Rockets Fall On Sderot Chanukah 5768
ROCKETS FALL ON SDEROT CHANUKAH 5768
This is no day for a poem
Rage and rain and mud
Darkness covers the earth
Our haters multiply their weapons
Rockets and bombs fall upon us
We hide
Waiting for the right moment
To strike.
Will it ever end
The hatred
The cruelty
The endless effort to destroy us?
Rockets at random terrorize
The children and the poor
Nights are not nights
And days are not days
When death and destruction
Can come at any time.
We are an old people
Long longing for peace
And our enemies multiply
And their weapons also
And hate is their breakfast and their dinner
And destruction is their main food.
And we alone as always alone
We the alone people
Waiting to make one more small strike
Against their leaders,
In a war against hatred and haters
which makes no promise
now or ever
Of ever truly ending.

Early Works - Understanding
With a little understanding and humility,
this world would be a better place for you and me.
Instead of bullets, bombs and rockets
we’d have love between our neighbours and families.
Instead of death, destruction and misery
we’d have outstretched hands of friendship
from stranger we did not know.
No cause is worth the death of one man
no matter what that cause may be.
For love and understanding
is all anyone ever needs.
When all the bullets and bombs are gone,
what kind of world will be left,
the answer lies within ourselves?
Within our faith and understanding,
we must look at our enemies
try and understand their plight.
Not with weapons of mass destruction,
but with hope and understanding
that they have rights like us,
then maybe one day
we’ll all live under an umbrella
of peace and harmony.

Haters I Love When You Hate Me
haters i love it when they hate
they hate on me because
i look better and dress better
but why do haters hate me
haters hate me because i steal their men
and make them want me
and hate them and
that's why haters hate me
why do haters hate you
you have better things and bigger rings
fancy thing and material things well
that's why i love when haters
hate on me and
and i tell them to keep hate
hate me if you want
hate me if you might
hate me if I'm wrong
or hate me if I'm right
hate me because I'm good looking
hate me because you are not
hate me because I'm pretty
hate me because you are ugly
hate me for whatever reason
hate me with everything you got
hate me for ignoring you
hate me for not hating you
hate me for not sinking to your level
hate me every minute of everyday
hate me for being stronger than you
hate me because I'm the person you want to be
hate me because you are pitiful
hate on.......

I Believe In Nigeria
With so many battles and killings,
with slim chances of healings.
Our peace has been taking away from us,
and our glory days are far behind us.
Our nation has been torn apart,
by those whose love are from our heart.
With tears runing down our cheek,
with the killings and violence at its peak.
Every where is been flooded by innocent blood,
and our treasure been lost in the mud.
Everyday we live our lives in fear,
with so much pain that we can't bear.
People been nurtured to the highest level of hatred,
and now innocent lives are been affected.
Hatred has given birth to death,
and death taking away our precious life on earth.
With people living their lives in hell,
even when they mean to do well.
Properties are been destroyed everyday,
and thousands of lives are been laid to rest each day.
Is it a crime to be a human? ,
or is it a sin to be a nigerian? .
Is it a cause to crave for peace in our nation? ,
a nation thats moving closer to the point of destruction.
Each day our kneels are planted on the ground in prayers,
to erradicate pains that is been inflited by peace haters.
All i know is that all hope is not lost,
because in the ebullent nigerian spirit i trust.
No matter the trouble we may be going through today,
it will be a testimony we'll say some day.
For every pain that we feel in our heart now,
the peace of heaven will erase it some how.
For every sacrifice we make for the peace of our country,
will go a long way to erase every of our misery.
No matter the level of destruction in our neighbour hood,
i believe one day everything will change for good.

When Will Africa Unite
Down below the ground come the voices of the great heroes
The pillars of Africa in those days........
From the west come the cries of grief
From the horizon flows the blood of Africa
Children with tattered clothes roam about the the streets
Innocent people are neglected at the mercy of death
Under the African sun, nations are fighting nations
While tribes are also fighting each other for leadership
Seemingly superior and mighty ones look down on the
seemingly inferior
Brothers bury their own relatives out of hatred and jealousy,
not to talk about chieftainship
Favoritism and nepotism is the order of the day.......
Gone are the days when the forefathers were around
Those days when they were the pillars of Africa
Theirs was a plethora of sacrifice, the kind Africa is lacking now
Africa whose hope and glory is vanishing into thin air
Africa whose own people are against each other
When will Africa unite to fulfill the promise of long ago?
When will Africa learn to love and desist from hatred?
When will Africa stop and repair the destruction caused by the ignorance of her own people
Be united and defend yourself
And know that 'Together we stand; Divided we fall'.

From Hopelessness to Hope By: Cay Thorne
Some people have a lot of hope
Some have a little hope in their lives
Some have just a good moment of hope to live on
Some just don’t believe in hope
In war there is hope
Hope for peace and love between everyone
Peace for all weapons of man to be destroyed
Which starts wars and hatred
Hope equals opportunities
Opportunities that starts with courage
Courage that begins with self esteem
Self esteem that begins with confidence
Confidence in self begins with hope
Hope begins with self love
Love begins with self confidence
Self confidence that begins with kindness
Kindness is a key to love
Love is hope within your life
Life without love is hopeless
No matter the size or quality
Of love given and received
Life with self doubt
Is an unhealthy life
A life full of hopelessness
A hopelessness that can destroy
A disaster that can end a perfect strong life
Full of love faith and hope
A life which isn’t full of demons and fears
Demons and fears that eat;
That eats at your very soul
Like an inoperable cancer
A soul which can be purer;
Purer by faith and love
That leads to self confidence
Within which leads to high self esteem
A self esteem that equals God’s
God’s never ending faith and love for you
God’s belief in you is worthy;
Worthy of total happiness and love
Happiness which destroys hatred
Hatred that can cause self destruction
Destruction on all levels of self
Only way to conquer self destruction
Is by having love, peace and faith in yourself
Faith in your self to change no matter the size
Peace to guard you through hard times
Love is a beacon of God’s belief and trust in you
Kindness that destroys all self-hopelessness.
A hopeless world can cause war
War causes death of self belief within yourself
The only way to cure
This unwanted monster
On hopelessness is yourself
Is to believe in love, faith and peace
And in a major thing within God
Which we find peace, faith, love and hope
For all mankind, animals and everything on Earth
Hope from God kills hopelessness
Its up to us with God’s help
To destroy our own hopelessness
In every single aspect of ourselves.

The Night I Painted The Sky
I came from the north
Escaping convention
Modern invention that wont let me be
To the shores of st. martin
With my fiction addiction
To restart the fire
A dreamers remedy
Independence day
And all I remember
Was a midnight rainbow
That fell from the sky
As I stand on the beach
I slowly surrender
To the child in me
That cant say goodbye
The rockets in the air
And the people everywhere
Put away their differences for a while
Oh I am still a child
When it comes to something wild
Oh that was the night
I painted the sky
I dug in the sand
Like a boy on a mission
And there in my hands
A pyros delight
If un bombadier
A night time magician
I sparked the sky
As the rockets fly from view
The rockets in the air
And the people everywhere
Put away their differences for a while
Es I am still a child
When it comes to something wild
Oh that was the night
I painted the sky
Oh the mortars they roar
In anticipation
Proceeding the sigh
Of the uplifted eyes
It showers us all
In sulfuric sensation
The colors shine
And a fiery rhyme tonight
The rockets in the air (ooooh...)
And the people everywhere
Wont you put away your differences for a while
I am but a child
When it comes to something wild
Oh that was the night
That was the night
Oh that was the night
I painted the sky
Painted the sky
Painted the sky

Still Waiting
All my friends tell me
About the loves theyve had
Cant they see what theyre doing to me?
It makes me feel so bad
cause Im so alone
And brokenhearted
It aint like my life is ended
But more like it never started
The love my friends rap about I keep anticipating
I try so hard but dont you know, my patience is fading away
Still waiting
Im waiting for that love
Still waiting
I wish on every star above
Still waiting
Waiting for the love to come around
Oh, love.
Waiting for the love to come around
People say that Im too young
Too young to fall in love
But they dont know, they really dont know
Thats all that Ive been dreaming of
cause I spend my nights just a-crying
And I spend my days just a-trying
To find that love to call my own
cause Im sick and tired of being alone
Still waiting
Waiting for that love
Still waiting
I wish on every star above
Still waiting
Im waiting for the love to come around.
(waiting for the love) dont you know that Im waiting
(waiting for the love) say..
(waiting for the love) to come around now
I need somebody to hold on to baby
Waiting and waiting, dont you know that im
Still waiting
Im waiting for the love, sugar
Still waiting
If youre out there girl, please come to me
Still waiting
Dont make me cry no more
Still waiting
If youre out there, baby, please come to me
Still waiting
Wishing and wishing for days, baby
Still waiting
If youre out there, girl, please come to me
Still waiting

Spring Grove Rockets
We are Spring Grove Rockets.
So pull that money out of your pockets.
Because you know that we can stop it you just love to watch us block it.
Because we are the SPRING GROVE ROCKETS
We launch our hearts from the start
So don't try to braek us apart
We are strong
We are brave
We've got you beaten
to the grave

Rocket
Sleeping late on
Warm afternoon
Waking up to
Bright silver moon
Silent words from
My heart to you
My empty filled
Filled up with you
Rockets fly
Rockets fly
I slip another smile in your pocket
My heart is racing to you like a rocket
Rockets fly
Rockets fly
I slip another smile in your pocket
My heart is racing to you like a rocket
The two of us we dream like one
Our energy could light the sun
The two of us take breath as one
The two of us... The two of us...

Put Down Your Weapons!
Put down your weapons...
And the ammunition fed,
To spread your hatred!
On whose souls do you believe,
Are crushed to bleed as you succeed...
In what?
To do what for who and why?
The selling of an advance life...
To live in a living hell to dwell?
To raise more of it as you see fit?
Put down your weapons.
What peace is received by depleting the Earth?
With a mental disease perceiving a self worth.
What is it you think is being achieved?
In an atmosphere of religious differences...
With falsities conceived
To reveal racist contempt!
From misconceived interpretations meant,
To explore your won destruction?
To allow a rise to the top to breathe,
Hollow victories...
That leaves a quality of life left to bleed.
To say there has been 'something' conquered.
Put down your weapons!
Confess your digressions.
Put down your weapons!
At let God restore your mind...
To a peace you say you fight to find.
Put down your weapons.
Or all life once known,
Will be left behind to rot to dust...
From which the Earth it came!
Before your selfishness grew to be shown!
To display your degradations?
Last chance!
PUT
DOWN
YOUR
WEAPONS
Put them down!
And learn from past lessons.
They are all around.
With everyone trying to prove themselves,
The greatest of fools!

Shadows of Hate
Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Hiding in the shadows is now where I can feel it home so why not just
stay there
Shadow peaceful still quiet at last
So why must we all destroy them with bombs and guns and all the
flashes in the weapons still be there
Why must we always make so much noise in this world that takes away
the peacefulness of the shadows
Why must we always kill each other use so much violence in the world
to make so many into graves just because of thing like
Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Power
All those people need to be sent into the shadows just to know what
they can truly hide from the world
To truly know all the people that love to be in shadows that grew up
living in them and know how much they can come in to hand when all
that people fear is in them
And those people all the only ones that can come even remotely close
to being truly afraid of the light
So why do people destroy the darkness
Hate
So why do people stay away from the darkness
Fear
So why must people kill the people of the shadows
Anger
What can make all people stay together even in darkness
Love
Why must people always try to control the shadows
Power
All people are evil but nobody will ever notice it
Through all their own evil will shine through

The Fourth Of July (Love And Rockets Red Glare)
On this night of patriotic celebration
We find a special place to hide away
for a while
Just for the two of us
Under the boardwalk
We lay a blanket down and spread it out
Sitting on the blanket
The time has come
And so
One by one
Fireworks and rockets go off
As they go off
We exchange hugs and kisses
While still making time to see the beauty
and magic happening in the sky
On the Fourth of July
As the fireworks and celebration continue
On this Fourth of July
You and I can both agree
We wouldn't want to be anywhere else
Anywhere else in the world
On this Fourth of July
On the Fourth of July
For us
Tonight
It's definitely love and rockets red glare
Love and rockets red glare
All over

Hiroshima almost returning
I saw Buccaneer bombers lined up
with bombs being loaded into bomb bays,
the ultimate of weapons coloured
in copper red with lead tips,
with pilots waiting on the attack command
strapped into their cockpits,
canopies closing,
taxiing to takeoff positions
and then again waiting there,
later switching engines off
and I wondered where these men
would unleash the manmade suns
if and when the attack command come
and if there would be winter, death and disaster
for a thousand years
and if this action would bring us endless tears
with similar retaliation in return
from some sympathetic soviet superpower
as a token of goodwill
to the countries being attacked
and far too clever for me were those
weapons of mass destruction,
that had the ability to burn even shadows
right into concrete
but luckily the order never came to proceed.

I want to go home
Right through the night
the armour is rolling forward.
Cannon thunder,
while rockets
blow the enemy to bits.
I want to go home
where the sun
goes peacefully through the pepper tree
and the dogs
lie and wait on top of plants
There are people dying everywhere
and some are wounded
and missiles and bombs rain down
and grenades and guns keep going of
and death takes its toll around me.
I am deprived of peace and rest and a life
and I want to go home
and stand under the avocado tree
and see the avocados fall
and see the sun set over the ridges
and live a life again
and avoid bloodshed forever more.

In Far Too Many Numbers They Rise (In Answer To Maya Angelou)
There are many facts in history
of people both ignorant and wise;
at times I look with incredulity
at how people multiply to rise
having as many children as they can do,
with diarrhoea, living in gloom,
with blown up bellies where food run through,
living in the very red-brown dirt in doom
without a look of hope in their eyes
where president-for-life dictators govern
with an iron rod, not hearing weakened cries,
while for civilization, for food they yearn;
where platinum, gold and copper mines
are sold to the Chinese, are from the country apart,
while parts of Africa goes into total decline
and to make a living is extremely hard.
Does this poem of mine offend you?
Unfortunately I do not deal in lies,
unfortunately these facts are very true
and to some people it’s no surprise
as AIDS, poverty, pestilence runs as a black tide
that comes in unstoppable waves of pain
from which very few of the poorest people can hide,
as far too many deaths happen again and again
and from this destruction very few get clear
while for something better they constantly crave
as their daily lives are always lived in fear,
as far too many go to a very early grave.
Still people multiply to rise under blue harsh skies
in far too many numbers, to never be free,
from lives that many of them do despise,
from lives lived in constant poverty.

We Kill The World
I see mushrooms, atomic mushrooms.
I see rockets, missiles in the sky.
Day by day, more and more,
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, poor world.
Concrete's rising up,
Where yearerday was park
You heard the robin's song
Heavy tractor runs
Where air was clean and cool
Make money, bringing fuel.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
A poor world, poor world.
Fishes doomed to die
As people live close by
And oaktree falls with moon
Parking lots will come
With flowerfields were bright
As junkyard covers sight!
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, is hurting bad,
Poor world, is doomed to die.
We kill the world
Kill the world
We surely do
In peace we do!
We kill the world
Kill the world
'cause we don't know
What we are doing!
We kill it
One by one
Don't realize!
And nuclear piles stand like monuments
Of destruction throughout over the country
Promenades must go
So cars can drive in row
New fact'ry towers tall
Farmhouse had to fall
No flowers in the air
Pollution everywhere.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
A poor world, poor world.
Oceans in despair
There's rubbish everywhere
The seaweed chokes in mud
Nature's had her lot
With nuclear waste and rot
And mushrooms bloom as clouds.
Where will this lead to
And what is this good for?
Poor world, is hurting bad,
Poor world, is doomed to die.
We kill the world...
Don't kill the world
Don't let her down.
Do not destroy basic ground.
Don't kill the world
Our means of life.
Lend ear to nature's cry.
Don't kill the world
She's all we have,
And surely is worth to save.
Don't let her die,
Fight for her trees,
Pollution robs air to breathe.
Don't kill the world
Help her survive
And she'll reward you with life
And don't just talk,
Go on and do the one, who wins is you.
Cherish the world,
A present from god
On behalf of all creatures,
Made by the lord
Care for the earth,
Foundation of life
Slow progress down help her survive

3rd World Mentality
maybe
it's my '3rd world' mentality
that makes me of aware of 'nuclear education'
being the best mode of American travel
and not a Iranian Camel
pertaining to remaining alive
beyond 6 Egyptian days
in a 3rd world country
miles away from Israel's border.
i sit in my 3rd world country
and i'm no longer left to wonder
why i'm taken for granted
and why so many nuclear countries
are concerned about what
'weapons of mass destruction'
am i cookin' with propane
in the desert
when so many missiles
are pointed and threatening me
with turning the sands into glass
from the 'desert storm'
of their first strike.
how many warning signs do i need? ? ?
when i know i have enemies
that plan my destruction
and find me distasteful to live with
(who are not even my neighbors)
as others who hate
preach & cheerlead my demise
plan to feed my 3rd world country
with a un-healthy diet of violence
my neighbor Iraq now feeds on
as soon as
my 'nuclear education' is near completion.
as i prepare for the situation to get worse
i tell my countrymen
mutual destruction
guarantees some form of fair fight
no matter who delivers the first nuclear blow
and the only 'question' to peace… is war
when the bully threathens to 'air-mail'
something 'holocaust' nasty
and one is 'forced' to answer back
with something a bit more uglier
and globally warmed over
from the sands of Iran...
when they do.
