While the dark night folds around me
I wait on Thee,
who could speak
and sent the storm
back into the sea.
At times I wonder where my love
for Thee started,
or was I made with it,
that Though dark brown eyes
could know the dark depths of my heart
and could touch like no other
and could heal me
and make me completely free from all sin
and I was happy.
With every stroke that the hammer makes
against the cross of wood
and every nail that tears
right through Thy body,
I knew pain

Let me start with one corner
The other corner is wide
In between there’s whole world
The truth, the lies and the skies

I can see it all through the reflection of light
The beauties of it describes
What’s the world with a smile that’s so bright

A Cowboy's Way
Sometimes he gets crazy as men are known to do
He'll lose his head in spite of everything he stands to lose
What is it in a man that makes him act like such a fool
She swears she never knew but always needed to
But stubborn pride is just the way of cowboys i suppose
Even love can't change the things he ought to change the most
And it's pride that keeps him standing when he should be on his knees
Makin' apologies but she loves him desperately
Oh but now and again she wished he'd been a poet
So he'd know all the perfect lines to say
And have some great romantic way to show it
Be the hero ridin' up to save the day
And go ridin' high like a knight in shinin' armor
To sweep her up and carry her away
Oh but he don't have no magic ways to charm her
No cause even love can't change a cowboy's ways
"i love you" and "i'm sorry" are words that just don't come
Cause words like that are no match for the kind that rule his tongue

As I sit at home in my chair
I think of her as she's not there
Remembering the talks that we held
We thought of no one but ourselves.
For a moment as though we were one
Then that moment disappeared and the feeling gone
We smiled and laughed as we sat and talked
So we decided together to go for a walk.
As I walk around a local park
Am all alone and it's after dark
I think of memories that once had been
