The Cup Is Overflowing
THE CUP IS OVERFLOWING
The cup is overflowing-
I have been given so so much-
And yet like so many I know
There is always something else
To be more wanted.
When the valley of the shadow death overcomes
Will I still be complaining
Of what I have not yet been given?

Overflowing
The glass you have in your hand
Overflowing juice
On the white mantel
You laugh at me
I am filled with envy
And then you notice
The mess
Of this overflowing madness
You want to make things
Clean again
You take the excess
And throw them away
You rub it with rags
The stains are there and
You regret
These matters of
What you do not need
I wait
And inside me I too laugh
You could have given things away
Throw them all
If you only ask me
That was what I did when I was young
And too hardheaded
I’ve known what overflowing madness is
Once, twice, thrice
Almost I was destroyed
And I did the throwing before it was dark
And it was not too late
And I had no regrets

A Stone Birdbath!
A stone birdbath overflowing with snow,
Under an arch of ivy vine
Bright green leaves are long gone
A stone birdbath overflowing with snow!
A bemused bird hovering over–not know
It used to take its fill – devine
A stone birdbath overflowing with snow
Under an arch of ivy branches!

Valentine's Day
She was the color of TV
her mouth curled under like a metal snake
although Holy Wood was sad
they'd remember this as Valentine's day
flies are waiting
In the Shadow of the Valley of Death
In the Shadow of the Valley of Death
slit our wrists and send us to heaven
the first flower after the flood
I saw that pregnant girl today
she didn't know that it was dead inside
even though it was alive
some of us are really born to die
flies are waiting
In the Shadow of the Valley of Death
In the Shadow of the Valley of Death
slit our wrists and send us to heaven
the first flower after the flood

I Think It`s Going To Rain Today
Lonely, lonely,
Tin can at my feet.
Think i'll kick it down the street,
That's the way to treat a friend
Broken windows and empty hall ways
Pale dead moon in a sky streaked with grey
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today
Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles
With frozen smiles to chase love away.
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think its going to rain today.
Right before me, the signs implore me
Help the needy and show them the way
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today.

Stranger In The Crowd
(words & music by winfield scott)
Ive been standing on a corner
Since a quarter after seven
I was down to my last cigarette
And the clock in the window
At a quarter to eleven
I was watching all the people
Passing by me going places
Just the loneliest guy in the town
Looking for a friendly smile
But all I see were faces
And then, just like the taste of milk and honey
I found the stranger Ive been looking for
Like a wave, my cup of love was overflowing
I knew the stranger in the crowd
And I would be stranger no more
The love that comes on the corner
At a quarter to eleven
I thought you were to good to be true
All my life I had believed
That angels only live in heaven
But now, we share the taste of milk and honey
Each day is sweeter than the day before
My cup runned overflowing
Because the stranger in the crowd
And I would be stranger no more
Deep inside, my cup of love was overflowing
I found the stranger Ive been looking for
Like a wave, my cup of love was overflowing
I knew the stranger in the crowd
And I would be stranger no more

Spring
This springtide was not something
to excite the senses
but an overflowing of the heart.
Pure joy.
‘Love thou the rose but leave it on its stem.’
An overflowing of the heart
which sees its images,
reflected everywhere,
existing nowhere
but in itself.
Always the sun shines
in Portsonachon,
in Wien,
in the silence of the mind.
‘Heureux qui, comme Ulysse, a fait un beau voyage.’
This voyage
(with Rilke’s Silent Angel looking on)
was it a beginning
or an ending?
‘Les vrais voyageurs sont ceux-là qui partent pour partir.’
No beginning then.
And no end.

Pure Life
Where is your life going?
Is your water in a waterfall, dropping, and getting worse?
Or is it filling your glass, overflowing, and getting better?
Is your water still there?
Not evaporating?
Being dried up by the sun?
Are you losing time?
Do you watch how your water flows?
Water is pure and signifies life.
How is your life?
Or are you sad, with your water raining tears?
Is your water warm or cold?
Is your water steam or ice?
Is your soul cold or warm?
I hope your water is overflowing like a fountain with joy.
Not everyone's water has to be evaporating.
Remember to always watch where lifes heading.
Because maybe your water will mix and lives will intertwine.
Be with that person forever.

Beautiful Flower
The most beautiful flower
filling my senses with passion
overflowing my being with plenty
pulling away my pain
filling my emptiness with cool water
joining my soul without reason
I can feel the sweet taste of love embracing my heart
to touch this most beautiful flower
filling my senses with warmth
pulling the harsh cold snow from my heart
overflowing my eyes with sunbeams of hope
between my mind and my dreams...
I caress this flower, this most beautiful flower
filling my thoughts with daydreams of reality
opening my eyes to the greatest truth
this most beautiful flower.

Sinkin In
Ive been blown away, Ive been swept off my feet
Lost at love because I wasnt ready
So its safe to say, Ive got just what I need
Fallin for you was so slow and steady
Love is sinkin in, bit by bit
Drop by drop, please dont stop
til my heart is overflowing
Cant help, thinkin this, is the one
And from the way its goin
This time its deeper than its ever been
When two people care, and they just take their time
Love can be a whole lot more than magic
When youre in my arms, and you whisper
Youre mine
I cant believe just how good I have it
Love is sinkin in, bit by bit
Drop by drop, please dont stop
til my heart is overflowing
Cant help, thinkin this, is the one
And from the way its goin
This time its deeper than its ever been

You have to fill your cup. You then give away the overflowing, but you keep a cupful for yourself.

High and Buzzed
I met a new love.
Yes I met a new love.
And the clouds cleared up.
And my heart got a rush,
With an overflowing gush...
That fills my cup!
Aaaahhh met a new love.
Oh, I met a new love.
And with a slow stride I strut,
Got my chest puffed up.
Like I can't get enough,
Feeling high...
And buzzed from love.
Yes I met a new love.
Aaaahhh met a new love.
And the clouds cleared up.
And my heart got a rush,
With an overflowing gush...
That fills my cup!
Feeling high...
And buzzed!

End Myself
In the night I walk a lonesome path
One that has led me beyond a mortal death
With a swift movement of my body I cast my charm
With this I can do deadly harm
I bring myself to life with a thick and rich crimson flood
Your life essence will bring warmth to my cold blood
In the hours of the sun I lay in my isolation
My heart is overflowing with desolation
Here I lay asleep, dreaming of the beauty of the day
In my crypt wishing for death, will I end myself, I just may
