He stood in the shadows
of a broken home.
His eyes dull,
his demeanour solemn.
Clarity evaded him
his problems
were blinding

As Night Descends
The night descends,
The light mixing dark, together they blend,
Shadows pounce upon the light,
Forever turning daylight, into night.
Shadows toy and play,
They own the night... Now they shall seize the day,
They sit upon the earth, and watch light decay,
Illuminated light fragments,
like dust they float, Then fall away,
I shall sit with these shadows,
and enjoy corrupt fun,
watch the light fall, as the shadows have won.
My family of shadows, humble yet dark,
always living in turmoil, killing the light, fading the last spark.
The light is no more, we've won....

With eyes closed against the bright light
With eyes closed against the bright light
of the new morning, shadows creep into my thoughts
shadows and longings to lost love
and the way that things were supposed to be
and I wonder why life has stripped you from me
and there are no answers that I see
in the blinding light of reality
and sometimes it feels like, looks like
as if even every ant, every insect has a destiny designed
and it feels as if the world
gives choices, that mornings comes with clarity
but for me
who keeps struggling on

Inside The Cave
we are witness to the shadows in the cave.
Not to be mislead we touch each others' hands.
When we open our eyes we become more confused.
There are more shadows born when we begin to speak.
We are always patient. We imagine soon, always, the
soon in the shadows. Light created more shadows.
We fear it sometimes. We begin to mistrust it.
We are still inside this cave with all the shadows
of ourselves. We do not like to move, we are mocked
We are imitated by our shadows inside the cave.
Tomorrow is the exit. We become friends of the Light.

When evening shadows fall,
She hangs her cares away
Like empty garments on the wall
That hides her from the day;

In the pool of the fountain
the sky reflect cobalt blue
and shadows fall over the inner court
and there are images sprouting up
whirling in my brain about you and me

Shadows
Shadows in the sunlight
play games with my eyes.
They're changable, imperceptible
and soon I realize
that shadows are just shadows
and not the real thing.
But still I am intrigued by them
because to me they bring
so many different things to see
that really are not there.
For when that sunlight disappears
the shadows are nowhere.

Black & white and shades of grey.
The curfew marks the fading of the light.
Now is the time when shadows congregate.
In hidden corners where they wait.
To welcome eagerly the fall of night.
Although by daylight forced to hide from sight.
The fall of darkness sets the shadows free
To go about their business secretly.
The quiet hours when the shadows claim their right.
But dawn will come and with the dawn daylight.
The shadows then are forced to hide away.

Shadows
We should love the shadows
How deep they are, how mysterious
But instead we dread the shadows
Fearing that one day, our lives will be captured
By the shadows with their dark embrace
We should love the shadows
How they lure us into the night
But instead we fear the shadows
Fearing that they will be our end
Shadows Of Love
Shadows kiss
without kissing,
touch
without touching,
yearn for love,
never knowing
it's warmth.
Lovers smooch
in a doorway,
where light falls
from windows,
while shadows,
they drift
over walls.
Dancing
so spritely
they trip
and they tango
deflecting the light,
as they fly
and they prance.
They climb
and they slide
through a window,
all cosy,
lie down on a duvet
unseen
by sharp eyes.
They endeavour
to woo and when
time meets the sun,

Old Fires
The fire burns low
Where it has burned ages ago,
Sinks and sighs
As it has done to a hundred eyes
Staring, staring
At the last cold smokeless glow.
Here men sat
Lonely and watched the golden grate
Turn at length black;
Heard the cooling iron crack:
Shadows, shadows,
Watching the shadows come and go.

I hear, the soft fire's sob and kiss,
