The Unchanging
Sun-swept beaches with a light wind blowing
From the immense blue circle of the sea,
And the soft thunder where long waves whiten --
These were the same for Sappho as for me.
Two thousand years -- much has gone by forever,
Change takes the gods and ships and speech of men --
But here on the beaches that time passes over
The heart aches now as then.

Swept Away
I was lying there
Lying on the beach
I dreamed you where there
Feel the heat
The sun and the waves
When you touch my hand
We were on a desert island
I had a dream
I was swept away
You and I are on an island
Where I thought the storm would never end
I saw your light on the horizon
And I knew that I was blown away again
No it doesnt matter
Yeah, it doesnt matter
cause nothing lasts forever
cause nothing last forever
No it doesnt matter
No it doesnt matter
cause nothing lasts forever
Nothing last forever
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
The rise and fall is endless
The risk you run of being lost in blue
You caught my drift while I was restless
When the current flows
Im gonna go with you
No it doesnt matter
Yeah, it doesnt matter
cause nothing last forever
Nothing last forever
No it doesnt matter
No it doesnt matter
cause nothing last forever
Nothing last forever
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
I was swept away
I was swept away
I was swept away with you
For a day
Or maybe for a lifetime
Break away
Is he throwing me a lifeline
As I say
That this will be the last time
Swept away
Will it end with you?
I was swept away
Swept away
Swept away
No it wont, no it wont
No it doesnt matter
Nothing last forever

Call It Love
For all these years
Ive been rushing and running away
I have seen the cities
The bars and the beaches are full
To keep away from you
I know Ill meet you
One day, for a lifetime
Im scared
One thousand years I could live on your smile
Im scared
And run away forever
For all that time Ive been crazy
There is no escape
Come back to the city
Come back in the hotel and wait
The city waits forever

I went into the wide world
I went into the wide world
and everywhere
where I could
stood on snow white beaches
reconnoitred the blue ocean,
hillocks and hills,
saw plains
and in the desert
white skeletons
of animals that disappeared,
encountered and learned to know people
said farewell to others
and experienced every thing
that I wanted
and still tried to keep
to that which is good,
held different banknotes
in my hand
and paid a price for a living
and took pieces out of my humanity,
when I realized
that yesterday, today and tomorrow
really are the same
with a sun that appears
and disappears at its time,
stars shining on the heavenly dome
and fleeing for the blue,
that there always are people
that cares for each other
and likes you
and that some dislikes you
who leaves pain and discomfort,
that we are sometimes happy,
exuberant, mournful
or sad
and try too hard
to buy every minute
of life before it passes
and that the course of life
is tied to its own time
and farewells
sometimes lies just around the corner,
that people are human
and stand
at the feet of God
for whom a thousand years
passes like a single day.

Circle In The Sand
Sundown all around
Walking thru the summers end
Waves crash baby, dont look back
I wont walk away again
Oh, baby, anywhere you go,
We are bound together
I begin, baby, where you end
Some things are forever !
Circle in the sand
round and round
Never ending love is what weve found
And you complete the heart of me
Our love is all we need
Circle in the sand
Cold wind, tide move in
Shiver in the salty air
Day breaks, my heart aches
I will wait for you right here.
Oh, baby when you look for me
Can you see forever ?
I begin baby, where you end
We belong together
Circle in the sand
round and round
Rising of the moon as the sun goes down
And you complete the heart of me
Our love is all we need
Circle in the sand
Circle in the sand
Baby can you hear me ?
Can you hear me calling ?

Honeyed
with all that i said
've melted the ice cream star
what bows and arrows
feeling inside my tree
with all early ones
miserable ice beaches
still standing still
mysterious beaches...
my pulmonary soul
on orange juice shelves...
with all i need
yellowish silence...
what a stone skin
lies beneath...
all mysterious beaches
covered by my eyes...
all the honey wants
mysterious niches...

The Wind is Blowing
The wind is blowing,
Blowing slow and fast on my skin,
Blowing fast and hard on his skin.
The wind is cold tonight,
Blowing scary in the woods,
Blowing swiftly throw the night.
The wind is warm today,
Blowing hard in town,
Blowing soft in the county.
The wind is cool,
Blowing all the time,
As they say,
The wind is blowing!

My Requiem
Under the wide blue sky
spread my ashes let them swirl
when it’s at its brightest hue, its brightest blue
and if wind or water whirl
what is left of me
over land and sea
then let heaven be my canopy
where I will be forever free
and not set in the dark earth
that impedes me
and in the shining sun,
the falling rain, the blowing wind
forever I will be
shattered to different places
l’Envoi
where gladly I will lie
while time passes by
until the Lord of host in dignity
again reconstructs me, brings me back
to another life.

Footprints
Footprints in the sand
As deep as they might be
Will someday be washed away
By the wind or by the sea.
The footprints have been placed
Upon the beaches sand
In memory of a creature
Proclaiming Himself as Man.
I followed this set of footprints
Placed upon the beaches Earth
To find out where Man had gone to,
And to find out His Earthly worth.
Many of the footprints were deep,
Placed upon the beaches sand,
From the troubles that Man had kept
With memories held in His hand.
And the footprints, that were placed wide
They were many upon the beach,
Were they from the trouble that Man did hide,
Or was it from happiness, that was out of reach.
And then as I noticed in front of me
The footprints were swept away,
Man again was forgotten
Until He returned another day.
Then I looked behind me,
I saw my footprints in the sand
And I know someone will follow them
While wondering, who was this Man.
Had my footprints been placed deep,
Or were they placed apart very wide,
Will they wondered if I ever laughed,
Or if I cried, from sorrows I couldn't hide.
So I closed my eyes and I wondered
About the footprints that I had placed
Someday, will Man He follow them,
While believing my life a waste.
So I continued my walk upon the beach,
I was a very joyful and happy Man,
I left my sorrow and trouble behind me,
In my footprints in the sand.

Beaches
South Padre Island,
Ranks among the best.
South Beach,
And those along Key West...
Are favorite beaches,
I am blessed to have witnessed.
Long Beach and along the Pacific Coast...
Breathtaking are these scenic views,
With a temptation to remove one's shoes!
And the cruiseway connecting Tampa and Clearwater...
Ought to be outlawed for providing too much beauty!
And Ogunquit needs to stop it!
It's magnificence really is an eye popper!
Cape Cod and Pebble Beach.
I've tossed and turned...
Thinking about them in my sleep!
These beaches that grace our wonderful shores...
Should be visited for their exquisiteness.
If anyone believes,
Their lives are boring beyond their doors.
There is so much to explore and see.
Just sitting quietly on these beaches...
And letting one's imagination stretch and reach!
Like the cresting of the waves...
Massaging the sands.
As Seagulls dip for fish,
While the lilting fingers felt from breezes...
Display a coolness beneath Sun rays,
Quickly drying ocean mist!

Lukannon
I met my mates in the morning (and oh, but I am old!)
Where roaring on the ledges the summer ground-swell rolled;
I heard them lift the chorus that dropped the breakers' song --
The beaches of Lukannon -- two million voices strong!
The song of pleasant stations beside the salt lagoons,
The song of blowing squadrons that shuffled down the dunes,
The song of midnight dances that churned the sea to flame --
The beaches of Lukannon -- before the sealers came!
I met my mates in the morning (I'll never meet them more!);
They came and went in legions that darkened all the shore.
And through the foam-flecked offing as far as voice could reach
We hailed the landing-parties and we sang them up the beach.
The beaches of Lukannon -- the winter-wheat so tall --
The dripping, crinkled lichens, and the sea-fog drenching all!
The platforms of our playground, all shining smooth and worn!
The beaches of Lukannon -- the home where we were born!
I meet my mates in the morning, a broken, scattered band.
Men shoot us in the water and club us on the land;
Men drive us to the Salt House like silly sheep and tame,
And still we sing Lukannon -- before the sealers came.
Wheel down, wheel down to southward; oh, Gooverooska go!
And tell the Deep-Sea Viceroys! the story of our woe;
Ere, empty as the shark's egg the tempest flings ashore,
The beaches of Lukannon shall know their sons no more!

Santa Ana Winds
When the wind decides that its time to ride,
To spread a little hell through the heartland,
It takes a good long toke then it blows the smoke
Through the desert night c
And the wings of fire c
Keep climbin higher,
See the flames cuttin hard through the homeland,
It takes a mighty strong will to strip the chill from the desert night --
Youre wakened from your dream by a sirens scream,
Trapped by the walls that surround you --
Then its will to will, and you wonder still can you struggle free?
In a thousand ways, when you turn the phrase,
The winds like a love of a woman c
It takes a mighty mean bitch --
Some fire witch --
To set the night on fire
And the santa ana winds gonna have its way tonight
Nothing you can dos gonna change her mind c
And aint it a lot like love the way desire takes you in c
And stokes the fire like the santa ana wind
Now the air is calm, and the heart grows numb,
The ashes burn low in the heartland,
til again the wind starts closin in to set the night on fire
And the santa ana winds blowin cross my heart tonight
Nothing you can dos gonna change her mind --
And woman I want your love --
I need that passion deep within,
Like the ragin fire needs the santa ana wind
And the santa ana winds gonna take your life tonight
Nothing you can dos gonna change her mind --
And aint it a lot like love
The way desire takes you in --
Swept away with the santa ana wind

Dreams to Nightmares
I stare at the wall and close my eyes
I started to dream about parts of the world
Beaches to oceans to schools of fish
My dreams turn to nightmares after awhile
The cool, damp beach where sand comes to rest
The emptiness in the pastel blue sky
The sand placed perfectly in place
The smell of salt water against the shore
The crystal clear ocean calm as can be
The current not even moving sea life
Fish eating at the bottom by the sand
The sound of calm waves hitting the shore
The colorful fish ranging from green to blue
Fish from all different sizes
The sound of fish jumping out of the ocean
They swim without a government to follow
The beaches turn to cemeteries
The oceans turn dark gray, and fish floating dead
The sky black as can be with flashes of light
You wake up realizing life is so much different

Enan
did i tell you
that a poet was not born in a day?
oh, it takes a lifetime
to become one,
it takes a thousand years
of sensitivity
to feel the thorns of a worm
the skin of the porcupine
it will take another thousand years
to tell which is green
which is blue
from the blind eyes of the
fingers
i must tell you
the poems may have come
not in trickles
for they come not but in a flash flood
in a flash of lightning
stabbing the mountains
in the roar of thunder in the bellies
of the tigers
oh well, they have all been there
we only need to discover.

Hallucinogenic sound of the sea
Beaches have no rest as same as the waves.
Deep sea hides all these mysterious happenings.
Hey! Champion swimmer do not go any further please
It's deep like life,
And you may be a life-saver
But it's not applicable as the current has no live heart.
You are a novice my dear!
And many old ships rest on the sea bed with their rusty anchors
While the bearded Masters still stuck on bridge watches
As they cannot abandon the vessels.

Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches
Everyone dreams of the times to visit
A journey off the sun into a cool spirit
Pleasing is your weather which calmness teaches
Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches
Breeze of the coconut trees within a mile
The sea has an instinct of sudden smile
Healing of the shore offers gathering of riches
Coming to you Oh! city of beaches
Ever nice your plesaure when someone reaches

From Gordon’s bay harbour
From Gordon’s bay harbour
we took a boat
along the coast
of False Bay
and your fingers
knotted through mine
while we sailed
into the ocean.
The launch went up and down
the waves of a calm sea
although a light breeze
was blowing, throwing
drops of spray
into our faces.
Your cheeks were glowing
and your eyes
had the look of adventure
and anticipation
and we took several photographs
of the scenic mountains,
the beaches and shore.
We stopped sailing
at a island of rock
protruding from the waves
that was covered with seals,
which they called Cape sea lions.
The stench of seal dung
and rotting fish
hang heavy in the air
and the boat was rolling to and fro
as well as up and down
and you and some
of the other passengers
got really seasick
and very nauseous.
I took some more photos
trying to ignore the stench
and photographed seals,
waves braking over the rocks,
and everything
but the sea around us.
Those seals had their eyes open
unlike us
for predators like sharks
and shrieking as a saw
going through a board
while more got on those rocks
and sharks started to circle
that island and the boat
and we also felt
like something in the food chain
and were relieved
when the boat’s engine
started again
at the first try.

Thunder In My Heart
Writers: leo sayer & tom snow
Standing here alone with you
Wondiring what it is that Im supposed to do
And there you are with the love light in your eye
The bridges are burnt down
Your arms are open wide
Am I in too deep or should I swim to the shore
Is this the real thing?
I dont know but Ive never been here before
And I feel a thunder in my heart that I cant control
I feel a thunder in my heart
Should I walk away or follow my soul?
I feel a thunder in my heart
Where it comes from I just dont know
Oh no, oh no
Theres a storm ragin deep in my soul
Theres a howlin wind that I just cant control
Theresa fire inside me I cant explain
Every time you touch me my love falls like rain
Ive only known you for an hour or more
The time is standin still
Your love has opened up the door
I feel a thunder in my heart
It takes my breath away
I feel a thunder in my heart
Will I ever be the same?
I feel a thunder in my heart
Its telling me youre here to stay
Oh no, oh no
Theres a thunder in my heart
Theres a thunder in my heart
Theres a thunder in my heart
Theres a thunder in my heart
Take me baby Im all yours
Do just what you wanna do with my love
Lets not let the night overtake us
cos whats happening right now may make or break us
Do you feel the way I do?
Open up your heart now baby
Im comin through
I feel a thunder in my heart
Takin my breath away
I feel a thunder in my heart
Since I met you Ill never be the same
I feel a thunder in my heart
I know youre here to stay
I feel a thunder in my heart
Takin my breath away
I feel a thunder in my heart
Since I met you Ill never be the same
I feel a thunder in my heart
I know youre here to stay
