A Different Look
Go, sit out at night
be watched by the moon, stars and milky way,
stay, and love those incredible sights
until dawn breaks fresh upon a whole new day.
Simple sensations, divine revelations
smell the flowers, watch the birds in the air,
live as a child
without a worry or a care.
Try to fathom it all, how and why
the way we live, the way we die.
See the sky sparkling blue,
imagine so much more than just you.
Allow no swagger of walk
nor avarice of talk,
to obscure these most profound things
for in such, the mystery of life sweetly sings.
In so many daily events
can be found life's greatest glow,
a simple pleasure and purpose
waiting for us to know.
Like a great tree in the wind
sometimes we dance, sometimes we break,
but through it all, it is life
in which we partake.

Not having to wake up early in the morning
Enjoying the perfect cup of creamy sweet coffee
Indulging in the best vanilla ice cream hot fudge sundae
That wonderful glass of wine
To laugh with true friends
I don't need many
As long as they are real
Perhaps I ask for too much
Asking for such a simple existence
Contrived things are so much easier to come by...
Maybe I long for simpler times
Only found in history books or fairy tales
But,
What does an old soul do
When she has a young spirit
I'm a bag of contradictions
Loving simple things and high end fashion
You can let it be, but, please try to do it in a way I'll like...
It's not a big deal...until it is...
I can forgive you your greatest faults
But I would never expect you to forgive me mine...
I'll try my hardest

You can't convince me to try...
If I make a mistake
I'll beat myself up over it

Its Own Kind
No one has breached that dark circle
No one has reached there without any struggle
A true way of life and years of meditation
Make you feel close to hi with profound indication
We have lived in double standard and are used to
In normal way we claim holy life bit in fact a lie and untruth
We pretend to be devotee and meant for social cause
The real life gets exposed when surface the scandals
There is no need to preach one thing and follow different
Accept whatever you are with human weakness and live in present
God may grant you access with full embrace
A divine glow may appear on your true face
When you have chosen simple way of living
There remains nothing else except believing
God is in each and every living thing
See and distinguish no difference between poor and king
One by one you may reach inner circle
Where there is seat and divine temporal
Where you may find only light and nothing else
For the whole life you were running after and making chase
The doors are open to all if that is the ultimate aim
Easy to live and easy to understand with no tall claim
Spend the life in services of mankind and poor

If only I could go
travel back to when
life was oh, so simple

I'd walk a country lane
watch geese fly overhead
life was so much better

I'd stand again beside
my grandma as she cooked

Simple Life
Imagine what it would be like
just to live the simple life,
a life with no electricity,
no radios, no TV and no music
blaring in your ears
twenty-four hours a day.
Back to the simple life
going to sleep when you are tied
and getting up when you want to,
work through the hours of daylight
on your own plot of land,
curl up with a good book
when evening calls.
Grow your own food
with no chemicals to help,
greet the morning sun
always with a smile.
Would it be nice to live the simple life
