Sonnet XX: What It Is to Breathe

What it is to breathe and live without life;
How to be pale with anguish, red with fear;
T'have peace abroad, and nought within but strife;
Wish to be present, and yet shun t'appear;
How to be bold far off, and bashful near;
How to think much, and have no words to speak;
To crave redress, yet hold affliction dear;
To have affection strong, a body weak;
Never to find, and evermore to seek;
And seek that which I dare not hope to find;
T'affect this life, and yet this life disleek;
Grateful t'another, to myself unkind:
This cruel knowledge of these contraries,
Delia, my heart hath learn'd out of those eyes.

The Mediator

O Christ, true Son of God most high,
Thy name we praise for ever;
Whoe'er to Thee for help doth cry
Shall find Thee fail him never;
'Tis Thou wilt plead,
Thou intercede
With God, for us who need Thy prayers so sore:
Thy bitter strife
Hath wrought us life,
And Thine be thanks and praise for evermore!

To Thee the Father giveth now
All power in earth and heaven;
Sin, Satan, Death to Thee must bow,
All fetters Thou hast riven,
Bade fear to cease,
And made our peace,
That now to God we dare our hearts outpour:
Thy bitter strife
Hath wrought us life,
And Thine be thanks and praise for evermore!

Fulness of grace is in Thy Word;
The Life, the Truth, the Way
To life eternal art Thou, Lord;
To Thee alone we pray,
Who didst appear
A servant here
To bear the sin that crushed the world before:
Thy bitter strife
Hath wrought us life,
And Thine be thanks and praise for evermore!

Life is a Journey; Not a Destination

The time has come
To say good bye
I gave it my all
I really did try

I took your heart
Which I broke in two
I tried to fix it
I did all I could do

Your eyes once warm
Now dead and cold
Your words once soft
Now cutting and bold

I became the man
You knew I could be
But now it's too late
These changes you won't see

You live in my past
Not here in today
Tomorrow doesn't matter
Our dreams washed away

You need to be happy
So I need to go
These changes to you
Are only a show

I bid you farewell
I wish you the best
I hope you find peace
I hope you find rest

I hope you find life
How you want it to be
I hope you find love
Even if not with me

My journey continues
Even if I'm alone
My Lord God will guide me
To wherever is home

For He knows my heart
And he knows my soul
In him I do trust
I am not alone
For the day will come
When I know his plan
I once was a boy
But now I'm a man

Even though I feel weak
I know I am strong
My path it is narrow
My path is so long

So I bid you farewell
And I hope I will find
That your path is not different
You're just two steps behind

For this is life is so short
And I have no control
My one living wish
Is to be one with your soul

It may not be tomorrow
But in the next life
Eternity together
As husband and wife

Take care my sweet princess
Take care my best friend
I will love you forever
As time has no end

On my path I continue
My heart it does know
Where God wants to take me
So with Him I will go

Hand In Hand

Sometimes in life
When you're not unsure
Of things that make it right or wrong
When, were, how and why does this carry on

You then ask yourself
with uncertainty and doubt
If at times what you learn
is indeed the truth
General things that affect your life
Often affect the way you think

A person dies and a baby cries
And you wonder is that all there is in life
Religion, war, societies will there ever be world peace

Time passes on as the sands of time
Slowly takes away your strife
Because as you grow you live and learn
You taste the knowledge, the tree of life

Many will say that's not the way
In spirit you must always be
But to hold them both
Hand in hand is the only way to be

Freedom from strife

Rivers of molten lava
Fresh hot salty tears

Lay to rest my worries
A mountain of dead fish

Kill all the prejudice
Lie your way through my trust

Battle all the bad
The goods already gone

Claim all the glory
Watch as your life dies

New anxiety a gruesome life
Try to speak out

Silenced by family
What are they for anyway?

Love like no other
Face the bleak slur of our kind

Try to find peace
In this chaotic hell

Live like me
Watch the slander, roll off my back

Crave affection off the dead souls
Wandering the plains after death

Envy those who rest in peace
Hate those who make this life torture

Yearn for life to stop
Cry for the pain to end

Laugh at those who hide their suffering
Desire after that last breath

Spit at those who think you’re weak
Let’s see them do better

Forsaken life
For only in death do we find freedom from strife

I Hope God Hears Me

so I always know what to say
I hope God hears me speak
because peace is what I seek

I hope God shows me how to cope
so I don't give up the hope
I hope God will stay with me
so I know what I am to be

I hope God will show me how to stand
and always be with me to hold my hand
I hope God will show me the way
so I won't give up in my day

I hope God will be patient with me
so the comfort I will see
I hope God will show me how not to hide
and always be with me by my side

I hope God will show me how to start
so I carry him in my heart
I hope God will keep me from harms
and be there to hold out his arms

I hope God will show me the love
so I will see the peace of the dove
I hope God will show me the lead
so I will find out my need

I hope God will show me how to turn
because I have so much to learn

What Is Said

How could I ever tell you how important what you say
can be
that the words of any man in a day
can affect a life, millions, or even me
our words have so much power
so do not cower
and do not shy away
do not hold back what you want to say
because your words affect a lifetime
speak your mind
all shall be fine
do not fear rejection for the reward is sublime
to save life or cause a turn
to help the world, or save one destined to burn
but forget not that words destroy and create
break down and perpetuate
the power of words and their force of love
the power of words and their capacity for sadistic destruction
forget not that you hold inside this death and life
the power to create argument and strife
or peace and tranquility
remember, remember dear child that each word can kill
each word can fill
with love and joy
or malice and contempt
so don't attempt
to downplay their importance
and play the fool
because its those words that are a part of you
its those words that yours my child
now use them wisely, say what must be said
for with all my years of experience i have learned that what's most important
sometimes...
is simply
What's said

We’ve Faith To Hope

When peace on earth has blessed our ground
When innocent of sin
Then Christ God’s Lamb we’ve truly found
And Fire burns deep within

With peace God brings His love inside
Brings faith The Truth to learn
Brings hope to be the faithful bride
Of Christ who’ll soon return

Faith is the hope of that unseen
Of promises divine
That we one day as Heaven’s queen
May drink eternal wine

What hope has faith that’s placed in man?
What hope can such faith bring?
Is this not part of Satan’s plan?
To grieve our Lord and King

The word of God is all too plain
The past has shown quite clear
There’s nought to learn, there’s nought to gain
From man who’s wisdom’s here

We need to seek for higher things
We need to seek The Light
We need to seek the truth Christ sings
On pages black on white

Knowledge will come with wisdom’s dawn
Waiting at Jesus feet
We’ll drink His blood and be reborn
Through spiritual food we eat

By faith alone these things are done
Through faith we understand
That through our faith true life is won
Within God’s Promised Land

Speak Gently

Speak gently! -- It is better far
To rule by love, than fear --
Speak gently -- let not harsh words mar
The good we might do here!

Speak gently! -- Love doth whisper low
The vows that true hearts bind;
And gently Friendship's accents flow;
Affection's voice is kind.

Speak gently to the little child!
Its love be sure to gain;
Teach it in accents soft and mild: --
It may not long remain.

Speak gently to the young, for they
Will have enough to bear --
Pass through this life as best they may,
'T is full of anxious care!

Speak gently to the aged one,
Grieve not the care-worn heart;
The sands of life are nearly run,
Let such in peace depart!

Speak gently, kindly, to the poor;
Let no harsh tone be heard;
They have enough they must endure,
Without an unkind word!

Speak gently to the erring -- know,
They may have toiled in vain;
Perchance unkindness made them so;
Oh, win them back again!

Speak gently! -- He who gave his life
To bend man's stubborn will,
When elements were in fierce strife,
Said to them, 'Peace, be still.'

Speak gently! -- 't is a little thing
Dropped in the heart's deep well;
The good, the joy, which it may bring,
Eternity shall tell.

Ballad: Pope Benedict XVI in US,2008

The Apostle of peace had come:
Pope Benedict by name;
To US, where he was welcome,
With missionary aim.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

In doldrums lies, world of today;
Man’s faith in God is weak;
Most think that science has final say;
So, God, most men don’t seek.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

The family in danger lies;
Now love does not prevail;
As virtues are replaced by vice;
And freedom blows like gale.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

The quest for God is dying fast;
Rely men in own toil;
‘The mole is mound’- all sins of past!
Man’s soul is on the spoil.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

With fervent prayers, send your pleas,
To God who is above;
The caring God will surely ease
Your problems, with great love.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

Encounter living God in life;
Blessings will follow then;
God cares for you in any strife;
Keep eyes upon Heaven.

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

Though holy is matrimony,
And sacrosanct is sex,
Man sins for sake of more money,
In ways that all can vex!

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

Like love of God that radiates,
Let man’s heart do like-wise;
Let’s take the narrow road to Gates
Of Heaven; Be soul-wise!

‘Let faith in earthly life, God find;
Christ is the only hope,
For modern world, and all mankind, ’
Said Benedict, the Pope.

Mine

This may seem sappy and may seem weak
But I wish to find what so many seek
A happy feeling with neither reason nor rhyme
A simple perfection that only I can call mine

Some may say that what I wish for is not real
That I act like the starved before a glorious meal
But I so desperately want to feel so free of any confine
To lay beside, to walk alongside the one I call mine

They say that what I seek is nothing but a fairy tale
But I truly hope to succeed where others may fail
Find the one who holds my tears, makes everything fine
I wish to hold their heart and for them to hold mine

So I will listen to my soul and not these broken fools
And find the one that my possessive mind can't rule
I know first-hand that I have some major flaws
But I hope I can find the one to which I can say ‘I am yours'

Dream.dare.seek

Dream to dare and dream what others don’t seek
Seek to dare another dream that dares to dream.
Dare to dream the dream that others seek
Seek the dream that others don’t dare.

Dream yourself away from here
Fly yourself away from fear.
Across the barren lake of infinity
Towards the beaming celestial city.

Seek what your heart desires
Beyond the haggle and twist of buyers.
Where the world cannot be bought or sold
Hearts are the only things made or silver and gold.

Dare to let your mind take flight
Away from darkness into the light
Forever and ever this world shall turn.
Our hearts and eyes, lies to burn.

Worry

Friend worry is just Satan’s ploy, to rob you of your God given joy.
He may say that you have control, as he desires to ruin your soul.
Worry not; a command of The Lord, by many simply goes ignored.
Seek first The Kingdom of God, this He says with a confident nod.

Also seek His Righteousness, and He will fill your heart with bliss.
Seek Him first, my dear friend, and all will be yours come the end.
Your concerns to Him just release, and He’ll fill you with His peace.
His Peace that comes from above, comes with His unceasing Love.

Worrying friend will never achieve, what Satan leads you to believe
Not only is worry a waste of time, it robs you of your peace of mind.
Worrying will not add to your life, but fill your heart with undue strife,
Giving your heart unneeded grief, instead of delivering to you relief.

My friend, be not one of little faith, while you anxiously contemplate,
Fearing what may be next in life, which only adds to unneeded strife.
Think upon everything God does, to fill your heart instead with trust,
Christ at work in your daily deeds, is there supplying all your needs.

Look at all the birds up in the air, which feed and live without a care,
And how God clothes all the grass, which only for one season lasts.
The Lord who cares for all the earth, placed on you a special worth,
So friend, worry not about your life, simply give it all to Jesus Christ.

It's To Tolerance The World Needs To Be Steered

We are all differently abled that's a fact of life,
What gives one relief gives another strife,
Among the Earths population the problem is rife,
So why do we view different as weird.

I may have no legs but I can still get around,
What I can manage to some will dumfound,
My abilities in life I will always expound,
I hate the fact I am besmeared.

I may have no arms but I can write with my toes,
Like you I can smell with my beautiful nose,
In life I'll fight through all the highs and the lows,
Without asking to be revered.

I may have no eyes but I can still compete,
You would never see me admit defeat,
As a person I look upon myself as complete,
I'm certainly not to be feared.

Some will say I am out of my mind,
Comments like that are cruel and unkind,
Look inside me and I know you will find,
It's to challenge that humans are geared.

I can do most anything much the same as you,
My aim is to give credit where credit is due,
I will try my best to see any task through,
So I certainly don't need to be jeered.

I can do things you could never achieve,
You can do others I would never believe,
To say I am worthless is just being naïve,
There are those whose minds need to be cleared.

Nobody is perfect that's what makes us unique,
In life we all have our troubles to seek,
Abusing another is a sign you are weak,
It's to each other we should all be endeared.

Being treated like dirt is not what I want,
My disabilities I will never flaunt,
If you're different from me I will not taunt,

A Valediction

If we must part,
Then let it be like this.
Not heart on heart,
Nor with the useless anguish of a kiss;
But touch mine hand and say:
'Until to-morrow or some other day,
If we must part'.

Words are so weak
When love hath been so strong;
Let silence speak:
'Life is a little while, and love is long;
A time to sow and reap,
And after harvest a long time to sleep,
But words are weak.'

Cambridge in the Long

Where drowsy sound of college-chimes
Across the air is blown,
And drowsy fragrance of the limes,
I lie and dream alone.

A dazzling radiance reigns o'er all--
O'er gardens densely green,
O'er old grey bridges and the small,
Slow flood which slides between.

This is the place; it is not strange,
But known of old and dear.--
What went I forth to seek? The change
Is mine; why am I here?

Alas, in vain I turned away,
I fled the town in vain;
The strenuous life of yesterday
Calleth me back again.

And was it peace I came to seek?
Yet here, where memories throng,
Ev'n here, I know the past is weak,
I know the present strong.

This drowsy fragrance, silent heat,
Suit not my present mind,
Whose eager thought goes out to meet
The life it left behind.

Spirit with sky to change; such hope,
An idle one we know;
Unship the oars, make loose the rope,
Push off the boat and go. . .

Ah, would what binds me could have been
Thus loosened at a touch!
This pain of living is too keen,
Of loving, is too much.

Seek & You Will Find

You been laying it on the line
Too much fat to burn
You been stuck on a course
While the world around you turns
You been out in the rain
But babe, oh the sun still shines
Well you might walk through a cloud
Seek and you will find
Seek and you will find
Its like treading on thin ice
Hot stones in your shoes
Well you know the world can blow your mind
Unless you got the guts to cut the fuse
You been out on the streets
And babe how the road does wind
Well you might look straight ahead
Seek and you will find
Seek and you will find (seek and you will find)
You been out on a limb
And so many mountains to climb
Well you just might be sitting on a rainbow, honey
Seek and you will find
Seek and you will find

It Stands To Reason

It stands in today’s life to reason, that some men simply have none,
And during this present season, some have affected my loving son.
As he watches men around him, and how they live out life each day,
Embracing this darkened world of sin, as they walk the broader way.

Sound reasoning and judgment, are certainly missing from their life,
Not following The Spirit God sent, through our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Their thinking can affect any heart, as they walk in the dark of night,
With the twisted reason they impart, to those brought up in the light.

Common sense eludes them friend, as these men live their daily life,
Creating only confusion in the end, while adding to a world of strife.
With their life confusing at best, they always question how and why?
But with their heart seldom at rest, they never seek our Lord on high.

What these men need from my son, is a strong witness from his life,
That will show each and everyone, he knows the Savior Jesus Christ.
Daily displaying his Savior’s Light, when everything around is wrong,
Always doing what is just and right, to show a faith, sure and strong.

Together we could impact those, who have not wisdom from above,
Granted from The One who rose, saving us through His perfect love.
Together we could help the others, as they see the real change in us,
Come to Christ, to be our brothers, as in Christ they place their trust.

Looking Forward To Tomorrow

Many things that demand our concern will shortly my friend be gone,
While in the fire they shall burn our life in Eternity shall go on.
The things upon this earth are fleeting, along with our earthly life,
And in the clouds at our meeting, Christ will end our earthly strife.

For the many things in this world are indeed very temporal my friend,
And in the message that we herald, we look eagerly towards the end.
We look beyond the present time and this world that we now live in,
For by God’s own design, the end is when our new life shall begin.

We live in hope this present day as we look forward towards tomorrow,
For this present world in many ways brings upon us all many sorrows.
And after the earth is purged of sin, by The Lord’s cleansing fire,
Then a new world will begin where righteousness will be man’s desire.

But for now we press forward longing for that Eternal City up above,
And by the hand of The Lord, we are guided by His Grace and Love.
Being only our temporal place the things on earth will one day cease,
So as we seek His loving face God fills our heart with Eternal Peace.

For The Grace of God has appeared to teach us how to live each day,
With a heart of reverent fear, as we live in this present wicked age.
As we wait for our Blessed Lord who redeemed every single one of us,
We can all rest assured that He will deliver us from this wickedness.

Lessons learned...

I sit and stare into the vastness of space,
Desperate to find my path and my place.
I ponder what's gone and what's yet to be,
When shall this heart I own ever be free.

Is it a known fact, or just a guess?
That life means little and death means less.
That through all this sorrow, grief and pain,
We shall live our life's in utter vain.

I like to think we're meant for much more,
That the life we live shall tally a score.
And the souls we lost amidst such sorrow,
Shall hold us close in our final tomorrow.

Yet the truth I fear is not what I yearn,
We should all seek to be a lesson to be learned.
For each generation must add to the last,
So we do not repeat the mistakes of our past...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Sonnet-All Things Happen Through God

Yeah, Man can't solve all problems in his life,
And only when he can't, he thinks of God;
No man on earth needs God if not for strife;
Man thinks he can do things all, tho’ he's clod.

The devils lie that sin gives joy all life;
And men become a victim of false hope;
Man ventures forth in sinful ways so rife,
And God gives woes to check him- he can't cope!

And when his sins affect his body, mind;
The fear of death, disease, suff'rings loom high;
Man thinks of God again; So, Peace he'll find;
His soul is cleansed and no more like pig-sty.

God gives more grace to souls in contrition;
Man does more good as acts of attrition.
