on it.’
Haman was hung upon that pole
He’d erected for Mordecai;
The King got over his anger!
Then Mordecai took Haman’s place
As Esther was his relative;
King’s signet ring was given him
And Haman’s wealth too went with it.
Then Esther begged the King again,
‘Cancel the order Haman wrote.’
The King replied, ‘How can I bear
To see my people mistreated?
Could I destroy my own people? ’
The King allowed a new order
To save the lives of every Jew!

Bible Stories: Esther (Part II)
The king forgot what Vashti did
And how he had condemned her act;
As planned, he sought to choose a queen
Anew from beautiful virgins!
Mordecai reared a girl, Esther-
A young woman of great beauty.
The daughter of Aminadab,
Brother of his own dear father!
Gai - eunuch in-charge of women,
Had liked Esther specially as
She was the one most favorite!
Esther did not reveal her past
Nor her antecedents to him.
She did as per Gai’s instructions
And lived in the fear of the Lord.
All women were cared for one year,
Before they’re sent to see the king;
Six months’ of oil of myrrh treatment,
Six months’ of perfumes, cosmetics;
And they could go again only
If the king summoned them once more.
It was the turn of Esther then
To go and meet the king one day;
She was the most favored of all
And did what Mordecai told her;
The king fell in love with Esther!
He married her and crowned her queen
In a seven-days’ wine party.
He stopped taking taxes thereaft!

Real Good Looking Boy
When I think back to the
first time in my childhood
When I saw that face
I thought right then,
'That's a real good looking boy.'
I saw myself in the mirror
in profile
for the first time
I thought,
'Hey! That's a real good looking boy'
And I felt then
that I moved
With all those lucky bucks and angels
High in the theatre
In the sky
So I went to my mother
I said,
'Hey mom - take look at me'
Have you ever seen a teen
Fly so high?
That's a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy
She said,
'Son, well, you know,
you're ugly boy.
You don't really look like him.
In this long line
There's been some
real strange genes
You've got 'em all
You've got 'em all
With some extras thrown in
That's a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy
Wise men say
Only fools, only fools rush in
But I - I give in
Falling in love, in love with you
Now I'm here with you little darling
And you say, 'You're beautiful as you are'
And I've managed somehow to survive
You arrived in my life like a fragrance
And helped me find a way to laugh
And I know now so-called beauty lies
God gave him a face
Then he gave me something above
God gave me grace
Then he gave me your sweet, sweet, sweet love
You make me feel like a real good looking boy
I feel like a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy
That's a real good looking boy

When Death to Either shall come
When Death to either shall come,—
I pray it be first to me,—
Be happy as ever at home,
If so, as I wish, it be.
Possess thy heart, my own;
And sing to the child on thy knee,
Or read to thyself alone
The songs that I made for thee.

Lenexa Baptist Church = Esther’s Love
Esther of God’s Bible became a king’s queen
Risking all for the sake of love.
She saved her people form total extinction
By responding to her call from above.
All through history just like Esther
Ladies have pledged to protect and serve.
They love, honor, defend and provide
And it’s our admiration they’ve earned and deserve.
What would life be without a woman’s love
Meaningless, lonely, purposeless and sad.
When your blessed by an Esther love her in return
And be sure to let God know you're thankful and glad.
Real Life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Stop me if you've heard this
It's the one about the King
Who's married to the princess
That brings good use to wear his ring
She's tired and she's lonely
Cause she's sittin there at home
He's out there with his buddies
And you know what they are doin
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Stop me if you've heard this
Yeah the one about the boy
That's wasting all his money
Buying nasty little toys
He Thinks the girlies love it
But this ain't no fairytale
They just want what's in his wallet
Don't pass go just go to jail
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
Mmm bop it's real life
Mmm bop it's just real life
You're never gonna change a thing
So just stop flappin
You're never gonna do with what you cannot see
Mmm bop

Darling I Love You Like A Lily Among The Thorns
Darling I love you with all of my heart and soul
Much more than any of God's blessings on Earth.
It's hard to believe Heaven planned it this way
For your love for me is far beyond my worth.
Life would be meaningless without your love
With no one to cherish, honor, protect and provide.
I treasure our moments and all that we share
You're always my angel of love, at my side.
I love how you love me beyond all compare
I've never seen anyone so wonderful so long.
I can't help but love you absolutely and completely
For every time I think of you my heart sings a song.
Every night before sleep I say thank you to Heaven
For the past day I was allowed to love you and serve.
And if I awake I say thank you once more
For God has blessed me far beyond what I deserve.

LIKE A LILY AMONG THE THORNS
Like a lily among the thorns,
So are you among the rest.
Your love is my joy of life
Which by God's grace is the best.
When I sleep my heart is awake
It is the vice of love within.
By day or night I seek your love
My life mate, my partner, my friend.
You ravish my heart with just one look
When I'm less than you desire.
Your eyes speak without words
As displeasure kindles your fire.
You're beautiful and extraordinary
Like a fragrant flower from the wild.
I dream of the day you softly whisper
'My love, I carry your child.'
The vines put forth their tender grapes
The fig tree her sweet fruit of life.
My love for you is everlasting
As you nourish my need for a wife.
God gave man a woman to adore
And a woman a man to respect.
God gave us children we love till death
To provide for, cherish and protect.
Until its dawn and the shadows flee
I will hold you close and ponder
Our life together past and present
And may our future be blessed by wonder.
Bible Stories: Esther (Part IIIA)
Esther’s Problems:
Mordecai saw Haman’s order;
He walked through the city crying,
Just dressed in sack-cloth and ashes,
Until he reached the royal gates,
To tell Esther and seek her help.
Her eunuchs brought this news to her;
With anguished heart, she sent garments;
But Mordecai refused the clothes;
He gave Haman’s order to her:
‘All Jews would be killed in one day! ’
Haman was second to the king
And sentenced every Jew to death.
Mordecai explained to Hathach
The things that Esther was to do;
She was to pray to God before
She met the king and pleads with him,
To save the lives of all the Jews.
Esther sent the eunuch saying,
She had not been called by the king
For nearly thirty days till then;
One who saw him without summon,
Would be put to death by routine,
Unless the king held his scepter!
But Mordecai reminded her,
Her family will have to die,
And Esther too, a Jew, though queen!
There was no time to wait or plan;
Invoking God’s help, she must start.
Esther told all Jews in Susa
To fast for three days and three nights
And then she went to see the king,
Even if she had to perish!

I Love My Life
Every day I hear the news
Seems like people worship pain
All your oprahs and donahues
They just cant explain
As you reap you shall sow
I looked high I looked low
Now I know that I love my life
I love my life
I said me and my creator
We got a funny love thing
Its happenin now and not later
Yeah, thats why I sing
First came thought then came deed
I got caught now Im freed
All I need is to love my life
I love my life
Time, the topic of the sermon tonight is time
Time, the thief of hope
Time, the ameliorator of all our endeavors
What will we do with time off our backs?
We would make this world a perfect place
We would make our lives a perfect thing, if not for time
But I tell you now, time is an illusion
Time is an illusion, time is not real
Time is the dividing line between what is true and what is not true
Between what is real and what is not real
Between what is so and what is not so
But who, I said who, who stands for time?
Who stands at the threshold of time?
Who decides what is true and what is not true?
We do, you and i
You and I decide what is true and what is not true
What shall be our guiding light?
Happiness, I say happiness
But in a world, I see people in a world of misery
I see a world full of sorrow
Why should we be happy?
Tell me why should we be happy?
We need a message from above
Look over there, look over here
I can see it, there is beauty in the world

Esther, A Sonnet Sequence: LVIII
It might not be. Some things are possible,
And some impossible for even God.
And Esther had no soul which Heaven or Hell
Could touch by joy or soften by the rod.
She could not really love me. The day came,
How soon, how late, I need not to devise,
When passion prayed its last, and only shame
Stood for my portion in a world grown wise,
And I went forth for ever from her sight
Knowing the good and evil. On that day
I did her wrong by anger. Now life's light
Illumines all, and I behold her gay
As I first knew her in my love purblind,
Dear passionate Esther, soulless but how kind!

What others do to me.
This is not in a poem form, but an important message.
When someone hurts me, I gave the reason,
When someone loves me, this is the answer for my behavior.
When someone corrects me, I showed ignorance,
Whatever others do to me, I gave the reason for all.
Can I blame anyone?
No! I can bless and love them with the love of God,
Because everything was necessary to bring out what I am today.
When someone gives me happiness, I can rejoice.
I made him/her happy first.
All happens, because what I see in others, it is in me.
They are mirroring back my hidden ways. If I like it,
good, I can be happy, if not, I have to look into myself
and stop doing those things and the people who
played out those ways will disappear from my life.
There was one time an artifact, a big stone statue,
which had many little statue inside, or the Russian
wooden doll, which has a smaller look alike inside,
that one has a smaller and so on are the good examples.
The meaning is that there are many voices within the one.
We are each of us a separate world. Each individual
is a center with all those people who are in our surroundings.
This is why there are famous sayings, such as, birds of
a feather and people of their friends show who they are.
Who is the nearest plays out for us what we have
inside the most. Sometimes it looks bad, how can us
have that trade in us? However once we know this truth,
it is easier to decide if we want to be like them or not.
Sometimes, someone comes along and show my
'good' side, sometimes the 'bad'. It is my free will to
choose which side I keep in my personality. Once I
choose the trade I disapproved, those people who played
it out will disappear, and the one who have similar
habits, stays.
When parents cannot teach the child anymore and the
child cannot teach the parents that is the time they
go out of each others life. This is the reason for
divorce or one dies. Long time ago couples stayed
together because of the society rules, but neither
of them was happy, they just suffered in all their
life or one of them, the weaker died.
This is how the world goes around, however we have
to know, that everybody is on the way of salvation
toward real peace and real happiness, only we cannot
see it in this moment.
This is the law of life.

A Poem Written While A Grandchild Sleeps
A POEM WRITTEN WHILE A GRANDCHILD SLEEPS
A poem written while a grandchild sleeps
Knows it does not have that much time
Knows it is interrupted
Checking whether or not the eyes are still closed
And the baby still at rest-
Knows it cannot capture the angelic innocence
Of the child's peaceful face-
Knows it will never have words of beauty
Comparable to the calm and happiness
Transmitted to an old man
Who all day in pain
Recovers in these moments
His love of life.
