Where would I be without the cross?
I went back to the cross again in despair
and knelt at the feet of Jesus there.
'It's me dear Lord, I've come once more'
'For I've been here many times before.'
'I know my child, ' my Lord said to me
'But I'm so glad that you've come to Me.
My love for you is so unconditional
you can come to Me at any time at all.'
'Lord, ' I said, 'How can this ever be
that you could show such love to me.
For I am weak and prone to sin
and I feel so dreadful within.'
Then Jesus said, 'My child, Look at Me.'
and I gazed into His eyes to see
the love of God shining from inside
and His arms opened there so wide.
Outstretched as they were in loving care
for that repentant sinner kneeling there.
Held out for me in embracing love
the 'agape' love of God poured from above.
'My God, ' my soul cried out in shame
as tears flowed from my eyes again
'Such love is undeserved by me
a wretched man of clay and misery.'
'The wages of sin is death' Jesus cried
and the law must be fully satisfied.'
'So your sin has been laid upon Me
and by my stripes you've been set free'
'My love is poured out for everyone
who comes to Me as you have done.'
'For there was no other way for Me
to forgive you and set you free'
**************
Where would I be without the cross?
Weighed down with my load of sin and loss.
Struggling against unnumbered foes
With no Saviours love and so full of woes
Praise God for the cross of Christ
For His love and wonderful sacrifice
For the victory that Jesus has won
For the new that I have now begun

Today... 'My Banner
The Banner of Jesus is flying high
there nailed upon the cross was He to die.
With arms opened wide as a flag unfurled
as men passed by and their insults hurled.
Upon Calvary's hilltop the banner flies

There the veil of the temple was torn in two
and heavens door opened we go through.
He said 'When I am hung upon the tree'

At Just The Right Time
My friend, at just the right time, God showed a love you can’t deny.
He paid to men the ultimate price, by sending His Son as a sacrifice.
A sacrifice for all the world to see upon the hill known as Calvary.
There Christ died upon a cross for both the righteous and the lost.
However, the righteous could not see that He came to set them free.
Freed from the curse of sin, and this freedom is only found in Him.
He became a curse for you and me, for cursed is anyone upon a tree.
But the righteous would have no part, for they had a hardened heart.
No greater love to commend than one who gives his life for a friend.
One may die for a friend in need, but, who would die for an enemy?
And that’s what His love did show, as Christ died for friend and foe.
He came down from Heaven above to save the unrighteous with His Love.
The world was so loved by The Lord that wrath upon Christ was poured.
The wicked cross by Christ was endured to reconcile man to The Lord.
Payment for sin was paid in full, so with Christ we could eternally rule.
A place in The Kingdom you will receive if you trust God and believe.
Believe and you won’t perish, just embrace the cross that we cherish.
If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that He was restored,
Restored to life from the grave, and my friend, you shall be saved.
And through The Lord Jesus Christ, you shall have Everlasting Life.

God’s Eternal Presence
Friend you can see the hand of God, all across this earth men trod.
The presence of God is everywhere, even in lives who do not care.
The Lord is omnipresent friend; a presence man can’t comprehend.
Friend, even in this land of ours, His presence extends to the stars.
And men are blessed in this place, with God’s overwhelming Grace.
This country is blessed abundantly, by The God that man can’t see.
Friend God’s love for us will endure, in this land from shore to shore,
That is, for those men in this life, who’ve come to know Jesus Christ.
But there are men on another path, heading for God’s Eternal Wrath.
He is also a God of Justice friend, and He shall put all evil to an end.
As vengeance belongs to The Lord; and His judgment will be poured.
That’s when every eye shall see, Jesus Christ is The Lord of Eternity.
But His Mercy God extends to all, all under the curse of Adam’s fall.
A mercy to us, so underserved, for the sinfulness that we’ve served.
The death that we’re deserving of, Christ justified through His Love.
The Love of His Son Jesus Christ, who on the cross paid that price.
The Love of God is second to none, for He sent to us His Only Son,
Christ who died a death on a cross, a sinless lamb slain for the lost.
God’s gift to men sent from above, Gracious Mercy wrapped in Love.
And through the death of Jesus Christ, all men can gain Eternal Life.

You Chose To Climb The Hill And Not Turn Back
'Father, not My will, but Yours be done, ' You said
then climbed the hill to the cross Your blood to shed.
There You chose to bear my pain and wear my shame
even though You were innocent and not to blame.
A load much heavier than the cross You bore
piercing deeper than the crown of thorns You wore.
You were smitten of God and forsaken too
when my sin came between the Father and You.
There lash by lash the price for each sin You paid
as all my guilt and shame upon You was laid.
Then 'It is finished, ' in victory You cried
as You bowed Your head upon that cross and died.
Deep waves of love and mercy flowed from the cross
as Your blood was poured out all my sins to wash.
They're gone as far as the East is from the West
and I'm now forgiven and so very blessed.
Because You hung there on the cross in my stead.
Because Your blood was upon the altar shed.
Because of You, Lord Jesus I can go free.
Because You chose the road to Calvary.
Poem: Song to the Holy Cross
The cross of love:
The cross I love:
The cross I'd loved all life;
The wooden cross:
The holy cross:
The cross that bore man's strife.
The oaken cross:
The heavy cross:
The cross Jesus carried;
The cross on which
Christ Lord was nailed:
And bore man's sins indeed.
The cross of death:
The blood-stained cross:
The Savior, man, redeemed;
The cross of life's
Victory o'er death:
That souls on earth must heed.

I Love You Lord Jesus
I love you, Lord.
I love you, Lord
More than anyone in this world
Because Your love is the greatest of all.
I love you, Lord
For You are my Protector
When the world is against me.
I love you, Lord
Because You are the one
Who gives me strength and hope.
I love you, Lord
Because You alone
Who understand me.
I love you, Lord
Because You love me
More than I love you.
I love you, Lord
For helping my family,
Relatives, and friends.
I love you, Lord
Because You are my guiding light
When my life is full of darkness.
O Lord, so many reasons to love you
But even without these reasons,
I still love you, Lord Jesus.
I know,
You have loved me before,
You love me now,
You will love me tomorrow,
And for the rest of my life.
I love you, Lord Jesus...

God’s Enduring Love
Our God’s Love endures forever, for He had saved a fool like me,
Now one, who had loved Him never, is a child of God for Eternity.
And the love He has placed within, now permeates my entire life,
Love led me to leave a life of sin, and now I live for Jesus Christ.
Now as I seek The Lord above; traversing this earthly sod below,
He fills me with Christ’s love; then from my heart it begins to flow.
God’s Love will flow abundantly, to all men who choose to come,
And then continue on eternally, in all those who know God’s Son.
As God’s love in me increases, while I live out this life everyday,
Old sinfulness within me ceases, as I travel Christ’s narrow way.
As Christ’s love grows in my heart, a joy and peace flows within,
Friend this peace shall not depart, for it comes through only Him.
God’s Love flows from the cross, reaching back to that paradise,
Where God can reach all the lost, to touch men with His sacrifice.
The sacrifice of God’s love for all, from a cross His love endures,
Redeeming man from Adam’s fall, His Only Son, Christ our Lord,
Now Christ, who for all had died, is reigning on His throne above,
Seated by His Father’s right side, and wanting to extend His love.
A love God extends to every heart, when His Son they do receive,
When they simply do their part, and in Jesus Christ, today believe.

That Name
There is a name that is so precious,
A name so wonderful to me.
This name is worthy of all praises.
Because of him, I am made free.
That name is jesus, oh how I love him.
The one who gave, his life for me.
Because of love, so unconditional,
I will have life, eternally.
This name speaks peace, unto my storm clouds,
This name speaks calm, unto me fears.
And when I feel, that no one loves me.
His loving presence is so near.
That name is jesus, oh how I love him.
The one who gave, his life for me.
Because of love, so unconditional,
I will have life, eternally.
Praise that name!
Praise that name!
Praise that name!
Praise that name!
Someday Ill leave, this earthly dwelling,
To find a place, my soul will soar.
And finally see, the face of jesus.
And praise his name, forevermore!
That name is jesus, oh how I love him!
The one who gave, his life for me!
Because of love, so unconditional,
I will have life, eternally.
Excellent is that name!
Glorious is that name!
Wonderful is that name!
Oh praise that name!

Jesus’ Cross
The Holy Cross beckons
To follow Jesus Christ;
The source of strength and joy
To souls, for Lord athirst!
The Holy Cross guides us
To walk upon His steps;
The Son of God had died
To save mankind from sins.
The Holy Cross reminds
To place our trust in God;
Jesus resurrected
To annul man from rod.
The Holy Cross signals
That life has crosses, woes;
Yet, we must tread fearless;
Engages God, our foes!
The Holy Cross goads us
To carry each one’s cross;
Our war with satan’s won,
By Jesus, without loss!
The Holy Cross renews
Our ties with Jesus Lord;
He will come in glory
To judge mankind by Word!

Let love of Jesus Christ…
Let love of Jesus Christ
Goad you to spread the Word
Across the world to all
And gather souls for God.
Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to sacrifice
Your life to follow Him
On the road to heaven.
Let love of Jesus Christ
Make you carry your cross
And walk in the footsteps
Of Christ to Calvary.
Let love of Jesus Christ
Serve to encounter Him
In miraculous ways
Reinforcing your faith.
Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to realize
The aim of earthly life
Is keeping soul sinfree.
Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to sing and pray
For conversion of souls
And that more may see God!

The Love of The Cross
Love my friend, is best described, by The One who came and died.
Sent down by The Father’s Love, from His Heavenly Throne above.
Christ left His Throne in Eternity, and came to earth for you and me.
Friend, He came with His life to give, so that all men could truly live.
Because The Father loved us so, God sent His Son for all to know,
Whosoever would believe in Him, Christ would wash away their sin,
To be remembered by God no more, if you accept His Son as Lord.
For His love sent Jesus Christ, to the cross as our atoning sacrifice.
God’s Love was sent for all men, who in trespass stood condemned.
While we were still sinners friend, Jesus who had no sin died for men.
What better love could there be, than One who died for you and me?
And through the Love of Jesus Christ, He grants all men Eternal Life.
And in His Love God did not leave, all those men who would believe.
From them, Christ did not depart, as He sent His Spirit into our heart.
The very moment that we believed, The Holy Spirit we then received.
The Holy Spirit sent to us by Christ, is a guide and comfort in our life.
The Love God displayed on the cross, was for a world of sinners lost.
God’s Love is available to anyone, who by faith shall accept His Son.
The Love of Christ will never end, and all you do is believe my friend.
Then His Love will fill you and me, from the cross through all Eternity.

He's mine boasted the grave in victory
‘He's mine' boasted the grave in victory
'He is dead so now he belongs to me'
Mary and Martha gazed on in despair
Wishing that Jesus had been with them there
Then Martha met Jesus coming to Bethany
to share in their deep grief and agony
Then she told Mary who came to see
and fell at His feet weeping helplessly
'Lord if only you had been on the scene
Then Lazarus' death would never have been'
Four days he had lain in Death's sepulchre
far beyond the reach of any earthly care
'Believe in the Resurrection' He said
For He had the power to raise the dead
'Yes I believe that You're the Son of God'
'Whatever You ask will be granted Lord'
'Where have you laid him? ' sadly Jesus sighed
'Come and see, Lord, ' both the women replied.
Seeing their helplessness at the graveside
Deep tears of sorrow the Son of God cried
They opened the tomb, rolled the stone away
Then they heard Jesus in a loud voice say
'Lazarus come out' and amazingly they saw
That he who had been dead was dead no more
'Remove the grave clothing and let him go'
and each semblance of death was removed so
There His power over death Jesus did show
in that town of Bethany long ago
************
I was dead and in sins sepulchre lay
And then I heard the voice of Jesus say
'Roy come forth from the dead', I came to Him
and stood at the cross wrapped in all my sin
He washed me in His blood so pure and clean
I was made the cleanest I'd ever been
Sins linen bands He removed from my soul
and I stood before Him restored and whole
Come witness the miracle taken place
Here stands a poor sinner saved by His grace
For the Holy Spirit has quickened me
And the power of Jesus has set me free
So, grave no longer gloat in victory
You've been conquered by the King of Glory
Death no longer has any hold on me
now that my Lord Jesus has set me free
Written after reading John 11: 17-44
I Stand In Awe
Indeed once again I stand in awe, as God is so big and I’m so small,
And yet, He showed His love for me, by sending His Son to Calvary,
Sent not to be praised by men, but so that He would be condemned,
As Christ had come to this earth, so that I could have a second birth.
Friend, once again, I stand amazed, that a sinner, like me was raised,
Raised up by God to a New Life, through His Only Son, Jesus Christ,
And now positioned in Heaven above, sealed forever by God’s Love,
Paying for all men, sin’s full price, by sending Jesus as our Sacrifice.
As death is the penalty for our sin, and that was all placed upon Him,
Upon Jesus, God’s Eternal Son, not simply for me, but for everyone,
For all the sin of this entire world, upon Him, God’s Wrath was hurled,
Down upon the Cross of Calvary; God’s wrath meant for you and me.
In truth I’m humbled by the thought, that salvation for all was wrought,
Truly, for each and every nation, affirmed by Christ’s own declaration,
“It Is Finished” while on the cross, God’s Salvation, for all sinners lost,
As all the world’s Eternal Creator, became for all men Lord and Savior.
All of our punishment, Christ endured, while God’s Wrath was poured,
Upon God’s Lamb, in our place, as He established this Age of Grace,
With Christ’s act He would preserve, an Eternal Life, we don’t deserve,
As Holy Children of God’s Family, to reign with Jesus Christ Eternally.

The Resurection
the resurection of JESUS has come into my life.
yet! what i see is different from what you might see.
he made the ultimate sacrifice for his GOD up above.
but while on this earth, he showed us his love.
look upon his face while on the cross
he was crying for humanity.
his arms outstretched to tell us the LORDS word
must be spread from one corner of the earth
to the other.
HIS feet nailed together to tell us
that we must unite as one.
the holes in his hands and feet
is the depth of his love for us.
HE showed us to believe in something
that we could not see.
that belief has come with our baptism.
and when i see CHRIST on the cross
my love deepens even more.
to see the sacrifice that he made for you and me
and through his love, he set us free.
as he was taken down from the cross
and put into the tomb.
GOD began to heal his wounds.
just as GOD took seven days to make the earth
he took three days to bring CHRIST back to us.
so we could see the love he has for you and me.
he showed the apostles and the people
who did'nt believe
that his son would live through eternity.

Blind Bartimaeus
He would not let Jesus pass him by.
Called out to the Saviour with a loud cry.
It was his last chance to be made whole.
For blind from birth was this poor soul.
The crowd rebuked him to keep silent
but he cried out the more for he was intent
not to miss the Lord and let him pass by.
'Have mercy on me' was his loud cry.
Jesus stopped and bid them bring the man.
And jumping to his feet to Jesus he ran.
The Lord then said 'What do you want of me? '
'Rabbi', Bartimaeus said, 'I want to see.'
Immediately Jesus restored his sight
for he had faith that Jesus would put it right.
Then following Jesus along the way
his life had been miraculously changed that day.
As Bartimaeus we too have been born blind
and need like him the Saviour to find.
To cry 'Son of David have mercy on me.
Open my eyes, Lord, I want to see.'
It is at the cross that all can see
the extent of God's love for you and me.
And say to Jesus, 'Saviour hear my cry
while You touch others do not pass me by.'
Based on Mark 10: 46-52
* Spiritually blind
Away In A Manger
Away in a manger, no crib for his bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradle 'til morning is neigh.
Instrumental
Believe me, Lord Jesus, I asked thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me I pray
Bless all of the dear children in thy tender care
And take us to heaven to live with thee there...

Good Friday...
Behold the wood that went to make the cross
That bore the Saviour Lord, King Jesus Christ:
The holy cross at Calvary on which
Was hung, the Redeemer of mankind race!
That man was only Son of God in flesh,
Who suffered, shed His precious blood as price
For every sin of everyone on earth,
Of Adam and of Eve in lineage!
It wasn’t about the cross that Jesus bore;
It was about the One who hung on it!
He came to earth as Mary’s baby boy,
And gave to men the Good News, peace and joy!
The cross of wood assumed significance
When Jesus died upon it for our sins;
The sacrifice supreme was love of God
For creature man of clay whom He had made!
When Christ resurrected upon third day,
And won o’er death and satan for all times,
The holy cross became the weapon sole
That scares away the devils back to hell!
The cross became the symbol of Christians,
Reminding man of Salvation for all,
As Christ had paid the price on our behalf,
And turned to be the Truth, Light, Way to God!
The holy cross beckons each one of us
To take up each one’s cross and follow Christ;
It is the only hope for all mankind
As life on earth becomes so meaningful!
God’s Love was born on Christmas day as Christ!
Man’s sins nailed Him to death upon the cross!
Christ’s obeisance to Father freed mankind
If repentant, from Fiery Pit of hell!
Reflect on passions Christ had undergone,
Before He died upon the holy cross;
Follow His teachings and precepts for man;
Heaven is nigh for sinners penitent!

Is God In The Picture?
Is The Lord God in your picture, or is God just a religious fixture?
Friend is Jesus Christ real to you, involved in all you say and do?
Or does The Lord God have no part, in your life or in your heart?
Has Jesus Christ become your boss, or just an Icon on a cross?
God dear friend is real indeed; who’s there for all in time of need.
You may still have Him on a cross, where He died for all the lost,
But He’s no longer upon that tree; He rose again for you and me.
God dear friend is Jesus Christ, who died to bring us Eternal Life.
Jesus Christ became a Sacrifice, to pay for men an eternal price,
The price was God’s Only Son, who paid sin’s debt for everyone.
For on that day our debt was paid, when all sin on Christ was laid.
God did this so men could know, God in Heaven who loves us so.
Christ does not need you or me, to rule and reign for all Eternity,
God is truly real dear friend; Christ is the Beginning and the End.
And even if you don’t believe, Christ loved you friend on Calvary,
However, you must believe in Him, for God to forgive all your sin.
Why turn your back on the love, of God who’s reigning up above?
Why not trust Christ who died, now reigning at The Father’s side?
Won’t you today embrace The One, God who gave His Only Son?
Why don’t you friend believe today, in God’s only everlasting way?
