Rubaiyat 17

With fate you still hope to trade;
Passage of time should make you afraid.
You said no color comes after black,
I said my black hair to white degrade.

Shades of Grey

Black is the color of the night
Grey is the shadow of you I sight
White is the shirt you wear
Black is your suit I declare

White is the wall you lean against
Grey is our path I sensed
Black is the memory I lost
Black is the road we never crossed

Grey is the prospect of the day
Grey is the taxi driving away
Black is the truth to never find you
Black is everything I can't undo

Black is my room without light
White is my color of hope in spite
Grey is the circle around my heart
Black is the truth like a work of art

Black Is The Color Of My True Loves Hair

Traditional
Black is the color of my true loves hair
His face so soft and wondrous fair
The purest eyes
And the strongest hands
I love the ground on where he stands
I love the ground on where he stands
Black is the color of my true loves hair
Of my true loves hair
Of my true loves hair
Oh I love my lover
And where he goes
Yes, I love the ground on where he goes
And still I hope
That the time will come
When he and I will be as one
When he and I will be as one
So black is the color of my true loves hair
Black is the color of my true loves hair
Black is the color of my true loves hair

Black+White=My Life

Black-
The color of my soul
White-
The color of my spirit
Together Black and White combined
It all equals my life
The 2 only colors
That are not really colors at all
The story of my life
I am alone
I die slowly and painfully
Not a care in the world
Where I would end up
If only I would survive...
Black-
The color of my Heart
White-
The color of my Hopes and Dreams
Together again Black and White reunite as one
As you can tell
The 2 only colors of my life are Black and White
As if you care
You rather see me suffer in vain
You keep heaeing me say I am alone
Well now you know its true

Red

There are three colores,
Each a meaning,
in its own,
a little more important,
Than the rest.

White is calm, white is blank,
white is pure and white is clean,
white is the color of doves,
white is the color of here and there,
white is pure.

Black is dark, black is full,
Black is absent and black is stained,
Black is the color of night,
Black is the color of life and death,
Black is dark.

There is one other to say,
The one that flows within,
This color is not white,
but it is pure,
this color is not black,
But it is dark,

This color is all,
It is calm, it is blank,
It is dark, it is full,
both pure and stained,
clean and absent,
it is life it is death,
it is here and it is there,
this is the color,
of everything,

It is red.

We Dream In Color

Dream sequence
(wake up, wake up, wake up, time to dream)
(wake up, time to dream)
We dream, we dream, we dream in color
Wake me up in the middle of the night, tell me what youve seen
Ivory clouds in a sea of blue, fields of endless green
But we lie here and we search for stars
Or big bad letters all the way from mars
The sky is black and the moon is pale, and we cry for this world of ours
In the dark we still believe (oh you know that we still believe)
In the dark we see
Chorus:
We dream in color - but we live in black and white
We dream in color - like a rainbow in the night
We dream of peace, we dream of love, but still the dream is not enough
We dream in color
Oh yes we dream
I wake up in the middle of the day, locked within this cell
The sun is weak on the gun gray street, a cold and concrete hell
So I close my eyes and remember the days
Of a blood red sky and a purple haze
The flag was yours and the flag was mine, but we let it fade away
In the dark we still believe (oh you know that we still believe)
In the dark we see
We dream in color - but we live in black and white
We dream in color - like a rainbow in the night
We dream of peace, we dream of love, but still the dream is not enough
We dream in color
(guitar solo)
This is where it all comes down, this is where the truth is found
Someones gotta keep this dream alive
We dream in color - but we live in black and white
We dream in color - like a rainbow in the night
We dream of peace, we dream of love, we dream of life!
We dream in color
We dream in color - we dream, yes we dream
We dream in color - but we live in black and white
We dream in color - and hold on to each other
We dream in color - lover to lover, sister to brother, we hold on
We dream in color
We dream in color - we dream
We dream in color - we dream...

Black men, White men

should i be led to believe
that the white men's heart
is soft as cotton? and when
touched, is torched, bursts into flame
to settle comfortably in black,
a trail of humble lesson for the soul

should i be led to believe
that a black man's heart is
full of courage? charging like a bull
through America black or white
settling for nothing in between?

should i be led to believe that
black and white work the
theory of ying and yang
ever balancing to rev up the world?
rice would even grow in bush
black hair turns eventually into
a crown of white wisdom
and blackboards light up
knowledge in white chalk
white shines at its best in black
and where else but a piece of white
where black could make its clearest stamp
of its stand - left or right, right or wrong

I am a rose

What color am I? Am I red, pink, white, oh wait I am black...
Black is the color of many dark secret places and or ideas, which we may never want to enter...
So why do I feel like I am a black rose? Do I have secrets hidden so deep that no one can even sense them?
I wish I were a red and or a white rose. Those two colors can mean many of things but what you find the most is that of marriage...
Red is the color of love and white is the color in which we use mostly for a wedding. I want my darkness to turn to light. With my color of a rose may the light bring out a marriage...
I am a rose of many colors which one are you? ? ?

A Mixed Breed

I have the blood of a white man,
My papa's blood that is.
I have the blood of a black woman,
My mama's blood that is.
And so my blood is a mixture
Of blood that's hers and his.

It courses through my veins each day
With its color imbed.
And every time I have cut myself
The color of it's red.
Can't tell which is my papa's
Or mama's that I see?
Only thing I really see
Is it doesn't matter to me.

I've been loved by black and white.
I've been hated too.
Sometimes at night while I'm in bed
I wonder when I'm through
Will I be judged by the color of my skin
Which is neither black nor white?
Or the blood that gave to me my life
as I tried to do everything right?

Not all blacks

Diamonds are black,
hairs are black,
eyes are also black,
but heart too black?

Bear no grudge,
colours matter less,
does mother throw her child?
if kid is black,

Colour may not remain and vanish,
body may still last but perish,
idea may remain and also cherish,
hatred may remain and us finish,

Body may change from time to time,
The color may fade with passage of time,
nature may not change even with time,
do our feelings change with time?

'Thy' may not appreciate,
human beings should not differentiate,
race, colour and abuse should not substantiate,
where will you seek refuge if atmosphere vitiate?

Let colour not dominate,
race should not subordinate,
let all come together and co-ordinate,
make use of all and not denigrate,

My God was black,
still was loved by many,
Poor are still not hated
even have no money,

I may say it loud,
May feel even proud,
Does that ring so sound?
Let love for all be found,

Let there prevail nationalism,
take credit with idealism,
rationale thinking and some rationalism,
”Ism” all over but term it patriotism,

Sentiments not hurt by calling black,
no wars be fought even stabbed from back,
always carry the ideas in your pack,
remain alert even if you draw a flake,

when out from mother’s womb or mines,
diamond or child will have no shine,
if go by sayings black will not to be liked
with shine in diamond, price will be hiked,

Neither the Black represent dark,
not the dark as word black,
Black may have kind heart,
white may have black,

So say not black is bad,
With black son don’t feel sad,
You will feel good with word dad,
without black or white you will go mad

Not Like Any Other Color

This is no joke
This is no egg-yoke
Black is not like any other color
Black has its unique beauty
Its own charm and splendor
It is the color of the reality
It is the absence of the sun
It is the exile of the moon
Black is the last color
That we will see before crossing the border.

Black can be positive
Or negative
Depending on someone’s perception
Interest or observation
Because of ignorance
And lack of experience
Many neophytes unfortunately use that color
As a scapegoat, as a traitor
Who can stab in the groin or in the back
Charcoal is black, coffee is black.

At times, it may not be apparent
Black is beautiful and different
It is the color of the night
It is the absence of light
It is the last color
That we will see before crossing the border
Where no color exists afterwards
Where there are no sounds, no words
No opinions, no aroma and no prejudice
There live absolute serenity and peace.

Thursday Afternoon

Her life is a show
One act follows the other everywhere she goes
She takes the leading role
She never plays herself
Save for the time shes on the stage
Color her black or white
Now either one reflects the teardrops
One extreme for the other
Nothing in between
Color her white for the princess she could be
Color her black for the troubled child she plays so well
Well shes dancing through hell on a dream
And blue is soul of the one
Reaching for the man that she hasnt got yet
And holding on to those hearts for lost causes
She could be so bright
But shes reaching for us all
Color her blue for the loneliness she feels
Shes hiding her heart in the sky
And this is a thursday afternoon
Its just another thursday afternoon
Its just another thursday afternoon
Color me grey
Im a little bit of everything today
And Im not sure just where Im going
Color me grey
Wishing I was something more of distinction
Color us all cause were just stars
Wishing our lives away
Into the distance
And out of existence
Color her black or white
Color her blue
Or color me grey
Color us all - were stars
Wishing our lives away
Now were stars

Get Off My Black

Color of my skin
Is how you judge me
Darker than you
Is the mark of a dangerous man
That is the one thought
You carry
Don't look closer
To see who I really am
So afraid
Too afraid
To know the real truth
So you hide behind a
White man's lies

Temper
I can't adjust
To the rules you make
Losing control
When you refuse my hand
Say you are better
Then a black man
Lazy
You call me
Yet, who is the one
Doing all your houseold chores
Carrying your load
While you play golf
Cheat on your wife

Alive with feeling
Bleed just like you
My blood
As red as yours
Yet still I am pushed away
Shown to the back door
No better than a dog
Just won't stand
For what it is
You're trying to do
As good as you
Deserve the same you get
My life worth just as much
No matter my color

May not be white
But I'm still a man
Made by the same God as you
Born under the same sun and moon
Created equal in his eyes
But never in yours
Just gotta make you see white boy
My point of view
Ain't no slave
Ain't lesser then you
I just wanna ya to listen
Understand when I say
Back off
Don't make that same mistake again

Just get off my black!

Zebra Child

I’m not black
I’m not white
I’m a Zebra Child.

My father skin is fare like a pinkish cloud.
My mother skin is dark like coco.
My skin is both swirled into a light caramel color.

I’m not black
I’m not white
I’m a Zebra Child.

My eyes are hazel with a hint of blue.
My hair is kinky yet manageable.
While I have African hips
I also have European lips.

I’m not black
I’m not white
I’m a Zebra Child.

I relish my difference
Although some times
I envy others similarity.

But I am what I am.

I’m not black
I’m not white
I’m a Zebra Child.

Love Has No Color

(pilson, hendrix)
Imagine if you had a second chance at life
What would you change that time to try and make it right
With black and white, uniting colors everywhere
When all the violence stops will love be in air
With living theres hope
Youve only got to care, oh yeah
No matter how far down you go
Theres always a way back
Lets all come together now
A whole lotta loving is what we need
Join hands now brothers and sisters
Dont you see its time for a change
Everyones afraid to believe
Love has no color
Love has no color
Mr politician how do you sleep
Youre making promises you know youll never keep
Were gonna spread the message all across the land
Lay down your arms so we can hold each others hands
With living theres hope
Youve got to understand, oh yeah
You know that while theres a still a sun
There always wuill be light
Lets all come together now now
A whole lotta loving is what we need
Join hands now brothers and sisters
Dont you see its time for a change
Everyones afraid to believe
Love has no color
Love has no color
Lets all come together now now
Love has no color
Join hands now brothers and sisters
A whole lotta loving is what we need
Lets all comes together now now
A whole lotta loving is what we need, yeah
Join hands now brothers and sisters
Dont you see its time for a change
Everyones afraid to believe
Believe in love
You know you gotta believe
Believe in love
Got to got to believe
Believe in love
You know you gotta believe
Believe in love
Love has no color
Believe in love
Love has no color
Believe in love
Love has no color
Believe in love
You know you know you know you gotta believe
Believe in love

Colors

There was a black man
There was a blue man
They hated each other
For the color of the skin
They both believed the other
To be the offspring of some great sin...
One dark day
They got into a helluva fight
Each believing to be in the right
They beat upon each other
Through and through
They beat each other black and blue,
Until finally
They both did come to see
How much alike
They'd come to be.
Now there is a black man
There is a blue man
Together they stand
Once divided by the color of the skin
Never more shall they
Be blinded that way again...
Black or white
Yellow or red
The color of the skin
Is truly all inside the head,
And the colors in the head
Come out in the words
That are said,
And the words
That are said
Can leave the heart so alive,
Or, utterly dead.
It's a choice to make:
Either for the image of the soul
Or, for the color of the skins sake;
The darkness of night
Or, the beauty from
The colors of the
Light.

~Reconciliation~

A black woman migrates to Europe
War devastated Germany in she finds a tolerant white widower to cope
Years some later a mulatto is born with arrear
Unluckily the newborn not so towards white but usual spirally knotted hair
She grows up and gets because of her white father´s repute a government job
Ego came out spontaneous in black aggression as corn on the cob
Her work by job agency comes mostly foreigners for demonstrations
Majority a jobless black immigrant who has not the lucky touch of Midas parentage in confrontations
She looks of blacks down and she herself is black
When asked to justify says she is more white hidden traits back
She repeats her satisfaction from day to day
Until she went to a white german barber for hair trim and foam some day
Your hair is another says the white old barber woman
I have no experience and i cut not those hairs as talisman
Go to a black barber she added
They understand more your hair as they the same headed

Black and White and Red

Black and White
And Red I see
Demons they do
Torture me
Black and White
And Red all day
The voices are real
Or so they say
Black and White
And Red abound
I'm lost I call
I'm never found
Black and White
And Red flow out
I scream but you
Don't hear me shout
Black and White
And Red so bright
Exit blood and
Enter light
Black and White
And Red of death
Now I breathe
My final breath

Racist: I Have Saw Discrimination

Don't be a hater, a racist, evil
because I SAW discrimination
One day not so long ago a white man walked into a cafe'
and rudely asked a BLACK man to leave the seat
WELL! ! ! ! the BLACKman turned around and started composing one of
the most beautiful but unknown speeches in that time
'Sir when you were born you were pink,
when you're sick you're green
when you die you'll be pale
when you're angry you're red
and when you're hurt you're blue!
When I was born i was BLACK,
when i'm sick i'm BLACK
when i die i'll be BLACK
when i'm angry i'm BLACK
and when i'm hurt i'm BLACK
YOU know that and you dare to make a deal of my color?
That was what discrimination deserves
Everything is done for a reason
And i saw discrimination so i could tell YOU
