In A Sombre Mood

Are you sure after the sunset
the hunger will find the mouths
in black alley?

I go to my ailing land.
Stand on a mass grave.
No faces, No names.

Brother, I am not bickering
I am listing on my fingers.

Was it possible that we could
count the virgins in the town?

Mudslinging starts. Who was not
corrupt? The prevailing conjugation.
How you will tell your kid who
was your mother?

I become restless, tossing around.
A single word shimmers like a
blood soaked jewel. I pick it up.
A baby poem is born.

Baby Brother

I have have a baby brother
Born May 3 1989
He is the last of Three

We often live our lives
with our feelings never expressed
this poem is to tell you i love you
Its how i express my self the best

We have always tried to help each other
Do what we could
we have always maintained a relationship like a brother and sister should.

If i were to chose who was to be my brother
I would pick you i would not pick any other

we have made a lot of bad decisions but,
no matter what the outcome was for each other
we were always there.

We may not always agree on things
but just always remember one thing
YOU STILL MT BABY BROTHER AND I LOVE YOU! ! ! ! !

So the next time you fell sad and blue jsut walk to the computer
because you know that were i will be.

Outside The Mind

prisoner of retribution,
he was buried under a salt lake,

elusive, his crotch,
not far from stings of wasps,

the blood spills,
he would wonder how to catch the truth

in black river,
wrapped in imperforated causes,

leaking with curses,
black conjugation of greeds,

with the grief unbuckling the grudges,
uncut wounds, festering under the skin,

the stink starts scything, he starts
folding the denials, in self praise

Restless

I dont belong to no one
I dont belong at all
Got my face in the corner
Got my back to the wall
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
Restless through and through
Im restless, restless
You look restless too
Im a hair trigger lover
And I cant face up to nothing
Im impatient with the wind
But Im waitin here for somethin
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
Restless through and through
Im restless, restless
You look restless too
Restless sleep, twisted dreams
Moving targets, silent screams
Restless city, restless street
Restless you , restless me
Im a face at the window
Im a black satin sheet
And I cant stay warm
I stay out in the street
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
Restless through and through
Im restless, restless
You look restless too

Restless Kind

(Michael Henderson)
Well I was born the restless kind
Settlin' down never crossed my mind
Wild and wooly I guess that's me
People sure get nervous when a man is free
I can hold my tongue and I can hold my wine
I can hold my own I'm the restless kind
I've seen the country and I've been to town
Rode in fancy cars with the top rolled down
Comin' down the road like a summer breeze
Whatever it takes I do what I please
I can hold my horses I can hold the line
Yeah I can hold my own I'm the restless kind
Yeah the restless kind
I was born the restless kind
I never assume what I'm gonna find
I can stand my ground I can slip through a crack
But as sure as I leave buddy I'll be back
I can hold my temper I can bide my time
Yeah I can hold my own I'm the restless kind
I can hold my tongue I can hold my wine
Yeah I can hold my own I'm the restless kind
Oh I'm the restless kind
Rough and rowdy restless kind

A New Flag is Declared

A new Flag is Declared
In the dusk of the night,
Under the watchful eyes of the guards and the guns.
Ill write a poem,
On your shirt.
A multihued shirt,
Coming from the torture chamber.
A shirt of cotton and blood.
A shirt of torment, torture and anguish.
Ill write a poem
On the midst of the night

In the milieu of red.
A poem,
A single word poem.
People will make it a flag,
Raised, full staff,
Written on it a poem,
A single word poem.
On the daybreak of Iran,
In the milieu of blue
The earth is given birth
To a new flag;
Written on it:
Freedom, a single word poem.

G.K. Chesterton

The Pessimist

You that have snarled through the ages, take your answer and go -
I know your hoary question, the riddle that all men know.
You have weighed the stars in a balance, and grasped the skies in a span:
Take, if you must have answer, the word of a common man.

Deep in my life lies buried one love unhealed, unshriven,
One hunger still shall haunt me - yea, in the streets of heaven;
This is the burden, babbler, this is the curse shall cling,
This is the thing I bring you; this is the pleasant thing.

'Gainst you and all your sages, no joy of mine shall strive,
This one dead self shall shatter the men you call alive.
My grief I send to smite you, no pleasure, no belief,
Lord of the battered grievance, what do you know of grief?

I only know the praises to heaven that one man gave,
That he came on earth for an instant, to stand beside a grave,
The peace of a field of battle, where flowers are born of blood.
I only know one evil that makes the whole world good.

Beneath this single sorrow the globe of moon and sphere
Turns to a single jewel, so bright and brittle and dear
That I dread lest God should drop it, to be dashed into stars below.

You that have snarled through the ages, take your answer and go.

The Little...* X

The little girl is looking for her mommy
But too bad shes a druggie
The little girl starts to cry
Her mommy's going to die
The little girl says wheres daddy
The moms stuck up and acts all bratty
The little girl screams for her dad
But the mom only gets mad.

The little boy is looking for his brother
But the mom doesn't even bother
The little boy screams out where are you
But the mom won't even listen for a few
The little boy doesn't know his brother is dead
But the mom had not said
The little boy starts to cry
His brother had to die.

The little baby cries for food
But the parents act all rude
The little baby has to see the doctor
But the parents are just mockers
The little baby has a few minutes to live
But the parents can't even give
The little baby breathes her last breath
But the parents continue to do meth.

Poem As Conversations

a poem for ramona
and a poem for jean and a poem for candice
and a poem too for yuri
and a poem too for emma and another poem for hannah
and another poem for allan
and the rest of the clan
they are but
conversations sticking to my mind
and through these poems
i replay them
and you think these are not poems at all

precisely, these are conversations of the living
the living word
the word that still cohabits with us
we let them out from our mouths
but you do not wish to recover them

did you mean them all to be said
with the terms and conditions of truth?
i am recording them
and i am replaying them through these lines
i look where truth
lies
i find some and keep them
and these are these
on these lines

a poem for you a poem for the world that we all make
what we say is what we get

The Ravens

They say they were born of dirty blood and death.
For every one of them who was born under this claim
A mother has died.
Healthy they were
The bodies must be cleaned.
They were covered from head to toe in a thick layer nothing but blood.
It was said this is how they were blessed and cursed.
A gift bared in despair.

Coupling

In the tiny truths behind the hidden
words and blood streaked cheeks, you
drink ozone in deep layers. I will count
all my sins and light the candles in a row.

On the pillow of moon, night slept in half-slumber.
I tendered an apology
and wrote a new poem. It was not a rebuke
of stars.

This was my ad lib before the sun rise
and roses opening the blood conversations
with the grand stings. The wrapped hunger
starts wailing.

You Are Like My Own Brother

you are like are brother to me
i know you are my mother's baby brother
but i decide that you are my brother
cause you have been there for me
since i was born
you were there when i lost my father
you were there when i had no mother
you were there when no one bothered
you are still there for me
you make my laugh when i want to cry
you stop me from killing myself
you give me hope when i want to die
you were the one who took away the blade
you were there for me when all my love fade
you were the one who said
you can reach your dreams
you were the one who cared
you were the one who always shared
thank you that i have you as my brother! ! ! 1

Call On Me

The feelin is clear
Clear as a blue sky on a sunny day
Everything was you
cause no one made me feel
The way I felt with you
Call on me cause
I love you
You know I do
You love me too
Then came a change
When I said I would soon be leavin you
Nothin else to do
Please remember Ill never lose the thought of you
Call on me cause
I love you
You know I do
You love me too
Youve got to find
Someone else to somehow take my place
Share his love with you
But if you need a friend
You can always count on me
Count on me cause
I love you
You know I do
You love me too
You can count on me oh
You can count on me
You can count on me baby
You can count on me
You can count on me oh
You can count on me
You can count on me baby
You can count on me
You can count on me oh
You can count on me
You can count on me baby
You can count on me

Paradise Alley

Come on in, have a look around
Hang your hat and find a chair
The pretty women smile at you
The partys just beginning
Theres music everywhere
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
Brothers got to stick together here
Fight with one, you fight with three
The family blood is thick as mud
Day to day the world keeps spinning
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
It reminds you of who you used to be
And who you are, and who youll always be
It finds you in pursuit of dreams
And hopeless schemes
Life is richer than it seems
Nothing like being in a womans arms
The one you love, the one you want
Theres one small problem, who can she be
I feel like winning her in paradise alley
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
Im gonna take you there
Paradise alley
Paradise alley
Im gonna take you there
Take you to the paradise

Purer Than Pure Gold

O brother, purer than pure gold
Is the soil of my land.
Her soil and water
Her fruits and flowers
Quench our thirst and hunger.
as we drink from her milk-pot

To have the blessings of this Mother
Taking leftovers from her temples
Pilgrims are gratified, coming from various castes.
O brother prostrating on the dust of this land
Jewels fall down and welter,
O brother slumber of all in the world
Is broken by the touch of her magic stick.

Coating this soil and this mud
Learning from this land's good conduct
the whole world became civilized all the way

O brother this ascetic in every land
Put on the light out of love,

Mother wakes up alone through the dark night
Watching from the post of crematorium.

Lifelong Bonds...

More than the blood of my blood. He is my friend,
my rock...my brother.

Brother, in times of need, never judging, always there.

My Brother, could, would, always make things right.

Brother, never made much ado, about the task at
hand...he just did it.

Brother, who lifted me, when I was down.

Brother, who brought the laughter, amid the pain.

Brother, the word he never spoke...was 'no'.

Brother, who had the answers, to my questions.

Brother, who by example, did walk the path of right.
