At one with myself
The heavens are distressed this morning,
A thunderous roar erupts piercing the break of dawn,
Rain lashes incessantly against the window pane,
I burrow deeper into myself,
And wrap my proverbial blanket ever closer.
Autumn golds and browns are drowned by winters ire,
Melancholic, reflective murmurings brushed aside,
as yesterday's excesses are washed away,
Baton down the hatches and stop the clocks,
I will never succumb to winters mistress,
The fire burns bright in my heart and I embrace the day ahead.

Rain Keeps Fallin
I remember the night so well.
The rain was fallin but I just couldnt tell,
If it was you that was callin to my love-sick brain.
But the rain kept fallin on my window pane.
Out of the night the thunder rang in my ear.
I cant fight the feelin, lord, that brings forth my fears.
I wish it was over, lord, please stop the rain.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
Every night the rains on time, I can feel it in this heart of mine.
But I dont know what to do.
Well, I guess I could go back home, cause you know back home is where I belong.
But it just aint home without you.
And I dont know what to do, baby.
Well, I guess Im a looser but it just dont seem fair.
I lost all my life so tell me, why should I care?
The night that you left me is the night that it came.
And the rains still fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain ...
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
... keeps right on fallin.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said, the rain keeps fallin ...

Summer Soft
Summer soft ....
Wakes you up with a kiss to start the morning off
In the midst of herself playing santa claus
She brings gifts through her breeze
Morning rain ....
Gently plays her rhythmns on your window pane
Giving you no clue of when she plans to change
To bring rain or sunshine
And so you wait to see what shell do
Is it sun or rain for you
But it breaks your heart in two
When you find its october
And shes gone
And shes gone
Summers gone
Taking with her summers play
Winter wind....
Whispers to you that he wants to be your friend
But not waiting for your answer he begins
Forcing dangers way with his breeze
Morning snow...
Plans to have a winter ball for you to throw
But just where or when he never lets you know
If its snow or clear days youll find
And so you wait to see what hell do
Is it sun or rain for you
But it breaks your heart in two
Cause youve been fooled by april
And hes gone
And hes gone
Winters gone
You find its october
And shes gone
And shes gone
Summers gone
Youve been fooled by april
And hes gone
And hes gone
Winters gone
You find its october
And shes gone
And shes gone
Summers gone
Youve been fooled by april
And hes gone
And hes gone
Winters gone

Rain Water
Morning of 21st, I am 34.
The rain outside my window drizzles a rhythm of February dawn.
Rain water flows from the early morning sane—
Rain water washes the yesterday’s pain.
Rain water and I have loved you dear—
Rain water and you come close to me near.
Rain water taps my fingertips, and I love you more than yearning—
Rain water runs deeper into our skins of longing.
Morning of 21st, I am happier.
The rain won’t stop until I melt as a better person.

Love Is A Window Starlit Bright
Love is a window starlit bright
And you are the moon
That encompasses its light
Thriving like a winters flower
Visited in the mystical—night?
You are a forest of melting snow
And all that's pure and white
'You are that lover's song in echo'
Of what God made truly right.
Lord, oh lord
She kisses me still...
Prolonging each cold
-winters chill...
The thaw of passing...
Lord, oh lord
Its then she whispers!
Asks for the winds desires
In mine, burning...
Crackling... Ilex ears
Touch me not—just
In the next world:
And I'll like a feather rise
Like an attending angel
I'll kiss away all your tears
All your cries...
Lord, oh lord
Its then she whispers!
As and when the winter raps
Its winter cloak
Around your heart
I will be there to warm
And shelter you!
From the cold and the dark
As sure as the fire
That burns eternal in your heart.

Winters Sun
Winters pall dims the vestiges of autumn gone,
lost the laughter and the sun, families fled
past the eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun.
Mundanity dulls the keenest edge, (re) casts
playact in imports stead, each actor caught in
winters pall, dims the vestiges of autumn gone.
In heady, early days, blushing glance was enough
to hold, then break, the rhythm of the dreary drum.
Past the eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun,
each generation caricatured, first by writers pen,
then realigned by victors gun; the awful chill of
winters pall dims the vestiges of autumn. Gone,
the comfort in a hug, entwined hands: now undone,
voices held on memories breadth, fade away into the
past. The eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun,
sightless, gaping - cast amongst the great undone, stories
raise them from the depths, before letting go into the
winters pall, dims the vestiges of autumn gone
past the eyes of those past - replaced by barren sun.

We to Sigh Instead of Sing
"Rain and Rain! and rain and rain!"
Yesterday we muttered
Grimly as the grim refrain
That the thunders uttered:
All the heavens under cloud --
All the sunshine sleeping;
All the grasses limply bowed
With their weight of weeping.
Sigh and sigh! and sigh and sigh!
Never end of sighing;
Rain and rain for our reply --
Hopes half-drowned and dying;
Peering through the window-pane,
Naught but endless raining --
Endless sighing, and, as vain,
Endlessly conmplaining.
Shine and shine! and shine and shine!
Ah! to-day the splendor!--
All this glory yours and mine --
God! but God is tender!
We to sigh instead of sing,
Yesterday in sorrow,
While the lord was fashioning
This for our To-morrow!

Victim Of love
With the chilly winter winds blowing,
I have become the victim of love again.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t tame.
With the ruthless cold winter coming,
I can feel the warmth of your love waning.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and to the tides of time I can’t blame.
With the dark winter nights falling,
I still walk beneath those street lights.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t name.
With the silent winter days brightening,
I still listen to our rhyme.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t claim.
With the infant winter dawn breaking,
I always hope against the hope.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t make it the same.

Old Man's Nursery Rhyme
I.
In the jolly winters
Of the long-ago,
It was not so cold as now--
O! No! No!
Then, as I remember,
Snowballs, to eat,
Were as good as apples now,
And every bit as sweet!
II.
In the jolly winters
Of the dead-and-gone,
Bub was warm as summer,
With his red mitts on,--
Just in his little waist-
And-pants all together,
Who ever heard him growl
About cold weather?
III.
In the jolly winters of the long-ago--
Was it _half_ so cold as now?
O! No! No!
Who caught his death o' cold,
Making prints of men
Flat-backed in snow that now's
Twice as cold again?
IV.
In the jolly winters
Of the dead-and-gone,
Startin' out rabbit-hunting
Early as the dawn,--
Who ever froze his fingers,
Ears, heels, or toes,--
Or'd a cared if he had?
Nobody knows!
V.
Nights by the kitchen-stove,
Shelling white and red
Corn in the skillet, and
Sleepin' four abed!
Ah! the jolly winters
Of the long-ago!
We were not so old as now--
O! No! No!

When The Sun Comes Out
When the sun comes out
And that rain stops beatin on my window pane
When the sun comes out
Therell be bluebirds round my door, singin like they did before
That ol storm broke out
And my man/gal walked off and left me in the rain
Though hes/shes gone I doubt
If hell/shell stay away for good,Id stop livin if he/she should
Love is funny, its not always peaches, cream and honey
Just when everything looked bright and sunny
Suddenly the cyclone came, Ill never be the same
Til that sun comes out
And the rain stops beatin on my window pane
If my heart holds out
Let it rain and let it pour, it may not be long before
Theres a knockin at my door
Then youll know the one I love walked in
When the sun comes out

Season of a Mistress
Mistress of a season's whim
The pale light of a morning hue
Begin this winters day
Quietly I step forth ahead and on
Into the eerie silence
My breath a vapour rises
To where a low sun shall climb
A coldness present
The wetness of dew
Almost frozen in time
A beauty is still found
In all that greets the eye and mind
Whilst the world succumbs once more
To the mistress of nature
To the mother of this earth
A season bows to her whim

Window
I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatevers in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I cant tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
Or breaking him or her or me

Summer Son
Im tired of telling the story
Tired of telling it your way
Yeh I know what I saw
I know that I found the floor
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
I thought I had a dream to hold
Maybe that has gone
Your hands reach out and touch me still
But this feels so wrong
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Here comes the winters rain
To cleanse my skin
I wake again
Im over you
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Here comes the winters rain
To cleanse my skin
I wake again
Im over you
Im over you

It Is Dawn That Tells The Truth
it is the dawn that
tells the truth, it is
when the soul wakes up
upon a body still wanting more
sleep, and it is when you
too, feels the urge to listen
it is dawn that gives a chance
for the fitting in, of what
i have not said that night,
when you too, was not in the mood
for absorbing, and then i wrap your
body with my arms, and you too
wrap mine with yours, and we
understand each other, and
it is the silence that forges
our oneness once more, &
then the first ray of the morning
light comes through the slit of
the window,... we are ready
to break ourselves again
to another episode to
another new beginning.

A winters morning
A winters morning
~
Amongst a listless morning
still thoughts linger
in the soft pale light
cold dew hangs in the air
bare trees line the horizon
a backdropp of grey cloud
there is nothing more
or less beautiful seen
within a winters portrait
than a world changing
stripped bare, naked
the frailty of life
witnessed

Monsoon Rains
As a rainbow arches to the cloud-marred heavens
As to the midday zenith the morning sun leavens
As the clouds scamper along the azure sky
Raindrops trickle even as the sun through the clouds pry
As the trickle elevates to a seasonal downpour
As the monsoon whisper sweet nothings to the awaiting floor
As life forms scamper to escape the pummeling rains
Lavishing in a deluge are the corner drains
As monsoons erupt from Aeolus's north-western path
Waiting are the feathered kind for a liberating bath
As the feathers soak in the gallons of heaven's tears of joy
The beak partakes with a whisper from the aisles in an air coy
As the umbrellas open up to the falling fiesta
The elderly succumb to the comforts of an evening siesta
As the mud puddles appear on the pavements' loft
Sweet surrendering are the pants to a splatter exuberant yet soft
As a couple huddle together in the falling monsoon
As damp cotton passionately clasps the skin in mystical June
As two palms softly hold each other in an amorous gesture
The rain gods weep even louder sensing the affection in capture
As distant lovers kiss the scattering rain
Through the time tunnel of a window pane
Reminiscing the times when two forms fused to the bliss of one
To the falling heavens as blessings were sprung
As the rain splatters on the front garden
Innocence gather in a mud-laden haven
As the monsoons wallop the Mohawks and pigtails
Splurging are wind gods with a roar that incessantly wails
As the traffic marches on with hoots aloud
Gathering under porticoes is the rain-marred crowd
As winds carve their path with umbrellas in utter disarray
Yet there are those who venture in to the streets for a muddy fray
On the playground mats amidst the mud puddles
A ball flies to the awaiting palms as a celebration huddles
Even the furor of the rain gods in their apical magnitudes
Couldn't stop a game of cricket in its fervent altitudes
Rain, shattering and galloping here and afar
Rain, falling heavens from the throne of a star
Rain, sweet cascades of tears from a far away giant
Falling their heart out for an effervescence of lifeforms reliant

Autumn
The changing cycle of a seasonal swap
Farmers harvest there final crop
The warm light evenings slowly drift away
Vibrant colours perform a magical display
The winds cuts deep like razor wire
Leaves dance around like flames on fire
Cooler air draws in from the east
Animals forage for a needed snack
In preparation for long winters nap
The icy artic air starting to creep
Surviving leaves admit defeat
Emerald leaves carpet the ground
and vibrant textures yellow and brown
A flawless picture an inspiring view
Crispy mornings brings dancing dew
The naked trees stand in prevail
Will soon be part of a winters tale
The lake forms a blanket of icy glass
As autumn days will merely pass

December's Fury
Icicles
inter-lace
branches
weaving
myst erious
patterns.
Isolated
in winters
clutch.
trees stand
barren
stark naked.
trembling
bodies hover
together.
searching
for an
escape.
December's
fury lashes
out.

Healing Rain
Healing rain is coming down
It's coming nearer to this old town
Rich and poor, weak and strong
It's bringing mercy, it won't be long
Healing rain is coming down
It's coming closer to the lost and found
Tears of joy, and tears of shame
Are washed forever in Jesus' name
Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain
Lift your heads, let us return
To the mercy seat where time began
And in your eyes, I see the pain
Come soak this cry heart with healing rain
And only You, the Son of man
Can take a leper and let him stand
So lift your hands, they can be held
By someone greater, the great I Am
Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain
To be washed in Heaven's rain...
Healing rain is falling down
Healing rain is falling down
I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid...
