Poet to Reader

Deep inside my silence
words glow like burning stones
plunging to dark waters.

Share with me my holy fire!
With joyful shouts,
we’ll flood the hidden rivers.

But if you leave
I cease.

My words die
without your eyes,
molder to
faded stains.

So come into my heart
and sing with me
this mystic chant!

We’ll be madmen,
hunting diamonds in the dark.

By The Rivers Dark

By the rivers dark
I wandered on.
I lived my life
In babylon.
And I did forget
My holy song:
And I had no strength
In babylon.
By the rivers dark
Where I could not see
Who was waiting there
Who was hunting me.
And he cut my lip
And he cut my heart.
So I could not drink
From the river dark.
And he covered me,
And I saw within,
My lawless heart
And my wedding ring,
I did not know
And I could not see
Who was waiting there,
Who was hunting me.
By the rivers dark
I panicked on.
I belonged at last
To babylon.
Then he struck my heart
With a deadly force,
And he said, this heart:
It is not yours.
And he gave the wind
My wedding ring;
And he circled us
With everything.
By the rivers dark,
In a wounded dawn,
I live my life
In babylon.
Though I take my song
From a withered limb,
Both song and tree,
They sing for him.
Be the truth unsaid
And the blessing gone,
If I forget
My babylon.
I did not know
And I could not see
Who was waiting there,
Who was hunting me.
By the rivers dark,
Where it all goes on;
By the rivers dark
In babylon.

Dont Keep Me In The Dark

Words and music:: austin roberts, james dunne, mike reno
Oh what an illumination love can be
Open up your eyes to its light and you will see
You did that for me, you opened up my eyes
Then extraordinary changes started happening to me
My temperature would rise and fall inside of me
Words came naturally, you were more than I could fantasize
And Ill never know, why someones heart wants to die
If you ever need, if you need to tell me goodbye
Dont keep me in the dark
Silence wont protect you
If youre gonna leave
You got to let me know
Dont keep me in the dork
Tell me when its over
You tear my world apart
When you keep me in the dark
I cant put my finger on what might have been
Any more than I con say when the love will end
But time and time again
I realize youre all I need to know
Youll still be part of the hole in my heart and my soul
But if our love should ever lose its control
Dont keep me in the dark
Silence wont protect you
If youre gonna leave
You got to let me know
Dont keep me in the dark
Tell me when its over
Youll tear my world apart
If you keep me in the dark
Dont keep me in the dark
Silence wont protect you
If youre gonna leave
You got to let me know
Dont keep me in the dark
Tell me when its over
You tear my world apart
When you keep me in the dark
Dont keep me in the dork
Oh no, dont keep me in the dark
Dont you keep me in the dark
Dont you look away

In The Dark

Make me fumble
Make me fall
Make my heart stop and start
To tremble uncontrollably
Let my eyes see fear make desire
Keep those who long apart
Forbid the kiss
And leave us innocent
Of the things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
Make me remember
Make me forget
Make my mind unable
To force the body to do its will
Let it be right for belief and denial
To share a space in the heart and leave us only to imagine
About the things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
Make me pretend
Make me expect
Things can go and come to pass
Without trial or tribulation
Let this life space and time
Leave my body with permanent marks
Faded scars and lines
But not a single impression
Of the things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
Let me be tempted
Let me be torn
But make my thoughts pure and not
Morally corrupt in form
Let us sleep tonight
Let innocence lie in our dreams and secret hearts
With burning desire
A need to know and do
The things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark
The things some do in the dark

In My Dark

In my dark
I was lost and confused
feeling as if my heart
had been ripped and abused

In my dark
I discovered the truth

In my dark I couldnt find my way
I wanted to stay
hidden so far away

Deep in the ground
where I could no longer be hurt

In my dark
I was safe
no longer in the world
where words mean nothing
and hearts dont exsist

In my dark
there was only this

In my dark
I wanted to take my last breath
Close my eyes
hold closer to death

But in my dark
there was one voice
who refused
To let me close my eyes
to hide from the truth

That in my dark
tho I had never seen

That in my dark he had always been

holding me.

I Like To Think That All These Are But A Game Of Words

that is the impression from the beginning
when i started to scribble
word, and more words, i assured her that they do not
mean anything at all just
words, and words and more words

that even a sunflower wilting and spreading all the seed on her feet
are nothing too but words and more words
nothing to grow nothing to expect like a sprouting something

thus my loneliness, i again assure here, is nothing but a word
my way of taking solitude on the other side to save myself
is another word, and she of course, did not believe me saying

there is more to these words, there is fire in them and i see you burning
there is the sun inside them and the letters glow and the

there is smoke rising from the heads of vowels
from the nonspeaking consonants

i keep hiding the flowers
i bury those that are alive in the silence of my pretensions

until one day she grips me like she is a knife wanting to stab me
and then she stabbed me right in my throat and there i bleed

words, words, and more words coming from the slit
bloody words, and she was convinced, until death, ... and then i vanish.

Wise Words

Those old still waters
Run deep
When wisdom is the word
We keep -
Way up
Way down
And everything
All around -
The dark
The light
Into day, and
Out of night -
The wink of an eye
Watching clouds fly by
Sheds tears upon the sun
For the day that's all done -
Sing along
Words of a living song
With the strangers you've yet to meet
Down an untravelled street -
Blaze a path into the heart
Where real journeys start
Burn true thoughts into the head
Out of something so good, deeply read -
Watch those words you say
Moving along your way
The pain you give
May become the pain you live -
As surely as the compassion
You share
May return a blessing
Through someone's thankful prayer -
Find a stranger
To be a friend
For we all become just alike
In the end -
We enter the world
With nothing but a name
We shall leave it
Just the same -
Wisdom is a woman
Love a man
Bring them together
And forever they shall stand -
- Yes, calm waters
Do run deep,
When in our hearts
It is with the wisdom of Love that we speak -

Silence Must Be Heard

(m.cretu.)
.
Look into the others eyes, many frustrations
Read between the lines, no words just vibrations
Dont ignore hidden desires
Pay attention, youre playing with fire
Silence must be heard, noise should be observed
The time has come to learn, that silence ...
Silence must be heard
Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn
Cause silence has the right to be heard
People talk too much for what they have to say
Words without a meaning, just fading away
Silence must be heard, noise should be observed
The time has come to learn, that silence ...
Silence must be heard
Or diamonds will burn, friendly cards will turn
Cause silence has the right to be heard

Lady of the Stars

Fondled in moss and warm ferns
Earth invites the soul too gratitude
Let the wind speak its deep heart
Replenished by waters of joy
She is a forest filled with song
Moonlight swirls on the serene river
Her eyes of star roses glow
Under the boughs of mystic oaks
Streams chant with wood gnomes
Sky clasps the earth’s supple breasts
Lovers in meadows of elves and lilies
Lovers like the ancient tides of time
Waters sparkle like eternal diamonds
Her hair sings like sweet songbirds
My Lady of the stars smiles

Paradox

In the dark, the deep, the gray
I will lose the fight today
For in the end I am weak
A pawn in the greater play of things
For in the end the words I speak
Are not the words I want to hear
The words I speak cut my heart
Through and through a driven spear
I try to seem so indifferent
But all I do is care
So when you leave the words I say
Should be my words of despair
I can't stand to watch you leave
But all I do is stand and stare
My eyes glass, my heart my fear
So easy to break despite my walls
The cage I built to protect myself
There is no floor, and I will fall
My walls will crumble in on me
For I build them to quickly

At The End Of The Day

AT THE END OF THE DAY

At the end of the day
A poem can come only
As silence.
In the quiet
And in the darkness outside
There is a promise
Of light from within.
Late at night
When all is dark
And the darkness too
Is no longer afraid
These silent words
Like a psalm
Sing holy holy holy
God is nigh.

Ndyukerman

Dutchman, Dutchman, Ndyukerman
Dark like the Earth,
Dark like the Night
Dark like Secrets

Stamping your naked foot on the bare earth
Making the anklets rattle

Help me, help me, help me.

You know the secrets of Earth.
You know what she hides in her belly
You know the contents of her bowels

Tell me, tell me, tell me.

Where is the gold hidden?
Where are the diamonds?
Where did the people of old bury their treasure?

Dutchman, Dutchman, Ndyukerman
Dark like the Earth,
Dark like the Night
Dark like Secrets

You never hauled a punt, never cut the cane
You never felt the lash:
You lived a free man in the forest
Making your own trash hut
Hunting your own meat
Remembering the old Ways, the old Language,
Retaining the old Powers.

Help me now.

Dutchman, Dutchman, Ndyukerman
Dark like the Earth,
Dark like the Night
Dark like Secrets

You have the knowledge.
Share it with me.
Are we not Brothers?
You are the older Brother, I am the younger Brother.
I need your help.

You are happy in your trash hut in the dark forest
Hunting for your own meat
Stamping your naked feet on the bare Earth
Remembering the old Knowledge.

Tell me the Secrets that will set me free.

Dark Heart

Pain resides within  the Dark Heart, hidden away and only exposed when it's soul is overwhelmed and about to explode.

Raging waters, boundries pushed to the extreme, walls crumble and fall, as the power of the Dark Heart is set free.

Firey Passion, loves best friend all live within the Dark Hearts Den.

Run and hide, close your eyes, the Dark Heart of Fate lives within...

Everything So Faraway (from, Without A Doubt)

Everything so faraway
Nothing seems now close
Evening is coming to the day
Light to the dark it goes
Sunshine somewhere out there
Finding new save roads
When darkness comes be aware
What thru the air floats

Stillness in the air tonight
Enough for each ones wishes
When starry fallings bright
Through the dark sky misses
Somewhere dreams will go
To the end of a nowhere
There shall be an evening glow
For each heart to share

Sunshine somewhere so are you
Deep inside of all this
Everything now to renew
For another tomorrow’s bliss
Come and go and turn to age
Every burning thought to hold
Times are rocking in their weight
As they start to unfold

Two Words

Two words
that leads me on
others, talk about me
Ardour and Ardent!
One is the fire in the dark
I grope with my fingers and tongue
Other, is fire, almost there!
In one of them i have delight
The other burns with desire.
And i have two lovers
one rests me, the other overflows
time consuming me gently
between two words
that keep burning

Because there exists two beautiful words.

A Happy Moment

inside an old restaurant
i order hot choco
and sweet rice cake

not so expensive
and we are not so hungry

but oh my
when we finally take the glances
of our faces

the glow of our eyes
burning like fire
we want to consume more
we want to be consumed the more

hungry for love we leave the place
the fires still burning in our hearts

the rain outside
can never put off what was burning inside us

love is always and shall always be
unstoppable,
unquenchable, insatiable like a burning ball of fire

in the space of our desires

Holy Mountain

From this small mountain
folded valleys glide
to shining waters.

Flowing like quicksilver,
dark rivers run free
to the sun-drenched sea.

This is my holy mountain.

I seek your gentle voice
where the small birds rest
on thin branches.

See how their breath
arouses the storm?

Fluttering wings
can make shudder the world,
to passion stir vast
twisting winds.

Though I am small
and dying,
make of me
a pillar of fire,

and I’ll descend from these heights
to flood the dark valleys
with your living light.

Pablo Neruda

Castro Alves From Brazil

Castro Alves from Brazil, for whom did you sing?
Did you sing for the flower? For the water
whose beauty whispered words to the stones?
Did you sing to the eyes, to the torn profile
of the woman you once loved? For the spring?

Yes, but those petals were not dewed,
those black waters had no words,
those eyes were those who saw death,
still burning the tortures behind love,
Spring was splashed with blood.

I sang for the slaves, aboard the ships
as a dark branch of wrath.
They travelled, and bled from the ships
leaving us the weight of a stolen blood.

I sang in those days against the inferno,
against the sharp languages of greed,
against the gold drenched in the torment,
against the hand that rose the whip,
against the maestros of darkness.

Each rose had one dead man in their roots.
The light, the night, the sky were covered in tears,
the eyes separated from wounded hands
and it was my voice the only one to fill the silence.

I wanted that from the man we could be rescued,
I believed that the route passed through the man,
and from there destiny would be made.
I sang for those who had no voice.
My voice hit doors that until then were closed
so that, fighting, Freedom could be let in.

Castro Alves from Brazil, now that your pure book
is reborn to a free land,
let me, poet of our America,
to crown your head with the laurels of the people.
Your voice joined the eternal and loud voice of the men.
You sang well. You sang how it must be sung.

Voice In My Heart

(stewart gray/todd kennedy)
Published by hello holly music/keppel music publishing/frankly blond music/socan - bmi
Something in your eyes, is telling me goodbye
I dont wanna see you walk away
Cause Ive been waiting here so long
This feeling cant be wrong
I dont wanna see you walk away
Like a teardrop from the sky (fallin just like tears)
Do you wanna see me cry
Theres a voice in my heart, calling out your name
I dont wanna wait forever
And theres a fire in my eyes, burning deep inside
Please dont make me wait forever
As I watch you walk away, theres nothin left to say
Friendships end sometimes
But somethin in me cries, asking you why
Before you walk away
Theres a voice in my heart, calling out your name
I dont wanna wait forever
And theres a fire in my eyes, burning deep inside
Please dont make me wait forever
Do you know what it is to cry, did you ever try
Theres a voice in my heart, calling out your name
I dont wanna wait forever
Theres a fire in my eyes, burning deep inside
Please dont make me wait forever
Theres a voice in my heart, calling out your name
I dont wanna wait forever
And theres a fire in my eyes, burning deep inside
Please dont make me wait forever
Theres a voice in my heart, calling out your name

All The Rivers

'All the rivers run into the sea.'
Like the pulsing of a river,
The motion of a song,
Wind the olden words along
The tortuous turnings of my thoughts whenever
I sit beside the sea.

'All the rivers run into the sea.'
O you little leaping river,
Laugh on beneath your breath!
With a heart as deep as death,
Strong stream, go patient, grave, and hasting never,-
I sit beside the sea.

'All the rivers run into the sea.'
Why the passion of a river?
The striving of a soul?
Calm the eternal waters roll
Upon the eternal shore. At last, whatever
Seeks it-finds the sea.

'All the rivers run into the sea.'
O thou bounding, burning river,
Hurrying heart! I seem
To know (so one knows in a dream)
That in the waiting heart of God forever,
Thou too shalt find the sea.

The Bloke Who Is Wearing Dark Glasses

The bloke who is wearing dark glasses his eyes from me hidden away
Yet the sun is not even shining it is quite an overcast day
In my direction he keeps staring and that sort of does bother me
Which to say the least feels quite perturbing since his hidden eyes I cannot see
To me he is a complete stranger one that I have not seen before
In my direction he keeps staring as he stands by the Super-store door
If I could see his eyes I'd feel happier I look on a face without eyes
On an overcast day his dark glasses the windows to his soul disguise
I feel uncomfortable in the presence of people wearing dark glasses why this should be I do wonder why
But their right for to wear the dark eyes shades one of them could never deny
But our eyes can tell us more about us than words of us ever can say
They can make you look kind and compassionate or cold hearted in a cold way
An unsmiling face wearing dark glasses from across the street stare at me
I do feel as one in discomfort when a face with hidden eyes I do see.
