I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain
And it dripped into my head
And flowed into my brain

I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

My Sneaking Tears
How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.
My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.
The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…

Twisted
My analyst told me
That I was right out of my head
The way he described it
He said Id be better dead than live
I didnt listen to his jive
I knew all along
That he was all wrong
And I knew that he thought
I was crazy but Im not
Oh no
My analyst told me
That I was right out of my head
He said Id need treatment
But Im not that easily led
He said I was the type
That was most inclined
When out of his sight
To be out of my mind
And he thought I was nuts
No more ifs or ands or buts
They say as a child
I appeared a little bit wild
With all my crazy ideas
But I knew what was happening
I knew I was a genius...
Whats so strange when you know
That youre a wizard at three
I knew that this was meant to be
Now I heard little children
Were supposed to sleep tight
Thats why I got into the vodka one night
My parents got frantic
Didnt know what to do
But I saw some crazy scenes
Before I came to
Now do you think I was crazy
I may have been only three
But I was swinging
They all laugh at angry young men
They all laugh at edison
And also at einstein
So why should I feel sorry
If they just couldnt understand
The idiomatic logic
That went on in my head
I had a brain
It was insane
Oh they used to laugh at me
When I refused to ride
On all those double decker buses
All because there was no driver on the top
My analyst told me

But I said dear doctor
I think that its you instead
Because I have got a thing

February Rain
To be the mud, the bog, the mire;
To soak the bones in February –
Eons from the autumn shower–
Even from a summer berry!
Sparrows chirp a desperate call,
Darting questions at the cows –
Oblivious to the dousing squall, they
Churn the sludge with pastern ploughs.
The crying air was lost in rhythm:
Drums incessant in the drops;
Not a chance for rainbow prism –
Even if the hammering stops!
Metallic chills entrap machines –
Tractors hushed within the shed.
Inside the house, a full cuisine
To bless with mead – and little said!
But out across the tiring field,
A sodden fox is hunting down
His prey of sorts – but nil of yield;
Perhaps he’ll starve; perhaps he’ll drown.
Still the clouds are hammering,
Hammering home their dreary aim –
A chatterbox in constant yammering,
Drenching all to make a claim.

When I Opened My Eyes
I opened my eyes,
And determined I would only see Sun.
No matter who had said what to me.
Or the happenings in those yesterdays done.
I've begun to enjoy my walks through the rain.
Most times with pain I have learned not to prioritize.
When I opened my eyes my mind seemed to clear.
I looked into the mirror and saw what appeared.
And excuses for blemishes and flaws I magnitized...
Disappeared to allow me a living of my life as 'I' liked.
And asking someone how to do that...
Took an immediate backseat in my mind.
When I opened my eyes...
They were 'my' eyes to open.

Dark days lonely nights
soaked from the rain from day to day
the only time not pounded by rain is
when i'm asleep
my dreams seem unbreakable
thought run threw my head
as i wake they all float away
then the rain clouds come back
depression sorrow in my heart
