The Cloud
The cloud surrounds me.
Unseen, It fills my cells.
Through my fears
it whispers in that deep place
where only whispers can be heard,
where darkness
creases the grey mist
of consciousness.
It shields me
from howling despair
and stays my trembling hand
from sundering
bleak soul
from throbbing heart.
In holy silence
the cloud envelopes my fear
and with lustrous grace
strengthens my will
to persevere.

Where Is My Sunshine?
Darkness and pain surrounds me no sunlight to guide me
Where is my sunshine?
I see others smiling and having fun but all I can do is watch
Where is my sunshine?
Depressed and unhappy I put a fake smile on my face for my friends
Where is my sunshine?
I wonder why the grey cloud follows me aroun and why I cry myself to sleep every night I yell for help oping and praying someone will pull me out of the darkness and from under the grey cloud but no one comes
So I ask Where Is My Sunshine! ? ! ?

Chocolate Whispers...
Softly I melt into your brown eyes and you
into mines.
Chocolate whispers in my dreams...
Gently I lay you down on my satin sheets
and we make love until we both fall asleep.
Chocolate whispers in my dreams...
Deeply entwine in the passion of your kiss.
Chocolate whispers in my dreams...
Softly you call out my name in the night.
Chocolate whispers in my dreams...
As we walk hand in hand on the beach and
watch the sun set in the sky.
Chocolate whispers in my dreams...
I sink ever so deep into the abyss of your
ever sweet and tender chocolate kisses that I
need... It fills my day with the sweet whispers of
chocolate kisses in my dreams.

Whispers of sileNce
Whispers of silence-
Whispers, Rising like a wave-
In unison, In defiance.
Whispers, Rising to a single scream- Sanity’s grave…
Endless screaming whispers, In the silence- Waves,
Pounding the mind.
A tainted conscience-
In remorseful bind.
Longing for inner silence…
Black today, And black tomorrows-
Prisoners bound, Within dark sorrows…
Repenting our malice- Seeking redemptive solace.
A cold wind blows- Our soul shudders.
Within our shadows of regret- None shall covet us.
For silence, Our mind solemnly utters…
Spirits full of woe.
A tainted conscience.
Cries, Pleading, That this pain, None else know.
Longing for inner silence-
Inner peace-
That these screaming whispers, In the silence cease…

Circle
Inside the circle, the one which burns holes into holes -
I walk around and around -
I feel cold in the warmth of ice -
I am heated by the cold which flames -
The fire of my mind -
Understand what was lost -
Understood what was found -
Blood which drips off my wrists -
Profoundly annoyed by the sound -
Pain gathers out of a cloud -
Whispers of a knife strapped to my hand -
I dare not to look down -
I feel the rain on my feet -
Vertigo signals my defeat -
I want to see black inside what is displayed -
What I feel is the arms which envelopes my soul -
She is screaming fumes -
She wants me to step in grey -
I refuse -
But I do as she say

Life of a Cloud
Warming thermals whisper as they rise,
To tell us they are soon to bring to view
In cooler air aloft before your eyes:
A gentle wisp to counterpoint the blue.
Powder puffs emerge to grant her grace
That further bloom as would for stately tree, and
Yield a sight that calls for our embrace:
Another cloud anew above the lea.
Cruising forth, she yearns for ageless life.
O how her hopes will soon be dashed in vain,
For up there in the cold she courts her strife,
To fade away as drops of closing rain.
Scant and lacy speak her living span,
And fair among us could be brought to mourn,
But she was there to populate her clan:
From fallen tears, new daughters will be born.

Trapped In Despair
I was placed in sadness
I was placed in darkness
I was placed in fear
Trapped in a place called despair
Despair is cold
Despair is unkind
Despair he lingers all the time
You find yourself clinging to the light
Just praying for that light
Please light save me for I am…trapped in despair
Then you see the light and it turns to your eyes
it turns to your smile
at the sound of your angelic voice…
the place grows warm
all fear flees
the light that is your eyes fills this place the darkness is chased away
My sadness has vanished
You extend a firm hand and rip me from despair
You wrap your arms around me and whisper in my ear…
Never again will you be…trapped in despair.

Abbot John of Forde at prayer
All the wonders under heaven and earth
would take more than a lifetime to enumerate –
why then, to be surprised, that One
can speak to such as me,
not in my outer ear, but straight
into my inner ear – nay, right into my soul
his gnosis whispers as it were myself
that spoke it… whispers
such sweet things,
that though they blessedly inform my later words
- as these to you – yet they tremble
in their truth, upon the very edge of words;
whispers such new things to me,
though such things, old to Him,
old, but present; thus, they’re ever new…
for this, I’d waited; waited in the stillness of my heart;
now listened as it were to all
my life explained to me; not, not in judgment,
but in the sweetest grace of friendly intimacy;
and then, when I can no longer hold
Him to me, dare to ask for further news of my true self,
He’s gone…
At first, it was the sweetest pain, His going;
and then one day, I learned as from myself
the way to share with Him, his return journey –
which for Him must be – as must have been – joy beyond all joy;
returning to His Father… so I accompanied Him
with gratitude and praise…
and then I learned, when I accompanied Him
to that place where all inner and all outer meet,
a further, private, holy thing – His Father’s love
for Him… which aforetimes had been but words
that I believed to be beyond man’s mind…
the whisper in my thought, now thunder in the world;
silent thunder in the mind, flashing lightning in the soul;
yet in the silent church, I by the altar there, sounded
near as altar candle’s peaceful flame:
I knew that what men call a mystery,
is daylight truth as visible as mountains or as streams:
that what men read as words, dance off the page
in holy silence, to the heart: the Holy Trinity
was, is now to me, as necessary and inevitable,
as Man and God; as living, now, as God and Man;
as living, now, as Grace.
So John of Forde records for us, by grace of grace itself.
[John of Forde, c.1145 – 1214, is a newly translated witness
to the undivided Church in an age when spirituality,
scholarship, and poetry of speech came together at their height.]

Whitsunday
When God of old came down from Heaven,
In power and wrath He came;
Before His feet the clouds were riven,
Half darkness and half flame:
Around the trembling mountain's base
The prostrate people lay;
A day of wrath and not of grace;
A dim and dreadful day.
But when he came the second time,
He came in power and love,
Softer than gale at morning prime
Hovered His holy Dove.
The fires that rushed on Sinai down
In sudden torrents dread,
Now gently light, a glorious crown,
On every sainted head.
Like arrows went those lightnings forth
Winged with the sinner's doom,
But these, like tongues, o'er all the earth
Proclaiming life to come:
And as on Israel's awe-struck ear
The voice exceeding loud,
The trump, that angels quake to hear,
Thrilled from the deep, dark cloud;
So, when the Spirit of our God
Came down His flock to find,
A voice from Heaven was heard abroad,
A rushing, mighty wind.
Nor doth the outward ear alone
At that high warning start;
Conscience gives back th' appalling tone;
'Tis echoed in the heart.
It fills the Church of God; it fills
The sinful world around;
Only in stubborn hearts and wills
No place for it is found.
To other strains our souls are set:
A giddy whirl of sin
Fills ear and brain, and will not let
Heaven's harmonies come in.
Come Lord, Come Wisdom, Love, and Power,
Open our ears to hear;
Let us not miss th' accepted hour;
Save, Lord, by Love or Fear.

Some Day One Day
You never heard my song before the music was too loud
But now I think you hear me well for now we both know how
No star can light our way in this cloud of dark and fear
But some day, one day...
Funny how the pages turn and hold us in between
A misty castle waits for you and you shall be a queen
Today the cloud it hangs over us and all is grey
But some day, one day...
When I was you and you were me and we were very young
Together took us nearly there the rest may not be sung
So still the cloud it hangs over us and were alone
But some day, one day...
Well come home

To give her up
Break it if you wish devil time
Extinguish flickering candle rhyme
But a heart won't die if love is the crime.
Taunt me with grey washed sky
As silence whispers her goodbye
And endless film runs black and white
Escaping, running through the night
Her countenance rouge kissed in flight
As fingers touched and eyes were bright
My heart was torn never to heal
And bleeds for how she makes me feel.
To give her up my soul would seek
Eternally her petal cheek
Plunging deep into abyss
Lunging for one gossamer kiss
Reaching for her hand through cloud
Bleaching souls that wore a shroud
Quiet hearts that cried aloud.
I wake- you're coursing through my veins
White horse of passion slipped the reins
To leave me with a pounding heart
Oh tell me where i'd even start
To give her up in life or death
With or without a single breath.

The Unnamed Lake
It sleeps among the thousand hills
Where no man ever trod,
And only nature's music fills
The silences of God.
Great mountains tower above its shore,
Green rushes fringe its brim,
And over its breast for evermore
The wanton breezes skim.
Dark clouds that intercept the sun
Go there in Spring to weep,
And there, when Autumn days are done.
White mists lie down to sleep.
Sunrise and sunset crown with gold
The pinks of ageless stone,
Her winds have thundered from of old -
And storms have set their throne.
No echoes of the world afar
Disturb it night or day,
The sun and shadow, moon and star
Pass and repass for aye.
'Twas in the grey of early dawn,
When first the lake we spied,
And fragments of a cloud were drawn
Half down the mountain side.
Along the shore a heron flew,
And from a speck on high,
That hovered in the deepening blue,
We heard the fish-hawk's cry.
Among the cloud-capt solitudes,
No sound the silence broke,
Save when, in whispers down the woods,
The guardian mountains spoke.
Through tangled brush and dewy brake,
Returning whence we came,
We passed in silence, and the lake
We left without a name.

Echoes Ride The Night
Owls hoot, and bats fly blind,
As darkness fills these lands.
Spookiness, a weird kind
Sets trembling in the hands.
The moon peeps through bleak cloud,
To light earth’s dark domains.
Whistles shriek, screeching loud,
From distant racing trains.
The echoes ride the night,
Troubling our anxious souls.
Then as the skies turn bright,
One’s sanity patrols.
Why is it we feel fear,
When all is inky black.
We’re scared when things aren’t clear,
And nervous of attack.
Bats and owls have no dread,
When daylight fills the miles.
They go to sleep instead,
Inside their domiciles.

Can't Break My Fear
get out of me wanting to be
stronger than me you are not me
cause I feel and I fear whatever it is
it can't be what's me
drills out a hole inside my soul
fills out the hole I want you to go
I hear you, I fear you, you're in me
caught in myself like nothing else
deep in my cells you ring the bells
what I feel's as cold as steel whatever it is
it's my achilles heel
can't break my fear
I go out to drink don't have to think
can't find a link, feel like a sink
just to feel none is real whatever helps
to wash the pain away
starting to doubt what I'm about
inside a cloud can't bleed you out
I see you, I fear you, you're not me
hang on so long, until you're gone
I know you're strong and that you're wrong
but I feel and I fear whoever you are
you cut the deepest scar
can't break my fear
cause I am scared! I am scared! I am scared!
I am, I am, I am, I am, I am... scared!!!
can't break my fear

Torture
The mist is low, drifting like smoke
As a shroud, envelopes him
Wrapped in a cloak
In his mind, he carries his sin.
Forehead creased in a frown
Trees, leafless, ahead
Eyes cast down
Pointing to a trail of dread
thoughts whirling in his head
words mumbled, nothing said
Through this greying cloud
A song once sung
Words tumble, not out loud
cold mist in his lungs
Sightless, groping
For the future
Hoping
Slow walk, torture
Trees old and gnarled
Bowed by winds
Under breath he snarled
Yelling at the tree
Shifting listless
What is life to me?
Falling into the pits
Darkness surrounds
Where the devil sits
Heartbeat pounds

Silent Whispers
Silence is an author's friend
whom he often beckons to his side
so he can hear the little voices
that come from deep inside.
The voices that tell him in silent whispers
of what on paper he must write.
The whispers of imagination
that creep upon him in the silence of the night.

Velvet Whispers..Tonight
Glowing above us is moonlight,
In the silence of night i feel you mine,
Your eyes are shinning at me so divine,
Velvet whispers go to my ears tonight.
Stay with me my love, be my delight,
Put your arms around and hug me,
I will close my eyes and cry because,
Velvet whispers warm my heart tonight.
This magic moment it is so bright,
You are my poem, my music, my life,
We belong to each other for eternity,
Velvet whispers rise up my soul tonight.

No more fear
No more fear of survival refuse to live in fear of myself any longer.
No more fear of never being respected or acknowledged by you for who I am.
I will not sarcoma to my fears any longer for I am stronger then I ever dreamed and I will no longer allow my fears to hold me in limbo.
No more screaming in silence or crying with no tears for the end of my silence is here.
No more putting myself through torture for I am ready to heal, my new growth is all around me and I am unsure of what I fear.
No more fear of not being loved for the people who loves themselves has any fear.
No more fear of the unknown for my eyes are wide open and the sky is very clear.
I will only place God Before me for I only exist with him and only he can set me free.
I had fear of being alone, then fear of what could be but I long to face the fears and it does not control me.
No more empty feelings for I know just where to go I will get on my knees, and ask God to bless my soul and take the fear away from me.
No more will I not be heard, if I need to yell or scream it I will say it the way I want but until I am treated right have a voice and I will not have fear of being heard.
No more will I not stand up for me or fear of what was meant to be, no more if being mislead, lost or even feel like I should be dead.
No more of this silly game will I play I love me and maybe you should do the same, I am that woman who has held a family together, who has made you only exit in my world and now no more.

A Haunting Melody
It's not lyrics…but
whispers
That lie ‘neath the melody
Ghostly murmurs that
haunt
the refrain
Sursurrant sounds
That surge
And then melt
Whispers not heard but
more chillingly
…"Felt"…
As tingles and ripples
Of black fingernail
Making
Minor chords that caress,
And then go
Raking….
Up spine and then
Spider
cross brain
A musical medly
Of whispers
And melody
Song fashioned by phantoms
From mist
…Icicles and rain…

Silence When Speaks
the silence still speaks of all secrets
even the untold story of love in the hide
when whispers being seemingly wordless
webbing the hearts by the soul immortal
rhythm when expands by the crooning
heart still talks even being wordless
never when listless by the deep silence
single word even curves the art of love
love still whispers by the art of silence
love still rhythms triggering the impulse
art when rills across the silence by the eyes
even being speechless when undisclosed
in its room of secret by the walls of mute veil
stance yet intoxicated by the quiet nod
story of love when courses upon by the blue
yet the thunder talks even being wordless
muse of flow relentless swing as wordless
