Nostalgia
What’re you doing O’ my friend
at those chilling shores of Ganga?
Gathering today, morrow’s nostalgia?
Let me share those moments;
taste your ecstasies.
On that future day when you fall into oblivion
let me recall those lost flashes and waned out scents
and earn for you, your own stolen heavens.

From The Banks Of Ganga: IX
Colourful petals
Yellow, ochre, white
Red and green
Halt a while around me:
Moments of present ecstasy
Nostalgia of yester years
And future days
Surrounded by chilling waters
My body quivers in chillness
When will it turn into a cold mass?
Will it then recall petals of nostalgia…?
I slip into my future moments of oblivion
My body flowing with the rapidity of Ganga
I don't know!
I can't say!

Rise & Fall
These are the streets I used to walk
On summer nights, sit out and talk
Thats the house where I used to live
I remember what I would give.
This is the town I wont forget
And after anger theres nothing left
Walking now round and round
Familiar sights are open ground.
Being here again
I can recall
Forgotten moments
The rise and fall.
We used to live where children play
They leave their homes a mile away
To come and stand in trees and grass
Where we once walked the memories last.
Being here again
I can recall
Forgotten moments
The rise and fall.
The sun shines east, the sun shines west
But I know where the sun shines best
Casey street in the afternoon
Once again its over too soon.
Being here again
I can recall
Forgotten moments
The rise and fall.
Being here again
I can recall
Forgotten moments
The rise and fall.

From the Banks of Ganga: I
Ganga,
What glaciers have
Melted in silence?
Ganga,
How many mighty glaciers
Now flow with a roar?
Ganga,
From the divine tresses
Through the sage’s ears
Carefully led for redemption
Trapped
Restive
ViolentFrom the mighty skies
Down the abode of gods
Humbled!
Ganga,
Amidst hills
Connecting the sky
And the earth
Ganga,
Scintillating
Sonorous
Desire too flowed
The desire to gather
Ganga to my bosom!
Ganga,
At the foot of the hills
I stand in supplication
At the divine feet

Here For Today
No more songs of sorrow
Lamenting things gone past us
Live today and hope for morrow
Hold tight the moments joyous.
Maybe the morrow will not find us
Our footsteps will not ring on the grass
We have only today for a fresh start
To live anew and love with all heart.
No more songs of sorrow
It's time to break from the past
Even if there comes no morrow
Live moments that fly away fast.

Today My Friend Died
Today my friend died,
I still cant believe my eyes.
It seems like my world has ended.
Today my friend died,
the cute face and sweet smile,
keeps flashing in front of my eyes.
Today my friend died,
my first and last best friend.
She was waiting for this day,
as she had only sorrows and troubles with her.
Today my friend died,
the friend who cared about me,
the friend who solved my problem,
the friend who always fought with life.
Today my friend died,
and I think,
I am filled with problems with no solution,
a human with no confidence,
today I am here with no hope,
I am here today without happiness.
Today my friend died,
she has stepped into my life,
as a spirit of mine.
I cannot express how important she is to me.
Today my friend died,
I recall my memories with her,
and cry....

Lost in nature
Today
I'm sitting here in the Nature
and i'm
lost in its beauty
and in its silence
and in the serenity
and in its simplicity.
.
I'm
lost in the winter chilling breeze
lost in its swiftness
.
lost in the twirling mountains
lost in its unimaginable heights
.
lost in the blue oceans
lost in its fatal depth
.
lost in the moving birds
lost in the freedom they share
.
lost in the drowning fishes
lost in their unique quality of surviving underwater
.
lost in the blessed trees
lost in their old ages
.
lost in the serenity
lost in the search of my lord my saviour.
.
I don't know which way i'm going and where will it lead
but the way which goes through nature will definitely not make me bleed
i'm lost and i want to be lost in nature
cause its leading to
'THE INNER ME'.

Stolen Moments
Because you were stillborn my little niece
The moment of me holding you in my arms for the first time has been stolen.
I’ll never have that moment of hearing you say my name that moment has also been stolen.
I’ll never feel your sweet kisses on my cheek or your hugs around my neck more stolen moments.
A lot of the special moments we would have shared have been stolen.
But I want you to know the moment of me loving you my little sweet angel was not.
The moment I knew of you; you stole my heart.
I’ll love you in this moment and every moment for the rest of my life.
This poem is dedicate in memory to my little niece who I passed away today 3/1/08. She was stillborn
Where Are They Now
Outside the sky is water color grey
Newspaper says to look for rain today
No one around for company
And so I turn to memories to pass the time away
Each face that flashes back to mind
Seems as it was untouched by time
I can't recall quite all the names
Each one is precious all the same
How strange to think
How many friends were lost somewhere behind
[Chorus:]
Where are they now
How I miss those companions
Who walked the canyons of the night
By my side
Where are they now
Like so many crazy dancers
We live only for the answers in a song
But that was long ago
Where are they now
When love was new and wonderful
There was no word impossible
The future we saw with our minds
Was something of our hearts design
Between today and yesterday
Life came between us all
[Chorus 2x]
Where are they now

From The Banks Of Ganga II
Who lived atop
Those distant hills
Where flickered
A lamp or two
During the nights?
Come night
Ganga turns
Into an enchanting black beauty
Her hilly banks
And the sky:
One overwhelming
Sheet of darkness clinging to
The beautiful Ganga
Flowing in that stillness of night
Her skin shining in ripples of gold
Laughing in mirth
Singing a resonant melody
Along the flow
Ganga, the enchantress
Ganga, the mother
Ganga, the worshipful
Day or night
Little difference
To people who came to her
To pay their obeisance

From the Banks of Ganga: III
Who tends these trees
Thick and green on the hill slopes?
Who for do they bear leaf?
Who for do they feast?
Who created this waterfall
Of unseen origin trickling
From between the trees into the Ganga
Ganga mai
The eternal mother
Creator and destroyer
Ganga mai
Who sustains and devours
Ma, Ganga
I approach you
A child, hungry and forlorn
Longing to retreat into your womb
To be nurtured
And to be re-born!

Jer McCarthy
He transported cattle for farmers to and from the marts in Kanturk, Macroom and Millstreet
A well liked fellow and known far and wide
And up and down the narrow roads of Muskerry and Duhallow
He often journeyed through that scenic countryside.
He worked so hard for to earn his honest living
For trucking cattle never is an easy job
On dark and wet and slippery roads in depths of Winter
There are far easier ways for to earn one's living bob.
Still Jer McCarthy seemed to like the job he worked at
As he was a people person you might say
He gave good service to the local farmers
And I hope he is alive and well today.
I wonder is he still transporting cattle?
For he's well past retirement age by now
And life as we grow older doesn't get easier
And all of us to father time must bow.
I know that I am looked on as old fashioned
For I am one still rooted in the past
I still recall the years when I was younger
But on looking back the time just went so fast.
At times I feel that I feel over nostalgic
When my eyes mist over with nostalgic tears
As I recall kind souls like Jer McCarthy
And the role models of my younger years
Many people feel that the future only matter
And their younger years they often don't recall
But when I recall my boyhood in Duhallow
I'm remembering my happiest days of all.
And when I remember one like Jer McCarthy
Who worked so hard for to earn his living pay
I feel somehow that the past is worth recalling
And I hope he's still alive and well today

The Sands of Tıme
Yesterday.!
I returned to
the beach,
once again
to gather
memories
looking for
a dream.
happy
moments
were spent
there,
moments to
be cherished.
gathering
shells for
our
collections,
whispered
secrets,
laughing
leaving
footprints
in the sand.
Today.!
as I wander
back
only one
set of
footprints
remain.
the other
lost
forever
in the
sands
of time.

A Morning Song
Steal me away'til the morrow...
'Til the sun raises its sleepy head...
Let us cast our way upon the winds of today...
And allow for our desires to be fed;
Counting the ways that i shall love thee...
My imagination trembles my minds eye...
Grasping for your hand-needy in my demand-
Quickly- before our very moments fly;
For too soon the morrow arrives...
Breaking our long night into the Dawn...
Ending our 'to be'-the moments of sweet ecstacy...
For with the light of day-i shall be gone;
An Aubade

Wake Up!
I saw you smile, I saw you true, I saw you through
Today youre in your best disguise
Where are you now musician, lost your speech, where are you now
You dragon tamer, tell me please, where are your heroes now
Wake up, you forsaken heavens sheep, your heavens cheap
Wake up, open your eyes, feel the might of the light, I know youve got a sun inside
I saw you turn, I saw you burn today, your flickering, empty eyes hurt me like pins
Are you still in, tell me...
Where are you now, magician, lost your wand, where are the dreams
That you have dreamt....when you were a hero
Where are you now, where have you gone, youre much too beautuful
To slip into oblivion
Wake up, you forsaken heavens sheep, your heavens cheap
Wake up, open your eyes, feel the might of the light, I know youve got a sun inside
I saw you turn, I saw you burn today, your flickering, empty eyes hurt me like pins
Are you still in, tell me...
I know youe got a sun inside, I know youve got a sun inside...
I know youve got a sun
I know youve got a sun
Inside

Time
Oblivion, what is oblivion?
It's a denial, a lack, a limitation?
Or maybe is the time punishment
To cross over us painless.
Time, a word that we use every day,
That is so important for whole humanity,
Even we love it or not,
It's our best friend and sometimes our enemy.
We can't fight crossing time,
We could only obey it,
And accept time as part of evolution,
Esential to our development.
We should join time,
We should enjoy each moment,
Even tomorrow will never come,
We have today for joy and sorrow.
Moments go by, dissipate to infinite,
Such as our lives daily,
Could we stop the time only for a moment,
And to live that moment endless?

Nostalgia
We all at sometimes hark back to days gone bye,
in our memory they seem better than today,
then we stop and think for a little while.
Where they really better than today?
Has our memory fuzzed out the hurt,
and blotted out the thing we want to forget?
It is a question of perspective.
They were great if you want them, to be that way,
or they were horrible, as far as I recall.
Nostalgia can swing either way.
The choice is always yours
how you remember your yesterdays.

My Sunshine thoughts 131106
friends are here to support u in bad moments,
and to be happy with u in happy moments,
so i want u to tell me anything u want,
not only happy things, but sad too..
if u just want me happy, then u r not my friend.
friends are to share anything
i will be happy if u continue to be my friend
meaning, that u share with me all ur sad and happy moments

We May Have Great Plans For The Future
We may have great plans for the future but the future seems so far away
And we only can live in the present tomorrow is another day
The future's not ours to look into I once heard a wise woman say
And the sooner the rose comes into bloom the sooner 'twill fade to decay.
You will not find one who doesn't have dreams but dreams of course seldom come true
Still dreams to us all are important we all need a dream to pursue
We all need our dreams to inspire us and those who do not have a dream
Have lost their sense of life direction like a leaf in a rapid flowing stream.
When one hopes for a better tomorrow those sentiments apply to us all
And though the future we cannot look into the past we can readily recall
Of life there is truth in the saying that we must take the good days with the bad
The bright moments of joy and laughter and the dark moments when we feel sad.
We may have great plans for the future for a better tomorrow maybe
But what the future might hold for us is something that we cannot see
We keep on in hope of the good times and we all need our dreams to pursue
And if for me good things don't happen then good things might happen for you.
