The King's Gone Into Hiding
The King has gone into hiding, so
He went to selling vinyl siding.
Got too fat
For his pants,
Out of desperation
Decided to take a chance:
- change his name,
-change his face
-even change his beloved place.
No more rock-n-roll
No more killing his soul...
Did odd jobs here and there
Stopped coloring his hair,
Kept moving along
Just trying to find
Somewhere he'd belong...
He took up a new direction
To follow the Resurrection;
Now, no one knows his name
Nor recalls his fame,
He's singing a whole new song
All is new, the old is gone.
Yes, the King's gone into hiding
There'll be no more sightings,
Anonymity is his saviour...
This new Life
Has such sweet flavor.
Oh, he's still around,
He just can't be found.
He's made up his mind
Incognito is the way
He will have to stay
If he's ever to be
Himself and completely free;
The perfect place
Far outside of the rat-race.
So many years now
We've not seen the King,
Though we still look every now and then
Hoping once more just to hear him sing...
Listen carefully in the caressing wind
And you may softly hear,
His heavenly voice
Tenderly blowing near...
For tis true what so often has been said:
The King is gone,
but in our hearts, he will never be dead.

Jesus the King
On the hill of Calvary
Hung up on a tree,
Stripped bare for all to see-
Jesus, King of the Jews,
The carpenter of Galilee,
Dying for me and you.
The soldiers and priests
Shaking dust off their feet
While his followers few, did weep.
Hah, Jesus Christ the King! ?
Hear them in mockery sing
Great Caesar be our only King!
But though they reviled,
And though they mocked.
He cried, 'Father forgive; they know not.'
For he was the great I am,
A shining light, brighter than the sun's flame.
Almighty God robed in flesh, Son of Man.
Jesus, the one who will and has been,
The one who of all will one day be seen
The Creator of every living being.
Despite their mocking,
And though they denied him:
He was still their King.
Tis still the same today,
Whether you like it that way:
Jesus the King, here to stay.
You can defy him, in defiance raise,
But one day, him, everyone will praise.
You will praise, it's just about what place.
You can curse him, spurn his love.
Shake your fists at the sky above.
Nothing you do will be enough.
Because he made you, therefore your King.
Doesn't matter if you don't like him,
Won't ever change a thing.
He has been the King,
Is the King,
Will be the King,
Forever lives the King.
Lift your hands and sing,
Long live, Jesus the King!
The majority's voice will never change,
The endowment of he who came:
Jesus the King, forever the same
You can deny him,
Doesn't change a thing-
Jesus is still your King.
Has been the King, is the King, will be the King! Long live Jesus Christ the King! Lift your hands and sing, Long live, Jesus the King.
Story behind the poem:
This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible:
1Ti 6: 14-16 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Can you feel the awe rising? I can.
And an interesting tidbit:
Joh 19: 19-22 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
What I have written, I have written. What an epic statement! Jesus will forever be the KING of kings. Nothing will ever change it!
JESUS IS KING!

Rock n Roll Is King
Listen everybody let me tell you bout the rock n roll
Feel that rhythm and its really gonna thrill your soul
She said come along with me, to a land of make believe
She said rock n roll is king
She loves that rock n roll and she plays it all night long
Thats all she ever tells me when I call her on the telephone
She says feel that jumpin beat, and git up on your feet
She says rock n roll is king
Chorus: oh let those guitars play
Play for me play for me
Oh let that song ring out
Thats how its meant to be
It rolls like a train thats comin on down the track
She rolled over beethoven and she gave tchaikovsky back
She loves that drivin beat, she goes dancin on down the street
She said rock n roll is king
Chorus
When she comes around and Im listenin to the radio
She says you cant do that cause all I wanna do is rock n roll
Now here Im gonna stay where that music starts to play
She says rock n roll is king

King Of Somewhere Hot
King of somewhere hot
By: jimmy buffett, ralph macdonald, william salter, robert greenidge
1988
Robert greenidge and ralph macdonald finally got me to trinidad and when I heard the desperados playing my song up on laventhill I felt like a king and it was hot.
Ive travelled all around the world
And there are places that still stand out to me
None can really quite compare
To my island in the sea
My personal utopia
A place to run to where I can hide away
Where I can truly reign supreme
Somewhere fresh and clean where a man can dream
Chorus:
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Im king, (king) like every man should be
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Where the music in my soul(music in my soul)
Makes me start to lose control (start to lose control)
And Ill melt right on the spot
Im the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
Now you just rent yourself a tile and dance the night away
Just like the locals do
A million miles from robin leach, life is just a beach
So far out of reach
Chorus:
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Im king, (king) like every man should be
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Where the music in my soul(music in my soul)
Makes me start to lose control (start to lose control)
And Ill melt right on the spot
Im the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
So hot!
(pan solo)
Some day I hope to find my queen I know shell come my way
Ill give her all my love
Its not a complicated thing someplace I can swing
Where a man can be a king
Chorus:
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Im king, (king) like every man should be
Im king, (king) king of somewhere hot
I dont care how hard you look (dont care how hard you look)
Ooh you wont find me in the book (wont find me in the book)
cause Im here right on the spot
Oh! Im the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (to trot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
Hot to trot
King of somewhere hot (to trot)
(king of somewhere hot)

King Electric
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
I was cutting a dash down bleecker street
The sewer was a-staiming underneath my feet
I looked down macdougal bout half a block
Said to myself thats where you come from
I got a vision right there and then in my minds eye
You in your finery, strolling by
Hands on your hip and your guitar case
Sound of the future blowing in your face
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
I stepped down the stairs, ventured through the door
Sound nearly knocked me clean to singapore
Black man child waltzing cross the stage
Squeezing guitar, singing purple haze
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
I remember back home, many moons ago
I had a front-room band, you should have heard us blow
We were rough as a dog, loud as sin
With a lead guitar player, name of davy flynn
He could play with his teeth, upside of his head
He could make that thing ring like a-raising that dead
You were his idol, you were his man
I didnt get it then davy, now I understand
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
cos you were just to early, I was just too late
You were just too fine, you were just too great
You were just too real, you were just too true
This world wasnt beautiful enough for you
King electric, motor on
The king is dead, the king is gone
The king is in us, let his song
Play on!
Keep your electric eye on me, babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love
Freak out in a moonage daydream, oh yeah
Keep your electric eye on me, babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love
Freak out in a moonage daydream, oh yeah

King Kong Song
Well I was looking at a movie on the tv last night
Then I had a very funny notion, yeah
I really had to write a song about it
Then Im gonna sing it in my rockn roll band
And I bet that people gonna like it, yeah
I know that everybodys gonna shout it
About a dreadful mighty killer
A big black wild gorilla
We do the king kong song, wont you sing along
Listen to the music and it couldnt go wrong
We do the kong kong song, gotta sing along
Cant you hear the beating of the monkey tom-tom
Listen to the rhythm of the king kong song
Now we can make the jungle out of any old place
We can make gorillas out of people, yeah
Well who can tell a monkey from a monkey?
So people get together, gonna have a good time
Everybody listen to the music, yeah
the song were gonna sing is kinda funky
So let your arms hang down
And waddle all around
Like a dreadful mighty killer
A big black wild gorilla
We do the king kong song, wont you sing along
Listen to the music and it couldnt go wrong
We do the kong kong song, gotta sing along
Cant you hear the beating of the monkey tom-tom
Listen to the rhythm of the king kong song
About a dreadful mighty killer
A big black wild gorilla
We do the king kong song, wont you sing along
Listen to the music and it couldnt go wrong
We do the kong kong song, gotta sing along

A Song In Our Heart
We have a song we love to sing, a special song about our King.
Friend this King will always be, The King through all of Eternity.
This song we sing in our heart, throughout our day plays a part,
As the sweet melody within, reminds us that we belong to Him.
Friend, The King of all Eternity, through The Spirit, lives in me,
My heart became His Throne, when He made me His very own.
God gave me brand new life, through The Savior Jesus Christ,
Who fills my heart all day long, with a new and everlasting song.
A song unlike any other friend, for once it begins, it has no end.
The song will then fill your heart, with Christ’s love from the start.
Christ then fills you with a peace, from God that will never cease.
And in this song you shall find, God’s comfort for heart and mind.
Friend, this song, you shall see, will focus you heart on Eternity.
The song is lead by The Holy Spirit, and not all men can hear it.
But The Spirit fills you with mirth, the day you receive new birth.
It then continues in eternal song, when we join Heaven’s throng.
Christ can make all things new, and this day He can start in you.
When you let Him be your King, you too will have a song to sing,
As He fills your heart with love, that only comes from God above.
And just like His song of peace, the Love of God will never cease.

If I Were King
I often wish I were a King,
And then I could do anything.
If only I were King of Spain,
I'd take my hat off in the rain.
If only I were King of France,
I wouldn't brush my hair for aunts.
I think, if I were King of Greece,
I'd push things off the mantelpiece.
If I were King of Norroway,
I'd ask an elephant to stay.
If I were King of Babylon,
I'd leave my button gloves undone.
If I were King of Timbuctoo,
I'd think of lovely things to do.
If I were King of anything,
I'd tell the soldiers, "I'm the King!"

King Without A Crown
Welcome to the great republic
Guess I should show you round
Where once I was a king
And now I am a clown
The love that we once shared
Made a king of me
But now youre gone... but now youre gone
All I face is poverty
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
Hell hath no fury
Like a woman scorned
But heaven dont boast - no heaven dont boast
The jewel - the pretty jewel I just pawned
Every cloud has a silver lining
Every dog has its day
Oh but I guess the sun stopped shining
On the day you went away
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Yes Im a king - king! king without a crown
Bathed in former glory
Deposed from my throne
How do I get to tell my story?
When all gets your answerphone...
But you aint home
With the love you gave
I felt like royalty
But now youre face to face - face to face
With one ex-member of the aristocracy
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
...king without a heart
...king without a hope
...king without a woman baby
Oh Im a king without a crown
Theres no need to feel down
Yeah just take a look around
Youll see a man whos just a man
Nothing more
A king without a crown

King of Storms
I am the Storm King,
hear my decree!
The heavens like vikings
shall storm all you see!
Watch the people flee.
I am the Storm King,
the floodgates shall open!
The rain is striking,
slaves driven down the Slope 'n
down to the sea.
I am the Storm King,
I have made my empire.
Hear my bow sing.
I will drown out your fire.
I am the Storm King,
and you shall be made to see.
It is not wise to be double-crossing.
I am the Storm King.
Hear my decree.

You Can't Kill Rock And Roll
How many times can they fill me with lies
And I listen, again
Twisting the truth
And they're playin' around with my head O.K.
The things they will do
And the things they will say
When they don't really understand
Tears fill my eyes when I hear all the cries
For the reason today
And they don't really know
Even what they're talkin' about
And I can't imagine what empty heads can achieve.
Leave me alone
Don't want your promises no more
'Cause rock'n'roll is my religion and my law
Won't ever change,
May think it's strange
You can't kill rock'n'roll
It's here to stay.
Looking through eyes of time
Mirrors reflecting their
stories untrue
Promises promises,
Telling me all of my glories overdue.
How many times have I heard it before
And I'll probably hear it again
King of a thousand knights,
Pawn in a table fight Losing to you.
And they don't really know
Even what they're talkin' about
And I can't imagine what empty heads can achieve.
Leave me alone
Don't want your promises no more

King Of Sorrow
I'm crying everyones tears
And there inside our private
war I died the night before
And all of these remnants
of joy and disaster
What am I supposed to do
I want to cook you a soup that
warms your soul
But nothing would change
nothing would change at all
Its just a day that brings
it all about
Just another day
And nothings any good
The DJ's playing the
same song
I have so much to do
I have to carry on
I wonder if this grief will
ever let me go
I feel like
I am the king
of sorrow
The king of sorrow
I suppose I could just walk away
Will I dissapoint my future
if I stay
Its just a day that brings
it all about
Just another day
And nothings any good
The DJ's playing the
same song
I have so much to do
I have to carry on
I wonder will this grief
ever be gone
Will it ever go
I'm the king
of sorrow
The king of sorrow
I'm crying everyones tears
I have already paid for all
my future sins
Theres nothing anyone
can say to take this away
Its just another day
And nothings any good
I'm the king
of sorrow
King of sorrow

Waffle King
It took a lifetime, but I finally found
The perfect waffle recipe
Youll never find a batter any better in this whole stinkin town
One little bite and Im sure that youll agree
Your eyes roll back and your knees get weak
Aw, youre gonna lick your plate clean
People come from miles around just to study my technique
I make the best darn waffles this world has ever seen
Im the waffle king (waffle king)... yeah
Waffle king (waffle king)
Thats what they call me
Waffle king (waffle king)
Hey, Im the waffle king
Everywhere I go, the people cheer
I never have to wait in line
People say, right this way, sir... your moneys no good here.
Some day I betcha theyll build me a shrine
And everybody say, well, Im your biggest fan!
I seen your picture in people magazine!
Folks come from around the world just to shake my hand
If you dont believe in the power of the waffle lemme show you just what I mean
Im the waffle king (waffle king)
Make you want to scream and shout
Waffle king (waffle king)
Thats my name, dont wear it out
Waffle king (waffle king)
Make no mistake about it Im the waffle king... yeah
Roll out the red carpet, cause here I come
All you peons better scram
Out of my way, you worthless piece of scum
Dont you know who I am?
Hey!
I wanna see you grovel, you waffle-eatin fools
Everybody, on your knees
You wanna buy a waffle, youre playin by my rules
Go on, beg me... lemme hear you say pretty please
Cant you tell the universe revolves around me?
Dont you know you suckers owe me everything?
And cant you see that Im the highest form of life that there could ever be?
Everybody all around the world, stand up and sing
Come on know...
Waffle king
Hey, batter batter
Waffle king
Hot on your platter
Waffle king
Say, whats the matter
Dont you know who I am?
Dont you know who I am?
Tell em, girls
(hes the wa wa wa wa wa wa waffle king)
Yeah yeah
(hes the wa wa wa wa wa wa waffle king)
Tell the truth now
(hes the wa wa wa wa wa wa waffle king)
Dont you know who I am?
Dont you know who I am?

For Christmas Day in the Morning
The first Nowell the Angel did say
Was to three poor Shepherds in the fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
In a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
They looked up and saw a Star
Shining in the East beyond them far,
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it continued both day and night.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
And by the light of that same Star,
Three Wise Men came from country far;
To seek for a King was their intent,
And to follow the Star wherever it went.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
This Star drew nigh to the North West,
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest,
And there it did both stop and stay
Right over the place where Jesus lay.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
Then did they know assuredly
Within the house the King did lie:
One entered in then for to see,
And found the Babe in poverty.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
Then enter'd in those Wise Men three
Most reverently upon their knee,
And offer'd there in his presence,
Both gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
Between an ox stall and an ass,
This Child truly there born he was;
For want of clothing they did him lay
All in the manger, among the hay.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord,
That hath made heaven and earth of nought,
And with his blood mankind hath bought.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
If we in our time shall do well,
We shall be free from death and Hell,
For God hath prepared for us all
A resting place in general.
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.

The way Im flyin fast on my feet

I'm born to rock 'n roll
I'm here to stay.....yeah!!!

The King of Erin's Daughter
THE King of Erin's Daughter had wind-blown hair and bright,
The King of Erin's Daughter, her eyes were like the sea;
(O Rose of all the roses, have you forgotten quite
The story of the days of old that once you told to me?)
The King of Erin's Daughter went up the mountain side
And who but she was singing as she went upon her way,
'O somewhere waits a King's Son and I shall be his bride,
And tall he is and fair he is and none shall say him nay.'
The King of Erin's Daughter–O fair was she and sweet–
Went laughing up the mountain without a look behind
Till on the lofty summit that lay beneath her feet
She found a King's Son waiting there, his brows with poppies twined.
O tall was he and fair was he. He looked into her face
And whispered in her ear a word un-named of mortal breath
And very still she rested, clasped close in his embrace,
The King of Erin's Daughter, for the bridegroom's name was Death.

Carols Sing
Carols sing to the king
Jesus christ our saviour
Born this day, angels say
In a lowly manger
He came down to the earth
Bringing us new birth
Carols sing to the king
Jesus christ our saviour
Tidings bring! hail the king!
Shepherds did adore him
From afar, by the star
Wise men sought and found him
Son of god, son of man
All in all I see
Carols raise his name praise
He shall reign eternally
Carols sing to the king
Jesus christ our saviour

Change The World
Imagine a place only your soul can vision
The heart of a child who looks, sees, and listens
Paints a picture using every color
And what she sees she sees it like no other
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
The art of innocence makes so much sense
Of a place there no wrong has well then it's wasted
Filtered through the eyes of a pure mind
A one of a kind, paradise for you and I, you and I
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
Break the cycle, find your rhythm
Share the gift that you've been given - Love
You can, You can Change The World
You can Change The World with love
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
With everything I know your made of
One word, a voice unheard
You can Change The World
If everyone would stop and listen
