Two Walls
Before you stands to great big walls.
One is shame and one is guilt.
And these two walls that you hide behind.
These are the two walls that you've built.
I know of this, these last few days.
The time I did reflect.
Another wall it was called my pride.
And it's what I would protect.
Fight tooth and nail, lay my life down.
For whose life just did I fight?
For the people I hurt by my misdeeds?
Of course not, I was right.
'They deserved it all' I truly thought.
As I masked my inner pain.
'I did was was right' my pride replied.
And then the payback came.
It didn't feel so comfortable.
When I got back what I dished.
If pain is what you serve your friends.
Then it's for pain that you wish.
Do onto others as you do yourself.
It's what our savior taught.
You handed them what they deserved.
And deserved just what you got.
The painful truth I call it now.
When you live a life of lies.
So love your brothers and sisters here.
See through your Father's eyes.
Then never again do you have to live.
The life that you once lead.
The Father says He'll find the lost.
And raise them from the dead.

Walls
Walls of stone and walls of brick,
Some walls thin and some walls thick,
Walls so high and walls so low,
Walls to hide and walls to show.
Walls quite short and walls quite tall,
Some walls, last well, some walls fall,
Walls for comfort, walls of hate,
Walls for security, walls ornate.
Some as a barricade, some to support,
Walls of wood and walls of iron wrought,
Walls as a barrier, walls to enclose,
Some are to sit on, some to lean and doze.
Walls we build ourselves, these aren't good,
Walls for privacy, walls that have stood,
So many years through weather foul or fine,

Movin' On
When I think about my life, I wonder if I will survive to see 25 or will I fall? Like my friends, they just keep dying. People round me always crying. In this place that I like to call my home. Not everybody knows that everybody goes to a better place. Not everybody knows that everybody could be living their last days. But the hard times will come and we'll keep movin' on, we're movin' up. Keep movin' on. Life, Hope, Truth, Trust, Faith, Pride, Love, Lust. On without the things we've lost. The tings we've gained we'll take with us. Pain Has Never Left
For an Eternity I’ve felt anger
For a lifetime I’ve felt Pain
I feel pain for the little girl in me that had to grow up before her time
I feel pain for the teenager that never got the chance to have friends to lime
I feel pain for the young woman who everyone used trickery and deceit on
I feel pain for the adult who gave her hold life and soul to carry her baby
I feel pain for the adult who had her baby too early and prayed for him to survive

No one understands
No one comprehends the pain I feel

Who Understands Me But Me
They turn the water off, so I live without water,
they build walls higher, so I live without treetops,
they paint the windows black, so I live without sunshine,
they lock my cage, so I live without going anywhere,
they take each last tear I have, I live without tears,
they take my heart and rip it open, I live without heart,
they take my life and crush it, so I live without a future,
they say I am beastly and fiendish, so I have no friends,
they stop up each hope, so I have no passage out of hell,
they give me pain, so I live with pain,
they give me hate, so I live with my hate,
they have changed me, and I am not the same man,
they give me no shower, so I live with my smell,
they separate me from my brothers, so I live without brothers,
who understands me when I say this is beautiful?
who understands me when I say I have found other freedoms?
I cannot fly or make something appear in my hand,
I cannot make the heavens open or the earth tremble,
I can live with myself, and I am amazed at myself, my love, my beauty,
I am taken by my failures, astounded by my fears,
I am stubborn and childish,
in the midst of this wreckage of life they incurred,
I practice being myself,
and I have found parts of myself never dreamed of by me,
they were goaded out from under rocks in my heart
when the walls were built higher,
when the water was turned off and the windows painted black.
I followed these signs
like an old tracker and followed the tracks deep into myself
followed the blood-spotted path,
deeper into dangerous regions, and found so many parts of myself,
who taught me water is not everything,
and gave me new eyes to see through walls,
and when they spoke, sunlight came out of their mouths,
and I was laughing at me with them,
we laughed like children and made pacts to always be loyal,

All I Wanted Was to Make YOU Proud
This fire in my blood
This fire in my eyes
The fire that come shooting,
right out of my damned mouth.
This fire of the rage!
This fire of the pain.
This fire of the anger,
that is burning in my head
I feel all the hatred
I feel so damn used
Walked through streets so flooded,
to get a glimpse of you
I got nothing of you
I didn't even get a look
The closest i was to you,
was the radiation from my phone
I don't know what i was doing
I wasn't thinking straight
Just thought that you'd be happy
If i was really there
I thought that you'd be angered
And would say i didn't care
I risked my life!
I risked my health.
My family was in second place
You were first through my mind
You were my main concern
To make you happy was my wish..
It didn't come true
I feel crushed and devastated
I guess hard enough, i didn't try
It's my fault your ankles broken,
When the sirens sound, I start to cry
Did you want to see me?
Do you really care?
What if i'd been stolen?
What if i'd been raped?
Well, it would of been
all of my damned fault
I shouldn't take a risk
For things that don't matter
I took a risk for you
My life was on the line
I didn't even think it twice
About me, i didn't give a damn
All i wanted was to see you
I wanted to know you were alright
I wanted to make you happy
I wanted to make you proud
That you knew you had a girlfriend that was there,
no matter what
But apparently i wasn't there
I guess i wasn't at all
So maybe you want better
Someone that's truly there
No matter what...
I'm not good enough now
And maybe i deserved to be drenched.

Maybe i deserved the cuts on my hands

Pain in my mind
Pain in my mind
Pain is what I go through,
Everyday
This pain fills me
Pain stuffed inside of me
Pain of stress on my life
You can feel the pain in my heart
I hide the pain behind the smile
I see myself in the past and I,
Dont want to return
I never knew how much pain,
cant hurt.
The memories of pain live,
on and on,
So much sadness in me
Years have passed,
Life begins again.

Abuse
Often in one's life
You hear about abuse
And those of you
Not touched by abuse
Are the lucky ones
I believe are true
But abuse comes
In many forms
And it affects
Your life in many ways
That carries only for you
A burden of shame
You cry alone at nights
Thinking can anyone
Understand my pain
You're to scared to share
Of the shame you think is yours
You're to scared to tell
Your family the ones you love the most
Of your burdens and your pain
So feeling as you do
You take it out in vain
On addictions that slowly
Burn your soul away
You feel defiled
You feel alone
You feel that life
As been to cruel
And often in desperation
You try to injure yourself in vain
But if you live
Past all of that
And swallow all your fears
And just let your family know
How unhappy is your soul
They will say with love and care
It was never really your fault
You must never feed the guilt of shame
It was never yours to bare
Now live your life with out the shame
And live with pride for who you are
A daughter, a mother, a sister an aunt
And even a friend

Like Father Like Son
He was raised in the english way
His daddy taught him respect, he taught him how to pray
They sent him off to boarding school
Where he learned how to live by someone elses rule
And he went to confession
He went to confession
Holy father wash my sins away

Mother mary take the pain away
He read letters from home at night in his bed
And got this uneasy feeling when his father said

He bought his daddys car and he learned to drive
And when he left school he got a nine to five
He met the girl and he got his spouse
And they had the child and they got the house
