A cup of
Horlics is getting cold
The foldable study lamp
is on; and running hot
My regular table is strewn
With books and notes, untouched.
The open windows
Blowing in speed air.
Sudden black-out - power goes off
No need to reach for candles or matches
I feel light and brightness
in the powers of darkness
Within the corners of my
Unclean heart
Edison's invention was to
Light up outside
But,
I keep a small oil-hurrycane
For the spacious inner heart
Perhaps,
to hide back,
The mopped up dirt and rot.

Candles In My Heart
Beholding yourself in me,
Your filaments all over,
Its dawn in my world
Light the candles in my heart,
Shed light upon thee,
Chase the darkness away
My heart is mirrored along,
Reflections and purity,
You brought a luminous
Who then shall put a spark,
Your hands are worthy beautiful,
Light up my heart beautiful one
There was a fire, they screamed
You and I know ourselves,
Light up the candles please
Love is knocking at your door,
Asking only few not more,
Complete me and make me whole
Upon when shall I be in darkness,
Angiushing in great loniless,
Stretch your arm, i need a caress
My heart want to burn with love,
Behold its a right and perfect move,
Set my heart ablaze my love
I have been waiting for long,
Until when shall you light the candles,
I need a flame my love

Light Blub and the Candle
Candle: 'You think your so bright.'
Light Blub: 'I'm supposed to be that way.'
But at least I don't go out, everytime a breeze blows in.'
Candle: 'Hey I have been here longer than you.'
Light Blub: 'Edison invented me, who invented you? '
Candle: 'Don't really know for sure, but I have been around longer.'
Light Blub: 'You already said that.'
Candle: ' I get so mad, everytime someone says, they have an idea
they compare it to a light blub.'
Light Blub: 'Who else.'
Candle: ' When the power goes out, were the first things people reach
for.'
Light Blub: 'Yes, but as soon as the power comes back on, they put
you away.'
Edison: 'Listen here you two, you both serve a purpose and are
needed very much, don't you see.'
Light Blub: ' He's right, I'm sorry candle.'
Candle: 'Your forgiven, light blub, so am I.'

And Here Comes Dark
It's dark outside
But I see the light
Then darkness
I see the light again
And here comes dark
It's dark outside
I am lonely and sad
But I see the light
You ask my name
Then darkness
You take my hand
I see the light again
We fall in love
And here comes dark
It's dark outside
I can't find you
But I see the light
You were right there
Then darkness
I have my doubts
I see the light again
You say I'm wrong
And here comes dark
It's dark outside
I reach for you
But I see the light
You don't reach for me
Then darkness
I feel alone
I see the light again
I read your face
And here comes dark
It's dark outside
I want to leave
But I see the light
You're come to me
Then darkness
I feel your grip
I see the light
You're hurting me
And here comes dark
It's dark outside
I try to scream
But I see the light
You have my throat
Then darkness
I can not breath
I see the light
For the last time
And here comes dark

In The Darkness
Why am I here now
What have I done
Running on empty - I got nowhere to run
Cant get an answer
Cant get it right
Just try to make it
till the end of the night
Is there a way to avoid doing wrong
Lead me away from the darkness
Light up my day show me where I belong
Please dont leave me all alone in the darkness
Far in the distance
There is night, there is day
Sounds are waving nets of dismay
Sometimes Im stuck in a shocking delay
Like in a slow motion movie
Im reaching out for something to hold
Life slips away in the cold - in the cold
My heart is so cold - my heart is so cold
Why was I turned down
Whats going on
I wish there was something that could have been done
How can I get there
Where is the light
How can I make it
till the end of the night
How can I turn darkness to light
Leaving my fear in the darkness
Is there a way how can I overcome
My restless nights and my fear - and my fear
In the darkness - in the darkness - in the darkness

The Dark Night
There is darkness everywhere,
the night is darker than black,
strange shadows loom on the wall,
as light flickers and flutters
on the oil lamp
The merciless wind is blowing hard,
harder than ever it was,
sharp like a sword,
piercing and reaming my raw wounds,
the flame on the lamp flutters violently
and then is blown off.
The wind smiles and then suddenly it is gone.
I light my lamp again.

The Darkness
For sometime I’ve been living by myself
and as usual I close the windows at night.
I was sitting on the bed reading a letter
when something darkened the light.
My immediate thought was a power surge
and the house was on a reduced supply,
but when I looked up at the ceiling light
I just couldn’t believe my eyes.
So much so, I rubbed them,
and hoped that it wasn’t there,
but it was, hovering above me
like a mist hanging in the air.
I’d never seen anything like it,
from nowhere it came into sight.
An expanding layer of darkness
that was squeezing out the light.
It had now covered the ceiling
and was edging down the walls.
My breathing wasn’t helping,
as my inhaler began to stall.
I could feel and hear my heart beating;
fear drove me towards the open door.
As my fingers touched the doors handle
its sudden slamming shook the floor.
If it touched me what would happen?
Would I be blanked out like the light?
I stumbled flicking off the light switch,
and with it went the cause of my fright.

Swines and the Rain
Rain sweeps dirt from the swines
No place they find to hide
In open field aimlessly they run a little
and back again
mother hog perhaps waits somewhere
swines are in rain now
rain has got new game to play today
rain and swine and an open field
Dancing air with furious velocity
And the horizon systematically
swelling light from surroundings
swines are now with fear
getting close together
no dirt with them
bloody faces become pale
but rain stops at a phase
scenario changes
in darkness
a mother hog
searching her littles
her footsteps they know very well
a sudden dart of returning home
the swines
chasing the darkness fiercely

Your Light Has Come
In truth; God’s world, is hard to tell
Gross darkness clouds her mind
While Satan leads her brood to hell
She’s wicked proud and blind
You may not even like God’s child
Who stands within your sight
Sometimes I’ll even make you wild
Because I’m of “The Light”
God’s Light and darkness can’t agree
They can’t see eye to eye
That’s why you’re not at ease with me
No matter how you try
In love I come to speak of peace
No need to use your sword
Your Light has come, that you may cease
To hide from Christ the Lord
God’s Light is truth who comes to live
To touch with Love’s own hand
He comes to save God’s joy to give
And lead to understand
When light comes through an open door
All darkness must depart
Please bear with me a moment more
To shine within your heart
Allow God’s Light, to come to you
Let darkness disappear
In just a while you’ll feel brand new
There’ll be no need to fear
You’ll feel the Father’s love arrive
His warm reviving Light
And you yet dead He’ll bring alive
In Christ; to stand and fight.

Fire In My Heart
Light a fire
Light a match
Light a candle
Light a lamp
Bring some light and some warmth
Into your heart, so dark and cold
Please, if you can,
Light a fire in my heart

Walk With Me
Walk with me through darkness
Every day and every night
Walk me through the darkness
Walk me until I reach the light
We all stumble on life's journeys
We all need a helping hand from time to time we all wonder how we fit in your
plan
Walk me through the darkness
hold my hand when I am lost
Carry me when the road gets rough
pick me up each time I fall
Let your prescence be her with me
every day and every nightwalk with me throught he darkness
walk with me until i reach trhe light
When I am in my darkest hour and feel like givin up
Take this weight from off my shoulder fill my heart with your love
Walk me through the darkness
Wlak with me till I reach the light

I Do
Written by christine mcvie and eddie quintela.
Oh my mind is made up about you
Now and always
Though the seasons come and they go
Nothing will ever change
Well I took a little chance
And I laid my heart down
I thought youd be the one
Who would always stick around
I took a little time
Though I knew it would be
That we had a date with destiny
Well out of the darkness
And out of the long black night
You have given me heart, yes
And you showed me the light
And I do, I do
I love you for what you are
Well this heart of mine
I know it so well
There are so many strange stories
That I could tell
Many is a time
I went out on a limb
You reached out for me baby
And you brought me back again
A lot of stormy nights
Ive seen many a full moon, but darling
This is love in the afternoon
Well out of the darkness
And out of the long black night
You have given me heart, yes
And you showed me the light
And I do, I do
I love you for what you are
So out of the darkness
And out of the long black night
You have given me heart, yes
And you showed me the light
And I do, I do
I love you for what you are
Yes I love you for what you are
I love you for what you are
I do love you for what you are
Yes I do love you for what you are...

Y.. The Little Light
There is a little light,
A little light in your heart,
A little light that has tremendous power
If we allow, it can obliterate all darkness.
That little light in your heart
Let it shine.
There is a little light,
A little light in your soul
If we allow, it carries tremendous wisdom
It flashes sparks and thoughts of goodness
That little light in your soul
Let it shine
No matter how dark is the night
Within, you can always find that little light
The light in your heart, the light in your soul
They're always there to brighten your world
These little lights of your heart and soul,
Let them shine.

Rembrandt's Darkness, Rembrandt's Light
Here’s a painting by Rembrandt van Rijn –
mark how he bestows the light…
the light of Rembrandt’s conscious painted scenes
falls where consciousness itself shines strongest:
here on a thinking head, deep
in contemplation of the truth invisible;
here on a melting heart; there,
on a pregnant belly full of life;
on this marriage bed, her body
dissolves into the light of love;
here, the golden helmet and the breastplate
say, heroism has descended on mere man.
But mark, too, that other miracle:
see in this corner, the area of black paint:
this is not darkness; not negation of the light;
this is what cannot comprehend the light;
this is the darkness of the unmanifest,
from which all miracles shall in time arise:
this is the black paint stroked on the canvas
by the same dazzling intelligence
which was Rembrandt; the light
yet stored in darkness; what would that light
of things seen, be, without the mind
that understood and marked the not yet lit?
The secret of that darkness fills
with a brightness that's more beautiful than beauty,
the mind that knows to shut its mortal eyes.

My Love
You saw the darkness beneath the earthen lamp.
Wish you had seen the flames
Try to reach out its heart
And you wouldn’t get reason to blame.
Not where it failed but see above
How small it may look and how mild it may be
With warmth in its soul spreads light of love
It aims your world to fill with glee.

Turning Off The Lights
you say, you love light, its brightness
that reveals what had long been denied to you
by darkness,
you take it, and raise it and put it at the higher place
for that should be how it must be
everything is now obvious and you begin to see
the truth, and you say, at first, that this is beautiful,
and good, and you preach about light, its brightness,
you want all those that love you to have them too
time changes, seasons come and go, tastes not just sweetness
but bitterness, this is also truth, but this is not good,
this is ugly, and all the scenes pass before your eyes,
your parents, and brothers, they are carried by this rage
of the river of time, there was thunder and lightning at the background,
there is too much lighting, and you begin to dislike
what light has given you, brightness has become too harsh
for such a short life,
there is panic and fear now, you want to run but all the doors are closed,
and the windows refuse to open,
the clouds make the rain, and rain does not stop,
the sun still shines, no promises are broken, all for your love of light,
its brightness, now getting too sharp and too jagged, they hurt
you sit alone, you let the rain flood over you, you dislike water
there is too much of it, just like light, flooding over your senses,
they are no longer good, they are so ugly,
but what can you do? you wished for it and now it is given for free.
forgetting has taken your beloved away. Such a cruel goddess.
Now you are alone. You remember the night of sound sleep.
You remember when you said, once when we were small,
You want all the lights turned off, light hurts, and you cannot sleep.
and so, i turned off all the lights now. I shall not tell you anything.
You need sleep and dreams shall be there to comfort you.

Birthday night
The golden light
of twelve candles
sparkled on your skin
while you came to me
like a goddess
stepping back into my life
and a shadow
followed you
on the bedroom wall
and I could see
your beautiful big eyes glowing
as if set alight.
There were still drops of water
on your naked skin
which was warm to my touch
and you blew all the candles out
and in sudden darkness
your kiss was soft and hot.
In having you against me
there was something familiar
and something new
and things felt as if they
were destined to be
and I could hear
your heart beat against mine.

Where Are The Lights Hidden?
When look into the sky, there is some light, then dark,
When look into the heart there is lot of truth clogged,
When look into the eye, there is a cloudy lens, fogged,
Let the light be shown everywhere to see the invisible,
Let hundred Suns emerge from the offing of infinitive,
Let the space be lighten up to see the galaxies in the black holes,
Let the stars that are light years away sway as the candles,
Let the white light remove the smear from the souls,
When the darkness is removed through the light,
Many truths may become lies and lies become the truth,
Let the light be shown on our hearts to bring out the mirth.

Darkness Hopes
In each of us lives darkness
black as coal and full of desire,
that lies dormant in the midnight
though it longs to feel a fire.
The fire brings great brightness
to the heart of the darkest dark;
as it dances with abandon
flirting madly as it sparks.
When the sparks flash in the darkness
the blackness feels the heat,
that's created by a passion
when light and darkness meet.
Once the darkness is ignited
white light burns deep inside,
emboldened by combustion
once begun, won't subside.
Though as the fire burns lower
and the light begins to dim,
embers glow with excitement
for what will come again.
The darkness is quite patient
as it quietly sits and waits,
for the fire to build inside again
and reconnect the fates.
You see, the darkness holds out the hope
for the passion of the light,
to dance again with abandon
to bring a fire, burning bright.

Lamp Of Love
Light, oh where is the light?
Kindle it with the burning fire of desire!
There is the lamp but never a flicker of a flame--is such thy fate, my heart?
Ah, death were better by far for thee!
Misery knocks at thy door,
and her message is that thy lord is wakeful,
and he calls thee to the love-tryst through the darkness of night.
The sky is overcast with clouds and the rain is ceaseless.
I know not what this is that stirs in me--I know not its meaning.
A moment's flash of lightning drags down a deeper gloom on my sight,
and my heart gropes for the path to where the music of the night calls me.
Light, oh where is the light!
Kindle it with the burning fire of desire!
It thunders and the wind rushes screaming through the void.
The night is black as a black stone.
Let not the hours pass by in the dark.
Kindle the lamp of love with thy life.

Light in Darkness
Every darkness has its light
Some so hard to see,
Only a night light
In a dark sea.
The darkness clouds our vision,
The small light clouds the darkness.
Finding the light isn't the problem
Easy thing in fact,
The darkness hides its true power,
Be ready for impact.
