Colour Blindness
COLOUR BLINDNESS
She is not able
to remember well
my very face,
as we use to criss-cross daily
on the half a mile foot over-bridge
exactly at the same time -
for over a year
without even a pinch of love
What a shame! ! Disaster to my manliness;
I should now either change
my timings or my route
to have a new target girl
as I have drawn zero
from the previous rounds
sadly, as I was treading the ‘Z' bridge
a stout, simple girl, in all her shyness
blushes before me, to announce her hidden love
cherished by her at the same over-bridge
for that whole miserable year -
unaware of my failed overtures;
How come, I missed her thirsty sights
accepting readily the willing offer
I nodded in silence, in an affirmative style
………….as getting loved by someone
is a rare finish game.

The Bridge To Love
Across the bridge there was a girl
I used to watch each day.
She sat alone and never looked,
never glanced my way.
Her beauty was a rare delight
I did not want to miss.
And so I sat and imagined
that we two could kiss.
But lacking courage to approach
I held back and I viewed
that at the same hour every day
something would change her mood.
A woman came to help her stand
and led her from the bridge.
She seemed unhappy as she left
surrounded by green foliage.
One night I gathered all my thoughts
and knew that I would cross
the bridge to where she sat all day
so I'd not feel the loss,
The loss of so much beauty now
that bravery was with me.
And as I crossed she heard my sound.
She looked but could not see.
I placed my hand upon her cheek,
so soft it was to touch.
I hummed a tune which made her smile
and though it was not much
it warmed our hearts, both hers and mine
and so it was we'd meet
everyday upon the bridge
in manner so discreet.
As I look back upon those days
I remember our first kiss.
She touched my face with both her hands
and then there was sweet bliss.
We married and we found a love
that lasted many years.
I lost her not too long ago
and think back on her tears.
For she was always beautiful,
a beauty with such grace
that all she ever wanted was
to see my loving face.

Your Bridge Of Love
The bridge,
Your bridge of love;
We salute you oh kings of Africa! !
The bridge,
Your bridge of love;
We salute you oh queens of Africa! !
And like an Island in Venice;
Nice, price, vice, mice, rice, ice, dice, lice, slice;
But very tantalizing and very vital to ylour heart!
For, this bridge of love is over your house.

View From A Bridge
Written by ricky & marty wilde
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
I guess it all began about a year ago
Like a cheap love magazine
You know the kind you read about
And have to laugh
At the pages in between
Now I cant believe that fool inside is me
cos I just cant face the world
Ive grown to see
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
I saw you kissing her
I saw you making her
In the soft sheets in between
But when you turned around
I saw your eyes were fire
And you crashed out all my dreams
And like a fool I just stood there
And let it go
I should have fought right back
And let my feelings show
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
View from a bridge, cant take anymore
You sure as hell knew how
To make a fool out of me
Well you cut me down
For the things you want
And now its killing me
Ill lay it on the line now
Youre running out of time now
But then a voice said jump
And I just let go
And Im floating out in space
But then I feel your arms
And I turn around
To a ghost without a face
And I just dont know
Whats fact or fantasy
cos when I look below the bridge
I see its me

Scared Away
Somebody once said
Stop when the light turns red
I know the story
But I don't want the glory
Cause when you're shot down
You're gonna hit ground
But they don't feel it
No they won't heal it
I've given everything
I've played the name game
I sent my get well cards
And never got an answer
Don't want my money back
These cards are not stacked
And I don't need it
I won't believe it this time
I won't believe it this time
No I don't need it
I won't believe it
This bridge is your's to burn (this bridge is your's)
No room for more
Can only offer what you've been shaking under me
Fakin till you see what's wrong with me
Can I get close enough
So you can hold me up
And tell me over and over
I went bad again
I'll tell you one thing
Without a promise ring
That I don't need it
I won't believe it
When it's down to this
I get oblivious
I see you looking
But you don't wanna see a thing
Being so scared
Can't get you anywhere
And I don't need it
I won't believe it this time
I won't believe it this time
No I don't need it
I won't believe it
This bridge is your's to burn (this bridge is your's)
No room for more
Can only offer what you've been shakin under me
Fakin till you see what's wrong with me
See what's wrong see what's wrong
See what's wrong with me, what's wrong with me
Me looking at you, you looking away
And I'm wondering how the one I know had changed
Me reaching to touch someone
But you're gone, tired now
Scared away somehow
Scared away somehow
This bridge is your's to burn (this bridge is your's)
No room for more
Can only offer what you've been shakin under me
Fakin till you see what's wrong with me
This bridge is your's to burn (this bridge is your's)
No room for more
Can only offer what you've been shakin under me
Fakin till you see what's wrong

Love Can Build A Bridge
I'd gladly walk across the desert
With no shoes upon my feet
To share with you the last bite
Of bread I had to eat
I'd would swim out to save you
In your sea of broken dreams
When all your hopes are sinking
Let me show you what love means
Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time?
Don't you think it's time?
I would whisper love so loudly
Every heart could understand
That love and only love
Can join the tribes of man
I would give my heart's desire
So that you might see
The first step is to realize
That it all begins with you and me
Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time?
Don't you think it's time?
When we stand together
It's our finest hour
We can do anything, anything
Anything, anything
Keep believin' in the power
Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time?
Don't you think it's time?
Love and only love
Love and only love

Burn That Bridge
Burn that bridge
By: jimmy buffett, michael utley, will jennings

Im not sayin Im scareda you
But your kinda love is somethin new
When I hold you were swayin in the wind
Of all the bridges Ive ever crossed
High and lonesome and wild and lost
I feel this time Ill take it to the end
We dont care what the people may say
If theres a price its the price well pay
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
We both done our share of runnin around
So we know enough to know the kind of love weve found
Its the real thing and weve got to see it through
Im a singer and a sailor on a midnight sea
(oh captain come and take me on your fantasy)
If were crazy that aint nothin new
cause we dont care what the people may say
If theres a price its the price well pay
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Who knows how it started
Who knows it end
The point of no return is waiting
Just around the bend
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Chorus:
Yes well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down

Trust, Is A Bridge...
Trust, Was A Bridge, Between Us
Now, Blown To Bits and Dust!
Scattered Upon Waters of Fear
Too Far Down, To Bring Near
Trust, Was The Bridge, Between Us
Tottering and Unsafe, Due To Rust
Its Base, Was Sinking and Cracked
Cables Snapped, No Getting Back!
Trust, Was A Bridge, Between Us
Used To Stand-Up To Raging Gusts!
We Could Cross Over To Either Side
Hold Onto The Girders … And Stride
Trust, Was The Bridge, Between Us
Repairing It Now … Is A Bust!
So, Can This RelationShip, Sail To Both Shoals
Build A New Bridge, With A Higher Toll?
… Trust … Is A Bridge, Between Us
Guard It Well … This Time, Is A Must …

Graffiti Bridge (feat. Mavis Staples & Tevin Campbell)
CHORUS:
Everybody wants 2 find Graffiti Bridge
Something 2 believe in
A reason 2 believe that there's a heaven above
Everybody wants 2 find Graffiti Bridge
Everybody's looking 4, everybody's looking 4

Everybody wants 2 find the perfect one
Someone that makes U happy
Someone that makes U laugh when U want 2 cry

Everybody's looking 4, everybody's looking 4
Everybody's looking 4 love
The love of a boy, the love of a girl
The love that comes from a warm heart in a cold, cold world

A bridge of many colors
A bridge that leads them 2 a love they know is real

Bridge Ghazal
My love and I reside upon the belly of a bridge
with heartbeats of the sky?--the drums upon the bridge.
I've heard of songs that rise at night from pitch black oceans.
I've heard the strums of lyrics made by four hands on a bridge.
My love and I do landscapes for the gardens of the sea.
At night we sleep as seedlings at the center of its bridge.
Once I saw a Sufi breathe in seabirds, and send them out again.
I've seen people bearing blindfolds near the entrance of a bridge.
My love's old love, he says, had tried to douse him in a moat.
He grew gills to save himself and hid beneath a drawbridge.
The masters speak of magic at the middle of the rings
where Yes and No chase each other round the props of any bridge.
My love's new love, some say, makes far too much of things
as fundamental, elemental, as the structure of a bridge.

Girl, tell me only this
That Ill have your heart for always
And you want me by your side
Whispering the words Ill always love you

And forever I will be your lover
And I know if you really care

Now I need to tell you this
Theres no other love like your love
And i,as long as I live,

Let me hold you
I need to have you near me
And I feel with you in my arms

Bridge Over Troubled Water
When you' re weary feeling small
When tears are in your eyes I'll dry them all all
I'm on your side oh when times get rough
And friends just can t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you re down and out
When you re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you ooh
I'll take your part oh when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
Oh if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

I will ease your mind

til The Season Comes Round Again
(john barlow jarvis, randy goodrum)
Come and gather round at the table
In the spirit of family and friends
And well all join hands and remember this moment
til the season comes round again
So let us smile for the picture
And well hold it as long as we can
May it carry us through should we ever get lonely
til the season comes round again
Bridge:
One night, holy and bright
Shining with love from our hearts
By a warm fire lets life our hands high
And be thankful were here til this time next year
May the new year be blessed with good tidings
til the next time I see you again
If we must say goodbye let the spirit go with you
til the season comes round again
Repeat bridge
May this new year be blessed with good tidings
til the next time I see you again
Well all join hands and remember this moment
And well love and well laugh in the time that we have
til the season comes round again

To My Daughter
Probably only one memory
Fragile bridge passed the river rapids
The bridge was really glad
when your feet step on
Stand up on top of tweak
Then the longer it confidently
And finally you can run on it
Maybe you're be able to laugh now
But when you were sad
Don't you forget the bridge
Hold -the bridge it was- necessarily
because the bridge, it was me

4 Year Girl
A four year girl i knew
This thing we had of truth
Somehow our spirits where alike
Much had we weathered for each other
The four year girl i knew
Could turn your eye if she smiled
Oh how i loved that girl
When she liked smiling at me
A four year girl i knew
Showed me who she was
Did it hurt you like it hurt me
The trust laid just as deep as the lies?
The four year girl i knew
How could i have been so naive
How could she have fooled everybody
Without telling one lie
A four year girl i knew
I spent four years falling for
And in four days lost the girl
And walked away with a heart
Screaming with pain (for)
The four year girl i knew
Why cant my heart bare the change
Of four years in four days

You'll Never Find (A Love Like Mine)
Chorus:
You know that you'll never find
A love as true as mine
Our love is a one of a kind
Boy, why waste your time
Foul play never brought you down
You took your love on a rebound
Been no angles, just straight ahead
'Cause you know where my heart is
Bridge
So don't turn me away
I know that we can make it
I beg you to stay
Give our love a try 'cause you know...
Repeat Chorus
You shake me up, but you can't bring me down
This school girl crush, you can't push around
So set your game on the right track
'Cause once you leave, it's hard to get back
