The Formless Brahma Has Incarnated As Krishna

Krishna awoke;

Yashoda was enraptured to see his face blooming as a lotus that captures the rising sun's first rays. Taking off the coverlet she said, 'awake, darling boy, awake, your loveliness makes me swoon your bewitching face is like the full moon seen through the sea's foam when it was churned for nectar.'

He for whom the Shrutis say 'not this, not this? whose name is chanted by Brahma, Shesha and Shiva that Formless Brahma has taken birth in Braj, in human form, so 'tis heard.

Nanda Beholds Krishna's Face

Parted nightlong from his beloved child
Nanda could no longer restrain himself
and lifting from his face the coverlet gazed upon it;
no more the night was oppressive:
the gods it seemed had churned the sea,
and through its foam the moon was seen resplendent in the sky."

Says Suradasa, the cowherd lads and maids learning that their beloved Krishna was awake forgot all else and ran to his bedside.

Awake O! Prince Of Braj

Awake, Krishna,
awake the lotus-petals
open the water-lilies droop
the bumblebees have left
the creepers cocks crow,
and birds chirp on the trees.
The cows are in the byre lowing;
they run after their calves;
the moon fades before the sun.
Men and women arise
and joyfully sing their songs;
Krishna, of hands lotus-like awake,
for the day is about to dawn.

A Mail To Mayakkannan

Darling Krishna,
In that dispersed dream
Into a vague painting
You too dispersed in a stream
Of blue and green leaving
Me in a splendid awe
To remark till now 'aha'

In the cradle of my vision
You sway like a tiny magician
With your beauty splendour
Smiling, chuckling to evince an ankle-biter
On a banyan leaf so fertile
Only to conceal in exile

You slick up then a little grown
Patting me not to search on;
Four armed, with conch and discus
With mace and lotus
Asking me to comment on your armour
Narayana, only as an idol at Guruvayur.

Then you perform a new dance
Taking me to a deadly trance
On the serpent Kaaliya.
You then heave the hill Govardhana
Simply on your little finger.
Soon you vanish ere I admire.

Blasting you come again as Narasimha,
Tear apart Hiranyakashipu.Mayakanna,
Countless were your deeds divine yonder;
Dreamt and only dreams recur.

Hey Ranganatha don't laze at leisure;
Me, impatient by your reclining posture.
You dream now of Puthana
Breast-sucked to death by little Krishna
Who enraptured Yashoda blooming
Like lotus, aged three, so charming.
Should my dream come true
Ranga, want my Krishna alone, true

That chubby face with muddy mouth
That muddy mouth with awed mirth
Yashoda saw in a living cosmos..
Have I that repeated? ..Yes.
Consecrated by ablution of your divine melody
Were'nt gopikas roaming around Your bansuri?
Venugopal, pal of gopas
Douse me too in your musical grace.
Hurry up Hari
Prank and prattle for me
Pop in Lord, I'm waiting.

Holy Coiffure

But
She was much elated with His holy adamance
She so pursued admiring with fake unknowingness
Unkempt locks remained in unkempt tresses
Krishna still insisting on a coiffured stylishness
Baby- protector of the cosmic domain
Played upon Yashoda with fake disdain
Yashoda however acted on His resoluteness
And...
There was a presaging love in Krishna's eyes
A future-heroine from the basil-bushes
Aandaal in His holy heart with coiffured elegance
A heavenly romance after aeons to be occurred
In her sprited sense Yashoda discovered
She detected much with immediate sense
Then
Her mind's vision did it with swift hands
Aandaal modelling in Yashoda's heart more glorious
Fledged a peacock feather Krishna's coiffured grace
Dazzled from His Pithambara fulgent golden rays
All-decked-Krishna in gemming beauty
Excelled with Kausthuba and Vaijayanthi
Added with sane emission of sandalwood redolence
Thus
The cherubic babe sported with prattling innocence
Chambered secretly his coiffured appetence
With beaming radiance surpassing crores of suns
With blooming heart revelling like Lakshmi's lotus
Krishna is all prompt now for a jaunt
His Bansuri and Basil too ready to grant
Our hearts to house His boons and blessings

Brahma-A Supposition

In the darkness of a sustaining force
The unseen child of that unknown source
Hiranyagarbha to bear when chose
Supreme-sustenance itself instilled to repose
In Brahma in Hiranyagarbha

Hiranyagarbha, self-manifested womb golden
The power-cause of Brahma's whole creation
Supremacy we call the Brahmam
Brahma of Brahmam with Brahmam born
Brahmam self-embeded all in Brahma's karma

The Invigorating Dawn

Awake, O Krishna awake,
the night has gone arise,
no longer laze breathe the pure air of early morn;
the cowherd-lads come and gaze at you,
and seeing you asleep,
depart as swarms of bumblebees
fly from the lotus clusters.

O darling boy,
dark as the tamala,
if you don't believe me,
open your large eyes
and see for yourself.

When He Himself Reveals Himself

When he himself reveals himself,
Brahma brings into manifestation
That which can never be seen.

As the seed is in the plant,
as the shade is in the tree,
as the void is in the sky,
as infinite forms are in the void-

So from beyond the Infinite,
the Infinite comes;
and from the Infinite the finite extends.

The creature is in Brahma,
and Brahma is in the creature:
they are ever distinct,
yet ever united.

He Himself is the tree, the seed, and the germ.
He Himself is the flower, the fruit, and the shade.
He Himself is the sun, the light, and the lighted.
He Himself is Brahma, creature, and Maya.
He Himself is the manifold form, the infinite space;
He is the breath, the word, and the meaning.

He Himself is the limit and the limitless:
and beyond both the limited and the limitless is He,
the Pure Being.

He is the Immanent Mind in Brahma and in the creature.

The Supreme Soul is seen within the soul,
The Point is seen within the Supreme Soul,
And within the Point, the reflection is seen again.
Kabîr is blest because he has this supreme vision!

Krishna Awakes

Krishna awake, for the day has dawned:
large, deep and lotus-like,
your eyes are as in the love-shaped lake
a pair of swans even a million Kamadevas cannot vie
with the bewitching beauty of your face;
the sun rises in the east,
a crimson ball the night is going
and the moonlight pales
the lamps turn dim
and the stars fade out
as though the bright radiance of wisdom's rays
dispels the pleasures that the senses tire,
and the light of hope chases away
the murky darkness of despair and doubt.

Listen, the birds sing
aloud with glee O sweet child,
life of my life,
my sole wealth,
O darling boy,
bards and minstrels
sing your praises,
saying 'victory! victory!'

Clusters of lotuses burst into bloom
the bumblebees humming with sweet sound
leave the lotuses;
as though the devout renouncing worldly ties,
in your love drowned
chant your name as they go about.

Hearing his mother's words with love
drenched the Lord of Mercy arose from his bed;
the world's woes vanished,
maya's net was rent.

Says Suradasa,
'Seeing his lotus face delusion fled;
all doubts and dualities were destroyed and I found in Govinda eternal joy.

Festival Karthikai

Lamps at the door steps speak
'Behold, the Lord's born of sparklings
We're lit with enlightened spark
Sextet babes to sextet Pleidas-maids
Embraced to make one charming and unique
To dwell on hills and hillocks

Karthikeyan, He vanquishes the demons
Father Shiva whilst refuges the crescent
His love for Rohini spurning other twenty wives
Moon hurts Dhakshan himself cursed to get hurt
Waning-fear unto the Lord's feet surrenders
Rescued moon on Shiva's locks shimmers

Brahma and Vishnu then on a conflict
Who the great their fight much irksome
Unto the Lord's feet they resort
Huge unending fire-mast grows Shiva awesome
Declared winner, whoever finds Shiva's head and feet
Swan-Brahma, boar-Vishnu however on defeat mirksome

In conjunction moon and pleidas glittering
Whilst Shiva sets out for another venture
Demon of Tripura on trouble-making
Intolerable that Shiva to show His gesture
Just a swish, slash.. on ground lying
Crumbled Tripura and the demon.. Shiva's adventure'

Thus speak the lamps and speak on
'Aglow, ardent we're streetful
Of mud and brass and silver, functional combination
Awaiting a fire aghast baleful
Bale of palm temple-Lord to burn
Symbolised element is then fire truthful
Rice and jaggery and fruits then the oblation
Testimony, Moon and Krithika in the month Karthikai zestful'

The Great Wok

Hello, hello, testing, testing...
At this time of year...oh, let me first introduce myself.
Maybe you have heard me before, I am the great wok.
And as you know, the great wok must be done.
Now, at this time of year when brahama is in brahma...
The day of brahma is set to last one thousand years and its night is of equal length.
Well, for us human being, this is the end of the year now
And our minds turns towards what is laughably called the future.
No mind can comprehend the infinite and absolute anon munsch mars stunvelly humpff,
As we say in the himalayas.
Now let5 me tell you, my resolution of the year 1979 is to renounce complete everything,
But complete luxury and self indulgance.
Now I suggest this is going to be very, very difficult, very difficult indeed.
I feel its my duty, not only as a human being but as a person
Or was it not george formy who said there are four billion three hundred and twenty million
Mortal or earth years which is one day of brahma.
So, one way of looking at it is simply not to look at it at all.
And thats exactly what were going to do now.
So well settle down, deeply, I hope, and comfortably in an easy chair
And then, lay back, put the incense on, light the candles and give yourself a hard time.

Nanda's Darling Child

Who can contain his joy, say, on seeing the lotus-like lovely face of Nanda's darling child when he awakes?

His beauty infatuates sages,and destroys the pride of Kama, it captivates the hearts of hundreds of young girls. When he softly smiles the gleam of his teeth seems as though rubies have been stringed with pearls.

When my Lord, Nanda's lovely child goes out, says Suradasa, the people of Braj are bewitched by his loveliness.

Acceptance On A Summon

Every minute I summoned to you
Every minute I waited for you
But only disappointment sickened me
Till last minute nothing meant to me
Now it is amazing being with you
Swear by that moon you won't leave
For your radiant presence of blue
Need to change me not to grieve
Come home or this be the home
Let us live filially part and part
Of a mother with a son lovesome
Modelling a life where nothing'll interrupt
I shall give you whatever Yashoda gave
All the delicacies of milk, you crave
Address me mom as you did to Yashoda
Spend my days like you did with Yashoda
'Cry not' said the God-child Krishna
Stayed back. My piety to little Krishna
Turned meaningful; life got salvaged

Sri Krishna

Long ago when Lord Vishnu took a new form
In order to restore Faith and Goodness on Earth
At midnight, in Mathura it was raining with thunderstorm
Devaki and Vasudev were overjoyed with their son Krishna's birth

Vasudev left infant Krishna in Gokul, at Yashoda and Nand's home
Cute and charming baby Krishna loved to play, run around and eat butter
Every prank of Krishna was talk of the town, Legends to become
Boy Krishna conquered serpent Kalinga, saved friends and Yamuna river

Kansa, Krishna's Uncle tried to kill Krishna, Krishna escaped his every ploy
All the damsels of Vrindavan, surround handsome Krishna, with adoration
Whenever Krishna played flute for his cows, every one would sway with joy
Radha the Lucky one, the Love she had, got her Krishna's adoration

Krishna freed his parents, Guided and Lead Arjuna, a win over his Kingdom
Krishna has a mesmerising and enchanting Persona and Presence
His Preachings 'Bhagavad Gita' enlightens our souls, ' Pearls of Wisdom '
Krishna lives in every heart that has Faith as the Divine essence.

Just For You, Dearest, KAAVYA

Lord Brahma's great day rang,
With music in his heart, he sang;
His bubbling spirits soaring high,
With Saraswathi to him nigh.

All set for His work-with elation,
He sat for His vocation-creation—
He wanted His best revelation
To the world of this generation.

Brahma was in a very jubilant mood
And wanted to mould one—very good
He took the utmost care,
To chisel a form, very fair.

There emerged a beauteous mien,
With all the glory that had e'er been;
A ravishing beauty, very rare,
With a hallow of soft curly hair.

Saraswathi from her side
Bestowed intelligence in her to abide.
It was KAAVYA my grand-daughter, darling,
With beauty and brains e'er merging.

To-day is her birth-day,
Her very special lovely day;
May the Almighty on her ever shower
Blessings for all her dreams to flower!

Many many, Many many………
Happy returns of the day, my dearest!

Merciful Krishna

See the greatness of Krishna;
though Lord, Father and Master of the world
he willingly bears the arrogance of his close devotees
Shiva and Brahma were roaring mad
when Bhrigu kicked them,
but he gently pressed the sage's foot
when it struck his breast!'
Which of the gods
can emulate him?
He befriends selflessly;

Embracing his foe Ravana's brother, Vibhisana' as lovingly as his own
brother Bharata, sending to heaven the demoness Putana

who tried to kill him'-
Such is Sura's Lord,
the selfless Giver.

The Lord Is His Devotees' Slave

Whatever is a devotee's
caste, clan, family, or name,
Rama's love for him is the same.

Beggar and king
are one to him.

Say, of what caste could be
Brahma or Shiva?

Rama will never abide
in the egotistic man's heart
therefore his slave, Suradasa,
has abandoned pride.

Rama was born in the Raghu clan
Krishna found his home in Gokula.

Words fail to tell of
the Lord's love
universal, all-embracing;
Dhruva was a Kshatriya,
Prahlada a demon and Vidura the son of a maid:
yet the Lord gave them his supreme love,
Krishna washed the devotees' feet
at the Rajasuya.

The Lord is the slave
of his devotees
age after age.
The tongue can't relate
his countless deeds.

Says Suradasa, the Puranas and Vedas
are witness to these.

Awake, My Heart

Awake, my heart, to be loved, awake, awake!

The darkness silvers away, the morn doth break,
It leaps in the sky: unrisen lustres slake
The o'ertaken moon. Awake, O heart, awake!

She too that loveth awaketh and hopes for thee:
Her eyes already have sped the shades that flee,
Already they watch the path thy feet shall take:
Awake, O heart, to be loved, awake, awake!

And if thou tarry from her, - if this could be, -
She cometh herself, O heart, to be loved, to thee;
For thee would unashamed herself forsake:
Awake, to be loved, my heart, awake, awake!

Awake! The land is scattered with light, and see,
Uncanopied sleep is flying from field and tree;
And blossoming boughs of April in laughter shake:
Awake, O heart, to be loved, awake, awake!

Lo, all things wake and tarry and look for thee:
She looketh and saith, "O sun, now bring him to me.
Come, more adored, O adored, for his coming's sake,
And awake, my heart, to be loved, awake, awake!"
