After All I Struggle On As I Am

AFTER ALL I STRUGGLE ON AS I AM

After all I struggle on as I am-
I dreamed something different and greater
But I have come to something less than I hoped -
And I have still to go on
When nothing says the ‘transformation’ I long worked for
Will ever come.

Still I pray I will continue in dignity as long as I can
And not fall into disgrace or shame or total helplessness-

But having lived this life
I know I cannot know
What will come
And how to prevent
A bad and prolonged sad and bitter end.

Respect The Struggle

Respect the struggle
Strive to prevail
Stop wondering
What’s fake or real
Respect the hustle
You can not fail
Get on your feet
Let your spirit set sail
Respect the hard times
For what they are worth
They teach us a lot
But they indeed do hurt
Respect the real
Ignore the fake
The fake will take
What you worked hard, to make
Respect the wise
For they kno wisdom
When they breathe no longer
Do not forget them
Respect the game
Even if you don’t win
You have to learn to lose
In order to win
Respect the dignity
That no one can take
Be strong
Sooo you won’t break
Respect the process
Of life it’s self
Whether poor or rich
Life is a gift
But when it get’s hard
It’s almost cursed
Respect the rewards
For working hard
But don’t let that
Taint who you are
Respect the struggle of
Life’s a bitter sweet curse
But you can turn that around
And make it a blessing in the works
That feels sooo good
It needs no words
My friend,
This is the end of my
Bitter sweet words

Man Has To Struggle

(Van Morrison)
Man makes his money and they call him rich
Deep down inside he knows that life's still a bitch
Man tries to keep things but they're taken away
Man has to struggle all the live long day
Man has to sweat and toil his life filled with trouble
Man got to step and fetch it on the double
Man has to work so hard to make it all pay
Man has to struggle all the live long day
Man keeps on moving 'cos he can t keep still
Man has to set his goals and climb up the hill
Man sees the mountains and the deep blue sky
Man has to struggle till the day that he die
Well yes siree Bob them there's the breaks
That's how it is my friend don't make no mistake
Man has to take some action all of the time
Man by his nature's never satisfied
Man just can't vegetate no matter what they say
Man has to make it all the live long day
Man has to create karma that s the way that it is
Man has to keep on going way beyond his will
Man has to keep on being cos there s nothing else
And man just always has to go for himself
Take all the gurus when they meditate
Transcend the mundane into some altered state
You just might get there, but you'll have to pay
Man's got to struggle all the live tong day
Well yes siree now Bob them there's the breaks
That s how it is my friend don't make no mistake
Man has to watch the weather and the food that he eats
Man has to keep fit else he's prone to disease
No matter what he does there's stress every which way
Man has to struggle all the live long day
Man is in conflict with his natural self
Man has to suppress his own desires and instincts
Man has to work so hard to keep them at bay
Man has to struggle all the l

I will resist this injustice

Never will I like C.L. Leipoldt say:
“My country is not mine anymore;
my nation is dead from the struggle,
my courage is not heroic anymore -
God, please forgive me! ”

and although my people
now stay right over the world
and my country has been taken away

the struggle continues forever
as long as prayers go up
to God in heaven

who is almighty in control
and even during times of impossibility
practises His will.

as long as a Afrikaner
stand on his right
to lead a life

I will get a ray of hope
from somewhere
and as long as I am alive
I will resist
this unfairness.

[This is my translation of C.L. Leipoldt’s Afrikaans verse.]

Struggle (Life Poem)

I know we struggle to survive, every day,
When I see us, with our unending problems,
That all add together, in minutes and hours,
The sum our life, in short and long fragments.

I know we struggle to survive, every day,
In this battle of life, more than we should
Have to. This I know makes us better than
The animals whose sole aspiration is dinner.

U R not ALone.

U are not alone, look around you,
we all hurt, we all struggle,
Sometimes...
we all feel alone.

U are not alone, listen to others,
they hurt, they struggle.
Sometimes...
they 2 feel alone.

U are not alone, join life somehow,
forget your troubles, find solutions.
Focus on others, they all hurt,
they all struggle.
Just like U,
Sometimes...
they 2 feel alone.

U are not alone, place your eyes on others,
be a Blessing to them, there are those worse off,
so pray for them...they are hurting,
they are struggling.
Just like U,
Sometimes...
they 2 feel alone.

Struggles

Is the struggle what it is?
Is it my own struggle to begin?
What do i struggle to obtain,
As I learn from those in pain?
What is this pain, I hear and see,
Could it be another, who sturggles to see?
Again, I ask what struggle is this,
That stirs my soul to NEVER quit?

I do but ask that you be always fair

I do but ask that you be always fair
That I forever may continue kind;
Knowing me what I am, you should not dare
To lapse from beauty ever, nor seek to bind
My alterable mood with lesser cords;
Weeping and such soft matters must invite
To further vagrancy; and bitter words
Chafe soon to irremediable flight,
Wherefore I pray you if you love me dearly,
Less dear to hold me than your own bright charms,
Whence it may fall that until death, or nearly,
I shall not move to struggle from your arms:
Fade if you must,--I would but bid you be
Like the sweet year, doing all things graciously.

Towards the Oasis

There is no journey on boats
Without the oars
There is no pathway to victory
Without the steps of defeats
Without a long journey through the desert
You will never get an Oasis
Once the struggle is over
You will get the life you longed for
Burdens you carried on your shoulders so for
The struggle and tears
Will become sweet memory
And pages of your biography

The Best Lines Must Not End In Suicide...a Wish

those ahead of us
devotees of the craft have arrived at the
conclusion that the best lines
must end in a suicide,

those that remained have always prayed for them
and for all of us
still in this usual everyday

of struggle, we wish we pray
keep us away from the best lines

give us the wisdom of the divine verses
the freshness of life

the helplessness of the baby
waking up and then crying for help

always wanting of affection
our poems must yield to the pink cheeks of youth

Long Live Anna and Indian Democracy!

‘The passing of the bill
will prove that people’s will
Can make the nation ill
To climb corruption’s hill! ’

Anna has won through his marathon fast
A spectacular victory for all;
His Lokpal Bill has finally been passed;
Fast will be off; He set rolling the ball!

All MP’s also performed well their part;
They showed the world that Parliament’s supreme;
The people’s needs were paramount in heart;
They worked to realise the people’s dream!

The Anna Team had done too fine a job;
They helped Hazare all ways through his fast;
They were well encouraged by huge a mob;
They worked in harmony until the last!

The Resolution Anna asked had come;
The Anti-corruption bill will make it;
The happy end’’s more than hearty welcome;
The fast had become terrific a hit!

The war on Corruption is just begun;
’Tis the beginning of a struggle long;
The struggle long ought to always go on;
The country men can sing a happy song!

Long live the sacrifice of Hazare!
The aged man is hero without doubt;
The Anna Team has become bright thare;
On day twelve, they managed to win the bout!

The support ends the battle just for now;
A lot of things are to be done henceforth;
All showed their unity and country’s love;
The Bill will change the future giving mirth!

Long live Anna Hazare! Long live Indian Democracy!

Woman In The Struggle

Raving voices
Up raised fists
Marching on shoulder to shoulder
In the Front line
Having slogans
Your snapshots are invisible

May be your energy
To be advanced
As a mountain of life

Being a mother and a wife
A sister and a friend
May be give a breath
To light up the torch

History of the struggle is
Not the struggle only of the men
But the picture of unseen and unwritten
Thousands stories behind

Capricious weakness
Image of the history
Until eliminate reality
It will be also a struggle
Within the struggle
You are invisible

Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.
