Call Time
Call time.
When the Sun goes down
Will I draw the curtains, smiling
or leave them stubbornly open and yearn for another dawn?
When last orders are called
Will I have sent everyone home
or will there be a ' lock in?
When the crickets play their loudest
Will their gently lullaby send me a slumber
or will it torment me and not let me rest?
Will I die alone or surrounded by love?
I hope my time is not called too early!
As much as I hope I am not left, powerless, waiting.

I hope you see what you have done

I hope you realize that family comes first
I hope you see that my smile was rehearsed

I hope you someday grow a heart
I hope someday you will open your heart again
I hope someday its true what tell me
I hope you see, how much your so called love hurts me
I hope you realize, that i really do love you
I hope someday your 'love' will be real
I hope someday you will feel what i feel
I hope you realize that your cut in my heart may not heal
I hope someday you realize that i never stopped loving you
I hope that before its my time your here
I hope you know that right now none of your cuts to me heal
I hoped you would be in my arms now here you are
I hoped you & me would see each other again an here we are

Tell Me That Hope Called
Tell Me That Hope Called
by Alex Lewis
Tell me that Hope called.
Let me know that He rang.
If He didn't, I'd be quite appalled.
I might cry like a swallow sang.
I need a glimpse of peace.
I need a glimpse of light.
Can't you see this is my caprice?
Hope called! (I hope I'm right)
I'm desperate for Hope!
I think I need Him now.
Don't tell me 'no! ' Don't tell me 'nope! '
Tell me 'yes! ' or I'll turn foul!
For if He didn't call,
I might loose this day.
Hope makes me short. Hope makes me tall.
Without hope, before defeat I'll lay

Wake Me Gently
I was scared to death
Afraid to close my eyes
And find that I was gone
Like every other one
Who left before the dawn
I vanished in the air
Am I still there
Wake me gently
If you can Wake me gently
Just touch my hand
Wake me gently
Pull my sleeve
'Cuz where I'm at
Is where I want to leave
And in my sleep
I look so lifeless on this bed
Laid out on satin sheets
This dream's a novel
That I don't dare complete
No happy ending read
I think the hero's dead
Wake me gently
If you can
Wake me gently
Just touch my hand
Wake me gently
Pull my sleeve
'Cuz where I'm at
Is where I want to leave
Me to my slumber
And I'll never come home
Please help me, I'm frightened
Of what's going on
What's going on
And if I can't wake up Will I be all alone
A stranded orphan here
Or will I bump into
Some other wandering soul
And will they talk to me
Somebody, somebody please rescue me
Wake me gently
If you can
Wake me gently
Just touch my hand
Wake me gently
Pull my sleeve
'Cuz where I'm at
Is where I want to leave
I wanna leave
I wanna leave
I wanna wake up
I wanna leave
I don't wanna stay
I wanna leave
I wanna go
I wanna go home
I wanna go home
Just wake me up
I wanna go home
Wake me up please
'Cuz I wanna go home
I wanna go home
Wake me
Wake me

Misconception
Hmm I just called to hear your voice
Can’t hear what you’re saying (because) you’re drowned by the background noise
What? Huh? I can’t hear you speak up a little louder
Damn! Can you hear me now? Is that better?
I called to confess feelings of love for you
But as time goes by our words became few
Now you ain’t saying nothing
Got me here wondering if I’m annoying
Hey I’m out so I guess this is good-bye
No baby way u going or why…
Hmmm all you said was ‘Alright’
I mean what am I suppose to do
Afterwards, then send me a text ‘love you’
I guess that makes everything crystal blue
‘Lost in time, time in you’
We all need our spaces
Trying to figure out all these phases
It’s too much my memory can’t take this
Sitting here trying to erase shit
Misconception is what I’m speaking about
Can’t say what I think can’t think what I’ll do
I’m here clustered with doubts
I mean ‘love you’ that’s all you can say beau
Now my thoughts are going in a different direction
Making sentence from these words compilation
Hoping for no misinterpretations
Looking for misconceptions so I can make my corrections
I called to have a good time
Enjoy the feeling that you are mine
It didn’t happen so I’ll take my leave I hope I wasn’t annoying you
I left because I wasn’t getting what I wanted out of you
Enjoy your day … and oh yeah I love you to.

Love & Kisses
Written by natalie cole
Hmm, talking on the telephone early in the morning dawn, softly singing in your ear
A song that I wrote last night, its so very hard my dear, you are there
And I am here, somehow words I try to say, they just dont seem to sound right
Conversations getting thin and my patience is too, I gotta go Ill call you when
My show is through, oh, hello operator, give me a little more time
In the meantime get my baby on the line, please, in the meantime
Get my baby on that line, Im sending love and kisses on the telphone wire
I hope he gets them in time, hmm, hmm, love and kisses across the pacific
Gonna send them to that baby of mine, yeah, gonna send them to that baby of mine
(how you doing....) sure do miss ya, Id like to kiss ya
(what...) whats that you said my dear, this connections not so clear
But if you said I love you, then you know that I feel the same way
Hope the kids are doing fine, do they still get to school on time
Oh by the way I really miss your face around about supper time
Conversations gettin thin and my patience is too, gotta go
Ill call you when my show is through, Im sending love and kisses
On the telephone wire, I hope he gets them in time
Oh, love and kisses across the pacific, gonna send them to that baby of mine
Hmm, gonna send them to that baby of mine
Oh, love and kisses, ooh, ooh, love and kisses

Hide & Seek
There was a time when there was nothing at al
Nothing at all, just a distant hum
There was a being and he lived on his own
He had no one to talk to, and nothing to do
He drew up the plans, learnt to work with his hands
A million years passed by and his work was done
And his words were these...
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it, hope you find it
Hope you find me in you
So she had built her elaborate home
With its ups and its downs, its rains and its sun
She decided that her work was done, time to have fun
And she found a game to play
Then as part of the game
She completely forgot where shed hidden herself
And she spent the rest of her time
Trying to find the parts
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it, hope you find it
Hope you find me in you
There was a time when there was nothing at all, nothing at all
Just a distant hum

Land Called Hope
Far across the sea of suffering
lies, a land called hope
where our dreams lay sleeping
waiting for our wake up call.
We rise and stretch every morning,
hoping to stretch across that sea
and grasp one of our sleeping dreams
from that land called hope.
Each day we fail to reach it
while it is only inches away,
but our day will come.
Our arms will stretch
far within its shore
and pluck one
of our sleeping dreams
from that land called hope.

Newborn Awakening
Gently they stir, gently rise
The dead are newborn awakening
With ravaged limbs and wet souls
Gently they sigh in rapt funeral amazement
Who called these dead to dance?
Was it the young woman learning to play the ghost song on her baby grand?
Was it the wilderness children?
Was it the ghost God himself, stuttering, cheering, chatting blindly?
I called you up to anoint the earth
I called you to announce sadness falling like burned skin
I called you to wish you well
To glory in self like a new monster
And now I call you to pray

Gently on the Stream of Time
Gently on the stream of time,
We are floating day by day,
In life's native boats sublime
We soon anchor in the bay.
We'll soon anchor in the haven,
Where the weary are at rest,
In that blissful port called Heaven,
Where are roaming now the blest.
CHORUS:
Be gentle, time be gentle with us,
While we are on life's troubled stream,
May life's foaming billows o'er us
Break away as day serene.
Gently on the stream of time,
We will swiftly glide along,
Till we reach the realm divine,
Then we'll join the heavenly throng,
Where our friends have gone before us
Waiting on the other shore.
In that home they sing in chorus,
"Welcome home the rich and poor."
Gently on the stream of time,
We shall shortly pass away,
We shall reach the heavenly clime
If God's commands we obey.
Gently on the stream of time
We are going one by one,
Listening to the evening chime
On life's journey going home.

What In The Name Of Love
Words and music by bill boling, chris deal, and rick wayne
Early morning , and as I rise, you wont even open your eyes.
You used to love this time together.
Now you wont even say goodbye.
With the passin time Ive watched you change.
My love for you still remains the same.
Your love for me used to come so easy.
Now it seldom comes at all.
Chorus:
Could it be were really over?
Has all the lovin gone?
Is it finlly time to face the hurt Ive dreaded for so long.
Tell me what in the name of love have I done wrong?
I hope in time well find a way to bring our lovin back someday.
If your new lifes not what you expected, call and Ill come back home.
I hate to leave but Ive got to go.
Dont ask why; Im sure you know.
Your love for me I cant share with another.
It hurts me so.

This Time Next Year
Written by babyface, david foster, toni braxton
This time next year Ill be home lighting candles
Tryin to just get on with my life...
And this time next year hope Im through
With the hurtin
Tryin to get you out of my mind...
So, dont try to play like youre not that concerned
And dont try to say that your heart doesnt burn
So, tell me
How can you say that our love isnt special?
How can you say
That our love wasnt true?
And how can you say
You can take it or leave it
When Im missing you and you know
Youll be missing me, too?
This time next year Ill be out buying presents
And something will remind me of you...
And this time next year Ill be out having dinner
And run into some friends we both knew...
Oh, dont try to play like you wont be concerned
And dont try to say that your heart doesnt yearn
Oh, tell me
Chorus
Come early christmas morning
Ill be having my coffee and Ill think of you
And the things we used to do
And you know it will be breaking my heart...
cause the holidays are special
It will always play a part
In my heart...
Chorus

Ashtabula Disaster
Air -- "Gently Down the Stream of Time"
Have you heard of the dreadful fate
Of Mr. P. P. Bliss and wife?
Of their death I will relate,
And also others lost their life;
Ashtabula Bridge disaster,
Where so many people died
Without a thought that destruction
Would plunge them 'neath the wheel of tide.
CHORUS:
Swiftly passed the engine's call,
Hastening souls on to death,
Warning not one of them all;
It brought despair right and left.
Among the ruins are many friends,
Crushed to death amidst the roar;
On one thread all may depend,
And hope they've reached the other shore.
P. P. Bliss showed great devotion
To his faithful wife, his pride,
When he saw that she must perish,
He died a martyr by her side.
P. P. Bliss went home above --
Left all friends, earth and fame,
To rest in God's holy love;
Left on earth his work and name.
The people love his work by numbers,
It is read by great and small,
He by it will be remembered,
He has left it for us all.
His good name from time to time
Will rise on land and sea;
It is known in distant climes,
Let it echo wide and free.
One good man among the number,
Found sweet rest in a short time,
His weary soul may sweetly slumber
Within the vale, heaven sublime.
Destruction lay on every side,
Confusion, fire and despair;
No help, no hope, so they died,
Two hundred people over there.
Many ties was there broken,
Many a heart was filled with pain,
Each one left a little token,
For above they live again.

Thieves Like Us
Ive watched your face for a long time
Its always the same
Ive studied the cracks and the wrinkles
You were always so vain
Well, now you live your life like a shadow
In the pouring rain
Oh, its called love
Yes, its called love
Oh, its called love
And it belongs to us
Oh, it dies so quickly
It grows so slowly
But when it dies, it dies for good
Its called love
And it belongs to everyone but us
Ive lived my life in the valleys
Ive lived my life on the hills
Ive lived my life on alcohol
Ive lived my life on pills
But its called love
And it belongs to us
Its called love
And its the only thing thats worth living for
Its called love
And it belongs to us
Its called love
Yes its called love
Oh, love is found in the east and west
But when love is at home, its the best
Love is the cure for every evil
Love is the air that supports the eagle
Its called love
And its so un-cool
Its called love
And somehow its become unmentionable
Its called love
And it belongs to every one of us
Its called love
And it cuts your life like a broken knife

Message In A Bottle
Just cast away and I am lost at sea
Another lonely day and no one here but me
More loneliness than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
I should have known it right from the start
Only hope can keep us together
Love can mend your life but love can break your heart
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning I dont believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore
Seems Im not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways all looking for a home
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Sending out an s.o.s.
(repeats until end)

I Sit And Hope
And hope
hope
that you my love,
doesn't get snatched,
like a chick from the chicken,
stolen away by pradators
That you my dear
will lock the doors in time
when am away,
so the predators,
those coveters
of my sweet fruit,
doesn't eat in my wake
or drink from my cup
My love
i sit hoping,
and hope
That when path is dark
with despair,
when no strength
be left in you,
that you will turn to the light
of our laughter,
and you will bask,
in sun of dreams we share.
I sit and hope
my love,
i sit and hope

No Lullaby
Keep your eyes open and prick up your ears ---
Rehearse your loudest cry.
Theres folk out there who would do you harm
So Ill sing you no lullaby.
Theres a lock on the window; theres a chain on the door:
A big dog in the hall.
But theres dragons and beasties out there in the night
To snatch you if you fall.
So come out fighting with your rattle in hand.
Thrust and parry. light
A match to catch the devils eye. bring
A cross of fire to the fight.
And let no sleep bring false relief
From the tension of the fray.
Come wake the dead with the scream of life.
Do battle with ghosts at play.
Gather your toys at the call-to-arms
And swing your big bear down.
Upon our necks when we come to set
You sleeping safe and sound.
Its as well we tell no lie
To chase the face that cries.
And little birds cant fly
So keep an open eye.
Its as well we tell no lie
So Ill sing you no lullaby.

Goin Home
Midnight on a southern highway
Dont know if Im going the right way
I havent seen a single sign for miles
All this stormy weather
Keeping us from being together
How long has it been since Ive seen your smile
In this tunnel called the night
I can finally see a light
Ive got a burning deep inside
I thought you might understand
Im drivin as fast as I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my family
Goin home
And I hope that theyre still waitin there for me
In the eyes of the legal tender
Youre the one who must surrender
I think they call it responsibility
Im a man in emotion
With only one compulsion
Ive got to follow these dreams inside my heart
Im not looking for a fight
No ones wrong and no ones right
Maybe we all need time apart
So please understand
Im doin the best that I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my sanity
Goin home
And I hope that its still waitin there for me
Solo
I thought youd might understand
Im drivinas fast as I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my family
Goin home
And I hope that theyre still waiting there for me

Early Morning
my mind was thrown to wonder
why early morning chilling
not much of sane men would
wait patiently at closed gate
to open so we can play golf
even caretaker thought same
was it great alibi to go away
from mama before she regain
from her real self and be nice
i don't know, we hurry back
feeling contented to norm
to do it again on weekend
some can only play half
and hurry back to home
love those wives who come
to clubhouse for breakfast
leave for four hours; back
on time, pick their husband
whatever you do on weekends
early mornings away from home?
hope it's helping relationship
you could go fishing, hunting,
running, playing tennis...etc
god bless you and stay healthy

Canary
I learn my name
I write with a number two pencil
I work up to my potential
I earn my meat
I come when called
I jump when you circle the cherry I sing like a good canary
I come when called
I come, thats all
Send it up on fire
Death before dawn
Send it up on fire
Death before dawn
I clean the house
I put all your books in an order
I make up a colorful border
I clean my mouth
Cause froth comes out
Send it up on fire
Death before dawn
Send it up on fire
Death before dawn

Outsider
The many childhood memories that I have
are lonely ones of being an outsider.
I never mixed very well
and was always the last one,
other children wanted to call a friend.
I was a quiet person
who spent much of his time alone
buried deep within his own thoughts.
At classes, I always got the lowest grades,
on vacation I almost always was on my own.
I would sit for hours just pondering on my thoughts.
I never grew out of being an outsider,
different from the rest.
My early life was over shadowed
by younger sister whom my parents adored.
Every achievement that I made
my sister could do it better.
Not only was I an outsider at school,
but also at home a well.
In 1959, I left the shores
of the place I called home
to go back to the place of my birth.
Not until forty-two years later
would, I set foot on that soil again.
Things in the world had changed,
but not so much for me
as I was still a stranger
in the land I called my home.
