I can’t come close

But of course I am not near them either

The Biblical poems have been tried
The poems of cosmic and scientific reflection
I could try to improve them
There are too many different kinds of poems to write
And I cannot write almost all of them

I have written many for a long time now
Perhaps I need to go elsewhere and write in a new way
A way I have not dreamed or even remotely understood possible before.

Faces

A: look around you
What do those faces tell you?
R: faces, joy and pain
A: faces
All around different faces I see
Some are happy, some in misery
They express joy and pain
No two faces are the same.
R: people, people all over town
Some of them are poor and others wear a crown
Ive seen alot of many faces
Joy and pain in different places
Open your mind, set yourself free
Figure it out, what could it be?
Sympathise, understand
Give love and peace to the other fellow man

I could have done other useful things than writing a poem
Sometimes I have regrets writing poems
Love poems, poems about virtue and heroism
Poems that explain myself, that justify
This nothingness
That fill this emptiness,
What are these but signs and metaphors of
My weaknesses,
Symbols of my hopelessness
Ciphers of my uselessness
To life’s dreams, unfulfilled, stars that I have not
Reach or even touch with the words in my lips
I could have danced, and danced so well
Sweat things out shedding sighs and skins on the floors
I could have played a role, acted my way out
Exiting through the doors of author’s characters

Glossed Over To Shine And Gleem
What appeared in my mind,
At one time to have been abstract...
Has long cleared from my vision to obstruct.
No matter how abstract,
Those wishing to keep hidden out of sight those facts.
Hindrances I spent time to quiz,
Have vanished from the attention I had given.
I see now why the picture created had been distorted.
To eliminate those questions truth would support.
Now exported to never import or aborted to deport.
What appeared in my mind,
At one time to have been abstract...
Has long cleared from my vision to obstruct.
To realize there are reasons to confuse,
And corrupt a mind off-track to misguide.
And speeches delivered,
Have nothing to do with what is on exhibit.
Although those who seek glamour...
