The touch of Jesus - Part 5
The touch of Jesus makes me feel so whole
The touch of Jesus purifies my soul
The touch of Jesus cleanses me from sin
The touch of Jesus gives me peace within
High on the mountain top God's voice I heard
And fell to the ground on hearing His word
Terrified by what I had just been through
But You touched me and I saw only You

Jesus
In California
Forever summer and hot
Into the ocean
You're smiling a lot
On sandy beaches
And the blankets are hot
You're in my arms
And I kiss your heart
Jesus, don't touch my baby
Jesus, don't touch my baby
Jesus, don't touch my baby
She's all that I got
Reflections coming
In through the sheets
You love your baby
are sweet
Out on the highway
We ride tonight
Jesus don't know you
He was just saying "Hi"
Don't touch my baby
Jesus, don't touch my baby

White Republican Male Jesus?

black Jesus, brown Jesus,
Asian Jesus, atheist Jesus,
female Jesus, poor Jesus,
jobless Jesus, prison Jesus,
homeless Jesus, illegal immigrant Jesus?
dog Jesus, cat Jesus,
baby in a dumpster Jesus,
addict Jesus, old Jesus?
gay Jesus, union Jesus,
hungry Jesus, foreign Jesus?
bumming a cup of coffee Jesus?
brother Jesus, sister Jesus?
just bombed Jesus,
food stamp Jesus?
how many bodies? how many crosses?
you tell me!

O Jesus
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who was the Word of God…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and was always in the Thoughts of God…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who was born of the Virgin Mary…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, and peace be upon his mother Mary…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who the Holy Spirit of God was given…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one who in the name of God, casted out demons…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one they said slanderous things about…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, the one they tried to blot out…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and was sinless…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came to the temple and became relentless…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came to the Israelites to teach them the Gospel…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, who came and did things that were impossible…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who is the Prophet and Christ…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who the Scriptures prophesised…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who Almighty God raised up…
O Jesus, peace be upon him, he who Almighty God will send back and amaze us.

Touching The Hem Of His Garment
For many years this woman sought healing.
Then she came to Jesus in secret feeling
'I only have to reach out and touch him so
There is no need for anyone else to know.'
The Lord knows when we reach out as she did.
So secretly and our actions from all others hid.
For there true healing of soul takes place
when we come to Jesus by God's grace
Let's reach out to Jesus just as this woman did
and not keep our sorrows and feelings hid.
As you touch Jesus, He also touches you
And with His touch deep healing comes through.
Written after reading Matthew 9: 18-22
Prophet Jesus
Jesus we miss you so much
We want your miracle touch.
Jesus please come as soon as possible
To end the war and strife once and for all.
Jesus please pray to God
We know His mind is broad.
Jesus please come now or never
We need you now more than ever.

Sonnet: The Name of Jesus…
The name of Jesus gives us grace anew;
The name of Jesus cures minds of evils;
The name of Jesus portrays divine view;
The name of Jesus drives away devils.
The name of Jesus works great miracles;
The name of Jesus brings solace to all;
The name of Jesus flashes parables;
The name of Jesus makes a clarion call!
The name of Jesus wards off dangers great;
The name of Jesus acts like holy knives!
The name of Jesus changes sad a fate;
The name of Jesus saves all sinners’ lives.
The name of Jesus will convert a soul;
The name of Jesus leads souls to God’s goal!

I Believe In Jesus
Ran into mother mary down on line
Street in l.a.
She was preaching the gospel
She was singing how jesus saves
When a crowd of passing tourists
Looked to see what they could see
You know before they know it she had
Them all down on their knees
I believe in jesus you know I know him
Oh so well
And Im going to heaven by and by
cause I already been through hell
I believe in jesus, in jesus, in jesus
I believe in jesus, in jesus
So onward christian soldiers still
Marching as to war
With the cross of jesus just going on before
Now jesus was a little lamb, his fleece
Was white as snow
And every where that jesus went
This lamb is sure to go
Well I believe in jesus you know I know him
Oh so well
And Im going to heaven by and by
cause I saved my soul from going to hell
I believe in jesus, in jesus, in jesus
I believe in jesus, in jesus
Look at the sheep cause theyre
Running fast
They wanna make it through the gates
At last
So onward christian soldiers still
Marching as to war
With the cross of jesus just going on before
I believe in jesus, in jesus
I believe in jesus, in jesus.....

Salvation
how many Jesus's does it take?
rock n roll Jesus, civil rights Jesus,
sexual Jesus, Baptist Jesus,
Pentecostal snake Jesus...
heroin Jesus, small town family Jesus,
necklace Jesus, tattoo Jesus,
illegal immigrant Jesus...
Jesus on the cross in a drunk tank Jesus,
Marlboro Jesus, county fair Jesus,
pray for Armagadden Jesus...
or just a man,
living one day, one moment,
one bare naked dirty human need
at a time...
with open hands, open heart,
and open mind!

My Jesus
My Jesus is like a voice in the dark
My Jesus is like a lonely warning
My Jesus is like a fear that haunts me
My Jesus is like a tortured memory
I'm Praying for my soul
My Jesus is a collector of pain
My Jesus says
"Pain will prove you love me"
My Jesus is like a shadow crawling
My Jesus says
"Their screams will guide you to me"
I'm Praying for your soul

Nothing But the Blood
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon this I see -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my cleansing, this my plea -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Nothing can for sin atone -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my hope and peace -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
CHORUS
Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

High On Jesus
(kinky friedman)
Walking down division street
I happened on to meet
A stranger with a package in his hand.
He said, mister, if you follow me
Rainbow colors you will see,
Ill take your head into the promised land.
friend, I dont need your stuff,
My jesus is enough.
You see them colors bright,
Why cant you see the light ?
Lets get high on jesus, high on jesus,
I believe that he was here in town.
Flying high on jesus, high on jesus,
Im so high Im never coming down.
One man buys a nickel sack,
Another buys a cadillac,
They both think they will drive their cares away.
But neither thinks to lend a hand
To help his struggling fellow man,
Theyd better buy their tickets now for judgment day.
Oh, friend, lets try to score
For peace and not for war,
For love and not for hate
Before it gets too late.
Lets get high on jesus, high on jesus,
Aint you ever heard the nashville sound ?
Flying high on jesus, high on jesus,
I guess, my friend, the lord still gets around.
An angry mob confronted me
By the university,
down with this and down with that they cried.
A burning bottle in his hand,
A long-haired youth screamed, come on, man,
The conscience of america has died!
friend, I dont get my kicks
Starting fires and throwing bricks,
I pray someday you find
The gentle reason im
So high on jesus, high on jesus,
They tried to put his body under ground.
Flashing high on jesus, high on jesus,
But friend, you just cant keep the good man down.
Oh, lets get high on jesus, high on jesus,
They tried to put his body under ground.
Flashing high on jesus, high on jesus,
But friend, you just cant keep the good man down.

Drops of Blood
I touched her weeping heart,
The Leper's.
It's pretty warm and no scars to be seen.
Then I heard the inner song
Like a psalm.
'I am on my way to Calvary
To touch the drops of blood
Lost by our Lord Jesus.'
[Family in crisis the son's lost in the childhood of Jesus; 'Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.']
-Luke 2: 48-
To the little girl (Pen pal) in Ethiopia, she requested a poem something about Jesus Christ since a long time in my fading dreams.

Go, Tell It On The Mountain
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
When I was just a learner
I sought by night and day
To have the good lord help me
To guide me on my way
For I am like a shepherd
My hopes and faith to guard
Each day I find the answer
And love is my reward
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
The shepherds kept their watching
Oer silent flocks by night
When lo! throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light
The shepherds feared and trembled
When high above the earth
Rang out an angels chorus
To hail our saviors birth
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Our jesus, jesus christ is born
That jesus christ is born
Go and tell, tell it on the mountain
That jesus christ, christ is born
