Glitter / Fated

The day I met you was the beginning of my life
It was a sensation of liberation
A phenomenon of fate
That brought us together

We swim together in this bitter sea
Longing for a glittering outbreak
To guide us through the conduit
In a seemingly perfect life

And now the path partitions

Once we split, will we ever meet again
Once we meet, will you still be the same
And it will never be the same
This glitter was fated and there is no light

The Stars Are Brightest

the stars are brightest
on the deep blackness
of the night

can you feel the glitter

The sun's continuing to shine
As we continue to have fun in many ways
Passing the day away

Glitter Falling From My Hair (Revised)

Am exhausted, sat thru' two James Bond movies
non-stop, Pierce Brosnan in ‘Goldeneye', but only
watched intermittently as I miss Sean Connery's
mischievous, amused smile, then ‘A View to a Kill'
with Roger Moore - too many twists in the tale,
woke when he carried the leading dame down a
ladder from a building on fire, she glued her shoes
to her feet - wore them right into a flooded mine
and out of it again

Found a program on sea life in Wild France,
lovely jellyfish - selling my soul to the devil by
watching too much TV, glitter falling from my
hair on the keyboard while typing - this morning
sprinkling my hair seemed a good idea, now I
remember a stand-up comedian complaining
about glitter falling from Christmas cards and
the irate receiver hoovering the carpet, maybe
this is too messy, even for me

It's raining once more, a show of clouds earlier
today brought positive results; time to join the
family who've watched a rugby grand final, I
still think I had the best deal with 007

This Early Morning

this early morning
we are talking about
something

somehow you are the curious kitten
coming near my bed
wanting a little warmth
from my hands

and i perfectly understand this need
on the cold days
of our lives

a nice morning conversation perhaps
something not hot
just warm to rub some sparks in our thoughts

i begin to talk about some treasures
i keep inside my heart
how often i open my trunk
and simply glance at them

they are more than diamonds and gold
and certificates of some
deposits

for they glitter not in my eyes
but in my soul
they make me see clearly the meaning of my life

i become young again
i can even fly to distant lands where some of my memories
are buried

all these make me live and live life the way it must be lived
always giving and not taking
something somewhere

when you close your eyes in the darkness
