Memories I Harbor
Memories I Harbor
I decided to retire as destiny was against me.
The four cold walls the lap top and just me. …
The days seem long the nights oh so short.
As memories unfold of the days I boldy fought.
For dreams that I wished be soon a reality.
The laughter the joy was all mine in plenty.
Standing never alone and with many murmurs.
Of many a love story for the hearts to stir.
The days of school and friends sweet n near.
Hearts filled with delight with love so dear.
Now I open my wet eyes and Nature do speak.
As I see my hair with those greying streak.
I look around me so many loved ones..
Gone beyond, I stand alone under God sun.
Confused with pain youth cant understand.
Reach out for my grand kids kind hands.
The soft look the twinkle of their eyes.
And their sweetness special i do proudly spy.
Every step every move and their sparkling smile.
Fills my heart a happiness, journey worthwhile.
As my grandkids lay a good night kiss on my head.
It leads me to gently rest my tired self on bed.

A Baby Cry! ...16th Feb 1948
The Indian ocean, the untouched green, the blue sky.
Came a vibrating sound of a new born..a softness a dainty cry
Soon the clock, insensitive so.. ticked on, the days whizzed by
My hair, a silvery streak, fingers numbed and gracefully aged
I dwell into areas where thoughts lead me to freely uncage
I gently turned the delicate pages, back in time and with a sigh
B'days, moments, many captured, never struggled to survive
Living the days gone by with variable memories so alive...
Family, friends, near and far off in many a distant lands
Surely do make this earthly stay a four seasonal land
Laughter, tears, cheers, a beauty, the warmth that life can hold
As a new dawning day begins, another year about to unfold.
Six decades and years three, made those colourful days
We shared together a journey, life long... come what may!
Now a blessing for each candle, that you proudly blow,
Hopefully be sparkling today and many years forever more
Health peace and may you be filled with a wonderland
Children, grand children, together holding..hand in hand!

Friendship A Tranquilizer
Those days of glamour and innocence now replay,
Laughter tears with smile spread across many a day.
Glances exchanged, friends of days that was less forgot,
Some moments of time, engraved a sweetness knew not.
As paths drifted across oceans and the volumes of sky,
Memories darkened fading and unclear as time did fly.
Decades, years, months, did not its beauty ever forget.
Friendly thoughts shared with reservation that was set.
Wondering if it will ever come back to cherish, again.
Now alone a stand, heartaches uncertainty unending pain.
As special memories surface, with many a hidden bliss.
A friendship never was sought, now kind of feels the miss.
A heart embraces, feelings of happiness gently do swell.
A place with dignity and grace a tranquility to dwell

Reminiscenes
Oh those days gone past my era of joy,
“Come back – come back’’ I’m yelling
now. Still today when the memories
of those days flashback, a moment of
smile returns with the images of a few
happy friends holding hands and
Rejoicing-rejoicing in the small school
of Jnaneshwar. The river of love was
flowing in full swing, here-there,
everywhere was joy and joy and amidst
that joy lived some joyful friends happily.
we will never meet, my dear friends, all
of us once again and even in this
tearful life of today the slight memories
of those days bring back the smile on my
face. Oh those days gone past my era of
Joy- “please come back”.
Violent tides battle in the ocean of tears
each day that I remember the days gone
past in to the pages of memory, and the
Harbor though strong and resistant soon
falls apart as the teardrops wet my cheeks.
The stream of life haunted through the coot
and hern and joy bubbled at each fall until
it made a sudden sally and listed a thousand
miles between us which changed all. Late at
nights I’ve often awoken to cry for the laughter
that reverberates in my dreams, and soaking my
tears, I’ve often turned back expecting your eyes
which never allowed me feel solitary and I’ve passed
each day hoping that this day is the last day of
separation but the time is the arrow which once
shot, never really returns back.
Oh those days gone past my era of joy, don’t
Leave me broken, torn and lovelorn-
“Please come back.”

A Sail along the blue waters
Combed back the wavy black, so ebony hair,
Dims, as the silvery look appears, amazingly I stare.
Seeing you mature from nineteen to a sixty four.
Sharing the good and the bad, memories galore.
A garden of roses, the thorns, the fragrance of love.
A blessing from the wonderful heavens above.
The many birthdays, seasons, drifted by so swiftly.
As the hands of time moved on cold and insensitively.
Now oh so many candles and a cake rather small..
Another year of experience for you to recall.
Gonna be a simple celebration to bring in the light.
For another many years of journey to your delight.
Enjoy the blue waters under Gods glorious radiant sun.
Laughter happiness and days filled with real fun.
let the past make you a future so easy and splendid.
With days special that no mind or heart can ever rid.
May all your dear wishes, dreams turn to reality.
With a road paved for days of everlasting serenity.
Happy Birthday may today open the many a smiles
A pleasant sail and every dawning so worth while.
Soon one of us will bow out to the angels call.
To the land of no return we go, that heavenly hall.
Till then enjoy yourself with every sunrise sunset.
May God Almighty give you good health, with no regret! !

Field Of Dreams
May tomorrow bring you sunshine
as you kiss the sky
in this field of dreams
alone here, you stand
lost little dandelion
soaking up the morning sun
Love flowing like streams
torn apart at the seams
summer days are never gone
with just one promise in your hand
yesterday memories
blowing in the breeze
still never lost in time
You listen to every dropp of rain
fall like teardrops outside your window
in this field of dreams
you never let go
we hide behind the pain
this love so vein
Days so bitter sweet
days that never end
nights that just pass by
in this field of dreams
its only you and I
where our love will mend
And hearts tortured it seems
there is where we will meet
in this field of dreams
where we will never die
In this field of dreams
I'm still lonely on these streets
waiting here for you to be mine

Old Days
Old days
Good times I remember
Fun days
Filled with simple pleasures
Drive-in movies
Comic books and blue jeans
Howdy doody
Baseball cards and birthdays
Take me back
To a world gone away
Memories
Seem like yesterday
Old days
Good times I remember
Gold days
Days Ill always treasure
Funny faces
Full of love and laughter
Funny places
Summer nights and streetcars
Take me back
To a world gone away
Boyhood memories
Seem like yesterday
Old days - in my mind and in my heart to stay
Old days - darkened dreams of good times gone away
Old days - days of love and feeling fancy free
Old days - days of magic still so close to me
Old days - in my mind and in my heart to stay
Old days - darkened dreams of good times gone away
Old days - days of love and feeling fancy free
Old days - days of magic still so close to me

Remember Me When Im Gone
Why I don't know why even how?
How Lovers turn strangers
How all the passion and love
Turn in to ashes just in a while
How your real love flew
How it could be true
The love between me and you
The thing that I've never got
How the love like flower dies
How Would you tell me how
How you could forget the love
For It's sake days and nights breathless stood there
Never got tired of knocking the doors of my heart
love I loved you and lived for your love even after you've gone
Love I loved and I lived your pain
For your sake I used to love your pain
Because my love was real and
Truer than true
No one ever will be loved like The way I loved you
Someday you will comeback
But it'll be too late
never again you'll find me there
A lifetime I'm standing right here
Got tired this heart of mine
Long years alone waited for your return
If I had one more life I would sacrifice for your love
But when the time of leaving comes
There's nothing to do my love
When you come back when I'm gone
you will return home broken
That moment you'll feel how much you've hurt the one who loved you more than her life
I'll go far away taking with me your love and all the memories
Those memories never gone away
Like my shadow always chased my way
Remember me when I'm gone
Because even in my grave I'll always love those smiling green eyes.

My brother's bday....and he is gone!
Firoze ibrahim...born 20th Feb 1948....died 13th August 2009
Feelings stirred, my brothers bday dawns, an emptiness felt,
My ageing eyes overflows with a pain that cannot be dealt.
Moving along life's journey, precious thoughts do unfold
Memories of the wondrous days shared, in our hearts we hold.
Days filled with fun, laughter the sweet fragrance of love.
United we walked through trials, a blessings from above.
Those Phone calls, greetings, meetings are all now.. so gone
Sunrise, sunset and non-stop each day do effortlessly dawn.
Clinging to the sweetness and his gentle caring words,
Lessens the pain as his voice with kindness still heard.
Looking back down memory lane I must say I can’t help find,
An unexplainable sad loss in the background of my mind....

Memories Engraned in My Walls
Memories engrained in the Walls:
You were my first love, and my only love, the love I wanted to make last with you forever. I gave you my soul and everything within it. I held nothing back from you.
The joy we shared for so short of a time, why did you take it all away from me?
The ring I gave you matched the sparkle in my eyes, and each kiss I bestowed meant forever. But in one instant all of this you severed.
Now I sit here still a year later, and your ghost haunts the memories of my mind. I see you move to a wall, and that wall opens up like a Broadway stage. The scene replays in my head with you and me flirting for the first time, and me sitting on the bench desperately wanting to kiss you. And your ghost moves to the bedroom, where you and I made love.
Each time I tried to kiss your soul, and each time you engulfed me more. How could you walk away from me so fast, when I did everything on my end to ensure it would last?
I could take an array of bullets with a smile on my face, as long as I could look into your eyes. I knew they would make the pain go away. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you, and I’m ashamed that there is nothing I still wouldn’t do for you. Because this was my first experience of true love, and I pray it is not my last.
For if it were my last, then these days are long and will be hard to pass, especially when everywhere I look there are memories of you engrained in my walls.

Mel..Nad..In My Daughters Eyes
In Both My Daughters Eyes
You two came out of heaven to make happiness dear.
To smile away the sorrow and kiss away the tears.
You became a strength and an everlasting glory,
Your beautiful face and beautiful smile tells a story.
You are God's miracle and the future was in your eye.
That did many a resuce gave the power to fly high.
Your ever glowing stlye brightened the darkened days.
a helping hand you never did hesitate, come what may.
Generation Gap didnt matter as friends we became a team.
Your heart pure with sweetness of love an overflowing stream...
The differences disputes we shared never did us break,
Memories precious and our wondrous days we did make.
As a friend, teacher, sister and motherly hand you lend..
To rest a weary head on your youthful gentle lap till the end.

The School Days are near!
Same shrieking morning alarms,
Same morning fear!
The school days are near, The school days are near!
Sleeping in the bathroom,
From out, Mom shouts, '' DO YOU EVEN HEAR? ''
The school days are near, The school days are near!
So drowsy I am,
Confused, don't know what to wear!
The school days are near, The school days are near!
And entered into the school,
Murmuring silently, '' Oh dear! Oh dear! ''
The school days are near, the school days are near!
And if the first period is Maths,
Not again those equations linear! !
The school days are near, the school days are near!
A look at the load of books,
From the corner of my eye drops a tear!
The school days are near, the school days are near!
Gosh! When will vacations come?
We'll have to wait an year!
The school days are near, the school days are near!
Hoping when we go,
We'll find joy, sheer!
The school days are near, The school days are near! ! : D

Goodbye Davy Jones
Goodbye Davy Jones
Your music fills our memories
They are the soundtracks of our lives
Thank you so much for giving these.
Our high school days come back in song
The laughter, stockings, Twiggy looks-
It seems it has not been that long
When we hid your photo in our books.
Those days were filled so much laughter
Mop-head hair and bobby socks
Guitar in hand, sang 'I'm A Believer'
And with your music, did we rock!
Rest in peace, as we bid goodbye
Your songs will always have a part
In this our life, though now we cry
We love you, Davy - from the heart!

One Of These Days
Wish someone would tell me when
I wont think of you again
Ill get past the emptiness and
Let a little happiness back in
Pretending that you came
Leaves me half way there
One of these one of these days
Ill be completely over you
Heaven knows how long it will take
And one of these one of these days
Ill find somebody wholl love your memories away
One of these days
One of these days
Some how some way
Ever since youve been gone
Time has a way of dragging on and on
Friends drive by for company
But Im not much company for long
Oh ill get past the what was
If I live long enough
One of these one of these days
Ill be completely over you
Heaven knows how long it will take
And one of these one of these days
Ill find somebody wholl love your memories away some way
One of these days
One of these days
Some how some way
One of these one of these days
Ill be completely over you
Heaven knows how long it will take
And one of these one of these days
Ill find somebody wholl love your memories away some way
One of these days
One of these days one of these days
One of these days some how some way
One of these days one of these days

My Heart is Broken
Does anyone know that my heart is broken?
Perhaps no one really knows because of the laughter I show when I'm with them,
Nobody knows that my heart is hurting because of that person.
Those days in love it was the laughter that made me happy,
Waking up in the morning next to the person that I loved,
It was everything that I could wished for,
But the laughter faded when the person said it was over.
Years have passed by but the memories are still here,
And I don't think I could ever erase the person from my mind,
Those wonderful memories from my heart.
My heart is bleeding from the sad memories that were once happy,
I can laugh and laugh,
I can lie to myself and my friends,
But the tears from the laughter are the tears from the heartbreak.
Sometimes in the nights I hear myself laughing,
The laughter that echoes through the nights,
Through the lonely dark room,
I sometimes realize that not all of the echoing sounds are laughter,
But they are the tears and sadness coming from my heart.
How can I erase anything when the person's love was so beautiful?
How can I erase that person from my memory,
When I still love that person so much

Song VII: Dawn Talks to Day
Dawn talks to Day
Over dew-gleaming flowers,
Night flies away
Till the resting of hours:
Fresh are thy feet
And with dreams thine eyes glistening,
Thy still lips are sweet
Though the world is a-listening.
O Love, set a word in my mouth for our meeting,
Cast thine arms round about me to stay my heart's beating!
O fresh day, O fair day, O long day made ours!
Morn shall meet noon
While the flower-stems yet move,
Though the wind dieth soon
And the clouds fade above.
Loved lips are thine
As I tremble and hearken;
Bright thine eyes shine,
Though the leaves thy brow darken.
O Love, kiss me into silence, lest no word avail me,
Stay my head with thy bosom lest breath and life fail me!
O sweet day, O rich day, made long for our love!
Late day shall greet eve,
And the full blossoms shake,
For the wind will not leave
The tall trees while they wake.
Eyes soft with bliss,
Come nigher and nigher!
Sweet mouth I kiss,
Tell me all thy desire!
Let us speak, love, together some words of our story,
That our lips as they part may remember the glory!
O soft day, O calm day, made clear for our sake!
Eve shall kiss night,
And the leaves stir like rain
As the wind stealeth light
O'er the grass of the plain.
Unseen are thine eyes
Mid the dreamy night's sleeping,
And on my mouth there lies
The dear rain of thy weeping.
Hold silence, love, speak not of the sweet day departed,
Cling close to me, love, lest I waken sad-hearted!
O kind day, O dear day, short day, come again!

Last night once again I fell in love with your eyes
You were right there in my dreams I felt the touch of your hand
Oh how a sweet feeling is to feel your touch once again
Even in my dreams I don't care
My love my soul everything that I ever have had
Last night I've fell once again in love with your smile
My beloved do you know how much I was in need to see your smile
Even in my dreams I don't care
You held my hand with magic of your touch
Once again I understood why I loved you this much
last night you were there my love the sweetness of my life
You whispered in my ear the words of our love
Oh how far you've took me back in time
There in my dreams I went back to those days of love
I still remember every moment that we've shared
The pieces of love still I hide at the deepest corner of my heart
Last night once again me and night became friends
We hugged each other and wished our friendship may last forever _

For My Boys - Dedicated to Brendan & Christopher
My life changed the day,
You came into this world.
The life that I knew,
Became unfurled.
In held you so close.
I looked in your eyes.
The joy that I felt.
And the tears filled my eyes.
My finger you took.
You grasped with your hand.
For your life I would fight.
For your dreams I would stand.
I then took you home.
My sweet little boy.
You were God's special gift.
My bundle of joy.
Time it passed on.
You started to talk.
Then within a few weeks.
Your first steps you did walk.
The first day of school.
It was then I did know.
One day I would have to,
Let my special gift go.
You scored your first goal.
Mom and I were so proud.
We cheered for you son.
We praised you so loud.
Time it marched on,
You had your first date.
You were growing so fast.
Time does not wait.
Then you drove the car.
You drove it away.
I remembered the little ones.
In which you used to play.
Now off to college.
My boys now a man.
I can't help to remember.
The day it began.
Then you fell in love.
You walked down the aisle.
The future you'd have.
Made mom and me smile.
Your first child was born
Now you and your wife.
Had your special gift.
And your reason for life.
I remember the Christmas.
That we had that year.
New memories to cherish.
The old ones still dear.
But I just want to tell you.
The days that I miss.
Toys in the rec room.
That sweet good night kiss.
Prayers before bedtime.
Watching my angels sleep.
These are the moments.
In my heart I do keep.

Memories in the mind
Memories are made in the mind,
and there if you search, you will find.
There in the mind, so many things,
so many memories it brings.
So many years have passed,
of our youth, away we have cast
some memories happy, some memories sad,
memories have I, when I was a lad.
Memories have I, of a dog named shep,
memories of him, when he kept in step.
Memories of my friends, when we played,
of those days, for ever memories relayed.
Memories of family and fun,
when we talked until the setting of sun.
Memories of washing our fifty-seven Ford,
and wanting things we couldn't afford.
Memories are made in the mind,
long lost, search and you will find,
memories of days gone by,
searching memories, oh how you try.
Memories will fade out,
you have forgotton, what it's about,
memories lost in the mind,
dig them out and you will find.
