Father
Why do I even carry your
name? That you are responsible
for my being is unfortunate. It's a
shame. You never comforted, protected or
provided. You've left me all this time
empty-handed. To abandon and forget me is what
you decided. I know it is not because of anything
I did. Nothing made me understand better than
time did. Some people's priorities are simply
wrong sided. I exist, or perhaps you don't
remember. I am alive and I am
your daughter, but you are not and never have been
my father. You are nothing but a faceless, shapeless,
meaningless figure.

Please Remember
Time, sometimes the time just slips away
And your left with yesterday
Left with the memories
I, Ill always think of you and smile
And be happy for the time
I had you with me
Though we go our seperate ways
I wont forget so dont forget
The memories we made
Please remember, please remember
I was there for you
And you were there for me
Please remember, our time together
The time was yours and mine
While we were wild and free
Please remember, please remember me
Goodbye, theres just no sadder word to say
And its sad to walk away
With just the memories
Whos to know what might have been
Well leave behind a life and time
Well never know again
Please remember, please remember
I was there for you
And you were there for me
And remember, please remember me
Please remember, please remember
I was there for you
And you were there for me
Please remember, our time together
The time was yours and mine
While we were wild and free
Then remember, please remember me
And how we laugh and how we smile
And how this world was yours and mine
And how a dream was out of reach
I stood by you, you stood by me
We took each day and made it shine
We wrote our names across the sky
We ride so fast, we ride so free
I had you and you had me
Please remember, please remember

Eyes Open
keep your eyes open as if
love could come a walkin as if
everything else is meaningless, meaningless
and that's the way it oughta be
mysteries, especially she
oh everything else
is almost meaningless, meaningless
oh say
well i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my name
oh say
well i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my
you'd remember my name
keep your eyes open as if
everyone's a poet as if
everything else is meaningless, meaningless
and that's the way it oughta be, yea
mysteries, including me
oh well everything else
is almost meaningless, meaningless
oh yea, oh say
well i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my name
oh say
well i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my
you'd remember my
you'd remember my name
to be a little bit advanced
you gotta take a little bit of a second chance
on life
you gotta get on up and dance
you better throw all your precious plans
better wave them goodbye
a buh bye, buh bye, bye bye bye
ya gotta keep your eyes open
as if everything else is just along
come along on its way
and that's the way it oughta be
well mysteries in everything
well i say, i say
well i, i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my name
oh say
well i will always feel that way
and if a time a change should come
you'd remember my
you'd remember my
you'd remember my name

Father Time
Father time, oh father time,
what memories are held in your bosom?
And warm moments locked in your core.
Those memoirs of bliss so stowed away
by the graceful sweep of your second hand,
and days so aptly tucked away from reach.
Father time, oh father time,
you have seen so many beautiful faces
and genuine smiles anchored so deeply in this essence,
to which none you will abandon, and none you will forget
An endearing love, a selfless endeavor,
governed over this profound diversity.
To share, to laugh, to embrace, to hold, to love.
Lest never forget, and always cherish,
father time, oh father time...

The Love Of A Father
the love of a father is strong
the daughter knows its not wrong.
we love to know that our father is with us
even though we make a fus.
they protcet us in anywaythey can
they even sit nxet to you in the van.
my father is this and more
i'm his little girl that he adores.
yes i get in to trouble from time to time
but then you would not seem fine.
you punish me for me to understand
but you also give me a hand.
you help me with my homework
and i help you with yard work.
i am a great student
and noone will give me an award
but yur love for me is tremendus.
i will leave you one day
and i will remember what to say.

Stockholm Syndrome
I won't stand in your way
let your hatred grow
and she'll scream and she'll shout
and she'll pray and she had a name.
Yeah she had a name
I won't hold you back
let your anger rise
and we'll fly and we'll fall and we'll burn
no one will recall, no one will recall
this is the last time I'll abandon you
and this is the last time I'll forget you
I wish I could
look to the stars
let hope burn in your eyes
and we'll love
and we'll hate
and we'll die
all to no avail
all to no avail
this is the last time I'll abandon you
and this is the last time I'll forget you,
I'll forget you
I wish I could
this is the last time I'll abandon you
and this is the last time I'll forget you
I wish I could
I wish I could

You Think I Don' t Remember
You think I don' t remember, the night it started
Well I do
I ran away, because my heart was breaking
I left a note you never found
Of course you wouldn' t
You were never there
You left it up to your oldest daughter
To be the mother
Ya that turned out great
Look at us now
I haven' t changed much my heart is still breaking
And I am still without a mother
You think I don' t remember the first time it happened
The first lesson you gave me (as you would always call them)
We weren' t all alone
He was there, that person you married, just for money
Another smart move
He' s the one that showed you and taught you how to leave no marks
For that first time went all so wrong and you left too many marks
But I said no words
Because you' re my mother
Now all these years latter
You are the one that doesn' t understand why
I don' t say I Love You
When I am now raising your kids
When I am only a kid my self
I know how I have doing it for a while
But its time for me to retire
For you to start being my mother
And me a young adult
You think I don' t remember
The first
The second
The fifth
The day to day
You think I don' t remember
The ones I have taken for my brother
The one that happen this morning
Because you think I am a whore
For getting taken advantage of
You dont know half of what he did to me
no one does or ever will
You don' t see what I see in my dreams
And you arent drowning in the tears I cant cry
You think I don' t remember mom
But I do, I remember

Never Cared...
Its times like this,
Where I say that its funny,
Not out of humor,
Just plain irony,
That girl in the paper,
They say its a shame,
Yet when she was alive,
No one cared to learn her name,
I mean she went to our school,
She walked down our halls,
She lived in our town,
I've seen her at the mall,
People made their comments,
But none ever stuck,
She use to say little rhymes,
Like good luck chuck,
I remember her clearly,
She always kept to herself,
She hated her mom,
But was too scared to get help,
She was blamed for everything,
Her dad held her down,
Even when things seemed good,
She still had a frown,
She couldn't take it any longer,
She wanted to die,
And when she came to talk to me,
I said I didn't have the time,
So when I saw her casket,
I felt totally responsible,
Her living her life,
Is no longer possible,
Soon people will forget,
About that girl they never cared for,
And now I will cry,
Because I didn't do more, ...

Yesterday
My friend says I was not a good son
you understand
I say yes I understand
he says I did not go
to see my parents very often you know
and I say yes I know
even when I was living in the same city he says
maybe I would go there once
a month or maybe even less
I say oh yes
he says the last time I went to see my father
I say the last time I saw my father
he says the last time I saw my father
he was asking me about my life
how I was making out and he
went into the next room
to get something to give me
oh I say
feeling again the cold
of my father's hand the last time
he says and my father turned
in the doorway and saw me
look at my wristwatch and he
said you know I would like you to stay
and talk with me
oh yes I say
but if you are busy he said
I don't want you to feel that you
have to
just because I'm here
I say nothing
he says my father
said maybe
you have important work you are doing
or maybe you should be seeing
somebody I don't want to keep you
I look out the window
my friend is older than I am
he says and I told my father it was so
and I got up and left him then
you know
though there was nowhere I had to go
and nothing I had to do

I Rememer, .
I Remember, ..
I Remember, seeing cops take you away.
I Remember, it was just the 3 of us.
I Remember, going to see you.
I Remember, talking to you ALL the time.
I Remember, telling you ' I love you.'
I Remember saying, ' Daddy, i miss you.'
I Remember, when you packed your bags.
I Remember you, holding your new born child.
I Remember, when you left me.
I Remember when, i told you i hated you.
I Remember, when i met HIM.
I Remember, when HE called me HIS daughter.
I Remember, HE took your place.
I Remember when, I told HIM ' Dad, i love you.'
I Remember now, im not YOUR daughter, ..
IM HIS.

More Visual Than Not
Remember this...
When you decided,
To silence your lips.
Believing problems others had...
Were not yours to exist.
And you pointed your fingers,
With judgements passed?
While your assets dwindled.
As those 'others' you trashed!
Your opinion now expressed...
Has less influence than your crab grass.
Or the effective use of a lawn mower,
When it was needed.
To do a job now long ignored!
It is better left to collect cobwebs and dust.
Instead of making meaningless threats...
No one within hearing distance takes seriously.
Since the evidence becomes more visual than not!
And apparently someone has spent too much time sleeping.

I Forgot To Remember To Forget
forgot to remember to forget(kesler/feathers)
I forgot to remember to forget her,
I can't seem to get her off my mind.
I thought i'd never miss her,
But i've found out somehow
I think about her almost all the time.
Well the day she went away
I made myself a promise
That i'd soon forget we'd ever met.
But something sure is wrong
'cos i'm so blue and lonely:
I forgot to remember to forget.
Well the day she went away
I made myself a promise
That i'd soon forget we'd ever met.
But something sure is wrong
'cos i'm so blue and lonely:
I forgot to remember to forget

Father And Daughter
Father and daughter spend some quiet time together in the living room
Shining through the curtain is the sun
And outside is the glorious afternoon
Father reads to his daughter the poetry she loves
Father and daughter enjoy each other's company
Father takes his daughter by the hand
As they take a walk outside
Father cares for his daughter
And always wishes the very best to happen for her

Kill, Kill and Kill
Kill, kill, and kill all those
Who are in this locality and dispose off
All their belongings and loot
The crowd from near by area had come on foot
We all were threatened and very much afraid
They had chosen night time for raid
We had everything here including beautiful home
It was doctor's house and named as always 'welcome'
Father was known figure and medical practitioner
He used to help down trodden and was good listener
He provided free medicines many times for the poor
Such was father known as will never show door
The crowd was carrying burning torches
They saw father at the door from distance of an inches
'Go back, go back' shouted the leader
This is home of our beloved doctor and savior
We were all moved by this kind gesture
We were shivering and taken over by fear
The riots had broken out over small matter
The loving people had turned arch haters
Father has served that locality since years
Inhabitants were poor and were hand to mouth earners
The doctor's fee was never a problem
People were served well and taken out of troubles
I remember him as her dear daughter
He was not a doctor alone but loving father
I used to shiver with little thought of that dead night
What could have happened to us if had not gone right
I decided to serve people from that day onward
I understood that peace was the only option to look forward
We are only human being and always subject to decay
Why propaganda and untruth should make us to be carried away?
Humanity has still not died away and rules supreme
Sometimes help come in unexpectedly in extreme situation
We all are children of same God and need protection
Why to shed blood in streets instead of improving the relation?

Forget Him
Forget his name
Forget his face
Forget his smile
His warm embrace
Forget the love that you once knew
Remember that he loves somone new
Forget him when they played your song
Remember you cried all night long
Forget how close you once were
Remember he has chosen her
Forget how you memorized his walk
Forget the way he used to talk
The things he used to say
Remember he has gone away
Forget his laugh
Forget his grin
The small dimples on his chin
Forget the way he held you tight
Remember he's with her tonight
Forget the time that went fast
Forget the love that moved, it's the past
He said he'd leave you never
Remember you left him
Forever

Mystery
(handed down and made by hand)
Each time youd pull down the driveway
I wasnt sure when I would see you again
Yours was a twisted blind sided highway
No matter which road you took then
Oh you set up your place in my thoughts
Moved in and made my thinking crowded
Now were out in the back with the barking dogs
My heart the red sun
Your heart the moon clouded
I could go crazy on a night like tonight
When summers beginning to give up her fight
And every thoughts a possibility
And the voices are heard but nothing is seen
Why do you spend this time with me
Maybe an equal mystery
So what is love then is it dictated or chosen
(handed down and made by hand)
Does it sing like the hymns of 1000 years
Or is it just pop emotion
(handed down and made by hand)
And if it ever was there and it left
Does it mean it was never true
And to exist it must elude
Is that why I think these things of you
I could go crazy on a night like tonight
When summers beginning to give up her fight
And every thoughts a possibility
And the voices are heard but nothing is seen
Why do you spend this time with me
May be an equal mystery
But you like the taste of danger
It shines like sugar on your lips
And you like to stand in the line of fire
Just to show you can shoot straight from you hip
There must be a 1000 things you would die for
I can hardly think of two
But not everything is better spoken aloud
Not when Im talking to you
Oh the pirate gets the ship and the girl tonight
Breaks a bottle to christen her
Basking in the exploits of her thief
Shes a very good listener
Maybe thats all that we need
Is to meet in the middle of impossibility
Were standing at opposite poles
Equal partners in a mystery
(handed down and made by hand)
Were standing at opposite poles
Equal partners in a mystery

Shame On Me
It started out all wrong
I wasnt thinking
Everything is wrong
I couldnt see it
I guess I thought that things
Would somehow try and work themselves out
Id like to think its not so easy
To convince myself that everything is going to be ok
Shame on me this time
I was only trying to make the best of this
I should have known
Fool me once then shame on you
Again and I must choose
Between suspicion and naivete
This is what you wanted anyway
This time shame on me
I still believe Im right
Even though I understand your side
You have your reasons

Instantly Free Me From Feelings of Guilt
So personal I take my own pain.
Physical, mental.
Whatever the process...
There is nothing like doing it,
In the comfort of one's own home.
I forget sometimes,
I am suppose to dismiss it...
Whenever I am approached,
To give someone my undivided attention.
With their immediate imposition on my time,
Taken.
And unconsciously...
I quickly open my door,
As if to welcome the entire Universe for tea!
'I'm sorry to disturb you.
Is this a bad time? '
Oh? Uh...uh...
I forget sometimes,
My needs are less important...
For someone expecting me,
To dropp my priorities and focus my attention...
On their needs.
Or whatever it is they wish to share,
Immediately!
Uh...oh...No!
I was just enjoying minding my own business.
Sitting in my own space.
And hoping to have this moment...
Alone.
Drinking tea and enjoying music I love.
What on Earth was I thinking?
Company!
That's what's missing.
Company!
Come on in.
And after they have finished,
Squeezing every emotion out of me...
It seems.
I forget sometimes,
I am being tested.
I forget sometimes,
Even in my solitude...
Where the peace I love is graced,
There will be someone who believes...
Any pain I face to attempt to erase,
Needs more of their presence in my face.
With the dumping of their agonies.
So with the taking of slow deep breaths,
I sit.
Doing my best to reflect patience.
And hoping there is no notice given,
To an enforced hospitality.
'Thank you, my brother.
You have no idea how much your listening ear,
Has left me with so much peace.
I leave you now,
With the wish that God blesses you.
'Cause you know HE is good?
AND 'all' the time.
All you have to do is remember that!
You are 'never' alone.
Remember that in your prayers.
You don't have to sit mopping around.
As if you are friendless.
God is there for you.
Just remember that.
It's such a beautiful day.
I feel less burdened.
I think I'll go for a walk!
God bless.'
Even in my solitude...
Where the peace I love is graced.
There will be someone who believes,
Any pain I face to attempt to erase...
Needs more of their presence in my face.
With the dumping of their agonies.
I'll keep that in mind...my brother.
I'm glad I was able to assist!
Anytime.
Just 'pop' in anytime you wish.
'Keep God alive!
That's all you need to do.
Keep God ALIVE.'
GOD,
Please remove me from the lieing.
Or let me pretend I am not at home,
The 'next' time this happens.
And You instantly free me from feelings of guilt.
Of this...
Dear Father,
I will be eternally grateful.
Amen.

Memories
There is no time to pay my sin
And everywhere blows a firewind
Im all alone trying to survive
Its coming back into my head
Memories of the time we had
Im trying hard to stay alive
The sun is down, the day is done
The sky is dark, and Im on the run
Yesterday is so far away
The wind is strong theres something wrong
But I just have to carry on
For tomorrow is a brand new day
Cause I left you without sayin Ill go
Yes, I left you without letting you know
My memories is chasin me over mountains high
And across the sea will I ever be well again
I want the strength to carry on,
Whats done is done
I want the power in me to remain strong
