Phantom Or Fact? A Dialogue In Verse
Author.
A lovely form there sate beside my bed,
And such a feeding calm its presence shed,
A tender love so pure from earthly leaven
That I unnethe the fancy might control,
'Twas my own spirit newly come from heaven
Wooing its gentle way into my soul!
But ah! the change -- It had not stirred, and yet
Alas! that change how fain would I forget?
That shrinking back, like one that had mistook!
That weary, wandering, disavowing Look!
'Twas all another, feature, look and frame,
And still, methought, I knew it was the same!
Friend.
This riddling Tale, to what does it belong?
Is't History? Vision? or an idle Song?
Or rather say at once, within what space
Of Time this wild disastrous change took place?
Author.
Call it a moment's work (and such it seems),
This Tale's a Fragment from the Life of Dreams;
But say, that years matured the silent strife,
And 'tis a Record from the Dream of Life.

God Uses Change
Life will surely have ups and downs, in large cities and small towns,
No one anywhere is sheltered from, changes in life when they come.
It is said when on the mountain top, be mindful that you could drop,
Back down into that valley low, at a time when you won’t even know.
Change may not be pleasant friend, but with change there is no end,
What may be unpleasant to some, can reverse with change to come,
When what is up does come down, that fixed smile turns to a frown,
This when we pin our emotions to, the changes seen by me and you.
Through all changes that are seen, there is a joy which we can glean,
This when we see the One above, those changes that are spoken of,
Joy, which fits hearts like a glove, all provided by our God with love,
Who in all times remains the same, God above Who doesn’t change.
Life’s changes experienced by all, are of a plan that’s far from small,
It’s God’s plan with a sure destiny, with the final place being Eternity.
All these changes are used by God, as a mental and a spiritual prod,
Moving men’s hearts to the place, so they accept unchanging Grace.
God desires one change for all, to change the destiny of one’s soul,
To make all souls Heaven bound, where constant change isn’t found,
That is after one more change to come, for all who know God’s Son,
As the rapture changes all in the Lord, for they shall live forevermore.

Change! Change! Change!
change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.
change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...
change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!
loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....
but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

A Twist In The Tail
-------------------------
As you watch from your house on the hill
World keeps spinning around you you're standing still
And a thought rivers enters your mind
Something happened once in my life
A fading picture of you that's so hard to describe
I've been where the sun never shines
That's alright there's a change in the story
That's alright there's a change in the plan
A twist in the tale
Face in the mirror head in the clouds
Hanging on to a dream that you can't do without
As it drops like a stone without trace
Give what you want take what you need
Squeezing so hard there's no room to breathe
And your flavour has fallen from grace
That's alright there's a change in the story
That's alright there's a change in the plan
A twist in the tale
I saw you dancing
Dancing on air
You were lost in the in the starlight
No one but me really cared
Every question turns out a lie
Can't you swallow the truth for once in your life
I loved you but don't ask me why
It's alright there's a change in the story
It's alright there's a change in the plan
A twist in the tale

Dreams Of Ordinary Men
There is an essence in the water
There is a spirit in the sky
There is a spider drawing webs
To crucify a fly
The fly is drawing nearer
Just as if he knew
How we all must fit the pattern
How the pattern must fit you
Everybody say amen
These are the dreams of ordinary men
This is the world that well be living in
Out of the dreams of ordinary men
I mistook all your intentions
But you never did deceive
I have a helpless fascination
For the web you wove for me
We had nightly public beatings
But we slept in private hells
And I feel no guilt or vengeance
We just couldnt help ourselves
So whats the answer I have to find
To change my world like I change my mind
And change my life
If I could only change my dreams

Beauty & The Beast
Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Than somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small, to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the beast
Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will arise
Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the beast.

Moment To Moment
Written by gerry beckley and phil galdston, 1998
Found on human nature.
There was a time I knew
All that there was to know
No one could tell me then
I was wrong
I wasnt strong enough
To see where my weakness lay
The world that you hold so tight
Could slip away
And from moment to moment
Your life can change
Theres a storm over the horizon
A sea no one can see
Somewhere around the bend
Right when you least expect
Someone can walk away
With no regret
Leaving an empty space
Breaking a sacred trust
All of your shiny dreams
Begin to rust
Yes from moment to moment your life can change
Theres a storm over the horizon
The sea you cannot see
Yes from moment to moment
Promise me youll never change
Promise me youll stay the same
Promise me youll never change
Yes from moment to moment your life can change
Theres a storm over the horizon
A sea youll never see
Yes from moment to moment your life can change
Theres a light when the sun is rising
A day after today
Promise me youll never change (promise me youll never change)
Promise me youll stay the same (the same)
Promise me youll never change
Every moment is a shining light
Every moment is the darkest night
Every moment gotta get it right
Every single moment
Every moment is a shining light
Every moment is the darkest night
Every moment gotta get it right
Every moment is a shining light
Every moment is the darkest night
Every moment gotta get it right
Every single moment
Every moment is a shining light
Every moment is the darkest night
Every moment gotta get it right
Every single moment

The Course of Life, Time, And Events and The Process of Change
Time or fate may separate friends, lovers,
But friendship or love that's true will ever
Thenceforth continue to live forever,
True love conquers the odd with its power.
As time passes by, things change with the time,
Every moment, hour, day, month, and year,
All things have their turn to change with the time,
Life, time, and events change with the years.
Everyone, everything, have a time and day,
A time to change, end, begin a new day,
Change is life, the course of life everyday,
All things change, and we change with them all days.
Only the Eternal one is constant,
All things in the universe, inconstant,
But despite it all, love is important,
The world may change, but true love is constant.

Loves About To Change My Heart
I never needed someone
cos I always led a life of my own
Never waited for the ring of the phone
Never had anyone here
When I got home
But loves about to change my heart
Im waiting for the doorbell to chime
When I always lived one day at a time
I thought that I was getting on fine
Never felt I was alone
til you change your mind
Loves about to change my heart
Could a day be so long
When I always felt secure and so strong
And all the time as I went along
Never thought I would desire
So much to belong
Loves about to change my heart
Loves about to change my heart, ooh
Never ever thought the sky was so blue
Never ever thought Id feel so new
Always thought Id know what to do
But I guess I wasnt counting on you
What did I know
I always felt so much on control
I thought Id make it all on my own
Never thought I would forget
All I have known
Loves about to change my heart
Loves about to change my heart
Loves about to change, change, change
My heart...

Sonnet: Change You Can But…
Change you can your hair color, not your skin;
Change you can your smile and grin: not your eyes;
Change you can your sex partners, not your kin;
Change you can your sinful life: Be soul-wise!
Change you can your friends and foes, not parents;
Change you can your teacher/guide, not your brain;
Change you can your exam-marks, not talents;
Change you can your habits bad and be sane.
Change you can the environment, not the sun;
Change you can the landscape old, not the soil;
Change you can your temperament and not run;
Change you can your heart and mind: you must toil.
Change you can your ambitions but be brave;
Change you can your life-styles much but behave!

Change in Me
Why I need change?
for better or for the worst?
Any choices to change or not?
I need change when
There is an opportunity to grow and mature
Things being done the wrong way
Dealing with a world of change
I rediscover change
Change is the law of life
Those who look only
to the past or the present
Are certain to miss the future
I may change anything I want or don't want
But I can't change everything I want
My dilemma is
I hate change and
love it at the same time
Best of all
What I want is
For things to remain the same
but get better.
Lastly,
I need strong courage to change,
To master change;
Be the master of change.
Always I want change,
To get where I want to be,
Be the change I want to have.

Altiora Peto
O for a vision of the perfect light
To shame the splendour of the morning star!
O for a breath from out the Infinite
Where the great heart of Being throbs afar!
O for that sound, too fine for mortal ears,
The music of the silence of the spheres!
The Masters fathomed not that song sublime,
Tho’ oft on straining ear and brain o’erwrought,
And heart grown faint at heights too sheer to climb,
The roll of some immortal wave of thought
Swept by and left, adown its troubled verge,
The lingering echoes of its mighty surge.
To each there came the passion and the fire,
The breadth of vision and the sudden light,
And for a moment on an earthly lyre
Quivered a tremor of the Infinite;
Yet to each poet of that deep-browed throng
’Twas but the shadow of Immortal Song.
’Twas but the presage of th’ Omniscient Soul
That moves and throbs thro’ all this wondrous plan,
Unseen, unheard, unknown: that is the Whole,
Yet stirs in atoms and the heart of Man;
That thro’ all phase of change, and form, and name
Remains and works eternally the same.
That seems to whisper us:—“All life is one,
Reborn in death it blossoms from decay,
The same when first the fury of the sun
Belched forth his satellites of fiery spray,
The same when he and all his planet train
Shall plough the Ether, cold—to glow again!
“Whither, O whither? Still th’ eternal cry,
That from the ages rolled and yet shall roll!
Who shall declare to man his destiny—
A unit in the Cosmos of the Soul—
A spirit-germ, storm-tossed in doubt and strife,
That feebly dreams of larger light and life?”
Systems and stars their courses onward sweep,
And creeds and nations flower and fade away.
Still Nature worketh out her purpose deep—
New life, new thought for that of yesterday.
Unto the utmost confines of her range
One law abideth of unchanging change.
Around us dwells the secret no man reads!
About us swells the music none can hear!
Behind us lie the ruins of the creeds!
Before us loom the mystery and the fear!
To Love and Hope our souls are clinging fast,
What giveth these, perchance gives Truth at last!

Dreams
Oh! that my young life were a lasting dream!
My spirit not awakening, till the beam
Of an Eternity should bring the morrow.
Yes! tho' that long dream were of hopeless sorrow,
'Twere better than the cold reality
Of waking life, to him whose heart must be,
And hath been still, upon the lovely earth,
A chaos of deep passion, from his birth.
But should it be- that dream eternally
Continuing- as dreams have been to me
In my young boyhood- should it thus be given,
'Twere folly still to hope for higher Heaven.
For I have revell'd, when the sun was bright
I' the summer sky, in dreams of living light
And loveliness,- have left my very heart
In climes of my imagining, apart
From mine own home, with beings that have been
Of mine own thought- what more could I have seen?
'Twas once- and only once- and the wild hour
From my remembrance shall not pass- some power
Or spell had bound me- 'twas the chilly wind
Came o'er me in the night, and left behind
Its image on my spirit- or the moon
Shone on my slumbers in her lofty noon
Too coldly- or the stars- howe'er it was
That dream was as that night-wind- let it pass.
I have been happy, tho' in a dream.
I have been happy- and I love the theme:
Dreams! in their vivid coloring of life,
As in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife
Of semblance with reality, which brings
To the delirious eye, more lovely things
Of Paradise and Love- and all our own!
Than young Hope in his sunniest hour hath known.

Love's Young Dream
Oh! the days are gone, when Beauty bright
My heart's chain wove;
When my dream of life, from morn till night,
Was love, still love.
New hope may bloom,
And days may come,
Of milder calmer beam,
But there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream:
No, there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream.
Though the bard to purer fame may soar,
When wild youth's past;
Though he win the wise, who frown'd before,
To smile at last;
He'll never meet
A joy so sweet,
In all his noon of fame,
As when first he sung to woman's ear
His soul-felt flame,
And, at every close, she blush'd to hear
The one loved name.
No, -- that hallow'd form is ne'er forgot
Which first love traced;
Still it lingering haunts the greenest spot
On memory's waste.
'Twas odour fled
As soon as shed;
'Twas morning's winged dream;
'Twas a light, tht ne'er can shine again
On life's dull stream:
Oh! 'twas light that n'er can shine again
On life's dull stream.

Change
Someday when Im over you
And when I think Im able to
Well, I might try to be
Your friend again
But your restless heart
And rovin eyes
My jealousy, these
Endless fights
Ive got to get out of your life
Or I will never mend
Chorus:
I guess Ill die a bit each day
But Im always dying anyway
And I dont have the heart to
Stay, and I cant take the pain
I know weve tried to no avail
Our heaven now has
Turned to hell
The same old hurt
We know so well
And somethings got
To change
We both know its got to end
The passions gone
Its just pretend
And one of us have got
To make the move
We might as well just give it up
Weve lost respect and
Theres no trust
And without this, theres
No real love
Its just some sad excuse
2nd chorus:
I guess Ill die a bit each day
But Im always dying anyway
And theres nothing left but walk away
Aint this a crying shame
A change of pace
A change of heart
A change of place
A place to start
And well be better off apart
Our only chance is change
Tag:
And we never will
But something has to change
Fade:
But someday when Im over you
And when I think Im able to
Then I will try to be your friend again
But I dont want to see
Your face til then
Change, I need a change
I need a change
We need a change

Love apart
We look at the same moon,
we look at the same sun,
we look at the same stars,
just at different times…
We are on the same planet,
We like the same things
We have the same feelings
Though we are far apart…
We can’t change the moon – there is only one.
We can’t change the sun – there is just one.
We can’t change the stars – we just have these.
but we can change the times – we just have to meet.
We can’t change the planet – we just have one earth
We can’t change the things – we like what we like
We can’t change our feelings – time doesn’t heal love!
But we can change the distance – we can move!
These lines are for Ivan,
The love of my life!
though far apart for years,
Our love still survived,
We belong together,
We both know it's true
Always and forever!
Ivan, I really love you!

I Am Me
I don't care what you may say or think
I am me and I'm not gonna change
I don't care who you are
Its my life
I am me and me wants to sit in dark
And imagine life if you were still here
I don't mind of your thoughts and fears
Sit back and relax for once
Always trying to change me
Why?
Cause I am me and no one can change me
I am the girl who writes and cries
The girl who cares to much
I am me no one can change me
Not even a guy can change me
People needs to take me for who I am
I am me
The girl who loves sports
Why would you want to change me?
Its my life so sit back and watch
I'm gonna stay who I am
Cause I am me
The girl who wants to run like a horse
Just want to chase the stars
The dream of the life time
Why would you want to bring me down?
The girl who wants things never to change
I will be the same thats the fact
Changing me isn't gonna change the fact of this life that I live
I am me
Do you get it now?
I don't want to change
Its my life and I am me
The girl who laughs about anything
The one who grooves to music
I can face the facts that I'm not like the other girls
That's the way I want it to be
No one can change me
No one can erase my past and write it all over
Its been written and I have to live with my mistakes and my fears

Change The World
Chorus:
Together well change the world
This is our destiny
And make it a better place
In peace and harmony
Together well change the world
Can be reality
And then we gonna, make it right
And stop the misery
Chorus b:
All the people in every nation
Now we gonna rise above
All the problems and frustration
Now stand up and say enough
Rap 1:
You can call me a dreamer, I guess Im a believer
I believe we can change the world one day
Anyway, sooner or later, were natures creator
We wanna live in peace, stop to run away
Open your mind, the view doesnt get clearer
This is your time, dont let nobody stop ya
Here is your destiny, holding your hand
Lets call it a friend
Rap bridge:
Everybody stand up, up
We can make things better, better
Everybody for peace, peace
Come on lets change the world
Midpart:
Lets change the world - together we are strong
Lets change the world - we know whats going on
Lets change it all - the world is in our hands
We all need peace, we all need hope
Let us change the world
Rap 2:
Stop, step back dont let somebody play the game
Scream it loud, we dont want no black rain
No pain anymore in human history
Im talking about a world, full of melody
My life keeps on running, - just faster and faster
I pray for a wind of change, dont want that disaster
Fighting with spirit, - for everyone, for you and me
This world is my place to be

The lost Key
the air tells the wind when to fly, the stone
hold the mountain to stop and the night call
the darkness to shine the star above beyond
the universe, as envy entangle the galaxy
hangs on the heaven best of creation
watered me the distance of your heart and
push the every cloud near to my wondering
soul; the beginning of where the roots of
fading courage as it lose every glorious
moment of the past joy and happiness you
give
ever change the time that you'll with me in a
dream of reality, back then and try again
waiting not the magic of a real friend, may be
this is the time that love wouldn't end and
maybe it is you who'll take my heart
as you fill my life tonight, glows of darkness
flows in a dawning dream of every dreams,
an awakening stream of lonely years from
whom you want to hold ever more in every
moment of time, till love never ends
key my day and hold my heart......waiting the
season of moment to come and carried me
in your arm of forgiveness
