Wings Attached

In slap at your icarian path
the call was not taken
from inside me.

Anxiety in a troupe of clouds
was rising. A deep dissent
within winds surfaces after sunset.

On the footpath comes a noun
in the land of abuses,
taking a vow of silence.

The moon becomes green
in a blue sky to get
the blessings of surging frost.

Knew nothing about the
future flooding of apples.
Falling from the tree.

Great City

When I returned at sunset,
The serving-maid was singing softly
Under the dark stairs, and in the house
Twilight had entered like a moon-ray.
Tune was so dead I could not understand
The meaning of midday or of midnight,
But like falling waters, falling, hissing, falling,
Silence seemed an everlasting sound.

I sat in my room,
And watched sunset,
And saw starlight.
I heard the tramp of homing men,
And the last call of the last child;
Then a lone bird twittered,
And suddenly, beyond the housetops,
I imagined dew in the country,
In the hay, on the buttercups;
The rising moon,
The scent of early night,
The songs, the echoes,
Dogs barking,
Day closing,
Gradual slumber,
Sweet rest.

When all the lamps were lighted in the town
I passed into the street ways and I watched,
Wakeful, almost happy,
And half the night I wandered in the street.

3 Trees

Down by the North Canadian south of Route 66
Sunset memories in my soul come flooding back
Glorious colors, from deep turquoise to hot pink
Fill the western sky while the wild ducks quack

For this is a special place to unwind and enjoy
The natural beauty provided for my dreamland
A sunset and a simple tree can be so wonderful
I am happy and glad I live in such a great land

Mid July? Or Not

It was a cool July and it was dusk.
The gentle winds that blew,
brushed the Autumn of your hair.

And a mist, as like in Autumn, touch
your face, as I stood still.

I could not help but wonder, as in Autumn,
are the bees yet in their hive; snuggled
closely, in their Autumn winter bed.?

An Autumn sun, hid behind the clouds above.
It knew not of this July, only of Autumn, in the air.
It knew of flowers drooping, their brightness,
now fading and curled. It knew of falling leaves,
and colors still so bright. A lone tree against a colored
sky, seemed naked in this July. With all of
this, and some to go, it must be Autumn, for this I know.

What of the woman, with the hair of Autumn?
Her eyes of Autumn color and colored clothes
the same. It can not be July, for
Autumn is abound.

Autumns every where. Circling sparrows in sky
above, swoop down, in hunt, for the final seeds
of Autumn. How could this be July,
or have the sparrows lost their way?

Surely, this is Autumn, for the chill is in they air.
And, isn't that an Autumn grass, below that
old oak tree? As the gentle Autumn winds,
carry silence for the day.

Now the mist of Autumn, are falling drops of rain.
No, not a shower in July, but an Autumn day,
now cast in gloom, against a steel gray sky.

Autumn, shall never be the same, since
that Autumn day in mid July.

Steaming

Surrender your shadow
to light.
Come my trenched thoughts.

An upside down
episode speaks of a missed
path, and of a blue smoke.

Have you entered
the lake to search for a
sunset is rising moon?

The house-trap again
catches you in midstream.
No peace. Eyes refuse to shut.

Bind the stars with a moon.
Let the night be blue-black.
A goddess of arson was coming.

The Enfranchised Slaves to Their Benefactress

Oh, blessings on thee, lady! we could lie
Down at thy feet, in our deep gratitude,
And give ourselves to die,
So thou could'st be made happier by our blood;
Yet life has never seem'd so dear as now,
That we may lift a free, unbranded brow.

In the deep silence of the starry night,
Our lips shall call down blessings on thy head;
And the first gush of light,
That in its splendour o'er the world is spread,
Shall view us bow'd in prayer, that life may be
A calm and sunny day of joy for thee.

Free! free!—how glorious 't is to lift an eye,
Unblenching beneath infamy and shame,
To the blue boundless sky,
And feel each moment from our hearts, the tame
Dull pulses of our vileness pass away,
Like sluggish mists before the rising day.

And then our infants! we shall never see
Their young limbs cheapen'd at the public mart,
Or shrink in agony,
To view them writhe beneath the cruel smart
Of the rude lash;—they ne'er like us shall know
The slave's dark lot of wretchedness and woe.

For this we bless thee, lady! and may Heaven
Pour down its frequent blessings on thy brow;
And to thy life be given,
Oft through its sunset hours, such bliss as now
Is swelling round thy heart—scarce less than theirs
Who pour for thee their deep and grateful prayers.

Blue Moon

Blue moon is ‘a' rising
Shining so blue surprising
Is it me or is it you?
That makes your shade so blue?

Blue moon it's ‘a' crying
Why so sad, am I prying?
Blue moon weep not for me
Shine your glory for all to see

Blue moon full in ‘a' glory
So many shades you have tell your story
Silver and blood and now you are blue
What prey tell decides your hue?

Blue moon is ‘a' glow
Your blue face on show
Smile down on me now
For a smile from you will show me how

Blue moon is such ‘a' rarity
Your secrets kept within your entity
Locked away in your heart of hearts
Your magic never ends once it starts

Blue moon is ‘a' gone
How I admired you as you shone
You're off to sleep for another day
But in my dreams you will always stay…

Chained To The Moon

I am falling
Drifting, trapped inside the story
Am chained to the moon
Will the sun take over in the morning
Filling my lungs with sky
What can I see from here
The beauty had nowhere to hide
And nothing to fear
Im kicking against the tide
That pulls me away from here
The future is nowhere to hide
But something to fear
I am falling
Drifting, trapped inside the story
Am chained to the moon
Will the sun take over in the morning
The dream demands the magic is planned
Climb the sky and tell the story
Hand over hand, eyes on the moon
Till the sun takes over in the morning
Im killing my sense of time
It told me I moved too slow
Taking whats left of my pride
And letting it go
Im kicking against the tide
That pulls us away from here
The future is nowhere to hide
And something to fear
I am falling
Drifting, trapped inside the story
Am I chained to the moon
Will the sun take over in the morning?
The dream demands the magic is planned
Climb the sky and tell the story
Hand over hand, eyes on the moon
Till the sun takes over
Always remind me words are behind me
Welcome to the silence, fill it with the sky

The Jacaranda Tree

~Here's the wisdom shared with me... by the Jacaranda Tree~

A friend of the wind...
I sway and I bend...
I'm the fifth season...
A poem without end...
Equatorial...
The oldest of new...
Blue Jacaranda...
More lilac than blue...
The rain forests, rich...
With hills of deep green...
I'm far and I'm near...
I'm here in-between...
The loud, silent voice...
Both heard and unheard...
The whispery shouts...
The unspoken word...
My flaws are perfect...
I'm plumpish and lean...
My roots drink from clouds...
In the month: Thirteen...
The moons of morning...
A flame's frozen heat...
The all and nothing...
The bitter of sweet...
The sun rising West...
A dim shade of bright...
An empty fullness...
A wild, wingless flight...
Blue Jacaranda...
I'm mystery and clue...
The universe, vast...
I live inside YOU...
The ancient future...
The steep upward fall...
The bloom and the wilt...
I dwell within ALL...
I'm the dusk of dawn...
I am bound, thus free...
Humans have crowned me...
The GREAT POET-TREE!

I AM SPLENDIFEROUS! ! !

As
ARE
YOU!

Blue Moon Rising

(whispered: some people like that
Some people like that
Some people like that)
Come on all my people, come one and all, one and all
If you want all your people right there right then
Your better ladys dead and theyre appalled
And theyre appalled
Come into my palace, come and see my hollow walls
The servants crawl
Its gonna be a blue moon rising, rising one and all
Some people like that
Gonna get them with your money, all that shines gets polished bald
Could not enthral
Gonna get them like a tweedledee or a tweedledum
The classiest sales pitch aint an equal sum
It aint gonna be fun
Come into my dreamworld, a simple smile not a loaded gun
Just a shine in the sun
Its gonna be a blue moon rising, rising one and all, all alone
Some people like that
Some people like that
Some people like that
Then some people are like children in the moonlight, aa-ooh
Then some people are like children in the moonlight, aa-ooh
Then some people are like children in the moonlight, aa-ooh
Then some people are like children in the moonlight, aa-ooh
Its gonna be a blue moon rising, rising one and all, one and all
Its gonna be a blue moon rising, rising one and all
Some people like that
Some people like that
Some people like that (repeat to end)
(ben: blue moon rising
Blue moon rising)
