Sonnet XXII. To Simplicity
O! I do love thee, meek Simplicity!
For of thy lays the lulling simpleness
Goes to my heart, and soothes each small distress--
Distress tho' small, yet haply great to me!
'Tis true, on Lady Fortune's gentlest pad
I amble on; yet tho' I know not why,
So sad I am! but should a friend and I
Grow cool and miff, O! I am very sad!
And then with sonnets and with sympathy
My dreamy bosom's mystic woes I pall;
Now of my false friend plaining plaintively,
Now raving at mankind in general:
But whether sad or fierce, 'tis simple all,
All very simple, meek Simplicity.

The Intelligent Friend is who understands your Glance - that you need a Boost
The Compassionate Friend is who makes his Tender Arms your Easy Warm Roost
The Caring Friend is who pleases you when you are in World-Weariness
The Mature Friend is who softly turns your Deep Sadness into Top Happiness
The Generous Friend is who gives you a Hand when your account of HOPE is spent
The Patient Friend is who shares with you his Precious Time just for a Positive Assist
The Modest Friend is who welcomes your Simple Signs of LoVe
The Peaceful Friend is who sends his PeaCe like a white Dove
The Spiritual Friend is who appreciates your Philosophical Way
The Confidant Friend is who keeps your Secret - He is your Ray
The Wise Friend is who rationalizes your foolishness - your Madness

The Sincere Friend is who tells you his opinion without any Mask
The Brave Friend is who melts your Fears - takes for you any Risk
This Complicated World is Ironic - is full of Absurdity
Life is Simple but it is so difficult by its Passive Simplicity
Life Difficulties are attached more and more to Complexity
In spite of all, A REAL FRIEND makes your Life Tranquility.

Simplicity
What I seek far yet seldom find
Is large simplicity of mind
In fellow men;
For I have sprouted from the sod,
Like Bobbie Burns, my earthly god,
--From plough to pen.
So I refuse my brain to vex
With problems prosy and complex,
Beyond my scope;
To me simplicity is peace,
So I persue it without cease,
And growing hope.
"The world is too much with us," wrote
Wise Wordsworth, whom I love to quote,
When rhymes are coy;
And simple is the world I see,
With bud and bloom and brook and tree
To give me joy.
So blissfully I slip away
From brazen and dynamic day
To dingle cool . . .
Now tell me friend, if in your eyes,
By being simple I am wise,--
Or just a fool?

Fathercraft
Well (said the small, meek man) we look for change
In this sad world, for these are stirring days;
And men pin hopes to methods new and strange
And see lost happiness thro' altered ways.
And I, who many a bitter cup have quaffed,
Hailed with delight this cult of Fathercraft.
But (said the small, meek man) I've scanned the rules
And studied well all that this author says,
Oh, I have pinned such faith to modern schools,
Hoping one day to see a great light blaze.
And now, it seems, I'm rather at a loss;
For all I glean is that the wife should be boss.
If (said the small, meek man) yielding one's pay,
Yielding one's will, seems new to Fathercraft,
And letting woman have her own sweet way;
Then (said the small, meek man) the author's daft!
I had such hopes! But, far as I can see,
Things go on in the same old way. Ah, me!

Sonnet: O Poverty! Though From Thy Haggard Eye
O, Poverty! though from thy haggard eye,
Thy cheerless mien, of every charm bereft,
Thy brow that Hope's last traces long have left,
Vain Fortune's feeble sons with terror fly;
I love thy solitary haunts to seek.
For Pity, reckless of her own distress;
And Patience, in her pall of wretchedness,
That turns to the bleak storm her faded cheek;
And Piety, that never told her wrong;
And meek Content, whose griefs no more rebel;
And Genius, warbling sweet her saddest song;
And Sorrow, listening to a lost friend's knell,
Long banished from the world's insulting throng;
With thee, and thy unfriended offspring, dwell.

A Simple Friend
A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A simple friend doesn't know your parents first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why it took you so long to call.
A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it.
A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens the refrigerator and helps himself.
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had fight

True Friend, Simple Friend
a true friend doese not lie a simple friend might

a true friend is there for you every step of the day but.... a simple friend will probably stay far away......
Friendship; Thy Glory is In Simplicity!
All Glorious friendship blossom in simple hearts,
The heart that free of fear,
Full of understanding,
Simple, yet full of love,
Colourless it shines, absorbing all goodness of friend!
Glory of Friendship is in its simplicity,
No complications, no anger,
No rejections,
Accepts friend's weakness as it is,
Goodness of all sort, in sharing the pain,
Just like channel to share flooding feelings!
Friendship is as simple as a plane mirror,
Showing friend his perfect image,
Neither concave, nor convex,
No blind spots!
Friendship is as white and fragrant as fresh jasmine,
Or may be like a lotus,
Raising above all weakness,
Friendship is streamlined flow,
No eddies, neither rocks nor cliff,
Friendship flows like river, valley of life green,
between mountains of bitterness of life!
Shine with daffodils sweet Of feelings,
wavy of smile and brows arching upward,
Glittering eyes, light will those hearts feel,
Friends are not like the pairs, lilly and Moon,
Sunflower and Sun!
It is like river and its banks,
Ocean and its shore,
One move another like
clouds and wind,
One smile at other, as innocent as a child,
No sympathy, only great tune of Love
symphony of
understanding hearts,
As simple as blue sky without clouds!

Simplicity Is An Art Itself
They blame me for being so simple,
But I know that simplicity is an art itself,
It's to hard to be simple,
And it needs great skill to express yourself,
I ask them if they are skilled enough to express themselves in simple terms,
If they can't, they are not fit to be called real poets.

Whats Simple Is True
Turn to me with frozen lips
Your hands are so icy cold
Your eyes burn bright against the frost-bit sky
You never seemed more lovely than you do tonight
Pale on the horizon
Like leaves frozen in the snow
Our two shadows merge inserparably
Will time stand still if its pierced with cold?
The more I live
The more I know
Whats simple is true
I love you
Theres a warmth in my heart
It haunts me when youre gone
Mend me to your side and never let go
Say time knows nothing, well never grow cold
The more I live
The more I know
Whats simple is true
I love you
Twilight descends on our silhouette
How soon spring comes
How soon spring forgets
I wanna hold time, say itll never begin
Old man winter be our friend
Old man winter be our friend
cause the more I live
The more I know
Whats simple is true
Whats simple is true
I love,
I love you

Things of great worth shall come to pass...
Things of great worth shall come to pass
By true foreknowledge and in fact,—
Names worthier than mine in fame
And words which earned me men's esteem.
Here breakers roar across the bay;
Wave follows wave unchangeably,
Their tracks, like letters traced in sand,
Erased by ebbing lines of foam.
So yet you're here at this resort.
I should have found you in this hall
At five, instead of vain small talk
I shared and wagging of my tongue.
I would have warned you, one so fair,
Mature, a woman brave and calm,
About the death in life-and bounds
No higher than the ant's low life.
Great poets, through experience,
Find words so simple and restrained
That in the end they can't do more
Than wait in silence and in awe.
In faith and kinship with real life
And with the future knit as one,
We're bound to find immortal words
Of unbelievable simplicity.
Yet keep them holy in your hearts
Or we shall not be spared at all.
Men quickly grasp the complex schemes
When simplicity's their greater need.

A Fine Culture
They were indeed simple people
the people of the east
A FINE CULTURE they did have
the people of the east
A FINE CULTURE
the east should have given the rest
when the west brought out the 'machine'
the east brought out the 'human'
Today's world is not lacking in machine
Today's world is lacking in human
Today's east is sending 'productive men' all over
the east should have sent 'human men' all over
How did the east stray?
when did it loose it's way?
The east then found everything in simplicity
simplicity was it's strength and beauty
simplicity gave the east it's integrity
simplicity never ever gave the east an inferiority
Today the east mocks the west
the 'material' wealth of the west..has
put to rest...the
true spirit of the east
We blame it on simplicity
we say we were plundered due to our simplicity
a handed down book on simplicity
only became a liability..we say
What the west had gained
everybody did gain...the 'machine'
what the east had lost
everbody did loose...the 'human'
Today what are we in
an 'un human' man is managing a dangerous dumb 'machine'...and
THAT'S THE DANGER WE ARE IN...without
a fine culture

A True Friend
A friend is someone that you are close to
A friend is someone that always remains true
A friend is someone that sticks to you like glue
A friend is someone that understands what you are going through
A friend is someone that is kind
A friend is someone who would never leave you behind
A friend is someone who is the greatest gift to mankind
A friend is someone who could never let me down
A friend is someone who always around (when you need 'em)
A friend is YOU. That's right.
You've been a very good friend to me
Only you can see
Our true friendship
Simple
A simple man
Of simple needs
He is.
Sex,
Food
And
Money.
What else
Can be
Simpler
Than this
Simplicity? ! ;)

To Miss Jessie Lewars
The sun lies clasped in amber cloud
Half hidden in the sea,
And o'er the sands the flowing tide
Comes racing merrilee.
The hawthorn hedge is white with bloom
The wind is soft and lown
And sad and still you watch by me
Your hand clasped in my own.
Oh, let the curtain bide, Jessie
And lift my head a wee,
And let the bonnie setting sun
Glint in on you and me.
The world seems fair and bright, Jessie
Near loving hearts like you,
But poonith's blast sifts simmer love,
And makes leal friendships few.
How aften in the dreary night,
I clasp my burning hands
Upon those throbbing sleepless lids,
O'er eyes like glowing brands,
And ponder in my weary brain,
If haply when I'm dead
My old boon friends for love of me
Will give my bairnies bread.
Oh, did the poor not help the poor,
Each in their simple way,
With humble gift and kindly love,
God pity them I say.
For many a man who clasped my hand
With friendship o'er the bowl
When the wine halo had passed away
Proved but a niggard soul.
Oh, blessed hope 'midst our distress,
There is a promise made,
That in the day the rough wind blows,
The east wind shall be stayed.
A few short years and those I love
Will come again to me,
In that bright land withoout a sun,
That land without a sea.
Oh, wilt thou gang o'nights, Jessie,
To my forsaken hearth,
And be as thou has been to me,
The truest friend on earth.
So sweetly in your linnet voice,
You'll sing my weans to rest,
While Jessie leans her weary head,
Upon thy loving breast.
Oh, what is fame? Its wealth of lays
Cools not the fevered brow,
Wilt tell his name in future days
Who whistled at the plough
And wrote a simple song or two,
For happier hearts to sing
Among the shining sheaves of corn
Or round the household ring.
Yet would I praise the bubble fame
If but my artless lays
Brought thy true worth and lovingness
For future time to praise.
True friend I bless the poet skill
Which won a friend like thee,
Whose love 'twixt hopes of home and heaven
Is with me constantly.

Epitaph: Being Part Of An Inscription For A Monument
Farewell, my best-beloved; whose heavenly mind
Genius with virtue, strength with softness join'd;
Devotion, undebased by pride or art,
With meek simplicity, and joy of heart.
Though sprightly, gentle; though polite, sincere;
And only of thyself a judge severe;
Unblamed, unequall'd in each sphere of life,
The tenderest Daughter, Sister, Parent, Wife,
In thee, their Patroness, th' afflicted lost;
Thy friends, their pattern, ornament, and boast;
And I - but ah, can words my loss declare,
Or paint th' extremes of transport and despair!
O Thou, beyond what verse or speech can tell,
My guide, my friend, my best-beloved, farewell!

A True Friend
A true friend
A true friend is the one who picks you up when you fall
A true friend is one that won't lie
A true friend is there when you call
A true friend is there when you want to die
A true friend knows just what to say
A true friend won't care what other people think
A true friend will help you find your way
A true friend will make sure you don't sink
A true friend will help you choose your path
A true friend will know when something is wrong
A true friend has to sometimes face your wrath
A true friend makes you feel like you belong
A true friend
