At the end of another silence
Nothing more can be said -
The silences continue on in another way
The world does not open
Time and Change have made prisoners of us all

Silence is an absence
Silence is profound
Silence is a conversation
Being had without sound

Although it is a word

SILENCE IS NOT ENOUGH
Silence is not enough
The human needs words and sentences
Speech and meaning
Silence and waiting in silence
And loving silence so much
Are not enough

SILENCE CAME AFTER DAYS OF STRUGGLE WITH WORDS
Silence came after days of struggle with words
After many awkward failures
Out of the understanding

I want you to see and understand
The burden on my heart and brain
The burden which weigh more than my body
